G4 upgrade now one monitor won't power on

ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED! I'VE BEEN UP ALL NIGHT!!
I put in 2GB of RAM today along with a super combo (DVD, CDRW) drive. I tested the machine with a single monitor at work, it was fine. When I got it home and hooked it up to my dual monitors, only one monitor turns on. The other one won't do anything. Now power to it at all. I tried plugging it directly into the wall, still nothing.
I switched the cords and everything and the same monitor (the one on left) turns on, but the one on the right doesn't. Can anyone help? When I detect displays, it shows I have two monitors, but I am only getting power to one. I also reset the PRAM, still did not power up my monitor.
Is there a workaround here or should I send it back? It's under warranty and everything. GoVideo Dual 19" monitors. Has anyone dealt with sending something back to Wal-Mart? Is it fast to get the replacement?

It's in recovery mode. You don't have a choice. You have to restore the phone. Anything that was on it is already gone.
If you've been backing up/syncing on a regular basis, you won't lose anything except what's changed since the last backup.

Monitor won't power up.

The power failed at our house. After resetting the fuse, I started my Mac Pro G5 successfully but the monitor won't power up. All it does is flash it's tiny white power light in the lower right corner three times -- once short, once a bit longer, then again short.
What's going on?

Network connection reset during download of a season. Now one episode won't work.

I bought a season of Entourage and during the download the "network connection was reset." Now one of the episodes won't play right, eg. there is green stuff on the screen during the part that works and it won't even play past about 8 minutes. Is there anything I can do to have this fixed?

I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the item that is not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the item, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" link next to the item.

2311X Monitor Won't Power Up

My HP 2311X monitor will not stay powered up; It is not going to sleep (orange light), it is turning off. I've listed my observations and what I've tried below.
- Blue power button - When first plugged in, the power light on the monitor glows briefly, then slowly gets dimmer & dimmer until it is out. If I unplug, wait 30 seconds and repeat, it does the same thing.
-Green power light on rear of monitor next to power plug is lit & says lit.
-Green power light on the external power supply is lit & stays lit.
- I have tested the external power supply with a voltmeter and it is supplying the listed 12 volts (12.3 to be exact). I have no way to test the supply under load.
- I have tried a different commercial power outlet (120 Volt AC) that is known to be working and eliminated the UPS from the picture.
- I have tried the "hard reset" by disconnecting power & video cables and holding the power button in for 60 seconds as suggested in other posts.
- The PC works fine with another monitor.
- Please don't say the R word (replace) - monitor is only 15 months old. I refuse to see a nice piece of hardware fade away so quickly!

If you don't want to replace the product or I assume take it to get repaired then you'll have to do the work yourself.
If you open the monitor up you'll notice it's powered by a circuit board that looks similar to one that is in a PC. You should check the board for any lose connections, bulging capacitors, and check the soldered connections to see they are still working. It appears that the monitor is getting enough power to the monitor, but once it reaches the monitor it's not "distributing" the power. It sounds like a soldered connection within the monitor has come loose.

I just synced my iphone 3gs after downloading the safari update. Now I can't open any apps except the ones that came with the phone. I have tried rebooting, turning it off and on.
When I select the icon, it goes to the page then returns to my screensaver.
It was working well before the update and sync with my Acer netbook. Have never had any problems with itunes store or downloads.

this happened to me with my iPhone 4. I researched the problem and found this :
"The reason this happens is because every time a downloaded app is opened it checks for your itunes password for validation that you are authorized to open that app (as it may contain personal info). From time to time the iphone 'forgets' your itunes password. You can fix the missing password by syncing the iphone with itunes or downloading an app from the app store and entering your password that way.”
And to fix it, all I did was download a new app, or delete a current one, I used Facebook, and re-download it.

How to use one monitor with two Power Macs

I searched this forum and was unable to find an answer. Although I believe it's probably here.
Nevertheless, I have a Power Mac G5 and a rarely used Power Mac G3. I'd like to share the G5's VGA Accusync 120 CRT monitor with the G3. I know there is a way to switch the monitor between computers without pulling plugs in and out of the machines.
Does anyone have any specific switch I could buy to solve this issue. I don't care so much for picture quality for the G3. But I don't want to compromise picture quality for the G5.

You're looking for what's called a KVM (Keyboard, Video, Mouse) switch.
This one should do what you're looking for. I've not used it, but it does VGA switching like you want and is inexpensive.

Replaced PRAM battery, now G$ Quicksilver won't power up

I replaced the pram battery. Now my G4 Quicksilver will not power up. The light is on in front of the computer, as well as on the front of the monitor. However, pressing, pressing and holding for many seconds does nothing. No sounds--nada.
I bought an iMac, and want to use the G4 in target mode to transfer files, and then set up a wireless network. I have no clue as to where to start, since the computer is dead with its lights on.

Replaced HDD, now MacBook Pro won't power on.

Just bought a new HDD, Seagate Momentus 750Gb (link below). Installed it in my MacBook Pro, replacing the old 160Gb drive (also a Seagate Momentus, older version though) and when I tried to boot my laptop back up it won't even power on. I don't hear anything starting up, and the status light on the front doesn't turn on either. Putting the old drive back in and booting up it works perfectly fine, just like it did before swapping drives. The drive is supposed to be compatible with my laptop (MacBook Pro 3,1 Late 2007 15"). The drive is not partitioned or formatted, but this should not affect the laptop from powering up. I have no other computer to try the drive in to see if it is DOA but even if it were it again should not affect the laptop from powering up. Any advice on what could be causing the problem or something that I may have overlooked would be much appreciated.

Your options, as I see them:
1. Contact Seagate tech/warranty support and see what they have to say.
2. Get an external enclosure to try the HD in.
3. Find another MBP to try the HD in.

Did the 10.6.8 upgrade, now my mac won't boot up

I have been gone for 3 months, so there was a backlog of updates. I did them, and now my mac is having boot up issues. It does the chime, then it does the last note of the chime 3 more times. The disks are spinning, but it's not fully booting up. It kind of feels like it's running, but the moniter is not coming on. But when I do things like press the disk eject button on the keyboard, nothing happens, so I'm not sure if it's coming on or not.

I got up and running a few hours after I posted. Suspecting a display issue, I pulled out my ATI Radeon display card that I just put in a few months ago (I seem to have had nothing but problems ever since I upgraded my moniter), and put in the original card that came with my mac. Then I disconected all of the peripheals, and it came up doing the slow boot up. Seems to be working fine now.

Upgraded, now my IPAD won't restore

So my IPAD was still on IOS 4. I got on Itunes, did a back up, transferred my apps, and the upgraded to IOS 7. Afterwards when I turned on the IPAD it prompted for the Language, Country, network and then asked if I want to Set up as a new IPAD, Restore from icloud backup or Restore from Itunes backup? I choose itunes and no matter whether I choose the backup it performed right after the upgrade or the one I did first thing before upgrade it goes through motions of restore but when I disconnect and start the IPAD it prompts for the same thing... language, country, network, restore?
What am I missing here? This is the first time I have updated the IPAD.

Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings

KT3v MS6712 System Won't power up after RAM upgrade

hello this is my first posting to this forum and I hope someone might be able to help on this as I am totally stumped. I have been running my KT3V MS6712 mobo with 256MB since it was built. The manual for this mobo says it can handle up to 3GB RAM in any order or size. I have 3 DIMM slots and thought it would be more cost effective to just
purchase 1 DIMM leaving the other 2 slots free. So I decided to upgrade to 1GB and I bought a Kingston 1Gb PC2100 266MHz DIMM and installed it on my system. Now my system won't power on at all. When I press the power button on the PC, the CPU fan spins for like 1-2 seconds then stops. The system appears to be completely dead. Cos I thought the problem was down to the new RAM installation I thought better put my old 256 DIMM back, however I still get the same problem. I have tried swopping both DIMMS into different slots but still doesn't work. The system was working fine until I did the RAM upgrade. I tried resetting the CMOS by moving the jumpers around in case it was a BIOS issue, still hasn't made a difference. Dunno if its the PSU which has suddenly gone, however seems strange. There are no beeps from the system or lights flashing to indicate anything. I don't have
the D-Bracket installed either. I have also never upgraded the BIOS on this system as it has always been stable. The CPU is not overclocked. Has anyone had this problem before after a RAM upgrade? Hope I have given you enough information

Suntek is perhaps not the best of PSU makers, but a sudden collapse is not so common. You normally notice problems earlier.
I took a big beating last time I said this , but it is important that there is no power in the system when changing memory sticks.
It sounds a bit like the processor went away for holiday. Have you any data on the processor temperature? Is there any activity at all? Does the processor heat sink get warm?

Power mac g4 Model 8570 won't power on

A few months ago I installed Leopard on my g4 tower and since then I've been having power problems. I realized I pulled the wrong power cord in when I set everything back up, so I figured that waws the problem, thinking it was an issue of not drawing enough power; however, the problem has persisted. It used to be that I'd have to press the power button a couple of times for it to really take, then it was taking longer and longer to make that happen. Now it just won't power on at all. We popped the battery out for a bit, unplugged everything, and then re-assembled it but that didn't work. I keep reading about a pmu button or something, but I don't see anything like that and none of the diagrams on here match my logic board. can any one suggest what I can try? does my model even have a pmu button? I'm not that seasoned at trouble-shooting the hardware so any suggestions would be welcome.

Stereo won't power on... Bought at Circuit City years ago...

I've had a Pioneer stereo for about 4 years. I was purchased and installed at Circuit City (r.i.p). About a week ago I left my headlights on and killed my battery (not the first time, probably not the last). Everything is working fine except now my stereo won't power on. Zip, nadda, nothing. The main fuse for the stereo isn't blown, but I understand Pioneer stereos have another fuse on the back of the unit itself?! I can't take a look because the tech at Circuit City installed this thing so tight that you'd need a blowtorch and a sledge hammer to get it out. Seriously, my car has been broken into about 5 times and no one can manage to heist it. It's covered in dents and such from the failed attempts to get it out. I had gotten a full warranty for service/removal/etc. when I bought it, which basically means nothing anymore, right? Can Best Buy help me out here at all or am I S.O.L since Circuit City no longer exists? HELP.

Wow...sounds like that deck wasn't exactly made for your car, but nonetheless, it is installed. For life! Yes, we most certainly can help out with this. Just stop in at your nearby Best Buy and talk to the Install Bay techs. They will have a better idea of what's wrong and how to fix it. Let's hope it doesn't involved a sledge hammer and blow torch!
