G460 Suddenly Shut OFF when forwarding video or doing some tasks

Hy, I have problem with my Lenovo G460.
When I played video, any kind of video, it's just running normal.
But, when I forward it just a little bit, it shut off without warning or anything.
I've tried to open the bottom cover and try running it.
The VGA fan seems OK to me, it run like usual.
I Don't know what happen.
My only clue is that, the charger has 4 kind of sound.
1. When plug in to the electricity,
2. When plug in to the electricity and plugged into the Laptop,
3, When plug in to the electricity and plugged into the Laptop when the laptop is ON,
4. The sound that coming after it suddenly shut OFF.
Is it the charger, or the laptop charge core???

hi,
can you check if there's any mini dump file in folder c:/windows/minidump. if there's any, please, copy it to desktop, upload it somewhere (rapidshare.com) and post the link back.

  • Phone shutting off when not using and does not start back up by itself

I bought the LG Revolution phone 2 1/2 weeks ago and since then twice when I have not been using it, it shuts off by itself and does not power back up until I realize it is off and then I hold down the power key to restart it. It also turns off in the middle of using an app but then restarts itself. Is this a known glitch or is something wrong with this particular phone? Since I am after the 2 week mark, can I exchange it? Or am I out $200 for an issue that isn't my fault?

tiggerpolo81, I know your phone shutting off and on is very frustrating. I will attempt to assist you with some suggestions to resolve this issue. I researched this issue and found that some customers have reported this as an issue and we have also reported it to our device team. We will attempt to address the issue with any future updates for this phone. In the mean time, I recommend checking to see if a third party app is causing the issue.
Safe Mode temporarily disables all applications that have been installed via the Android Market. Performing this step is necessary to determine whether a 3rd party application is the cause of an Operating System / Application issue.
    Enable Safe Mode
With the device powered down, press and hold the power button (upper-right corner).
When the LG Logo screen appears, press and hold the volume down key.
Release the volume down key when Safe mode is displayed at the lower-left.
This may take up to 30 seconds.
    Disable Safe Mode
Press and hold the Power button (upper-right corner).
    Select Restart.
Additionally , if the issue continues we can review your account and device for warranty replacement options. If the phone is within its one-year manufacturers warranty and have no physical or water damage, it can be replaced with the same model.

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try another cable
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • Audio suddenly drop off when Airplaying video into Apple TV

I´m trying to stream the content from my MacBook Air into my TV via my Apple TV using Airplay. Both audio and video work fine the first seconds on the TV then, suddenly, the sound drops off.
All the sw is updated, the problem began after the latest Apple TV update.
Does anybody have any ideas on how to solve this ?? (The solutions exposed in other threads doesn´t solve my problem)
    Thank you in advance

+I figure the wireless transfer between the Mac mini and the Apple TV would be the limiting factor, but felt it prudent to at least check if the Firewire connection would have an effect.+
+If not, then I plan on picking up a cheap, used older model Mac mini with the 400 Firewire port to save some cash.+
No doubt the wireless transfer is the weakest link in the chain. Firewire 800 is substantially faster than 400, so you would gain some future-proofing by going with it. And the 2009 Minis come with Wifi-N, while the older models come with G/B.
A used Mini will usually lack the Apple warranty.
Minis are so handy that you have to ask yourself, why is someone getting rid of it? My somewhat cynical answer is that many Minis being sold on the used market are being gotten rid of because of some lurking problem issue that the owner hasn't been able to resolve.
If you must buy an older model, consider an Apple refurbished Mini, which comes with full warranty and current software.

  • My Imac shuts off when watching videos, and also when trying to edit videos.  The fan(s) turn on, then a short time later it just shuts off.

I have the latest OS update from Apple that I had to buy - 10.8.2.
The fans come on, then the machine shuts down.  I have 4GB RAM, it can go up to 8GB.  I was editing GoPro videos when it started, now it seems to happen all the time, even when watching a Youtube video in a small window.  It doesn't happen when just using e-mail or visiting forums.
This was happening before the upgrade as well; I got the upgrade so I could iCloud with my wife's iPad.
Do I need a new fan?  More RAM?
There is a install sheet for the RAM, but how do I check if the fan(s) are OK?  I hear it/them blowing even as I type this.
    TIA!
    Mike

The volume on my iPhone is working intermittently (keypad tones, ringer, etc...). There seems to be no rhyme or reason or common denominator to when or why it suddenly shuts off. Any advice?

The problem is pin corrosion on pin number 21. It is ver simple to clean out. Google "where is pin 21 on apple dock connector." Then get a pin or dull needle and gently pull it over pin number 21.  You won't see the corrosion on the pin or even see it come off, but it works.

  • Computer shuts off when unplugged, resets internal clock

I have been having an issue lately with my mid 2009 MBP 13in where occasionally if the magsafe adapter is removed from the notebook, it will suddenly shut off.  After about a minute, I am able to start it up again and it will be on battery power until I reset the SMC.  When it does load up OSX, the internal clock is reset to some date in 2001 and I have to manually change it back to the present for everything to play nice again.  It's been pretty annoying at times and I have no idea what would cause the computer to act up so sporadically.  I can't recreate the problem on command, it just happens when I least expect it.  The battery is fine as Coconutbattery shows a life of about 89% still.  Does anyone have any idea what and why this occurs?

Remove the battery and inspect for any abnormalities. Check the contacts on both the battery and the computer. Also check your battery status under Apple Menu> About This Mac. Click on More Info and then the System Profiler will come up. In the left hand column select Power and see what your battery status is there compared to what Coconut battery said.

  • Keyboard lights suddenly shut off

I'm a noob with an early 2011 MBP 13" i7 running Lion and I've noticed that the keyboard backlight has started to suddenly shut off randomly.
It's only happened a couple times and the last time it did I actually could turn it back on by pressing the correct button, but the time before that I had to restart the thing.
Am I crazy or is my mac posessed?

    Hello Dave the Revelator!
Have you checked in the System Preferences > Keyboard > Keyboard "automatically illuminate keyboard in low light"? If yes, it is normal. When the light sensor is receiving bright light, the keyboard lightening is switched off.

  • MBP Shuts off when there is slight movement

    Hi,
Today my MBP started acting weird. I've never had this problem before. If I tap it, or move the lid it randomly shuts off. I'm afraid to type to hard b/c I feel like it will just shut off with any slight movement. I've reset the SMC and done a bunch of other troubleshooting.
Is this a software issue or hardware?
I feel as if there is a sensor loose inside my mbp which is causing it to suddenly shut off.

    Bound to be hardware, Rudy.
Does it occur both when running from battery and from the mains?
Is it definitely shutting right down rather than falling into an unwakeable 'sleep"? (If it is shutting right down then a single press of the power button is all that is needed to restart, rather than holding the button down for a few secs and then pressing it again.)
    What model is it?
    Cheers
    Rod

  • After I upgrade maverick my display will suddenly shut off but my sounds is still working. Need help

After I upgrade maverick my display will suddenly shut off but my sounds is still working. Need help on this? Thank you

    Hello rodamitjr,
It sounds like your iMac display will turn off unexpectedly, but you can tell the computer is still on because you hear audio.
I found an article with steps to troubleshoot issues with displays.  This article is for internal and external displays, so you can skip any steps referring to an external display.  I recommend reviewing the full article, but this step specifically stands out to me for the issue you described:
    Reset the system
You can reset the Mac's parameter RAM and SMC.
You can find the full article here:

Thank you for posting in the Apple Support Communities.

What you should do next depends on the circumstances. For example:
If you installed the keylogger yourself and then forgot about it, remove it according to the developer's instructions. If you want to keep it, check for an update or refer to the developer for support.
If you're under 18 years old, and the keylogger was installed by a parent or guardian, talk it over within the family.
If you're an adult, and the keylogger was installed on your personal computer without your permission, then the computer may be evidence of a crime or a civil wrong. Consider the legal implications before you do anything. Assume that everything you've done with the computer is known to the party who installed the keylogger.
If the computer was issued to you by a school or employer, then you should check with the IT staff that the keylogger is authorized. Don't use the machine for personal business. If the keylogger interferes with your work, the IT staff will have to solve the problem.
In the event that the computer was tampered with by an unknown party, and you just want to clean it up, see below.
The only way you can be sure that the computer is not compromised is to erase at least the startup volume and restore it to something like the status quo ante. The easiest approach is to recover the entire system from a backup that predates the attack. Obviously, that's only practical if you know when the attack took place, and it was recent, and you have such a backup. You will lose all changes to data, such as email, that were made after the time of the snapshot. Some of those changes can be restored from a later backup.
If you don't know when the attack happened, or if it was too long ago for a complete rollback to be feasible, then you should erase and install OS X. If you don't already have at least two complete, independent backups of all data, then you must make them first. One backup is not enough to be safe.
When you restart after the installation, you'll be prompted to go through the initial setup process for a new computer. That’s when you transfer the data from a backup in Setup Assistant.
Select only users in the Setup Assistant dialog—not Applications, Other files and folders, or Computer & Network Settings. Don't transfer the Guest account, if it was enabled.
Reinstall third-party software from original media or fresh downloads—not from a backup, which may be contaminated.
Unless you were the target of an improbably sophisticated attack, this procedure will leave you with a clean system. If you have reason to think that you were the target of a sophisticated attack, then you need expert help.
That being done, change all Internet passwords and check all financial accounts for unauthorized transactions. Do this  after the system has been secured, not before.

  • Suddenly shuts off, turns on (completely reboots)

    Hi,
I have a Macbook Pro (15-inch, early 2011).  My computer suddenly shuts off (fully charged, plugged in, no warnings of low battery or anything).  When I turn it back on, it reboots completely (as opposed to restoring my session like it usually does if the battery dies) and says the battery is at 0%.  This has happened a few times now.  Does anybody know what it is or how to fix it?  Thanks in advance!

  • Re-occuring shut off when scrolling even after firmware upgr

    Hello all,
I have a Muvo Tx FM and have had it since May. In June, it started shutting off when I used to scroll bar. I came to the forum and the suggestion was to reinstall the firmware. So I dl'ed it from this site and reinstalled it. The player worked fine and I was estatic.
Fast-forward to August and its doing it again.
Does anyone know why this happens?
Is there a more permanent solution to the issue?
How long is the warranty on these players (typically)?
I will try to upgrade the Firmware, but somehow I doubt this is going to help.
    -Thanks,
    TG.

Some people have linked it with happening when removing the player from the PC, without ensuring it's "safely removed".
Failing that, can you pinpoint any event that causes it to happen?
Warranty varies depending where you bought it. It's 3 months in the USA (I'm not sure if the MuVo is covered with a further 9 months parts only warranty, I know some of the Zen players are). In Europe the warranty is at least year.

  • Why iMac shuts off when in sleep mode? Using latest System (Yosemite)

Can anyone tell me why my iMac 27", running on the latest system (Yosemite), all of a sudden started shutting off when put in the sleep mode?

    Try resetting the SMC.
Additionally, look at the log files around the time the system shut down.
You might also take it in for testing/diagnosis.
