G3Ti200 Pro-TD compatibility with 845PE Max 2

I have a MSI G3Ti200 Pro-TD MS-8851 geforce 3 graphics card and a MSI 845PE Max 2 MS 6704 Mainboard. There is a sticker over the AGP port on the board which says I can only use AGP 1.5v 4x cards in the slot and If I dont I can seriously damage the mainboard. Will my card be compatible with the board?. Thanks

Logic Pro X compatibility with mbox 2 mini and 2009 core duo macbook

I currently have Pro Tools LE 8.0.3 and an Mbox2 Mini, both of which amazingly still work on Mountain Lion 10.8.4. I'm interested in learning Logic and am trying to confirm compatitility with the Mbox2 Mini on a first generation core duo Aluminum Macbook (2.4 Ghz) running 4gb of RAM. The system requirements just say 10.8.4 or later with a 64 bit processor. The Macbook runs fine, and I primarily just record stereo piano tracks, so it's not like I'm going to have 16 tracks running on it. Anyone using an Mbox2 Mini, and any issues with the hardware?

It's not an external device's compatibility with LPX that matters...
It's your external hardware's compatibility with whatever OS X version you are using to run LPX in.... that is important.
Im guessing you upgraded OS X about the same time you switched to LPX?

Note: Why is it showing Duet and not Quartet briefly? Are you sure you installed the correct drivers or did you, at one time have a Duet?
Additional: You might want to try this.. though I doubt it will fix things... but this can cure all kinds of weird issues...
Delete both the main plist and the CS file...
Delete the user preferences
You can resolve many issues by restoring Logic Pro X back to its original settings. This will not impact your media files. To reset your Logic Pro X user preference settings to their original state, do the following:
Quit Logic Pro
In the Finder, choose Go to Folder from the Go menu.
Type ~/Library/Preferences in the "Go to the folder" field.
Press the Go button.
Remove the com.apple.logic10.plist file from the Preferences folder. Note that if you have programmed any custom key commands, this will reset them to the defaults. You may wish to export your custom key command as a preset before performing this step. See the Logic Pro X User Manual for details on how to do this. If you are having trouble with a control surface in Logic Pro X, then you may also wish to delete the com.apple.logic.pro.cs file from the preferences folder.
Restart the computer.
Note: if you cannot find either of these files you didn't follow the instructions exactly as described

Avid Mbox Pro 3 Compatable with FCP?

I am attemping to use my Mbox Pro 3 to do voice over in both Final Cut Pro and Soundtrack Pro 3 but can not seem to get any audio into the application.
I have the core driver software and the MBox Driver installed on My MacPro and the Mbox Pro is selected under system Preferences as the input device. It shows that I am getting a sound level coming from my Mbox Pro into the computer as I can see the input level register in the sound preferences input window when I speak into my mic. For output, I currently have Headphones selected but I tried everthing at one time to see if I could get signal into FCP or STP.
When in FCP and with the voice over box open, it shows Mbox Pro as the source and input, yet I can get no signal level on the input level.
When in STP under preferences recording- input- I have the Mbox Pro selected.
I have track number 1 armed and ready to record and on the track- Mbox pro is selected.
Under the recording pane for track 1, the mbox pro is selected as the input device.
Everthing looks like it should work yet no audio signal on either level indicator in FCP 7 or STP 3.
Am I simply missing some key step or is the Mbox 3 Pro not compatible with FCS

Thanks for the suggestions Cristina. I finally got it to work and I'm not sure what the issue was. I was running a Rode NT2-A through a UA Solo 6-10 pre amp and then into Line input channel 3 of the Mbox Pro 3. For some reason, I could not get FCP or STP to see the signal coming out of the mbox into my Mac Pro. Out of desperation, I bypassed my UA preamp and ran my Rode directly into Mic channel 1 on the Mbox Pro and now the signal is comming into STP and FCP
Just to be sure, I switched it back and ran my mic into the UA pre amp first and then into input 3 of the Mbox PRo and again no signal registered in FCP or STP.
No clue why it won't see the signal if I'm running my mic through an external preamp first but at least I know I can get it to work with the Mbox 3's preamps although they are not as good as the UA.

Because I have read that it is a great SSD but is it great for my MacBook model and year without having to hassle tweaks,changes,or problems because it not really the right drive for my MacBook .

Flash Pro CS6 compatibility with Win 8

Any news on this matter. I've got a full CC installation on a win 7 home laptop, and would like to upgrade it to Win 8 (using the new Win Pro upgrade dvd), what impact am i going to expect, licensing problems or perhaps complete breakdown of the Cloud!

DVD Studio Pro 4 - Compatibility with Snow Leopard

Since installing Snow Leopard I have been unable to start DVD Studio Pro (4.0.3) - it shuts down immediately. I've tried getting the latest update for both Snow Leopard and DVD Studio Pro but that hasn't helped. Any suggestions?

If it worked and is Non-UB eventually issues could crop up, more so as more into the newer versions of the OS come out I would guess. But if you were running the version of DVD SP on your laptop with Snow Leopard and then after the software updates it stopped running, then in all likelihood it sounds like that one of the updates may have broke DVD SP in SL. Which updates did you install and can you roll back the system prior to the new software updates?
Deleting preferences could be something to also try.
User-> Prefs -> com.apple.dvdstudiopro.plist
You can also try to create another user account to see if that helps.

Is Final Cut Pro 6 compatable with OS X Lion?

I was thinking about upgrading my Macbook Pro to OS X Lion (I currently have 10.6.8), but have read in the reviews that there are some issues with older programs not being able to run. I use Final Cut Pro (6.0.4) very frequently, and would hate to have it be rendered useless. Does anyone know if this version of FCP will run on Lion?

ADOBE ACROBAT 8 PRO. COMPATIBILITY WITH READER 8

I have been creating forms successfully with them being edited by people with any version of Acrobat Reader. All of a sudden, certain version of Reader can not save my interactive forms and can only print hard copies - is this the result of a recent software update? Or is there a tick box I need to reset?

Thanks - I got there in the end, I was looking for the ability to change the settings in Livecycle Designer and didn't realise you had to open re-open the doc in Acrobat to enable user rights.

Premiere Pro CS5 Compatibility with Sony DSR-25 Deck

I have recently upgraded my computer to support cs5. I have a PNY Nvidia Quadro 2000 graphics card, 8 gb ram, an Intel Xeon 5150 processor and Windows 7 Professional 64-bit. My issue comes with running this system connected via firewire to a Sony DSR-25 deck. When connected, while working on a project, at any point I click on the file menu, it takes several seconds (sometimes half a minute) to load the drop-down menu. This is frustrating, but not entirely detrimental. The main problem is that when I try to capture video (I use the keyboard shortcut F5 to bypass my previous issue) the capture video will usually crash the program, or it will take forever and when I try to capture, it will miss almost the entire first minute of video trying to catch up. It starts rolling the tape, but just doesn't physically begin capturing at that time. I spoke to someone at Adobe and we narrowed the problem down to an issue with the deck, and I am trying to figure out if this deck is absolutely not compatible with this system or if there is some sort of work-around.

Try this:
In Windows: Click on Start -> Control Panel -> System -> Device Manager (up on top left), or just click the Start button and search for "device manager."
Swivel down the entry for "IEEE 1394 Bus host controllers, and right-click on the item that is revealed (will depend on your computer/card manufacturer). Select "Update Driver Software."
Click the "Browse my computer for driver software," and then the "Let me pick from a list" button.
In the list of drivers, select the one that has "(Legacy)" at the end; click Next, and then Close all the dialogs.
Try capturing again.

just got a new 845PE Max m/b + ATI9700 Pro. seem ok when boot up to WinXP. :]
BUT !!! when try to run my directx game the screen went rubbish... try with dxdiag .. same thing happen.. Directx 3D test show distorted screen... Only Direct3D test.. direct draw is ok
however if I try with Nvidia Ti 4400 ... everything is OK
why??? anyone encounter the same problem?? tell me what should I do??.. so sad buying the exp$$$$ ATI9700 pro.. but cannot play game with 845PE Max

ok.. I found out the cause to this FAULT
it is the PS.. cos' the PS 3.3V is faulty.. only can o/p 2.8V that's why those graphic card like ATI 9700 Pro that require ext power to the card cannot work.. (hence GeForce 2 and 4 Ti 4400 can work, cos' they dun require ext power)
