G4 tower keeps shutting down... I need help!

I don't know how to tell if it is a power issue or a hard drive. Does anyone have any experience with this type of problem?

USB connection to iTunes. Back up your 3GS with your last 3GS back up. DON'T use an iPhone 4 back up or higher. It will cause exactly this.

IPhone 5 keeps shutting down and needs rebooting even when fully charged?

I am having the same issue with my iPhone 5s. I travelled to the UK and my phone started having this issue over there (i have turned the cellular data off). I restored my phone last night but when it asked me to set it up again, i chose for it to set up from the back up i had stored on my Mac. The problem is still presistent even though it is shutting down less often. I am going to restore it to the factory settings tonight and see if I keep getting the same issue I will take it to a Mac Genius. However if it works i will let you know

SInce I loaded the creative cloud software my MacBook Pro keeps shutting down. Is there a reason for this?

There is not one specific program that it shuts down in, random shut downs and I could be in an Adobe application or another program. It may be be a coincidence, but my shut downs seems to have started after I installed Adobe's Creative Cloud. Apple now has my laptop exploring what may be causing my issues. Their first reaction was that it could be some sort of software conflict. I'm waiting on their diagnosis.

Right out of the box...and it KEEPS SHUTTING DOWN!! Help!!

I received my brand new iMac this afternoon and plugged it in. It was working fine for about two hours, now all of the sudden, the thing will not stop shutting down and powering up. It is almost as if I am jiggling power source on and off, like a flicker, and I am not even touching it. I tried troubleshooting with the cosmetic ring around the power connector - no dice, the computer keeps turning on and off like it's posessed. There is plenty of slack on the power cord so it's not being pulled. I am afraid plug the system in...all that shutting down and powering up can't be good for the system. What should I do?

Welcome to the discussions!
If you have checked that the power plug is firmly seated and confirmed that it is, then the only thing to do is to call Apple or take it in.
If there is a problem with the power supply or logic board, Apple should replace the entire unit. No new Mac fresh out of the box should require repairs.

Nokia 5530 Shuts down itself - Need help

Did anyone experience this? My 5530 would shuts down itself anytime during a call.
Could be either during a received call or dialed out call.
Could be right after the call is connected, or few mins after the call is connected
I have been using it for half a year without any problem. It just started to go nuts this week.

Ok, what I would do is to update if possible : http://europe.nokia.com/support/download-software/device-software-update/can-i-update, or/and soft reset and format the memorycard.
(remember to back up anything you want, - But I would try not to backup more than contacts, messages and music and pics - as you might can take the problem with you. Likely - it's not a software issue as you said it been behaving fine for half a year.
Have you installed any apps lately right before the issues started?
If you cannot figure it out - I would take it to a Nokia care point as it might be a hardware fault.

It sounds like it could be a problem with the fan and cooling, I would suggest calling 1-800-hp invent to have it serviced.

My iPhone 4 keeps shutting down :/ lately it's taken 2hrs to come back up. Diagnostics shows panic.plist and I've had my phone barely over a year. Will Apple replace it? As I hear I need to make an appt at the apple store.

You can get a shutdown like that if the computer gets too hot. Make sure the air intakes on the bottom and the exhaust vent on the top are clean and are not blocked by something in your workspace like papers or the back of the computer being too close to part of the furniture. You need a good six inches (15cm) of clearance between the exhaust slot and other objects or surfaces.
Anti-virus/internet security software, especially the "pay for" kinds, can increase operating temps. So can third-party backup software furnished with many "name-brand" external hard drives.
Fan motors and/or temperature sensors can fail. If you have the original grey disks that shipped with your iMac, find the on that has Apple Hardware Test (AHT) and run it. If you have a failed heat sensor or fan motor, it will detect it with an error code containing "SNS" if it's a bad sensor or "MOT" if its a bad fan motor.

Programs keep shutting down when opening - please help

Hi,
My imac keeps shutting down my programs when I'm using them. For example I can change my screensaver image to images from a chosen, when I try the program shuts down, same as safari and mac the ripper. Some of my other programs do not even open for me, like pages and keynote, they just do nothing. Pleas help its getting really annoying and I've tried to find out whats the problem but nothing I do is helping.

Have you tried creating a new user account and launching the apps there? If they work under the new account, then it is possible that you have a corrupted pref file.
I had this happen on my eMac, but it was when I was a newer Mac user and didn't know much. I ended up reinstalling to OS - which corrected it - but that is a bit drastic.
Let's not do that, but try some other troubleshooting first.

Hotsync keeps shutting down, help

When I was given a new computer at work, (XP operating system w/ Outlook 2007, Tungsten E2) I downloaded the latest version of the Palm desktop program and the outlook conduits. I did the normal install. As it was installing, the Hotsync manager popped up with this message:HotSync® Manager Application has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
I tried to debug it, look at the message for a clue and it just kept closing down. After I finished the install, it just keeps shutting down every time I try to open it, hence no syncing until I get this worked out. I've uninstalled and reinstalled several times. I did the "chat" tech support at Palm and followed their instructions (to do the same thing I already tried). They finally advised me to call and speak with someone (at $14.95 for the pleasure) Does anyone know what is going on or have any different advice?

I've just solved the same problem. What someone neglected to mention is that there is also a Palm folder under My Documents. If you delete that too and then start over, your problems should be solved. I wish I'd known this before I spent hours and hours trying the steps above.
