G5 clicks off when 15" or 17" ADC Display is connected

I just bought a 17" ADC Apple Display to use with my Dual G5 2.5Ghz. My 15" ADC Apple Display was working great. When I attached the 17", I heard a clicking sound within the G5. It then wouldn't power up. I attached a DVI to VGA Adapter and it powered up with the VGA monitor attached. I went back to my 15" ADC and now the G5 clicks when I connect that monitor. I tried it on a Dual G5 2.0Ghz and it now does the exact same thing. I hit the button and it won't power up. I attach the DVI to VGA Adapter with a VGA monitor to the Dual G5 2.0Ghz and it starts right up. Anyone come across this?

Some display parameters are stored in PRAM, so you can try resetting PRAM.

Mac Pro Clicks Off When Waking from Sleep

This is a recurring problem, that is all the more annoying for its lack of consistency. Occasionally when my Mac is sleeping it'll just "click" (it actually makes a clicking sound) and shut off immediately when I try to wake it. Pressing the power button does nothing.
After a lot of trial and error I've found that the best solution is to unplug the power cord and wait for maybe 15+ seconds. Then I plug it back in, press the power button and she starts up like nothing happened--as if we don't both know what happened.
I'm on a good streak now, and it hasn't happened for a while, but given my experiences with it, I can't really relax.
Any ideas? Thanks for your time.

Yep, power draw. How about this for a knee slapper:
I had my MacPro plugged in to the same socket as a moderatly
stuffed PeeCee and every time I woke up the MacPro the PeeCee
would click off. The PeeCee PSU wasn't getting enough juice
and just turned off.
Now I have a poor electrical system in the current house that
I'm in. I think the Main breaker is 15 amps and the two that
split off are 10 each. So I can't toast toast and nuke some
cold coffee at the same time that the 3 PCs and the 22" CRT
are on in a lit room without the main breaker tripping. But
without the toaster and nukrowave running the MacPro when
waking up harshly dims all the lights in the house for about
0.5 seconds.
If your Mac is asking for more than it's getting there might
be some smart circutry in the PSU (like there is in most nice
PeeCee PSUs) that turn it off before it causes any trouble.
Make sure it's that only thing plugged into the socket that
you're using for it and see if that doesn't solve it.

ISight Camera clicks off when activated

I have been using my iSight camera for several years. Recently, whenever I turn it on, the little green light comes on indicating the camera is in use. But, almost immediately I hear a click and the camera goes off. If I disconnect the firewire cable for a minute and then reconnect it, the light will come on again, but once again, it will click off. I believe the clicking is a thermal overload switch in the camera. Does anyone else have this problem and can it be repaired at a reasonable cost?

That sound's normal and the clicking is the auto
focus, green light is aways off unless your in a
video chat(or using in an app that uses the iSight).

Thanks, Tony. That makes sense. For some reason, though, the camera wasn't working in iChat. Now it is, once more. Obviously I am doing something else wrong.

Or are you trying to restore the iPod from the iCloud backup?
What "reset" did you do?

Why does the cloud keeps clicking off when i try to back it up ( iphone 5)

I am having trouble backing up to the cloud. I have called Apple support and they tried to help. I turned most apps off, did a reset of wifi, tried doing it by plugging into wall, but it kicks off. Any other suggestions?

Try deleting your last backup and try backing up again. If that fails, You may have an app that is preventing the backup from succeeding. To locate which one, go to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>Manage Storage, tap the name of your device under Backups, under Backup Options tap Show All Apps, then turn them all to Off (including camera roll) and try backing up again. If it succeeds, then the camera roll and/or one of your apps is preventing the backup and you'll have to located by process of elimination. Turn the camera roll On and try backing up again. If it succeeds, turn some of your apps to On and try backing up again. If it succeeds again, turn some more apps to On then try again; repeat this process until it fails. Eventually you'll be able to locate the offending app and exclude it from your backup. If it's the camera roll that's the problem, import your photos and videos to your computer (see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083) and delete them. If you want some of them on your phone again, put them in a folder and sync them back to your phone by selecting the folder on the Photos tab of your iTunes sync settings and syncing. Tracking off when controlling a machine with video adapter connected

I have a bunch of machines connected to projectors and when I try to control the machines remotely, my view of the cursor is off (usually by an inch, give or take) from where the cursor is on the users screen.
It only shows one cursor, so it gets dicey trying to click on things when you don't actually know where you're clicking.
Unplug the adapter and control is back to normal.
Any idea what could be causing this?

8330 display not turning off when holstered.

Hi,
Last week for some unknown reason, my 8330 no longer shuts the display off when holstered. Additionally, the display no longer turns on when removed from the holster - I have to push the on/off key to turn the display on. The holster is a genuine BlackBerry holster and the magnet is still very strong and intact. Any suggestions as to why this has happened would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried a Battery Pull:
1. Remove the battery while phone is turned on
2. Wait a few seconds before inserting it again
3. Allow the long boot up process to finish (takes a few minutes usually)

A battery pull reclaims memory lost during application usage and clears minor software errors that creep in over time. The blackberry runs an OS just like your PC runs windows and the battery pull is the equivalent of a reboot/restart on your computer.

So you have iPhoto 2 on an old Mac and iPhoto '11 on the new one?
Never import an iPhoto library into another one - you simply copy it form the old computer to the new computer and launch iPhoto to conver it - Connect the two Macs together (network, firewire target mode, etc) and drag the iPhoto library intact as a single entity from the old Mac to the pictures folder of the new Mac - launch iPhoto on the new mac and it will open the library and convert it as needed and you will be ready move forward. Still need information on the Nickon import issue - what can you tell about that? So far all i know is it is not working

First you have a 4G iPod. Yes there is some delay between tapping the stop button and the recording stopping.

Quit Safari.
Hold the shift key down and relaunch Safari.
Empty Caches
Safari > Preference > Advanced
Checkmark the box for "Show Develop menu in menu bar".
Develop menu will appear in the Safari menu bar.
Click Develop and select "Empty Caches" from the dropdown.
