G5 2.5 to 2.0 conversion to remove liquid cooling system

I've had a g5 2.5 with liquid cooling working well for a while now, but now doesn't boot into OSX. So I found the problem being a blockage in the LCS. While taking a part the death cooling unit I accidentally broke one of the cooling blocks and I've already tried everything from high end epoxy to jb weld to fix it with no luck. Looked into replacing it with another comp or parts and it just seems to expensive to replace just for one cooling block. So hear is my question, is it possible to replace the 2.5 g5 with a 2.0? I have the dual 2.5 from 2004 and wondered if the logic board is able to work with the 2.0 from 2004? I like the 2.0 g5 because it has no LCS, just heatsinks or could I use the heatsinks from the 2.0 on a 2.5? I really love my g5 and don't want to scrap it just yet.

Hello,
Sorry to hear this, but did you try Amazon or eBay yet? You should look into it. You might be able to find someone with a busted leaking cooling system, but the block is still good. =) Wish you luck.
Regards.

  • Conversion Routines in the BI System

    Dear Colleagues,
    Conversion Routines in the BI System :
    I created my own conversion exit "CONVERSION_EXIT_JEUID_OUTPUT" . This is to convert an internal Format into a readable output format in my reports. This I intend to use for an existing infoobject "ZJEUID".
    (1) In the InfoObject --> General Tab . I do not see my routine in the drop down "Cenvers Rout.".
    Is there some step I am missing ?
    (2) For conversion exit of type (OUTPUT) I would assume that no data reloading is required. Also I would not need to reactivation existing cubes except for the Infoobject. Is my assumption correct ?
    Thanks for you help!

  • Pdf conversion from a non unicode system to a unicode system

    Hi,
    I have a BSP application that runs on a unicode system which retrieves data to be output in pdf from a non unicode sap system.
    We get the data from the non unicode system through a RFC call and store data in table otfdata type itcoo, then we perform the conversion through the following:
    perform pdfcnv_convertotf in program saplstxw
    tables otfdata
    pdf
    using
    'T'
    archive_index
    1
    'T'
    pdf_bytecount
    app_tot_xstring
    and then perform the hex conversion, but the printout is full of # chars. The good characters are followed by the # char. It looks like the unicode conversion is not good.
    Thank you in advance for your help.

  • INDESIGN CS6 : wrong spot to process conversion using L*A*B system

    The separation process of spot colors (PMS) using the L*A*B values is completely out of range with my ripping system (polkadots). Previously with CS5 and the CMYK process, PMS 300 was broke with C100 M56 Y00 K00 values.
    In the new CS6, the same Pantone is broken with C100 M65 Y28 K00 values, which is completely out of the range. I encountered the same error on a very big job, which cost me 1 ton of paper…
    I tried to force the CMYK separation in the INK MANAGER menu, but it doesn't work properly.
    Is there another way to fix it ? Is there any chance to go back and use a good, reliable, CMYK separation system with CS6 ?

    Now maybe we should talk about your color management. In theory the LAB mixes should be working better than book values, IF you have the correct color profiles in place for your equipment.
    Are you sure about the 28% yellow—I don't see that much yellow with any document CMYK profile.
    The  conversion from the Lab values depends on your document's CMYK profile and the Color Setting's Conversion Options. Europe ISO with Relative Colormetric and Black Point Compensation turned on returns 100|58|0|0, while US SWOP Perceptual with Black Point off returns 100|65|13|1. So as Peter mentions you have to have the correct profile in place for Lab conversions to work.
    I'm working with ISO coated V2 profiles, based on FOGRA, modified ISO 12647-2, specific profiles for printers, designed to limit inkage up to 300%. My RIP is working with the document profile, but has no device link installed.
    Thanks anyway for your help, that's fine, works good !!!

  • Conversion error removes entered values in the form

    I have like 10 blocks of data in my jsf page. In my 7th block my date field gives a conversion error, then some of the fields entered above 7th block are removed and some of them after 7th block.
    why this happens??

    Hi John,
    Once I click the save button in the form, it is going to disable mode in that form only. When I open another form I able to use the save button. If I open the previous form, I am able to see the save button again. When I click the save button at that time only it is going to disable mode. This is happening for all forms.
    And there is no folder like services in the given path \Hyperion\logs\services\HyS9Planning-sysout.log.
    I rebooted the server, even the problem was not fixed.

  • Conversion of channels to different systems of measurements

    How do convert from one system to another and not create false precision (http://wikipedia.org/wiki/False_precision) of the data? For example, if we look at the Yahoo Weather API (http://developer.yahoo.com/weather/documentation.html) which is used for the Yahoo Weather Binding (http://github.com/eclipse/smarthome/tree/master/extensions/binding/org.eclipse.smarthome.binding.yahooweather) reports values in US or Metric units.
    For example, if you query the Yahoo weather api for Las Angeles, CA in US units (http://weather.yahooapis.com/forecastrss?w=2442047), It returned:
    Temperature: 71 F
    Pressure: 29.94 in
    And, if you query the Yahoo weather api for Las Angeles, CA in Metric units (http://weather.yahooapis.com/forecastrss?w=2442047&u=c), it returned:
    Temperature: 22 C
    Pressure: 1013.6 millibar
    The Smart Home Yahoo weather binding is making queries using metric units. So we'll use that as the base for conversions. To convert from C to F the formula is: C x 9/5 + 32 = F. which in the above example is:
    22 x 9/5 + 32 = F
    71.6 = F
    And to convert from F back C the formula is (F - 32) x 5/9 = C
    (71.6 - 32) x 5/9 = C
    22 = C
    But if we didn't keep the .6 around (like Yahoo does), we'd have the following:
    (71 - 32) x 5/9 = C
    21.66666666666... = C
    In this case, we'd want to scale the number to something reasonable to not give the indication of false precision to downstream consumers of the channel. At some point you need to decide how many digits are significant in the result and round appropriately. The scientific community solves this problem using the Significant Figures rules (http://wikipedia.org/wiki/Significant_figures), and the arithmetic section (http://wikipedia.org/wiki/Significant_figures#Arithmetic) applies to what should be done. It has the following:
    Quote:
    A common guide often used when performing calculations by hand is as follows.
    For multiplication and division, the result should have as many significant figures as the measured number with the smallest number of significant figures.
    For addition and subtraction, the result should have as many decimal places as the measured number with the smallest number of decimal places (for example, 100.0 + 1.111 = 101.1).
    In a base 10 logarithm of a normalized number, the result should be rounded to the number of significant figures in the normalized number. For example, log10(3.000×104) = log10(104) + log10(3.000) ≈ 4 + 0.47712125472, should be rounded to 4.4771.
    When taking antilogarithms, the resulting number should have as many significant figures as the mantissa in the logarithm.
    When performing a calculation, do not follow these guidelines for intermediate results; keep as many digits as is practical (at least 1 more than implied by the precision of the final result) until the end of calculation to avoid cumulative rounding errors.
    Since the value is consumed downstream, this implies that we should keep around 1 digit of precision since the original number (71) had 0 digit of precision. This would give the scaled value of 21.7C. Now if we were to convert back from C to F:
    21.7 x 9/5 + 32 = F
    71.06 = F
    And since this is no longer a intermediate value, and since this is not an intermediate value, the resulting value would be 71F, which matches the starting value of 71F.
    BTW, the first example also followed the significant figures, but the math didn't need to be scaled due to the order of the calculation.
    To take this one step further, the calculation from mbar to inHg is mbar x 0.02952998751 = inHg:
    1013.6 x 0.02952998751
    29.9315953401 = inHg
    And scaled the value is 29.93, but in this case the multiplier is so small, you'd probably want to keep 2 digits of precision (29.932). The calculation from inHg to mbar is inHg x 33.8638815 = mbar:
    29.93 x 33.8638815 = mbar
    1013.54597329 = mbar
    1013.54 mbar (scaled)
    29.932 x 33.8638815 = mbar
    1013.61370106 = mbar
    1013.614 mbar (scaled)
    Adding a second digit of precision in this case produce a result that was closer to the starting value, If this approach is used, there will need to be some sort of thought put into how much additional precision is needed for each calculation. In some cases one digit will be enough, but other cases might require more. This would be dependent on the multiplier or other variables used in the calculation.

    Yahoo!'s weather API is obviously rounding off more precision than their underlying weather stations can provide, probably because it's easier to read fewer digits (i.e., the output is already formatted for display), and perhaps they assume the consumers of the data are not attempting to perform further calculations across sets of data that depend on all available accuracy. I'm sure the weather stations' sensors are reporting more precisely than whole Celsius degrees, for example, but the Yahoo! Weather API isn't providing it. I can imagine the Yahoo! Weather API reports current values for the purpose of easily reading current conditions.
    If, on the other hand, you were the operator of your own weather station and wanted to perform calculations across sets of historical measurements from your sensors, you would most likely want to store exactly as much precision as the equipment provided. The unit system used to present the data would only be relevant at the time the data was presented for display, and would not be a justification to erode the accuracy of the reported values by rounding during unit conversion. In other words, rounding is a good way to present final values so they are easy to read, but is a bad idea if you are going to store values that may be used in further calculations where you want to preserve as much accuracy as was available when the samples were first collected.
    openHAB lets users format decimal values so they are easy to read using format strings like %.1f, so there can be no confusion about false precision.
    ...adding:
    I know there has been work in OH2 to handle the unit systems used for item states, so ideally binding authors could be freed from having to convert unit systems, and unit conversions could potentially be performed in the presentation layer without bindings having to worry about it. So whatever units were reported to the binding could be passed along without conversion.

  • Conversion from SAP R/3 system to web dynpro abap.

    hi,
        Can anybody provide me with information on what all objects can be converted from an SAP R/3 system to a web dynpro ABAP application, nd hw??.

    Hi Girish,
    I don't understand your question completely. Is your question related to the Internet Transaction Server? If it is a Web Dynpro question, I can move this thread to the Web Dynpro forum. What do you think?

  • LONG_RAW conversion (using OLE) to file system then import into BLOB column

    To whom it may concern (I will call "hero" or "savior" if you can solve this for me),
    I posted this message an another thread; but then later thought it would be better in its own thread.
    I was wondering how to extract the Adobe Acrobat Reader files (PDF) from OLE component stored in a LONG_RAW database column. I was able to successfully extract the MS-Word, MS-Excel, MS-Powerpoint, and MS-Project to the operating system. I was not able to extract the Adobe PDF files. The PDF files do not return an error message nor do they write out to the file system?
    Leonid previous posted some suggestions on how to convert the data. Can anyone expand on tasks #4 and #5 (see below)?
    You can use this library to do the following task:
    1. Get the type of an object stored inside OLE Item. Get information about the OLE server.
    GetCLSID, GetProgID, IsIDispatchSupported
    2. Get information about the object
    IsLinked, GetSourceDisplayName
    3. Get information from the object in formats supported by its IDataObject interface.
    EnumFormatEtc, RegClipFormat, GetData
    I suppose it's the best way to extract pictures!
    4. Save the object into an external file throu IPersistFile interface. It works only if IPersistFile::Save method is implemented by the OLE server. Unfortunately, some OLE servers don't support this method even don't return a correct error code.
    SaveToFile
    Works with: MS Word, MS Excel
    Not works with: Adobe Acrobat (I'm not sure. Maybe I've done something wrong), MS Photo Editor
    5. Extract the 'Contents' stream from a structured storage /a compound document/.
    ExtractToFile
    It isn't a documented way, but it can be used to extract PDF files.
    I have tried the following two scenarios for the PDF extraction:
    -- First Attempt
    ret:=OLEXTRA.SaveToFile( application, v_FILENAME_WO_EXT || '.pdf' );
    if ret <> 0 then
    show_message( 'SaveToFile Error code='||ret );
    end if;
    -- application does not return an error message
    -- application does not save the PDF file to the operating system.
    -- Second Attempt
    ret:=OLEXTRA.ExtractToFile( application, 'stg.pdf', 'fname.pdf' );
    if ret <> 0 then
    show_message( 'ExtractToFile Error code='||ret );
    end if;
    -- application does not return an error message.
    -- application does not save fname.pdf to the operating system
    -- application saves the stg.pdf to file system, but cannot open in Adobe
    Thanks in advance for the help,
    Mike

    There is no way from PL/SQL in Forms - you'll have to call out to C or Java Code to do it.
    You can link in Pro*C or OCI code into forms as a user exit in which case it can share the forms connection but that's not for the faint hearted.
    Using Java - called from the Java Importer feature in 6i+ you'll end up creating a separate connection.
    Frankly if you can do it in a generic enough way through a VB executable stick with that.
    Forms can get images in an out of a long raw using read_image_file and write_image_file but that does not extend to any binary file - just images.

  • Content Conversion in receiver channel

    Hi all,
    I have a proxy to FTP scenario with no mapping involved.Over proxy communication PI is receiving the data, I am creating the CSV file using content conversion in receiver channel and placing the file at FTP.
    The file name is coming in one of the field of the input xml,I am using variable substitution and setting the file name from that particular field value.But as I don't want that node and file name element in my output file content, please guide me what parameters can I set in my content conversion to remove the FileNode from o/p csv file.
    The sample input xml is
    <MT>
    <Record>
    <Field1>1</Filed1>
    <Field2>2</Filed2>
    </Record>
    <Record>
    <Field1>3</Filed1>
    <Field2>4</Filed2>
    </Record>
    <FileNode>
    <FileName>InutFile</FileName>
    </FileNode>
    </MT>
    I want output xml to be like
    1,2
    3,4
    I have followed this blog /people/sravya.talanki2/blog/2005/08/11/solution-to-the-problem-encountered-using-variable-substitution-with-xi-sp12 to cut the FileNode, but it gives an error in cc parameters.
    In my actual i/p payload,the Record is 0..unbounded and there are 50 sub elements inside Record element.
    Please provide your inputs.
    Thanks,
    Ruchi

    Hi Ruchi,
    Change your structure like this.
    MT>
    <Record>
    <Field1>1</Filed1>
    <Field2>2</Filed2>
    </Record>
    <Record>
    <Field1>3</Filed1>
    <Field2>4</Filed2>
    </Record>
    <FileNode>
    <FileName>InutFile</FileName>
    </FileNode>
    </MT>
    Dont put the filenode under Record.
    Also Add the below parameters.
    FileNode.fieldSeparator     '0'
    FileNode.endSeparator     '0'
    FileNode.fieldFixedLengths     0
    FileNode.fixedLengthTooShortHandling     Cut
    FileNode.fieldNames     FileName
    Now use the same parameter mentioned in the blog .Your problem will be resolved.

  • Foreign Currency Valuation Values Conversion

    Hello SAP Experts!
    We are migrating from 4.6B to 4.7 and we are working in the vendor, customer and G/L accounts open items conversion.
    In the present system (4.6B) the users use transaction F.05 for foreign
    currency valuation with the flag "Bal. sheet preparation valuatn" activated. This means, that the valuation difference is not reversed
    but it is stores in the field BSEG-BDIFF of the affected open item.
    Now we are trying to convert those foreign currency open items with a
    batch input to transaction FB01. However, the fields BSEG-BDIFF do not appear in the dynpros and we could not find a way to make them optional to enter the value of previous revaluations.
    We have thought of transaction F-05, but there is no way there to reference the revaluation that is being posted to the affected open item. T
    If we do not enter this amount in that field we will have problems
    after the go live to pay those items, as the "Bal. sheet adj. 1"
    account balance will never be zero and the gain/loss accounts for exchange rate difference will be duplicated.
    Do anyone know how can this be done?
    Hope you can help me on this one.
    Many thanks in advance.
    Regards!
    Noelia

    Hi Dominic!!
    Thanks a lot for your answer. Yes, they are separate systems
    Let me see if I understand your suggestion:
    1) I should do a manual posting through F-05 in our 4.6B system bringing the balance adjustment account and the exchange rate difference account to zero.
    2) Transfer the balances to 4.7.
    3) In the first closing period run the automatic foreign currency valuation
    (through F-05) with the flag "Bal. sheet preparation valuatn" deactivated so that the system revaluates the open items from the time the open item is created to that moment.
    is it like that?
    Many thanks for your help again!
    Best regards,
    Noelia

  • LRAW data Conversion during Unicode Conversion

    Hi,
    We have upgraded our 46C MDMP system to Unicode system.
    After conversion we found that some of the tables with field of LRAW type are having conversion issue.
    In 46C system, Russian data which enetered in the MS Cyrillic (Code page 1504), is converted to code page 1500 after unicode conversion.
    We have not found any entries for this table in vocabulary, reprocess log or in SUMG.
    For example table STXL. This table contains Purchase order text for the material.
    Report HRUU_CONVERT_IN_UNICODE does not shows LRAW data field for conversion.
    Can you suggest how LRAW data can be converted from 1500 to 1504 code page.
    Thanks and Regards
    Rahul

    Hi Rahul,
    STXL is a language dependent INDX type table. Hence SPUMG will not scan this one with the default settings.
    Please have a look at the description of INDX type table handling in the Unicode conversion Guide.
    In the Unicode system, you can use UMG_ADJUST_STXL for the conversion.
    However please be aware of the restrictions:
    Once you have decided about the code page and converted the object, this cannot be reverted !
    Therefore it is highly recommended to check the display mode first and in addition test it extensively on a sandbox system !

  • File XML Content Conversion: Problem with special characters

    Hello,
    in a file sender cc content conversion is used to transform a flat structure to XML. What we experiencecd is that the message mapping failed due to a character that was not allowed in XML:
    I was assuming that the file content conversion just creates XML messages with allowed characters. Is there any way to configure content conversion to remove control characters which are not allowed in XML? Unfortunately the sender system cannot be modified.
    Thank you.

    Hi Florian,
      Please use this UDF to remove special characters which prevent XML messages to form properly.
    public static String removeSpecialChar(String s)
              try
                   s=s.replaceAll("&","& amp ;");
                   s=s.replaceAll("<"  , "  & lt ;");
                   s=s.replaceAll(">", "& gt ;");
                   s=s.replaceAll("'", "& apos ;");
                   s=s.replaceAll("\"", "& quot ;");
              catch(Exception e)
                   e.printStackTrace();
              return s;
    Please remove spaces between characters within double quotes. I have added them because otherwise you can't see this code properly. Please check this below link , please replace the characters with proper values as the display is causing a problem here
