G500 stuck on lenovo logo

g500 stuck on lenovo logo intermittently sometimes boot to windows sometimes stops on lenovo logo bios updated

Hey computerworld,
It could be some device that is connected to the USB port of your laptop or the broken USB port itself. Try to disconnect any USB connected device like mouse and try to boot up. If it does not help, remove the battery from laptop and try again. Let me know what happened.

  • G500S Stuck in Lenovo Logo Screen

I have a g500s which runs with Win7. Last month it got stuck in the logo screen i tried the flee-power process but it did not work so i took it to the service center and they said they have to change the keypad since it was causing the issue, my laptop is still in warranty so i got it changed for free. i could use the laptop without any issue for one week. and the problem starts again and this is really getting annoying.
when i press ctrl+alt+del it restarts thats the only thing i can do, and the recovery key doesn't work.
i have tried the flee power.

    hi lipokjmr,
    Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!
If the system get's stuck in the Lenovo Screen,
It means that a hardware cannot be initialized.
Since the system is still under Warranty I suggest you call Lenovo Technical Support and Report that the problem showed up again, they may look for other Parts that is causing the Issue or it may be a diff Part Failing.
    Hope this helps

  • LENOVO G50-30 stuck at lenovo logo and cant even enter bios

    Hello
I yust got my lenovo G50-30 and wanted to install win 7 on it. after the first BsoD I went to bios and changed the AHCI to legacy mode. Got the same BsoD.  After that I changed the Os mode from win 8 to win 7 ... loaded the factory default settings and putted from AHCI to legacy mode again.
After that the laptop turns on, but it stucks at lenovo logo. I cant access the bios anymore to make any other changes. If I insert a win7 instalation disc, it start to spin but with no sucess. also cant acess the boot options anymore.
    Any help greatly apreciated

I suggest removing battery and AC, holding the power button for more than 15 seconds to reset the BIOS back to default settings then see if the issue remains.
Make sure to post the results.
    Good luck.

  • Lenovo H500s stuck at Lenovo logo boot loop

I've never had an easy use with this PC eversince I purchased it. It first rejected Windows 7 to be installed due to BIOS incompatibility which I had been warned before. I flashed the new BIOS version shared across the forum that worked for some people, it worked for me too.

Then just yesterday when I turned it on, it went into Lenovo logo for few seconds then restarted. It kept repeating the boot loop before I ran the power down to shut it completely. Already ran a system diagnose but found nothing. This already occurred before when I had to perform a windows fresh reinstallation for a constant fix, it runs normally for couple of weeks till yesterday when the problem came back.

Any ideas on what to do in this situation ?

  • [LENOVE G460] Stuck at Lenovo Logo Screen when a Boot-able USB plugged in

    The subject says it all.
I was thinking of doing a Live Install of a Linux Distribution using a Bootable USB.
So I plugged the Boot-able USB and then Power the Laptopn ON and then press F2 to enter the BIOS SETUP
But even after a few minutes the screen doesn't even budge from the Lenovo Logo... It just says "Entering Setup..."
First I thought something was wrong with my Boot-able USB so I checked it by using another laptop and TADA!!!! I managed to enter the bios setup screen, change the boot order and then start the Linux Installation without any problem.
And then I decided to do it again on the Lenovo G460 and then... The same Stuck at The Lenovo Logo Screen happened again.
Could Anyone shed some light on this problem?
    Thanks XD

    hi pezza1979,
    Welcome to the Forums.
Your issue might be similar to this thread.
    Can you try the following:
    1. Follow this guide on how to enable Legacy Safe Mode
    2. When done, try to boot the machine in Safe Mode. If everything's working fine on Safe Mode, perform a clean boot and observe the machine in normal mode.
If same problem, try to disable graphics switching:
    3. Boot into the BIOS by pressing F2 on bootup or by pressing the OneKey Recovery button > BIOS Setup
    4. In the BIOS, navigate to the Configuration Tab and set Switchable Graphics to UMA Only.
    - LInk to picture
Let me know how it goes.

  • Lenovo G500 black screen (lenovo logo)

Hello,  I have lenovo g 500 (laptop) and everything was fine until today when start my laptop i see black screen with lenovo logo (white color) link: imgur.com/tzWMuwII have tired to remove the battery with/without power cord but still same.  Lenovo G500Model name: 20236 Thanks for help!

Lenovo tech support is similar to Microsofts.Pretty useless. Even when you pay each money for help they point the finger at each other. If it was not so disgusting it would be laughable. At some point i hope a tech center is hit with a power outage that last a few decades so people will **bleep** can the garbage you sell and go else where. I repair computers for people daily. Most are failry stright foward problems.Unless its a Lenovo. Then its a nightmare. No wonder the local business people refuse to even take one in to work on.Of course writing this will do zero.About the same as spending money on Lenovo products and support

  • G500 stuck on lenovo screen

my G500 is stuck on the lenovo screen. i have read the forums and tried the solution of flee-power and did not work, and then i tried resetting the BIOS and did not work. Then I reset windows and my computer factory settings, and it still did not work.I don't understand what is wrong. It seems as if this is a problem with the G500 that other people have faced as well and your solutions don't seem to work.

Have you attempted to boot from an external source (live DVD or Flash Drive)?  If you have access to another computer you can download and create a "Live CD or Live DVD" of Linux to see if the system will boot successfully.  If that does not work and you are still unable to move past the Lenovo screen it may be a hardware error or the BIOS has become corrrupted.   Either of those options will require Lenovo Service Center to fix.

  • Lenovo g510 stuck in lenovo splash screen

I bought this g510 less then a year ago without an OS.
I've installed win7 first then ubuntu14.04, back when i get it.
Yesterday I deleted my win7 partition and reinstalled a premium sp1 win7 version from a usb formatted as NTFS - as you might have guessed I'm booting the laptop in legaci mode. The installation got stuck and failed and i had to do a hard reset.
After the hard reset the laptop won't boot and in fact it won't even pass the splash screen or respond to fn+f2 or any other shortcut to get into the bios. Even when i shut it off and press the Novo button it starts but doesn't display the blue utility menu with bios and boot options. Ive tried pressing the power button for 30 seconds witn the battery and power cable disconnected and tried to boot from usb but still nothing.
I then took the hard drive out and the laptop would boot and respond to novo button and fn+f2 and i can go into bios. It would also boot from usb when the hdd is disconnected. But it dosen't matter which bios settings i change or if the bootable usb is connected, when i hook the hdd back the laptop will just get stuck on lenovo splash screen again and won't respond to Novo button or fn+12 and it won't boot from usb - i should mention it does respond to capslock or the key to make the screen black (fn+f9).
I have a 1TR samsung sata hdd that seems to be perfectly fine. I don't think its the hdd or any of the hardware and the symptoms are not of defected hdd or anything else i've seen before. It 's also not a uefi problem as i've tried legacy and uefi mode with the same results. Also my usb boot is enabled in the bios just in case you're wondering.
This has ruined my weekend and about to ruine my week. Help lenovo please save me....?!?

    hi markwills,
    Welcome to the Forums.
If using another drive works fine on the G510 then I suspect that the stock HDD is failing or has corrupt partitions.
Can you consider using a 2.5" SATA enclosure to convert the stock HDD into an external drive and try to format the drive and/or run a hardware scan on it using the following:
      - Lenovo Storage Test or
      - HD Tune.
When finished, try to insert it back on the G510 and observe.
If you get errors on the scan or if the above step is not possible, I recommend you contact warranty support on how to go about getting the unit serviced.

  • Startup stuck at Lenovo screen

    Hi
I am having startup problem with my Lenovo G500.
I closed the lid after using the laptop with power cable connected. After 3 or 4 hours I just picked up the laptop and put it in the bag for traveling. After 12 hours when I took it out it was too hot.
I tried to switch it on but it stuck on Lenovo startup screen. Then I removed HDD and started again, It showed error of no bootable device. Then I connected HDD and started it worked fine for few days.
Now again same problem of startup screen.
I've done power flee procedure as well but of no use now.
Can anybody please guide me what's the suspected problem in the laptop?
    Regards
    Nasir

    hi nasirraza2009,
    Welcome to the Forums.
When the machine gets stucked on the lenovo logo, can you boot into the BIOS (by pressing F2 or Fn+F2) and check if the HDD is detected
       - Link to picture
In addition, If the machine boots again into Windows again, to un a diagnostic on the HDD to verify its health.
      - Lenovo Storage Test or
      - HD Tune.
If you're unable to run a diagnostic on the drive then I recommend you contact lenovo and report the problem as there's likely an issue on the HDD / HDD's connection to the motherboard (or other internal component).
