    Hi:
It is probably this, but I will need the hardware ID from the device if this isn't the driver you needed.

Welcome to the Oracle VM Server for SPARC installer.
You are about to install the LDoms Manager package, SUNWldm, that will enable
you to create, destroy and control other domains on your system. You will
also be given the option of running the Oracle VM Server for SPARC Configuration
Assistant (ldmconfig) to setup the control domain and create guest domains.
If the Solaris Security Toolkit (SST) is installed, you will be prompted to
    optionally harden your control domain.
Oracle VM Server for SPARC Configuration
Once installed, you may configure your system for a basic LDoms
deployment. If you select "y" for the following question, the Oracle
VM Server for SPARC Configuration Assistant (tty) will be launched
following a successful installation of the packages.
(You may launch the Configuration Assistant at a later time with the
command: /usr/sbin/ldmconfig, or use the GUI Configuration Assistant
which is bundled in the Oracle VM Server for SPARC zip file - see
    README.GUI for more details)
    Select an option for configuration:
    y) Yes, launch the Configuration Assistant after install
    n) No thanks, I will configure the system manually later
    Enter y or n [y]: n
Given the capabilities of the LDoms Manager, you can now change the
security configuration of this Solaris instance using the Solaris
    Security Toolkit.
Select a security profile from this list:
    a) Hardened Solaris configuration for LDoms (recommended)
    b) Standard Solaris configuration
    c) Your custom-defined Solaris security configuration profile
    Enter a, b, or c [a]: a
The changes made by selecting this option can be undone through the
Solaris Security Toolkit's undo feature. This can be done with the
    '/opt/SUNWjass/bin/jass-execute -u' command.
Verifying that all packages are fully installed. OK.

  • How do i install a missing driver?

i have a missing driver im not sure which one and i dont know how to find out.
how do i install this driver (where do i get it from)?
its a 4th gen ipod touch on ios 6.1.4 i think, i tried to restore it to a previous setting as it was freezing and kept crashing all the apps.

    See
iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows
    - I would start with
Removing and Reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows XP
    or
Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
However, after your remove the Apple software components also remove the iCloud Control Panel via Windows Programs and Features app in the Window Control Panel. Then reinstall all the Apple software components

  • Missing driver with windows 8.1 installing or restoring

    Hi all,
If I try to do a clean install of windows 8.1 the installation routine tells me helpfully that I am missing a media driver. The only way I could get round this was to create a USB bootablke disc and then add ALL the lenovo drivers that I have down loaded cfrom the lenovo site. This worked and it appeared to scan the USB drive and find whatever it was looking for. I'm still none the wiser as to what it was missing.
This problem is compounded when you try to restore from a backup image created in windows (I have a new drive and wanted to clone my old system). It finds the restore image on the external USB drive but can't seem to find the internal drive. This time however it won't scan a folder but wants me to provide the location of the actual INF file for the missing driver.
Can anyone help? I am assuming its the data/drive controller but I can't find it anywhere.
    Thanks

    hi Rolf,
You most tikely have the Seagate ST500LX005 SSHD.
just to verify, using this guide as a reference, are you getting stucked at Step 7? Also, is the SATA Mode set to AHCI under BIOS?
When you get the prompt to provide the location of the actual INF file for the missing driver, can you consider the following:
    1. Download the f6flpy-x64.zip file on either of the links below and extract it on a usb flashdrive.
    https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=22194
    https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=22676
    2. Before running the system image recovery, insert the usb flashdrive and locate the iAAHCIC.inf / iaStorAC.inf file on flashdrive and use this path when you get the prompt to provide the location of the missing driver.
    Regards

That’s simple enough. Uninstall Cisco Connect from your computer, and download and install the latest one from homesupport.cisco.com

  • Windows 7: grant one program permission to write to C drive root

I have one program we use on our domain which for some stupid reason wants to copy a file from wherever it is located to the C drive before it opens the file. It's very dumb the way the program is set up to have to do this. The program won't continue running
if it cannot copy the file to the C drive. If I run the program with administrator permissions, the program can copy the file to the C drive. If I run with user permissions, the program can't copy the file, because users can't write to the C drive. I want
    my users to stay users.
The vendor may fix it in a later version, but that may take some time, and the new version is going to have its own glitches. The program is essential for our business and we can't dump it and move to something else.
Is there a way to grant this one program to be able to write to the C drive root?
EDIT- to fellow googlers: The marked answers below would work for normal programs, and using Runas did work when I tried it on Notepad. But they did not work on the business program I was running. Something about the program won't allow it to run from another
account using Runas, and I can't edit the program to give it admin credentials from within.

    Hello RnGScottgus1,
Do you mean that you want to use other account to run this program as administrator?
Please take a look at the following thread similar to this issue.

    • Enable the built-in administrator account
    • Use the command runas /user:ComputerName\Administrator /savecred "Full path to program's exe file"

  • Why are my render files in my boot drive/root directory?

I have configured FCP to use an external drive for my Scratch Disk to render Video Capture, Audio Capture, Video Render and Audio Render as well as the Waveform Cache, Thumbnail Cache and Autosave Vault. Plenty of room on it and for the most part, I see a lot of render files on it, just like it should do.
However, if I leave FCP running for a while, it will start to auto-render again and does so placing tons of huge files on my local boot drive right on the root directory under a folder called "Render Files". It ends up filling up my boot drive every time and need to delete them.
I have searched everywhere to find where to configure this to move it to my scratch drive, but no joy.
How do I get FPC to render these files on a non-boot drive scratch disk?
    Thanks.

That's possible that's it going to sleep. But I don't think so. The problem happens when I let the editor sit too long without doing anything in it (get up for a cup of coffee, using another application to generate some text effects, etc). Then its starts rendering on its own and does so only with the local boot drive/root directory.
When it comes back, the "green line" (Preview Render) is gone and the lines are replaced with dark blue, which I think indicates the sequence was rendered in the highest possible res/codec I have selected. That's fine, but why does it insist on using the local drive when I have another specified?

  • Missing driver and "System Interrupts"

    Hello!
I found 2 problems on my brand new HP Pavilion 11-n070eg x360 :
    - In Device Manager, i have a missing driver und "Other Devices" (See screenshot). Tried to update / install, but dont know what it is. Also tried "Slim Drivers" to check for missing drivers, didnt find anything. Also HP Support Assistent doenst find missing software / drivers.
    - In Taskmanager there is a process called "System Interrupts" (See screenshot). It takes CPU power from 15%-30%.
It disappeared after a restart, but know its back after a while! I read online it has something to do with missing / corrupt drivers, so i hope there is a connection between my to problems.
    Name:           HP Pavilion 11-n070eg x360 ( Intel )
    Product ID:  00258-60101-73698-AAOEM
    Windows 8.1 x64 (everything up-to-date)
bought 2 weeks ago, not much installed. Standard Antivirus (Windows Defender), no Tuneup Software installed.
Thank you very much, i hope someone can help.

Then you will need to post the hardware ID for the unknown device, because I played my one guess card and lost.
Go to the device manager and click on the unknown device.
At the top of the Unknown Device window, click on the Details tab.
Now you see a Property drop down list and it is defaulted to Device Description.
Drop down on that list and select the second item (hardware ID's).
Post the top string of characters you see in the window.

  • M93z - missing driver in System update

Isn't this what you are looking for HERE? Drivers for the card reader show up in the matrix under "Camera/Card reader", there are also drivers for Windows 8 and 8.1.

  • Read this for CD/DVD Drive with burning, missing drives, not seeing discs

Seeing lots of the same posts with the same solutions being applied (mostly upper/lower control filters/MS Fixit)... so I thought I'd put this up for everyone.
*Update* If this helps, please click the kudos to the right as I'm trying to gauge how effective this is. If you have the time to help the community, please reply stating what did or did not work.
There are some helpful HP support articles that you may want to try before posting:
If your drive cannot burn discs... or you can burn CDs but not DVDs (or vise/versa)... read this...
Drive Cannot Write to Writable Discs (Windows 7)
Drive Cannot Write to Writable Discs (Windows Vista)
Drive Cannot Write to Writable Discs (Windows 98, ME, XP)
    Summary:
    1) Try different discs! Cheap discs can be hit or miss. Find a disc brand and type that works best.
    2) Try burning at a slower speed (not the best option, but can often get the job done if the laser is fading).
    3) Remove drive from Device Manager and remove upper/lower filters (see below).
    4) Use MS System Restore to go back to a time when it was working.
    5) Use PC-Doctor/HP Hardware Diagnostic software to check for a bad drive.
    6) If the drive is not bad - save your files and use HP Recovery to put the system back to the beginning.
If your drive cannot read discs; CDs or DVDs or both...

    1) See if the drive is listed in Device Manager (look for problems if it is).
    2) Check autoplay (skip if you don't use).
    3) Make sure a bad disc isn't knocking out the drive (an operating system mounts discs as drives and things can get screwed up).
    4) Try reading the disc from a command prompt environment (outside of Windows).
    5) Reinstall drive from Device Manager (if drive is listed). {I'd replace this with bigger process of remove upper/lower filters (see below)}.
    6) Use MS System Restore to go back to a time when it was working.
    7) Use PC-Doctor/HP Hardware Diagnostic software to check for a bad drive.

    2) Reset Power: Unplug power cord, press Power button for 10 seconds.
    3) Check power and data cables attached to the drive and look in the BIOS for the drive name.
    4) Remove upper/lower filters (see below).
    5) Reinstall burning software

Otherwise, here are the manual steps (overview):
    1) Uninstall the CD/DVD drive in Device Manager and DO NOT RESTART the computer.
    2) Uninstall your CD burning software (make sure you have the installation disc or you can resinstall from Start, Programs, PC Help and Tools, Recovery Manager (or Driver/Application Recovery). If you don't have the installation discs, skip this step - it might still work).
    3) Open the registry editor (Start -> Run -> enter Regedit) ... might want to make a backup of the registry at this point.
    4) Open the following keys:
     + HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
     + SYSTEM
+ CurrentControlSet (or the current control set with lowest number if that is all that is listed)
     + Control
     + Class
    5) Select 4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318. It has to be this exact key - make sure you can see the last numbers!!!
    6) Delete the UpperFilter and or the LowerFilters value in the right window if either exists.
    7) RESTART the computer - this step is important. Wait for Windows to find and install the CD/DVD drive you removed earlier.
    8) Reinstall your burning software and restart the computer again.

That's why you want to make a backup of the registry. If you didn't make a backup, use MS system restore to go back. The only values you should remove are UpperFilter or LowerFilter - one or both may be in there and can be removed. If neither value exists, then that is probably why you can't burn and Windows is not recognizing your drive as a writable drive.

  • G710 / Win8.1 Pro - missing driver Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Embedded Controller

Just complete installing Win 8.1 Pro on my new G710. I got this message - missing driver Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Embedded Controller. Some users said that it can be solved with "Power Management" Driver but this one doesn't in Win 8.1 list. One user said that PM driver made his computer to slow down. Other users said that it is "Radio switch HW" driver but it is not relevant to G laptop. Any idea what to do?

    hi
Yes this is the Detected device for Power Management.
This just allows you to control The system power distribution.
If you don't want to use Lenovo Power Management then that's just absolutely fine.
Windows has its own controls for power.
No need to wory about that ACPI\VEN_VPC&DEV_2004

  • MSI GE70 0NC - Missing driver HELP!

    Hi people,
So I have owned my notebook since september, and just recently (December time i think) I started to get the BSOD when checking the stop codes i found that the code was linked to the video card failing. I checked my drivers to see if any needed updating or where missing since i installed windows 7 and got rid of 8 as I use this notebook as a cad and rendering station for work. I noticed i have two missing drivers that windows cant automatically install. one is a PCI Device for PCI bus 2, device 0, function 0. ( PCI bus 0 and 1 are my Intel 4000 and GTX 660m display adapters). and the driver status says "The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28) There is no driver selected for the device information set or element. To find a driver for this device, click Update Driver." the next missing driver is labelled as unknown device and upon reading its properties gives me this location info on Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Embedded Controller with the same status as before. I have been on the MSI downloads for my notebook and have downloaded all drivers/ BIOS/ Firmware that i can, with no success.
Can anyone help me find these missing drivers to see if ths stops the BSOD because i really cba sending it to MSI for them to say it's a software issue and my fault for changing to windows 7.
    Thanks
    Callum

you may have some device with no drivers for it, this is because Win8 BIOS/EC has addiction airplane modes,
which can't be used under Windows7, but that's not a reasons for any BSODs
