G4ti4200-vtd64 no advanced settings tabs

Hi, I recently bought a g4ti4200-vtd64 for my abit k7v133a mb (xp1700+) running xp pro using msi 31.00 drivers. I don't see anything in the book about it but i am not getting any tabs having to do with the vcard in my Display properties>settings>advanced. I am not getting any of nvidia video tabs other than the standard tabs like whats shown on page 3-13 of the manual. I do get the Msi information and the Msi clock tabs in the properties menu.
I need help.

Have you tried the nVidia Detonator reference drivers from nVidia's website? Try 41.09 and see what happens. Personally I tend to stay away from MSI's VGA drivers.

How can I set defaults in the TestStand's step settings Labview Advanced Settings tab to run a VI on a remote PC?

I am accessing a VI many times which is run on a remote PC.
When I click Step Settings, click on the Module tab, then click on the Labview Advanced Settings, there is are options for running a VI on a remote PC.
An annoyance is having to enter the remote host, remote VI path, port number and timeout settings every time I created a step to call the VI in the tests. These are a constant, or at least the rule by far rather than the exception. The TestStand step settings default is the VI does not run on a remote PC (unticked) and there are of course no IP addresses etc as defaults. So if I make a minor change to the tests such as the remote VI location, I have to manually change it is every occurrence of the VI being called. This is very time consuming and is prone to human error.
Is there a way I can preset these settings so that every time I call a Labview module, these defaults are invoked without me having to set them every time?
I guess a workaround is to have the VI run in a subsequence, so that the settings are made just once, but I would prefer not to have to do that.

Hi,
What you can do if you are using TS4.x is create your first step, then add it to the Template List. Then use the step from the template list when you require similar steps. See User Manual Chapter 3-6.

IE6 Advanced settings tab

Is there a way to change the GPO settings for IE 6 w2k advanced
settings? I want to change an option in the advanced tab in the
internet options. Either that, or I'll have to figure out the reg
entries to change.

I manually deleted certificates under the"Advanced settings" tab in preferences. Can I restore? Now I keep getting messages re "Invalid Certicate. I can "View" but not "Add".

If you used Sync to do that "import", disable Sync for at least one of those Profiles.

Thank you for your suggestion. I have Sync enabled for all the profiles. To my surprise, however, Sync was of no use in getting Default's extension collection into Shopping. For that I had to resort to the article http://kb.mozillazine.org/Transferring_data_to_a_new_profile_-_Firefox.
I will try disabling Sync on Shopping.

Yah, except with the new NSA revelations I want to set and/or verify my levels of encryption as I have in the past. Removing all encryption information leaves us all hanging. SSL 3.0 and TSL 1.0 should be on for everyone while SSL 2.0 needs to be off forever. Is this the case? How would I know?

You can lock the corresponding prefs, then users won't be able to change the settings.

I’m sorry to hear that the issue persists even after performing the “System Restore” in the computer; the only available option is to perform OSRI (Operating System Re-Install) which will confirm if the issue is Hardware related. To perform OSRI click on OKR (One Key Recovery) button in the computer, below is the link to download the User Guide for the steps to perform OSRI and refer page no. 2 to locate the OKR button and page no. 25 for the steps to perform OKR.

G4Ti4200-VTD64 voltage incompatibility with MSI K7N2 Delta-ILSR??

I have the MSI G4Ti4200-VTD64 (4X) video card.. I want to upgrade my motherboard to K7N2 Delta-ILSR. Is there any voltage incompatibility?? I heard that new mother boards will support only AGP 1.5V. Is the AGP voltage of K7N2 Delta-ILSR 1.5volts?? Is my video card compatible with this voltage?? I really want to retain my current video card as I am quite satisfied with it and I'm not willing to invest on a new one at the moment. If there is an incompatibility could you suggest another Socket A MB with good performance and SATA RAID support.

Flash Player 9 crashes my browser when I open advance settings

Hi, I'm using the newest version of Flash (9,0,115,0) and
when I try to access the advanced settings and click the webcam
tab, both my browsers crash (IE and Firefox2).
The screen I am talking about is:

I can click on any other parts of the tab, but it only
crashes when I click on the webcam icon. This is weird, because the
mic tab recognizes my webcam (Microsoft LifeCam VX-3000).

It woul also be interesting to see what happens if you
uninstall your cam and it's drivers and retest..
Another thing you can do (if you're the admin on the machine)
is create a new user profile.. Log in as that user, install the
browser of your choice and your cam drivers and test with just that
user profile.
If you can do those test please provide that information to
the agent who handles the web case.

Advanced Settings of Apple ProRes Codec Interlace Checkbox

When exporting a Quicktime movie with ProRes HQ codec, how crucial is the checkbox in the Advanced Setting Tab labeled interlaced?
I have been told it is simply metadata while others have told me its crucial to the interlacing of a file. I just need some clarification. Thanks

If you are working in a 1080i sequence and need to export a 1080i movie do not use Custom Settings, it will send it through an unnecessary conversion.
Only use Custom Settings if you need to convert to a different compression codec or image size, and if that's the case, I'd still export with current settings and convert using Compressor.
But to answer your original question, the interlaced box must be checked to maintain interlacing. For exporting to HD video, Interlacing should be set to Top Field First. If it is not checked it will de-interlace (and poorly, outside Compressor) your exported video.

5800 does not save WLAN 'Advanced Settings', a bug...

My E90 and 5800 both were working just fine day before but now they only connect to my router and give an error "No gateway reply". I read some discussions and fixed my E90 by specifying 'advanced settings' of my WLAN in 'access points' but when I try to do the same with my 5800 and exit the 'destinations' tab, the settings revert back to 'automatic' due to which I cannot use my internet. I have updated to v.20 and still the bug exists. what should I do?

thanx for your support. I managed to fix it in a roundabout fashion.
1. Entered settings in 'advanced settings' of WLAN and got back to list of access points (didnt exit 'Destinations')
2. Opened 'Web' from Main Menu
3. Connected through the same WLAN and opened a webpage (which worked)
4. Minimized 'Web' and exited 'Destinations'
as the WLAN was connected and settings were already in use, exiting 'Destinations' could not revert them back and were saved as it is.

WRVS4400N IPSec VPN Advanced Settings Found

v1.00.16 - O.K. This is weird. I have had no luck with getting the Advanced Settings Button to do anything until now. I simply got lucky. The Advanced Settings Button works only when accessing the router menus using https locally on the LAN. Basically, https://192.168.1.1 Then find the IPS VPN Tab and press the Advanced Settings Button and wala there it is. When accessing the router using http://192.168.1.1, the button does nothing. Weird to say the least. Even with this, all of the certificate management buttons and menus are still missing. Did anyone find the certificate management menus and buttons in an earlier firmware version than v1.00.16?
I dug a little further and found that the CGI under the http portion of the program simply does not call the advanced web page. To get around this, simply type in: http://192.168.1.1/vpn_adv.htm
the vpn_adv.htm file is the web page that is hidden by the CGI.
If anyone can find any of the certificate manage web pages, I bet they are on the WRVS4400N as well ... only missing from the top menus / CGI. If you find one, please send it to me.

I have this installed at a client site but refuse to mess with it as I finally got it working OK. it's still on firmware 1.00.15 I noticed .16 came out just about a week ago and I don't have a "spare" 4400N to test that on so I am leavign it all alone for now.
I do have some issues...mostly the VPN stuff, but like I said, I finally got it working so I'm not touching it.
Time to order another one and setup a dev environment......

My firefox updates everyday even though I have unchecked all of the update boxes in the options/advanced/updates tab.

When it updates, it changes my home page, privacy settings, and it checks all of the updates that I had previuosly unchecked. So I change all of the settings back. Then the next day, when I bring up firefox, I get the familiar update page, and all of my setting are changed again. Note: Once I change my settings back, they are good all day - until the next day when I turn on the PC. Help!!!

Either Firefox is crashing every time you close it (seems unlikely) or your setting is being overridden. The most common way it gets overridden is if external software creates or edits an optional settings file named user.js. i need change advanced settings in BIOS, like turn off SMART, because i need restarting computer
many many times in hour and i cant always pushing F1 to ignore SMART warning.

If you are getting a HDD SMART error, then the PC is saying the HDD is on death row and you need to replace it. It is not safe to your data to continue using the HDD while in this state - it could potentially fail and your data would be thrown into the void.
