G500 drivers installation order on Windows 7
Hello,
I just bought this laptop, a G500, model name: 20236 and model number CB03103187.
LENOVO ESSENTIAL G500H 59-395372 15.6'' INTEL CORE I3-3120M 4GB 1TB AMD RADEON HD8570M 1GB FREE DOS
With no windows.
It came with free dos on it. Which is just fine.
I would like to use my own new copy of windows 7 64-bit.
I will download the drivers from here:
Drivers and software - Lenovo G500 Notebook
http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/detail.page?DocID=DS035531
Is there a particular driver installation order ?
I am thinking of doing it in thisorder:
-Windows 7
-windows 7 SP1
-BIOS
-chipset
-amd video
-audio
-usb device
-blue tooth
-atheros LAN
-WLAN
-camera
-card reader
-touch pad
-power mgmt
Do i need these drivers?
-intel video drivers
-intel mgmt engine
-intel rapid storage
Thank you in advance,
Gus

Hello Gus,
There is no particular driver installation order. I personally firstly install Chipset then Display/Video drivers and after that everything else. Since you have AMD RADEON HD8570M in your machine, you do not have to install the three additional Intel drivers.

Do anyone knows drivers installation order for Satellite A660-11M
Do anyone knows the drivers installation order for Satellite a660-11m?
I've got some issue installing Win 7 pro (wlan do not work properly,
freezing few minutes after laptop startup, unabling to run CHKDSK on C:).
Reading this forum it seems to me these aren't new issues for Toshiba users.Hi, friends.
I've installed the the Flash Card Support Utility. In effect, now the function keys work. ;) <img class="emoticon" border="0" alt="" />
Unfortunately it seems that problems are hard to die. The Laptop, in fact, keeps freezing, tipically but not exclusively, after resuming from suspension due to lid closing. System can stucks during windows login or after a while that user is logged on.
During these days i've discovered that SPTD.exe x64 v.1.74 (Daemon Tools) and Nod32 x64 makes impossible launching chkdsk on %SystemDrive% (countdown stucked on 1 and hdd led blinked with very short ON state). However, even without installing those, it seems that one is not able to break the countdown (that windows shows before it starts chkdsk) pressing a key.
But maybe I should open a new topic for talcking about this. -

Tecra A10 - Installation order for XP, additional Windows updates and JRE
Hello,
Sorry to post a new thread but the old one " [Tecra A10 - Installation order for XP|http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=45611] " being closed and my question relates to the same topic.
I got hold of a Tecra A10 PTSB0A-002001 and I would like to install XP SP3 on it so the order in which to install Toshiba additionnal drivers is very useful. Thank you Ivan25 for that information.
Toshiba also include a Java Runtime Environment 2 package which I was planning to replace by a JSE 7. I would like to know in which order it has to be installed?
Furthermore, after installing XP SP3 there are still hundreds of Windows updates to apply, should those Windows updates be installed straight after XP SP3 setup or after Toshiba drivers?
Thank you in advance for your help
Cheers
Eric

Thank you for you reply. I did install JRE 7 in fact because JRE 2 is a bit out-dated.
For information, the "ALPS Pointing-device Driver" returned errors but all went fine when Iinstalled Vista 32bit driver instead of XP 32bits
Another question, is with regards to "Intel(R) Matrix Storage Manager(iMSM) ". Since, we have to install SATA HDD drivers during Windows XP setup, is it necessary to run again the "Intel(R) Matrix Storage Manager(iMSM)" which might overwrite the SATA driver installed at the beginning of the setup?
I agree with you that WXP might not be the best choice, but I need to run some older software that do not work yet under W7, especially under W7 64bits! I am planning on having a boot lodaer anyway, which will allow me to start MS-DOS, XP, W7 or Linux depending on the need.
Cheers
Eric

Need correct Win 7 driver installation order for Satellite P500/01G
Hi,
I have a Toshiba Satellite P500 and had to replace HDD after it was dropped by son.
I dont have the recovery disc so i loaded Win 7 from image on USB.
I down loaded all the drivers but have been frustrated by a few things.
The webcam seems to be impossible to get working despite trying every fix i could find online and some devices unkown in device manager.
The Toshiba site lists multiple audio, display and wireless cards wgich makes it hard to know the correct driver to install.
I needd a correct driver list and the order they should installed in
Model is Satellite P500/01G (PSPGSA-01G003)
windows 7 32 bit
CheersHi
I have Satellite P500 too and Im really satisfied with it. I hope you are also happy with your machine.
To be honest I think you should use it with original Win7 64bit version.
As I can see you have an Australian model. I have UK model but I think installation order must be the same. So here it is:
Windows 7
Intel Chipset SW Installation Utility
Intel Management Engine Interface
Display Driver
Intel Turbo Boost Technology Driver
Intel Rapid Storage Technology Driver
TOSHIBA Supervisor Password Utility
TOSHIBA HW Setup Utility
TOSHIBA Value Added Package
Card Reader Controller
NVIDIA HD Audio Driver
Conexant Audio Driver
Wireless LAN Driver
Synaptics Touch Pad Driver
TOSHIBA HDD Protection
Bluetooth Stack for Windows by Toshiba
LAN Driver
YUAN DVB-T/ATSC Tuner Driver
TOSHIBA USB Sleep and Charge Utility
TOSHIBA Face Recognition
TOSHIBA eco Utility
TOSHIBA HDD/SSD Alert
TOSHIBA Service Station
HDMI Control Manager
TOSHIBA Remote Control Manager
TOSHIBA Fingerprint Utility
PatchFiles FixFPService_REG_1.0
ConfigFree
TOSHIBA Assist
TOSHIBA Web Camera Application
TOSHIBA Extended Tiles for Windows Mobility Center
TOSHIBA Folder Migrating Utility
PatchFiles
If some listed driver is not available for download just continue with next one.

Satellite L670 - Is there any driver installation order for the Win XP
Hi!
I own a Toshiba satellite L670 model.
I want to install Windows XP (32 bit) and i wanted to ask if there is an installation order for the laptop drivers (which goes first , second etc) after the Windows Installation. I can't find anythink about it from Toshiba Corp.
Thanks in advance!Well, usually you should proceeds with the common drivers like graphic card driver, chipset driver, LAN, WLan driver, touchpad driver, card reader controller, etc
After that I recommend following with Toshiba software like Controls driver, Controls, Hotkey Utility, Power Saver Driver, Power Saver, etc
On the right you can find More Info. There you will find details about each driver, software

SIMPLE OVERVIEW
SAP NetWeaver 7.02 ABAP Developer Edition System Requirements:
JRE 1.4.2.x or 1.5.0.x for Installation
Operating System:
Windows 7 Professional or Windows Server 2008R2 (english)
Hostname must not exceed 13 characters
NTFS-File systems
Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher or Firefox 1.0 or higher (newest recommended)
At least 2 GB RAM (recommended 4-8 GB)
Intel Pentium III/1.1 GHz or higher (or compatible)
50 GB hard disk space temporary during installation - 36 GB permanent
High-resolution monitor (1024x768 or higher, 256 colors)
Make sure that no other SAP system is installed on your computer
The SAP system requires serveral ports for communication services. Therefore the file %WINDIR%\system32\drivers\etc\services must not include an entry for the ports 3200, 3600 and 8000. A possible entry can be excluded by using the hash symbol (#).
If no DHCP server is available on your network (which dynamically determines the IP address) or your computer is not connected to any network, you need to install the virtual interface adapter MS Loopback Adapter. The procedure to install a loopback adapter is documented within the download package.

Boot Camp Update Installation Sequence for Windows Vista ?
Hello,
how is the installation order for Boot Camp 3.0 ? Shall I install it after the Windows Vista installation or after the Service Pack 1 or 2 because Boot Camp 2.2 need Service Pack 2. If I look in the Boot Camp 3.0 manuals, there aren't any details about Service Pack 1 or 2.
I thank you indeed for the help.

Can SATA drivers be loaded in windows????
Hi,
I forgot to click on F6 when loading windows XP to install my SATA drives. How can that be done now that XP has been installed?
I also have drive letters all over the place. HD1 is I and HD2 is J. I think I can change them in system maint.
Thanks,
SwenHello Swen,
Glad to see you made it back to this forum after the database program they experienced last night. Tried to send you a personal message this morning but you were not even in the database anymore. Hope you got my last message.
You do not need to install SATA drivers with F6 during windows installation. The F6 step described in your manual is only needed if you intend to install your operating system to a SATA drive or a RAID set up. If your operating system is being install to IDE drive then your SATA driver can be installed later on after you got windows on board as part of the Nvidia 5.10 drivers package. If you are really intending to install your operating system to a SATA drive then go to this thread: https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=76886.0
If not, you will have windows XP set up, goto device manager and then left click on + sign in front of "IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers" & then right click on "Nvidia nForce4 Serial ATA controller" & then select properties. In the new windows that opened select the driver tab. This will list what you have installed as a SATA driver.
Whatever you do make sure that you get the latest Nvidia 5.10 drivers package from the Nvidia site itself. I believe that MSI site still only offers version 5.03.
For your drive letter question simply click on start and then "Help and Support". When help and support windowns opens up, type this in the search window and then press the search arrow: "assign change or remove a drive letter". You can then look at the left hand result window and select "assign change or remove a drive letter". The right hand pane will now offer you two methods to use to proceed:
1- Windows interface
2- Command lines

Simple Question: My Core2Duo MacBook cannot use DRIVERS for 64-bit Windows?
What I thought was a Windows 7-only problem, I think I may have realized that I simply cannot use the drivers for 64-bit Windows anyway. I may need to reinstall Windows 7 using the 32-bit disc instead if I want to use all the features of my MacBook.
The thing is, my MacBook is perfectly capable of running 64-bit software, is this not correct? It's only a matter of paying more if I want everything to work? At least I'll run 64-bit Snow Leopard, I'm sure that will work at least!
Message was edited by: LiQuiD_FuSioNAre you getting an error saying that Boot Camp x64 isn't supported on your system? If so, try this:
Go here: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/507-built-administrator-account-enable-disa ble.html Follow the instructions in option two, its the easiest way. You'll need an external mouse for right clicking.
Once you've enabled that, log out of your account in Windows 7/Vista, log in to the newly appeared "Administrator" account, put in the appropriate disc with the Boot Camp drivers on it, browse the files on the disc. Go into Drivers, then Apple, then right click and run "BootCamp64"as an administrator. Everything installs just fine.
Then follow the instructions on that page I linked to remove the administrator account.
I have Windows 7 Home Premium x64 installed on my original aluminum unibody MacBook. It runs without a problem. I've even installed newer nvidia GPU (not chipset) drivers. Both to get better performance in the games I do play and because the drivers that ship with Boot Camp 3 are ancient.
Everything works! Should work on any non-ATI x1x00 series Core 2 Duo Mac, since ATI/AMD will not be supporting Windows 7 on those GPUs.
I posted it originally in this thread: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2211248&tstart=15 -
I can not get the drivers I need for Windows.
I have been doing this for about 8 hours now. I have tried, tried, and tried many, many, many, many methods and I am just frustrated. I can not obtain the drivers through bootcamp assistant. I am running OS X Snow Leopard. My Macbook pro is mid-2009 and is a 17 inch laptop. I'm trying to get drivers for Windows 7 Home Premium. Can anyone help me?
Snow Leopard = use your OS X DVD.
Lion = must use Boot Camp Assistant
Step 4: Install the Boot Camp Drivers for WindowsAfter installing Windows, install Mac-specific drivers and other software for Windows using your Mac OS X installation disc.
The Mac OS X disc installs drivers to support Mac components, including AirPort,built-in iSight camera, the Apple Remote, the trackpad on a portable Mac, and thefunction keys on an Apple keyboard.
The Mac OS X disc also installs the Boot Camp control panel for Windows and theApple Boot Camp system tray item. -

Normally you can get all drivers on the Toshiba website and it seems that your model supports XP:
http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com > Support & Downloads > Download Drivers
Furthermore on this page check the installation instructions document. This is a list for the recommended driver installation order. -
LAPTOP VAIO SVT15112CSX audio drivers that work with windows 10
Upgraded to Windows 10 (7/31/2015) VAIO SVT15112CSX but the audio (sound qaulity) was horrible. After some trying I found that installing the Windows 8.0 audio drivers from the Sony Support area for the latop made the sound work great again. I installed the patch (1) then rebooted. After that installed the audio driver (2) (not sure if you have todo it that way, but it worked for me). Everything else appears to work fine so far. :-) Support area: http://esupport.sony.com/US/p/model-home.pl?mdl=SVT15112CXS&LOC=3#/downloadTab Files from win8.0 64 bit: (there are no audio files in win 8.1 64 bit area).Description of files:(1) File DescriptionAudio Driver Registry PatchRelease Date2/01/2013Version2012 10/15File Size1.00 MBDOWNLOADThis utility installs the originally shipped version of the Audio Driver Registry Patch. Hi condor,
Welcome to Sony Community!
I believe the right model name of your unit is SVT15112CXS and not SVT15112CSX. Based on eSupport website, the drivers and software for Windows 10 will be released on November 2015. Those drivers are specifically made for Windows 8, but I am glad that it works well with Windows 10. You may stick with these and wait for the updated drivers once released and install on your laptop.
Thank you for posting your experience condor. You post might be very helpful to other users experiencing the same issue. I'll bookmark this thread for future reference.
