G505s: AMD A10 Chipset driver update?

Where can I find the AMD A10 Chipset drivers for win 8.1?

All of the available drivers should be in the driver matrix: http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/detail.page?&DocID=DS035837
Regarding the chipset driver you've specified, please see this page: http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/detail.page?DocID=DS038069
This reads as the driver is native to the OS.
Does this help you?
Regards.

  • AMD GPU. Driver update problem. Windows 7, BootCamp 5

    Hey .
First I describe my problems, then what I've tried and at the bottom are my computer specs.
I have an old driver for my video card , I am reminded of this when I start modern games such as Battlefield 4
When I start Battlefield 4 a window opens that says which model of the driver I have installed and that I should switch to a newer, and the latest driver model number is then specified .
I have tried to update by :
    1. Windows update . No such updates are there
    2. Go into the Control Panel , gone into the display settings ( through the " change screen resolution " ) , advanced tab, the video card , properties, driver tab, and finally update the driver. With the election "search automatically". Then I get the message. " You already have the latest drivers installed ."
    3. Download the latest drivers from the manufacturer's website ( amd ) and then implement step 2 ( above), but choose option : choose driver software on your computer. Then select the folder where I downloaded the files from the manufacturer's website . Then I get the same message from option 2.
    4. Download the latest drivers from the manufacturer's website and then run the file I downloaded . The same message comes from the game (battlefield 4) that I do not have the latest drivers installed . Although the final page in the driver-installation said: your drivers are updated. Restarting the computer does not help me off with the problem.
Uninstall the existing driver is a possible solution . However, not reliable to me. Am worried that no drivers can be installed and that I will be stuck without any driver because i Did it once and could not install the new drivers and was then forced to reinstall BootCamp because they provide drivers for eg graphics cards, mice, keyboards and so on. However, these are updated from apple's side once every 3 years, and usually in conjunction with driver issues or updates. Not like these " imperfections " that I have.
Any other options than to uninstall the drivers and hope it goes to install new from the drivers website?
    My technical data:
Computer: iMac (purchased newest model in June 2012 )
Operating System: Windows 7 64bit , through BootCamp 5 from Mac os Mountain Lion.
Graphics card: Amd Radeon 6700m 512mb
    Current driver: 13.9

I had the exact same problem and i just got this to work. Go to my computer and then right click on the disc image. Then double click on bootcamp and then setup and that should work.

  • Satellite Pro L300: x3100 and Intel 965 chipset graphics driver update

Has anyone else installed the Intel 7.15.10.1666 driver, dated 26/02/2009 for the Mobile 965 chipset? Here's their web page for getting to the download:
    http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/intelgm965/
For some reason unknown to me, Toshiba Satellite Pro L300 doesn't work with the Intel auto driver update (the download with the exe file). Therefore I followed their instructions for a manual install (the download with the zip file).
My laptop is working just fine with this new driver, and there is a definite improvement in the transitions between images when using the Windows presentation option (slideshow).
This new driver also installs 3 graphics programs from Intel:
    Hotkeys for display management
    System tray access
    TV wizard
I used Windows Defender to remove these 3 from programs that automatically load at system startup to keep a fast boot time and not load unnecessary programs into memory. This hasn't caused me any problems.
Why hasn't Toshiba added this to the driver downloads page?

    Hi
    Thanks for this info mate...
    > Why hasn't Toshiba added this to the driver downloads page?
Who knows maybe it has not been checked, approved and tested by Toshiba?
As far as I know every notebook manufacturers test and approve the drivers before they will be released on the driver pages
Maybe it has not been approved...
However, its good news that this driver is working properly.
I will check it too on my notebook.
    Cheers

  • [Thinkpad S430] BIOS Update & USB 3.0, Chipset driver, Intel RapidStorage

    Hi guya,
at the moment I am trying to get all drivers together for the new windows 8.
So far so good. I got almost all, but the newest BIOS Update contains an README which is mentioning to install a specific USB 3.0 driver prior flashing the new BIOS.
But where can I get the driver?
Also for windows 7 there has been a chipset-driver, will there also one in windows 8?
In the download section you can download a driver for the use of the caching-ssd called Intel RapidStorage, but as far as I know, does Lenovo use Expresscache under windows 7..
     mentioned abstract from BIOS-Update:
    - Lenovo recommends to install the USB 3.0 driver for Windows (Version
1.4.0.225 or higher) prior to updating the BIOS. Because the BIOS requires
the modification in the USB 3.0 driver to fix USB 3.0 related issues.

    Hello,
I am not familiar witheither  the ThinkPad S430 or the Iomega external USB 3.0 hard disk drive, but I wonder if the latter might not be receiving enough power over the USB cable.  Does the Iomega drive have an option to take power from an external AC adapter or second USB port?  If so, try providiing additional power and see if that allows the drive to be recognized when attached to the ThinkPad S430.

  • Driver update for Win 7 USB issue on nVidia chipset systems now available

This patch is needed for the TouchSmart 600 AIO Desktop series if you haven't installed it.
    http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Lockups-Freezes-Hangs/Driver-update-for-Win7-USB-issue-on-nVidia-chipse...

The update is not part of the desktop Win7 update disc from MS or HP  - Microsoft has not yet integrated it into Win7, and it is not yet available on Windows Update (it is likely to hit there sometime in January).   It was available too late to get it out on HP Update before the holiday break.  I don't believe there have been any rolls to the Win7 upgrade disks.   I do recommend (while still on Vista) running HP Update and installing all applicable updates  - PRIOR to doing the Win7 upgrade.  Also - I'd double check the drivers page for your system for any Vista updates as well,  best to do any driver/BIOS/Video BIOS updates prior to the Win7 upgrade process.  I know that some of them were created before Windows 7 was out - and may not want to install if it sees the newer OS.
As to the fix - this could manifest itself in many ways - but essentially - this resolves system flakyness with USB devices attached .  Some internal devices (card readers, touchscreens, some Wireless LAN interfaces) connect via USB - so they could be affected, even if you haven't hooked up anything to your system externally.
Not sure just what problems you were experiencing, so can't say this was the cause (and will be the fix) - but if it applies to your system - I'd definitely give it a shot.    I checked a couple of systems that had this update - I see it now on the software drivers and update page for them, so it looks like it rolled out OK.
    Happy Holidays...

  • Controller SATA (ASRock P4V88 - Chipset VIA 8237) There's A Driver Update ?

Hy, i'm Davy From Italy, last Year i start using Solaris 10 on a IDE DISK waiting for a Sata Driver for the via 8237 controller (the same of the asrcock 775vt)
Yersterday i try the Solaris-10 8 07 and this Controller is already not-compatible.
there's a Driver UPDATE for this sata Controller? i don't have the Ide-Emulation Option on the asrock bios. and now, in 2007-2008, the non-sata compatibility are very strange..
can anyone suggest a link for the driver?
    Thx Davy From Italy

    Hi,
Did you try to boot in safe mode?
Restart the computer, press F8 before the Windows logo appears.
If you can enter into safe mode, restart your computer and let Windows start normally.
If you have created a system image or you have a system image installation disc, you can use it to restore your computer. But any changes you've made, programs you've installed, or files you've saved after the system image was created
will likely be lost unless you have a recent backup of your data.
If the methods all not work, you may have to reinstall the windows.

  • HP Pavilion 15-e084ca CHIPSET DRIVER for Win 8.1

Just looking to upgrade my Notebook to Win 8.1 64-bit, and noticed in the drivers section that there's no present Chipset driver. Why is this? Hi,
The following link shows the specs of your computer:

and the following link shows parts:

    1. For chipset: Your machines uses " AMD Elite Quad-Core A10-5750M Accelerated Processor" therefore AMD is the chipset. Normally we can use Intel or AMD chipset driver  (in this case AMD) from the maufacturer sites.
    2. Graphics: You can use the first link and select Graphics card driver
    3. Wireless: And you can use second link (last item) to work out which driver you have to download.
    Good luck for the upgrade.

  • Km2m shuts down during boot after running via chipset driver install

Ive recently purchased a new computer with a km2m Combo mobo and am having trouble getting it properly configured and running.
I attempted to run the "One Touch Setup" on the drivers and utilities CD that was supplied with the system. Reeceived a message to first install the VIA Chipset drivers. I ran the chipset driver install and simply clicked NEXT on all the screens accepting the default options. The install appears to complete successfully and restarts the pc.
during restart the pc abruptly powers off!
I can reboot the system in safe mode.
I've run msconfig and disbabled everything and the system still powers of during a normal boot.
If I restore the registy (scanreg /restore) the system again boots properly.
What causes this anomaly and how do I resolve it? Is there some sort of hardware incompatibility? I'm stumped!!!
    AMD XP 2400+ 266FSB
    OS = Windows Me
    PSU = +3.3/28a +5/40a +12/18a -12/1.0a -5/1.0a +5SB/3.0a
    what other info is needed?

Yes, problem with the video card sounds plausible! Any not so successful updates recently? It is sometimes to make a good uninstall, which is required to make a good install.
4in1 drivers should - esp. with W98 and ME - be installed while in SafeMode and with all autostarting programs disabled, for example Antivirus and utilities.
Else, since you have a damaged regedit, I would reinstall Windows. You might have done something for example an upgrade or new install the registry, not healthy, has made a note of. Some utilities also overwrite and change system files without good results.

  • Intel HD Graphics 4400 driver update problem.

    Hi!
I have an Inspiron 3537 157813. I tried to update to the recommended driver (10.18.10.3316, A02), downloaded from DELL Support, for Intel HD Graphics 4400. But it shows an error message: "The driver being installed is not validated for this computer.  Please obtain the appropriate driver from the computer manufacturer."
    What could I do?

sorry I do not have an answer, I do have the same problem with this graphics and noticed you had no reply so I thought if I add to it we might get a response from Dell or someone in the forum. I cannot update intel 4400 it is stuck with 10.18.10.3282  (26/08/2013) it won't update to the latest iris even though it goes through the full installation without error, it's the same with any previous update since the one installed, there is always issues with either intel 4400 or AMD 8870m dedicated, any update after 2013 and the AMD is recognised as R9 M270X which it clearly isn't , it doesn't matter if I download the graphics drivers from here or from Intel website itself it just doesn't update, updated chipset and bios and all other hardware and software updates ok Intel 4400 just stays at version 10.18.10.3282, any info would be appreciated ... cheers

  • Chipset Drivers updates

I have been having a "sleep mode" problem with my notebook recently in that, if I select 'sleep' the notebook screen goes black, the fan keeps running and won't wake up with the keyboard or mouse. I then have to switch off and then switch on and the notebook opens in 'Windows Error Recovery'.
It has been suggested that i should update the chipset drivers as a possible solution.
Are there risks in doing this?
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

    Hi:
According to AMD's website, this would be the latest chipset driver for the chipset your model has.
    http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/chipset?os=Windows%207%20-%2064
You may also want to run the auto detect software and see if amd pulls a different driver and try that one first.
    http://support.amd.com/en-us/download
Risks attendant to installing it would be that driver won't install, or if it does the operating system won't start on reboot.
Can't tell you what the odds of something bad happening would be.  I would say not very high.  But if your luck is like mine, then...
Another issue could be the graphics driver.  You may want to consider reinstalling that in case some display driver files have gotten messed up over time.

  • H415 30991NU Chipset driver

    Hello,
I recently upgraded from Windows 7 Premium to Windows 7 Professional on a H415 30991NU desktop and cannot find the chipset driver for the device. I have already tried updating all the other drivers with the drivers from the Lenovo support site but am still getting the "SM Bus Controller" device not installed.

  • Audigy 2 ZS, Driver update results in broken driver, no sound.

    > I recently bought a used Audigy 2 ZS which works fine with the drivers from the CD. I don't know how old they are, Creative System Informations says driver version .82.0. That's why i wanted to update them. I had a Li've! before, so i knew how to update the drivers with the auto updater on the creative site. By the way, i did a clean up of the old drivers with Driver Sweeper before installing the new sound card.
When i do a driver update with the auto updater on the Creative website it downloads and install the newer drivers, but after the mandatory reboot i have no sound, and every Tool crashes, throws an error message or just doesn't work. I lose all my EAX effects and can't select any speakers. The only way to solve that is to uninstall everything and do a clean start with the CD.
I can update everything via the auto updater, except the drivers.

  • Should I use MSI's or Intel's chipset driver with a G31M3-L V2 motherboard?

I just purchased an MSI G31M3-L V2 motherboard, bundled with an Intel E5200 CPU from Fry’s Electronics, and I plan to build a computer with the other parts (listed below in the signature) that I already have.
This will be only my second build so I was doing some research to see that I do it right.  One thing I wanted to make sure about was the proper order for installing drivers since that appears to be important.
All seem to agree that the first driver to be installed after the basic Windows installation is the chipset driver.  Some even say that the chipset driver should be installed before even installing Windows patches, updates and service packs.  Others say to complete the Windows installation first, but all agree that the chipset driver should be the first driver.  Ok, so far so good.
There is a driver on the MSI web site labeled “Intel INF Drivers for 945/955/965/975/Q3x/P3x/G3x/X3x Chipsets.”  It has a version number of  8.3.0.1013 and an update date of 2008-01-16.
Well that’s great, but in my internet travels today I also came across a chipset driver on the Intel web site which also seems to be for the G31 chipset.  It is labeled “INF Update Utility – Primarily for Intel 4, 3, 900 Series Chipsets.”  It has a version number of 9.0.0.1008 and a date of 8/2/2008.  A look into the release notes for this item indicates that it is for Windows XP and the G31 Express chip set, among others.
Well, of course, my first impulse is to use the Intel supplied driver since it has a higher version number and a later release date, so it must be the better driver, right?
Then I got to thinking:  why wouldn’t MSI have this, apparently, newer chipset driver on its web site?  Is it possible that I would be better off with the, apparently, older driver on the MSI site?  Is it possible, perhaps, that MSI may have made changes to the driver they offer that makes it better for an MSI board than the, apparently, newer Intel driver?  Now I don’t know what to think!
So which should I use, the version 8 driver from MSI or the version 9 driver from Intel?

I am building a computer with the parts listed below, but I thought that since the MSI G31M3-L V2 motherboard has on board video, and sound, it might be simpler to start out with that and add my video, and sound, cards later.  Of course this means I will have to install the Intel VGA driver and the Realtek audio driver and then add the nVIDIA and Creative drivers when I add those parts.
On the one hand it seems like to get the computer up and stable first and then add in other parts later would be a good idea but on the other hand everyone seems to suggest that the graphics driver should pretty much be the next one installed after the chipset driver, so If I wait to add the nVIDIA card later I’m not really following this guideline.
What do you experienced system builders do in a similar situation, put everything in all at once or start out with the on board stuff first and add the cards in later?
