G530 (4446-22G) unknown devices after Win7 installation

Hi,
I recently installed windows 7 ultimate 64-bit on my father's Lenovo G530 (4446-22G) laptop. In device manager I see 2 "base system devices" in yellow that are not recognized. Does anyone have any idea what those devices might be? I attach screenshot of the device manager both by type and connection.
Also, I installed the Energy Management for win7 64-bit but the Fn keys do not work. Any suggestions about this?
Thank you in advance.

  • Unknown devices after Vista installation on Satellite Pro U200

I installed vista ultimate yesterday, but unfortunately my U200 is not as vista compatible as the sticker would make me believe.
Non functioning items I've identified so far:
    - Speakers and Headphone jack
    - Function Keys
    - Fingerprint Reader
Almost none of the included toshiba software installs even after turning "Application control security off"
Does anyone know where I can get the new drivers and software or when they will become available?
Otherwise really liking Vista. It is very responsive and simplifies many tasks. It looks nice too, but thats not my priority.
    Any help gratefully received
    Cheers

This might help others having similar problems. I have been able to get evrything to work except my shortcut keys.

  • Several Unknown Devices after Windows 7 Home Premium Reinstall

After losing all my data trying to encrypt my hard drive I reinstalled windows from my hard drive using HP's settings in the boot menu and got some weird results. One is that my C drive now only only has 65 gb of space, so I created a new partition with the remaining 215 gb on my hard drive. Additionally, my screen resolution has only 2 options, leaving my desktop looking strange. The worst of these problems is that several of my hardware items are showing up as unknown in addition to my wireless internet not working. Would it be better for me to reinstall again or try and find the drivers?

  • Satellite A200 PSAE6E: Controller code 28 in device manager after Win7 installation

I have the same problem! I have an A200-PSAE6E with Windows 7. My device manager shows me a perfect SDA Standard Compliant SD Host Controller under SD host adapters. But it has a certain Mass Storage Controller, under Other Devices, and that one doesn't have a driver installed (code 28). I try to update it, but it doesn't find anything.
Here on Toshiba's website I can't find the drivers for the card reader either. I think it's Card Reader Controller (there is a Flash Card Support Utility, but I'm almost certain it's the other one)
There is a Card Reader Controller driver for Windows Vista 64, but my Windows 7 is 32. Do you think I should try that anyway? Do you think perhaps Toshiba won't even release a driver for that?

    > Here on Toshiba's website I can't find the drivers for the card reader either. I think it's Card Reader Controller (there is a Flash Card Support Utility, but I'm almost certain it's the other one)
If you would click on More Info which is on the right of the driver page, then you could find all details about the drivers.
The Flash Card Support Utility is not driver but utility (the name said everything) and this utility controls the FN buttons.
Visit the Toshiba European driver page and choose your notebook model.
Then try the Vista 32bit driver called Flash Media Driver (dont mix it with Flash Card Support Utility). The Flash Media Driver v 2.0.0.6 is for your Bridge Media Slot. This slot lets you insert either a SD card, Memory Stick (Pro) or xD picture card.

  • W530 - unknown device after installing windows 8.1

    Hi,

    Product: 244752U

Windows 8.1 - Installed from scratch.
I was able to install and configure all drivers but one. I found a tread that suggested installing Lenovo Setting Dependency Package 2.0.0.13 to fix it on a different lenovo model. I tried it without any success.
The driver id of unknown driver is "{48126E0D-4BDD-4D26-8A24-569C7AB522D6}\SettingsDriver"
    Google did not help.
    Any help is appreciated.

  • Unknown device after window 8 clean install

    Really need help.
I just upgraded my ideapad u310 ultrabook to windows 8, a clean upgrade.
    there is one unknow device:
    ACPI/VEN_AOA&DEV_2011 (details)
does anyone know what it is...
Plus, does anyone know how to get veriface, onekey recovery back?
    Thank you!!

You have to install the lenovo energy management driver
    Download from below
    http://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mobiles/em8.0.2.3.exe
However, the software for windows 8 may not work because of some issue from lenovo itself. So you can always use the onse for windows 7 if required. Test the windows 8 software first though.

  • Re: Satellite A200 - After Win7 installation SD card reader doesnt work

    Hello,
I have installed Windows 7 on my Satellite A200 and now cannot find my SD card reader.
Where can I find the driver for that?
I did not find it in the download section from Toshiba.
    Rob.

    Hi
The drivers for SD card reader is called Flash Media Driver.
The Flash Media Driver is for your Bridge Media Slot. This slot lets you insert either a SD card, Memory Stick (Pro) or xD picture card.
If such driver is not available for Win 7 then you should take the one released for Win Vista.
    Cheers

  • Unknown device in device manager after win8.1 upgrade W540

I'm using the W540 with an ultradock and external monitors. After upgrading my W540 to win8.1 64 bit, device manager is showing an unknown device. I'm not quite sure what it is, but almost everything seems to be working fine and Lenovo solution center isn't finding any driver updates.
I did notice that the solution center hardware scan did not test the video card memory and listed that test as N/A. Video and monitors seem to be working fine though and both nvidia and intel graphics show up in device manager.
Device manager lists the device in question as follows:
    Device instance path: ROOT\SYSTEM\0001
    Hardware Ids: root\iwdbus
    Device stack: \Driver\PnPManager

This seems to fix the problem.. any idea why?

  • Boot Camp Unknown devices

In XP's device manager in Boot Camp I get (5) unknown devices after installing the Mac drivers. (1) USB Human Interface Device, (1) PCI Device, (2) Unknown Devices, and (1) USB Device. What are they? Everything appears to be working here. See linked screenshot.
    http://userweb.suscom.net/~harryc56/snapshots/screen1.JPG

Well, your guess is as good as mine but I'd say we won't get 100% support until Leopard because it's being built into it.

  • Is Win7 installation possible on Satellite A100-551?

Satellite A100-551 with XP. Is it possible to pass in WINDOWS 7 ?
Because Microsoft does not make any more of supports on Windows xp and me advice (council) to put my PC in Windows 7.
Is it possible to make him(it)?

    Hi
Long time ago Ive made some experiments with my old Satellite M70 and Win7 installation and I was able to use it, of course with not all Toshiba specific tools and utilities but it worked pretty well
So in my opinion you should be able to install Win7 32bit on your old Satellite P100.
Ive checked Toshiba download page on http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp and your machine is supported for Vista so after Win7 installation try to install some Vista drivers. I hope most of them can be used with Win7 too.
Just test it. generally speaking there is nothing left to lose.
