G3Ti200 Pro-VT and Pinnacle PCTV-Pro Cannot live together

From the moment I instal in one of my free PCIs the Pinnacle PCTV-Pro card, the MSI Clock, the MSI Information, Live update 3 (vbios.dll could not install..) etc do not work. A nessage in the start up of Windows XP presented saying .. exception error ...nvclock.dll,FnNvclock".
When I extract the PCTV card from my PC everything work OK.
Can anyone inform me if MSI VGA Card (MS-8850) and Pinnacle PCTV can live together ?

on the begining i'm sorry for my english and i wanna say hello to all users of Arch.
I need help. I have windows vista but i am not happy from this fact. I want use Arch linux on my desktop computer. I have gigabyte p35 ds3l mainboard, intel e4500 processor, gf8600 video card, 2GB RAM, internet on cable (not wi-fi) and Pinnacle pctv 7010ix tv tuner. I want watch tv on my computer (on windows is possible) but i do not know is this possible on archlinux on this tv tuner. Can anyone help me check this before i delete windows and format all drives?

I did what you mentioned here with no good result.
Some strange thing, in the hardware server settings the card is listed as you mentioned, but on FMLE is listed as "Pinnacle PCTV 713X Tuner BDA Analog" (strange hu?) maybe some driver issue?
Maybe we are wrong in what we want to achieve. We need to broadcast tv over internet. The thing is that if we open FMLE first, we dont get any video signal. We have to start Pinnacle TVCenter Pro first in order to get video on the FMLE...weird.

I'm having a bit of trouble confirming that the ZyXEL is a combination modem & wireless-N router. If it is, then you really won't get any advantages of using the 802.11g AirPort.
If the range of your ZyXEL is limited, you may find that doing either or both of the following will help: 1) Move the ZyXEL so that it is higher vs. lower in the room, that is away from any closed areas or placed in a metal cabinet, and 2) Changing radio channels. The latter is especially important in you live in an area where there are a number of competing Wi-Fi.
A good utility to find out, is iStumbler. You would use this to find these other Wi-Fi and find which have the strongest signal value. Those that do, you would also want to note which channel they are operating on, and then, change yours to one that is at least 3-5 channels away. So, for example, if you find strong ones on channels 1 & 6, change yours to 11.

It seems you have a network conflict that isn't allowing your MacBook Pro to connect to the internet. This may be caused by both computers sharing identical network settings. You may want to consider creating a new network location on your MacBook Pro to assign new network settings. The following article will instruct you on how to do that:
OS X Yosemite: Add a network location
A network location is a group of network settings
A network location is a group of network settings for your various network services (Ethernet or Wi-Fi for example).
If you often change network settings, you may find switching between locations quicker and easier than repeatedly modifying individual groups of settings.
For example, you might want to make a location for “home,” where you connect to the Internet with a telephone modem, and a location for “office,” where you connect to your company network and the Internet using Ethernet or AirPort.
Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Network.
Click the Location pop-up menu, choose Edit Locations, then click Add .
Enter a name for the location, then click Done.
Enter settings for each network connection service you want to use in that location.
After you create your locations, you can switch all of your network settings by clicking the Location pop-up menu and choosing a different location.

Yesterday I had Apple phone support, they could partly solve the problem. At least I can use my Mac again to view movies but the problem of less resolution in itunes only is still there. My brother has the same macbook, same yosemity and same itunes. It works. Obviously it has to do with other SW on the Mac. Yesterday we removed Displaylink SW (i believe that was the name of the SW?) from my Mac. Perhaps it is not yet compatible with yosemity?

I had an app that crashed after updating. I deleted it from my device, then redownloaded it and reinstalled it. So you might try that. Just if you have any data tied to it make sure you save that or you'll lose it.

Just reinstalled acrobat 9 extended pro. cannot print to attached printer. brings up window to chose printer. just won't print. actually locks up. have to bring up cntrol panel and shut down operations.

Somehow files in Acrobat were corrupted. had to have cmputer guy delete those before reinstall. reinstalled. I can create a pdf and email it but cannot print to printer. what to do.

Are you having this issue with selected pdf files or with any file that you try to print?
Are you able to print document using any other program?
What exactly happens when you click to 'Print'.
and please let me know what did you meant by "have to bring up cntrol panel and shut down operations."

MSI G3Ti200 Pro-TD128

I have just recently purchased an MSI G3Ti200 Pro-TD128 Video card and am having trouble installing the driver for it. Let me give a bit of back ground of my system and what I have tried so far. I have a MSI KT3 Ultra (MS-6380E) mainboard with 1gb 2100 DDR ram, an AMD 2000+ XP processor and I am running Windows 98 SE. I have just recently updated my Bios to the latest version (5.6) as well as downloaded and installed the latest chipset drivers for my motherboard. I have also made sure my bios AGP setting was at 4x. My problem is that when I put in the installation disk and click on the install VGA driver link it tells me that it can't find the device. I then tried to install the driver manually through the add hardware feature. It says it installed correctly but when I reboot the monitor stays black after the initial Windows screen and then it reboots itself and goes to the safe mode menu. Once I did get the driver installed and back into Windows but it was still in 16 color mode and when I attempted to set it to high color and rebooted I got a message that the display properties were incorrect for the hardware that I had. I know my AGP slot works because I put my Riva TNT 2 32mb card back in and have no problems with it.
Please help I have tried everything I know (which isn't much ) )

Good point, I missed that critical point in my first read.
There are fixes or workarounds for that.
Win98/98SE/ME can't handle more than 512 megs of memory
It's a known issue that Win ME, Win98 and Win95 cannot deal with main memory sizes in excess of 512MB.
This problem may occur more readily with AGP video adapters because the AGP aperture is also mapped to addresses in the system area
For example, if Vcache is using a maximum cache size of 800MB and an AGP video adapter has a 128MB aperture mapped, there is very little address space remaining for the other system code and data that must occupy this range of virtual addresses."
And here are the three suggested workarounds:
1. Physically remove any memory in excess of 512MB
2. Use the System Configuration utility to limit the amount of memory that Windows uses to 512MB or less.
3. Use the MaxFileCache setting in the System.ini file to reduce the maximum amount of memory that Vcache uses to 512MB (524,288 KB) or less."
And the unspoken fourth solution: upgrade to Windows 2000.
MS knowledgebase also admits that the addressing restriction has been identified as a failing in Windows. Installing Win2K obviated the problem. All 768MB ran faultlessly.

G3Ti200 Pro-TD128 Crashes System

I have been trying to get my MSI G3Ti200 Pro-TD128 to display correctly. Upon boot up, the system crashes (from time to time). When I press the reset button for a warm boot-up, WindowsME loads fine. Once the desktop appears, Windows is stuck in the basic 16-color old VGA mode. At first I thought it was a hardware conflick, so I removed all devices and cards. I even tried swapping the DIMMs with known good DIMMs (in case of bad memory). Nothing worked. I thought maybe there's a conflick between CMOS resources and WindowsME resoures, so I tried to force Windows to use the CMOS settings. That did not work either. Then I tried to force CMOS to change resourse settings to allow Windows to use the resoureces available. That did'nt work. I flashed the motherboards bios to the lasest revision and tried everthing again, that did'nt work. Then I tried using different drivers and proformed the same porcedure again.
This has lead me to believe that my old Motheboard/CPU cannot handle this display card.
Any suggestions would be very helpful.
My motherboard is a Tyan K7 (S2380) "early" AMD socket-A board. Memory is at about 640Mb, one HDD ATT66 30Gb. Chipset is a VIA Apollo KX-133 (I tried using the lasest drivers for that too). This motherboard uses a Award BIOS 2Mbit Flash RAm that supports APM & ACPI (which I also tried enabled and disabled modes). This board does not have it's own audio ports. It runs on a 200Mhz Front side bus and is using an eary 1Ghz AMD CPU (Socket-A). The DIMMs are a PNY 256Mb PC-133, there are three installed.
Other PCI cards used include a Soundblaster 5.1 Platium sound card, Soundblaster DXR3 5.1 Dolby Digital encoder (for use with a 5x DVD IDE drive), a PCI 100/baseTX network card, a Firewire adapter card, a PCI WINTV-HDD card (for displaying HD-TV on computer).
There has to be a way that I can get this display card to work. I tried a "fresh" reinstalation of WindowsME. In WindowsMe, it did not show any conflicks at all.
Could my suspicion about the motherboard be correct? Or is there something else that I could try?
When Windows asks me to adjust the display settings, I try to change it to at least 256-colors and reboot. The display goes back to 64-colors. It's almost as if the display drivers are loaded, but don't function. I am going to try older drivers for this display card to see if any of them work. So, far I have spent 3 full days trying to get this thing to work.

I already tried everthing possible, to get the display card to work. I know the card works fine in my other computer. The via chipset in this motherboard is not compatible with the display card. My older display card (3DFX 5500) works fine. I have been thinking for some time before about updating the computer for Pentium 4. This problem that I had, has made me deside to upgrade now.
I ran into this type of problem before. The only way to fix it, was to upgrade Windows or replace the motherboard. I was hoping to find an alternative. After serveral attempts and various methods, my only option left is to replace the motherboard.
There are two "hidden" system drivers installed within WindowsMe. I believe for each PCI card installed. One is called, "ACPI IRQ Holder For PCI IRQ". The other is called, "PCI IRQ Holder". Something like those anyway, I'm not sure the exact wording. ACPI helps the bios to control standby opperations within the bios. I went through both drivers, they had somthing to do with the problem. Disableing these drivers prevent the cards form working at all.
Some chipset versions work better than others. Intel and Via have several different chipsets used in the Pentium 4 class motherboards. The problem now is to deside which one to pick.
I have to research the matter.

We did that, but it just doesn't seem to be able to connect. So basically we tried to connect to our network and insert the password, but afterwards it does nothing. Weird thing is also that the network symbol (top right of the screen) says that it has been connected, but when I go look at the system preferences --> network, it states that it has not been connected

Macbook Pro cannot connect to the internet even when others can

Hi! Please help me. We have an internet WIFI connection in our office but only my MacBook Pro cannot connect even when I entered the correct password. My Iphone and Ipad work just fine. It says "connection timeout" but all other laptops can connect. I tried network diagnostics already and it always say "connection timeout". I dont know what to do anymore.

Yes, and when I open the Network Utility it shows a working IP address, and a 54Mb/s speed from the wireless router. It even shows the shared computers from my roomates. But when I try to access the internet it does not load anything on Safari or Firefox ( or any other internet application for that matter). It is completely unconnected. YET, As soon as I activate the AirPort card on the top right where I have my signal strength, it shows on the Network Utility information that there are 'packages' being sent and received, and I have NO programs open what so ever, I have closed everything except finder and network utility... Does this mean I am being hacked, or have some sort of Trojan or something in my computer? I ran an antivirus that my school provided, called Virex by McAfee, it came out clean except it says it cannot read one file.
I tried repairing my disk, and that did not work either. I did the Ram reset like you suggested, but that also did not work. I doubt it being a hardware error. I am going to try to connect it to an ethernet cable to see if that will work. Then I will let you know what happens with that, but that would still not be a solution since I need it wireless, cause the router is in another part of the house.
