G500 battery dont charge upto 100 %

my lenovo g500 stops charging at 60 % ...  help... how to remove such a battery protection.. however instead of protecting it make me demage the battery by using until the battery dies

Hi Vivek,
Welcome to Lenovo Community!
If you have installed the LEM (Lenovo Energy Management) in the computer, by choosing the (Optimized Battery Health) the Battery charges only to 60% and stops charging the battery and then it take its power from the charger, so if you want to charge the battery to 100%, you need to choose (Maximum Battery Life).
Do post us back for further queries.

my battery does not charge upto 100% its stops at 99% after hours of charging. what do i do?

    Hi @ekezie
Welcome to the HP support Forums!
I understand that your notebook battery will not charge to 100%, I am happy to assist.
Since it is new did you interrupt the charge cycle at all. On many notebooks there are for lack of a better word charge thresholds to prevent the battery from charging when it is already above a certain level when first plugged in. This is to  prevent repeated short charge cycles, which can reduce battery life. That may be the sort of thing that is happening.
However I would recommend taking a look at this page, and running the tests.

  • 4s Battery Stops Charging at 100%

Since I got my 4s on Friday it's happened pretty regularly.
I place my phone on my charger at night right before bed.  In the morning when I wake I check the phone and it's charged to 100%.  If I leave it on the charger though and check back in an hour or two I notice that the battery begins to discharger (or simply that it no longer is being charged.)  The last three days when I've taken the phone off the charger the battery has been at 96%, 98% and 92%.
I'm starting to wonder if this is an intended feature meant to stop the phone from being overcharged, a bug with iOS 5 or a defect with my phone.  I'm doubting it's the later since I've heard from a few people already who are exepriecning the same issue.

    paulcb wrote:
It's not supposed to do that.  The device will stop charging when it reaches 100% but it should not go down if still plugged in.  Your battery meter may be off... try this... fully discharge (till it shuts off) and then fully recharge (100%) the battery to recalibrate the battery meter.
My observation is that the iPad charger output is reduced at 95 and stopped at 100%, the battery is allowed to discharge from 100 to approx 95% and then power is applied, this is identical to the behavior of a modern Mac portable with a magsafe charger. It's just like any other feedback system, actions taken by the supply (charger) are predicated on the behavior of the load (battery)
I would not be surprised to see the same behaviour on the iPod and iPhone.

  • G500s Battery not charging

Hi there! I only got my Lenovo G500s three months ago, and the battery isn't working properly. I'm not sure what happened but a few days ago it just stopped chargining and now I have to keep it plugged in it at the mains to keep it on. The battery icon in the corner still says that it is chargining, it just never goes beyond 0%. What should I do?

    Hi Savenasurana,
    Welcome to Lenovo Community!

  • I recently performed a upgrade from 7.0.5 to 7.0.6 and I found that my phone battery drain up very fast and the battery unable charge to 100. Besides, the battery live is going down when I charging with  3G on.Any solution for my issue? Please help.

Hi, I had my iPhone 4S and I'm recently upgraded it from 7.0.5 to 7.0.6 and I found the battery drain up very fast if compare to iOS 7.0.5. Besides, I also unable to fully charger my phone to 100% now - max is 85% with phone either in airplane mode or switch off totally
May seek help from your advise on above case.
    Thank you
    Best regards,
    Adrian

Try killing the battery (Let it drain---turning on all the settings, playing a video, and having the brightness up kills it faster), then let it fully charge from there. Let me know if that works.

  • MagSafe LED Green, but Battery Not Charging to 100%

I got my MBP 15" (the "low"-end version) about 3-4 weeks ago. About a week ago, I noticed that when working on my computer with the AC adapter plugged in, it charged up to 98% (according to both CoconutBattery and the Mac itself) and then stopped; the day after, it only charged up to 96%. That same day, I had the entire MBP replaced because of an issue with a faulty latch, and though I mentioned the battery % issue at the Geek Bar, I was told it isn't a big deal and should be taken care of by virtue of the replacement MBP. However, 2 days after, I notice that once again, my battery charges to only 98% and then stops; again, the MagSafe LED is still green as if it were fully charged.
Is this a problem/will it keep degrading? Or is it just normal? Is there any way to fix this?
    Thanks,
    ~Ethan

Hi EthanRT: This is perfectly normal, battery behaviour. There is an explanation in this Apple article: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1909?locale=en_CA

  • HT4060 ipad 4 - Should i keep charging after 100% ?

Should i keep my ipad 4 plug in even after 100%, just the way i do for laptop? As i charge my ipad twice daily from 40%, as my heavy usage is mainly on games that i play through wifi daily. and some streaming on it through my desktop pc.
right now i dont charge after 100% at all, but would it be alright and not damage my battery life!
And how long will my ipad 4 battery life will last and how to confirm how many cycle is left?

It will not damage the battery. The battery does not charge further at 100%

  • HT1490 Charging to 100%, when I turn Macbook back on it reads 98-99%

shorter version: My 15" non retina Macbook Pro (1.6ghz, 8gb RAM, 750gb hd) starts up at 98-99% after fully charging every time. I charge to 100%, and the next time I power up, the indicator reads 98-99%. This has happened since I purchased the computer.
longer version: I have tried searching for an answer to my question, but my searches always turn up the wrong answers. I am guessing that the reason for this is I have to use specific terms to describe my problem, but these terms are also used to describe a similar sounding problem, but not the same problem (searches turn up: battery never charges to 100%; battery only charges to 98%,etc).  Every time I charge up my 15" non retina Macbook Pro (8gb RAM, 750gb HD, 1.6gHz) to 100%, and power it off (without using it; I have tried unplugging it from charger before AND after powering down), the next time I turn on the computer the battery always indicates I have a 98-99% charge. I know that the battery can drain some when not in use. But can it drain 1-2% after being unused (and off) after just a couple hours? The computer never starts up at 100% after being charged to 100% and being turned off. I have had this Macbook for a little over a year. I have never "calibrated" the battery, because I have read that you are not supposed to.
I am not even sure that this is a "problem," I just do not know why this happens. Thank you.

    Try a SMC reset:

  • 4 days old MBP 13". First boot up showed charge of 100%, next boot up showed battery fully charged but the percentage read 98% in the subsequent boot ups the battery is fully charged but percentage reads 96%. Whats wrong??

I recently purchased a 13" MacBook Pro. On my first boot up, the battery charged to 100%. I didn't operate this thing on the battery. The next time I booted this thing up, the battery was charged but the meter read 98%. In the subequent boot ups of this machine, and I still having not used the battery, my battery is fully charged but the meter now reads 96%. IS there some problem with the hardware or the software? Help is appreciated!!
    Thanks.

hey thank you for the info. Based on what happened, the battery has gone up to 100% just once when I booted this machine for the first time. On subsequent occasions the Battery Charged symbol has appreard at below 100% charging. I have been using my MacBook Pro for the whole day with outlet power and never did the battery go back to 100%. I hope I don't have to calibrate the battery on this model?

  • My brand new mac book pro battery won't charge to 100% it only charges to 99%. What's wrong with it ad how do I fix it?

My new MacBook pro won't charge to 100% battery it will only charge to 99%. Please help!

Nothing is wrong, that is normal.  If you let it drop below 93%, it will recharge back to 100%.  It is a feature to prolong the life of the battery.

  • I forgot my ipad on charge after 100%,is this bad for ipad battery?

I forgot my ipad on charge after 100%,is this bad for ipad battery?

Once the battery was fully charged, the smart circuitry stops charging the battery.  Power is then used just for running the device, and the charging circuits will not cut back in until the battery has spontaneously drifted down by 5%-10% of a full charge (which should take days with a normal, healthy battery).
You cannot over charge any Apple device.

  • Battery charged to 100% but not working

Have a G510 and it works fine when pluged into AC adaptor but won't run when not connected.
The battery is reading at 100% charged but won't actually run the system.  Can anyone advise if it is the battery is dead or something wrong with the actual hardwear.
I have 12 days on my warranty left so would like to know sooner rather than later.

    Hi Fazzie,
    Welcome to Lenovo Community!
As per the query we understood that you are facing issue with battery of your Lenovo G510 laptop.
As you have mentioned that the system is not powering on only if the battery is connected to the system, please check the battery with another system to confirm the issue, try to connect other battery and check for the issue.
Also try to reset the battery gauge, go to start search type power manager, under power manager select battery tab, under battery tab select battery maintance and select perform reset under the battery gauge reset option.

  • Bought my I-Pad in Nov.  Just Wi-Fi.  Use almost every day and re-charge battery at 50%-- usually every 3-4 days.  Just finished re-charging to 100% today and was playing a video when it just stopped working.  Only picture of the Apple logo.

Bought my I=pad (wi-fi) in Nov. Use sometime alsomst every day and re-charge battery at 50%.  Usually every 3-4 days.  Just finished re-charging to 100% and was playing a video.  Stopped and I turned it off and when I turned it back on, just got the Apple Logo.  is the battery no good after only 6 months?

The battery is not likely the culpret.  Something to hung up.  You need to reboot:
Hold the home and power button at the same time for about 10 seconds (Keep holding past the swipe to shut down) and when the Apple Logo again appears, let go and your iPad should come back to life.
