G5 Quad Delphi 4 wire Pump Connections ?

Hi,
I am trying to test the coolant pumps on my g5 because one cpu is overheating and there are no coolant leaks, there are 2 Delphi pumps each with 4 wires, they are connected to a black 12 way plug.
I am wondering if I can connect a 12v supply to the pumps to check that they function ok..
If anybody knows what the 4 wires are on the pumps I would be most grateful..
Thanks In Advance
Acestu

  • How to know if a wire is connected to a control (in the case of subVI)?

    Hello,
I would know if it is possible to know if a wire (in the caller VI) is connected to the subVI control ,or not.
    - There is any function to test a control to know if it is wired in the caller VI, or not ?
    OR
    - Do I test control defaults values and determine if a wire is connected ?
I hope my question is understandable =)

    Hi
I am not sure if this is of any help. But if click on a connector in the connector pane. You can specify some options. I often use the "is required" option for important input data. If a connector of this type is not wired. An error and a broken arrow will be the result. The VI will not run before the problem is corrected.

  • Fire Wire 800 connections

Am thinking about getting an external hard drive that uses Fire Wire 800 connection. Than realized there is only 1 800 port on this G5. So if I wanted to use another 800 port, it doesn't exist. Not to worry say some, 800 devices can be chained. Not to worry say others, there are 800 hubs just like USB has hubs.
Are any of these truth? What are the facts?

I understand what you are saying. On the main-line computers you hook many devices to a selector channel BUT only one device at a time can perform I/O; on a multi-plexor channel all devices can function at a higher speed than on a selector BUT still not up to their maximum. I would be reluctant to chain a device that would be operating at the same time as another device in the chain.
If chaining is possible, you would need in AND out ports, shades of the SCSI, wouldn't you. I've seen several small (160-250GB) but only one showed me a picture and it appeared to have 1 each USB, 400, and 800 therefore, no way to chain. The others gave me no reason to think they had "out" ports.

apple tv showing wire to connect to itunes via mini usb cable which i dont have?

You need to get the cable to restore the ATV to factory settings, following the procedure here.
USB mini cables are available from many different sources; often even from local stores like CVS or Walgreens. They are inexpensive, as little as a few dollars online & around $5 from some local discount stores.

You only need to verify your payment details.  Have you done that so far?  See here for more information.

  • Xi Fi Platinum, in need of wires that connect the drive with the c

Hey I've had a xi fi platinum for more than a year now but only now am I attempting to use spdif optical rather than analog. the only way to do that is to connect the dri've (which previously i didn't have connected) to the card. but i lost the wires that connect the card to the dri've. does anyone know where I can get them, or if it is possible to purchase them from creative? or, is there another way to connect optical to the platinum?
    thanks a lot.

I was in the same boat a week ago. Have a look here:

Now a question for all of you digital experts. Is there any particular reason why the S/PDIF connection from the X-Fi to my HT receiver is sounding inferior to the S/PDIF connection from my DVD player? The cable run from the X-Fi output is a bit long (75 ft.), but I didn't think that would matter as it's impossible to distort a digital signal. Is there perhaps a setting in the audio console that is messing up the signal?
    Thanks,

  • 3-wire RTD connection to SCXI-1306

I have read the NI Manual for 3-wire RTD connection with SCXI-1306 but I couldn't understand completely.
Where to connect each cable is understood: one RED cable in AI-; Black to AI+; and Black-2 to IEX+. Like Fig. 4 from SCXI-1306 Terminal Block Manual.
My question is regarding the switches: the manual shows only 2 swiches (Fig 4) and the first is down and secound up. Looking at the Terminal Block there are 4 switches and not only 2.
How should I place the switches?
    Thanks

    Hi,
From the specification of SCXI-1306, Figure 2, there is only 2 switch per channels.
Can you help to attach the picture showing your SCXI-1306?
    Thanks.

  • Remote wire not connected :S

When i opened up my mega pc 180 i noticed a loose wire with a label "remote" on it. As you may have figured out, my remote doesn't work. Where to connect this wire and does this solve my problem?
(I dled girder and the msi plug in but i couldn't get that to work yet)

First, note that the remote only works when your PC is turned off for the WiFi (not sure about the girder plugin, as I do not have it installed).
Here is a link to the Mega 865 PC Motherboard manual:  http://www.msi.com.tw/program/support/manual/mnu/spt_mnu_detail.php?UID=547&kind=4
The only wire I can see in my system says 'tv remote', and it is not connected.  This was not connected on my first 865 either, and I'm not sure where it should be connected, but, I do know that it does not 'have' to be connected in order for your remote to work, because my remote does work.

  • Sharing a Vista Dial up connection with a Mac wire wirless connection

I have a problem i would like to share the internet connection from my wifes PC (dial up connection) with my mac book pro via wireless connection between each computer. Now it works ok (after fiddling with firewall on PC) when we have the dial up connection on the mac and use the wireless from the PC to access the internet the same time. but it does not work the other way. I tried to allow sharing on both the dial up or wireless, I have not found the same option which we have in the mac to tell the wireless connection which internet connection is to be shared. Is there any easy way to do it or must i pay a wireless router to access the dial up connection.

    i guess you should try
    String cmd = "c:\windows\dialup.exe";
    String envp [] = null; //environment variable
    Runtime.exec(cmd, envp);

  • ATT UVerse 2 wire gateway connection with Apple Base Station

I ordered AT&T UVerse which uses a wireles gateway 2wire and I'm unable to connect my Apple Base Station supporting 802.11N. I was first told that AT&T supported this when I purchased this service and durning the installation they informed me that I was unable to use the base station.
Has anyone figured out a way around this?

You just need to connect an ethernet cable from one of the LAN <-> ports on the 2wire to the WAN (circle icon) port on your Apple base station and configure as follows:
Hard Drive > Applications > Utilities > AirPort Utility
    Click Manual Setup
Click the Internet icon in the row of icons at the top of the setup page
Look for the setting at the bottom of the page for Connection Sharing and set this to "Off (Bridge Mode)".
    Click Update
If AirPort Utility does not "see" the base station when you try to configure it using wireless, temporarily connect an ethernet cable from your computer to one of the LAN ports on the base station. Once you have it configured, you can remove the ethernet cable.
Please post back on your progress.

  • HP ENVY 17t-j000 CTO Quad with Realtek wireless slowness/connection

Hi, my setting (from HP support Assistant)

    Windows 8 64-bit
REALTEK Wireless LAN Driver  -  REALTEK Semiconductor Corp.  -  1.00.12.0906
I have a wireless router that supports 802.11n and get barely 8-12Mbps and sometimes it looses connection..  Another laptop (Dell) with 802.11n w/ windows 7 gets almost 35-40Mbps sitting in the same area of our house.
I just had BIOS upgrade (which took 3 tries to install) and then windows update, then tried to update the realtek driver and nothing helps.  I am thinking the wireless NIC is defective... I read other posts about Intel nic working better, but what do I do about what I have?? ARRRGGGGGG  HELP!

Hi, sorry to hear that you are having issues with your computer connecting to wifi.  I have done some research and I have found several driver updates that I think will help with the issues you are having.  Please click on the link that I have added to get to the driver downloads.    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=4132&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&sw_lang=&product=5388...

  • Wire less connection

My daughters laptop connects to the intenet wirelessly however sometimes the connection allows only local access.  I have other laptops in the house that have no problem they run vista and xp.  This is a new laptop running vista.  Tech support is no help and my whole family wants us to chage back to cable.  Any ideas?

The default ESSID (wireless network name) and the default WEP key (wireless network password) are both printed on a sticker on the bottom of the router.
It is just a matter of finding the network that matches the ESSID in your wireless software, clicking connect, and when prompted for the key/password, type in the WEP key
If entered incorreclty, it may seem like you are connected, but you are reall not....
Make sure to type the WEP key EXACTLY as it is on the sticker....
If need be, reset the router with a paperclip or pen in the reset hole on the back of the router for 15 seconds, reboot the PC and try again.
If still not working, but another wireless device is... like the last guy stated, it would not be a Verizon issue.
