G530 Touch sensitive volume control panel

After a quick reformat of my G530, the touch sensitive volume control panel (four black circular buttons in the upper right part above the keyboard) still works but the volume up/down buttons are in slow increments of 2% whereas before blue rectangular sound bars showed up on the screen when pressed and the sound increased by increments of 10%.
Where can I find the drivers for the touch sensitive volume control panel? I've looked everywhere but can't find them.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

  • [solved] Where did XFCE's volume control panel item go?

    I did an update recently and noticed that the volume control panel item disappeared.  So I went to add it again ... and it's not in the list!  I looked in the repos and there isn't a package for it either.  Where did it go?

  • My HP Pavilion Entertainment PC dv6 touch-operated volume control not working

    I have a HP Pavilion Entertainment PC dv6 and I was trying to use the volume control to turn up the volume but it isn't recognizing my touch, in other words, when I touch the volume control the volume isn't adjusting.  I have to manually do it by clicking the right hand corner volume control and adjusting it that way.
    What is wrong?  The rest of the laptop is working fine.
    Thanks for any help you can lend my way!

    Could you please give me the exact product number for your computer?

  • 1st Gen iPod Touch No Volume control

    The volume control in all apps and music just disappeared the other day, so I have no sound whatsoever. Didn't do anything different. The headphones are securely attached to the jack, I tried the "Reset all" option. Nada. What's next?

    Hi,
    Does "Reset All" include resetting your iPod?  Try here for resetting your iPod:  http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1430.
    Hope this helps!

  • T6060 Volume control problem

    Hi,
    I currently have T6060 speaker system. The volume contron in that system has some loose contact. Because of that one of the satellite speaker is not producing sound. If i touch the volume control it's producing. I'm still under warranty. But can i get a new volume control. Firvin

    Try inserting and removing your headphones 7 or 8 times. Also try cleaning out the jack in case any debris or fluff has built up in there.

  • Pavilion dv6 volume controls

    Hi,
    For some reason the volume control panel on my keyboard has stopped working - it is located above the keyboard, next to the power button.  The wireless adaptor button is in the same place and has also stopped working.  As far as I can tell there is no button to disable this part of the keyboard like there is for the touchpad, and I tried to do a troubleshoot of the keyboard but was told there is nothing wrong with it.  Has anyone got any ideas of how to fix this?
    Thanks,
    Abi

    Hi,
    This may be worth trying as the problem can be caused by a static build up in the bezel.  To see if this is the case, shut down the PC, remove the AC Adapter and then remove the battery.  Now hold the power button down for a good 30 seconds.  Replace the battery, plug in the AC Adapter and start the PC.
    Best wishes,

  • A505-S6014 Volume Controls

    Two questions:
    1.  Is it possible to turn off the sound the volume control panel makes on the laptop? (the beeping sound when turning the volume up/down, for example)
    2.  Is it possible to have the the volume control panel lit up but have other LED features (satellite logo, trackpad light) turned off?  Right now I have them all turned off as it was the only I could the Satellite logo and trackpad light off)
    Thanks in advance.

    I don't know exactly which settings that model supports, but you may find the lights here.
       Start > All Programs > TOSHIBA > Utilities > HWSetup > Illumination tab
    You may find the beep on one of those tabs too.

  • Computer restarts when cicking on volume control calibrat

    Hi
    When in volume control panel of my Audigy 2ZS. The channel test works fine. Then, when I try to calibrate the computer restarts. Any clues, as the machine also restarts now and then. I assume both events are linked?

    It should read Clicking, although Kicking might be the answer!

  • Gnome volume control 'jumping'

    Hello,
    When I try to control the volume in either Volume Control 2.22.0 or in the Volume Control panel applet in Gnome the volume 'jumps'. What I mean by this is when I try to move the slider slightly it behaves abnormally and 'jumps' around from muted, unmuted, or anywhere inbetween (sorry, not sure how else to explain it). If instead I use alsamixer instead to control the sound, the volume moves up/down without a problem. I'm using Alsa version 1.0.16 from www.alsa-project.org.

    same problem here. I noticed it the moment i restarted after upgradinig to 2.6.25 Kernel. What happens is (at least for me) the following [assume the volume is being 'increased' using Keyboard or GUI control.
    ->Vol at 40%
    ->Vol at 41%
    ->Vol at 42%... until
    ->Vol at 0%
    ->L at 1% R at 0%
    ->I go to Control app and notice for some reason L and R channels are now unlinked. So i link them back but i cant seem to get the volume up with it linked, the moment i do it goes back to about 0% for both and unlinks. So i moved them seperatley, it worked i have both at 50%, so i felt clever and linked it so i can use keyboard for control, and it went back to unlink+0%ish.
    And so on and so forth. U get this is a repeated loop. Once i use alsamixer in console (if channels are unlinked i find they are different volumes so i jst put them back together by maxing both, and now they are linked again) from then on i can change volume using alsamixer OR mplayer for instance (since volume control for mplayer is tied into the PCM volume (NOT Master)) in my case. Of course if i set 3D to post rather than pre PCM volume control becomes useless as always, so mplayer volume control does nothing but mere show. I jst have alsa on Vc/2 so i switch to it when i want to. It is ANNOYING can someone please help.

  • Dv6-1361sb Touch Sensitive Panel

    So I have a hp pavilion dv6-1361sb and had it for about 4-5 years. Recently I have had a problem with my laptop that I hope you guys can help me with. My Touch Sensitive Panel (Wifi, Mute and Volume Control) are not working. It seems like that it has been disable or something. I tried doing the plugging out the battery and doing a dry-startup thing. It did not work. I also formatted the hard drive and reinstalled the windows. It seem to help for a little bit until windows does an update and disable it. any thoughts Thanks?

    Hi,
    First, download the latest Synaptics driver installer on the link below and save it to your Downloads folder.
    http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp45001-45500/sp45019.exe
    Next, open windows Control Panel, open Programs and Features and if you see the entry 'Synaptics Pointing Device Driver', right click it and select Uninstall.
    If you did need to uninstall this, restart the notebook.
    When windows has fully reloaded, or if you didn't need to uninstall an existing Synaptics application, open your Downloads folder, right click the Synaptics installer and select 'Run as Administrator' to start the installation.  When this has completed, restart the notebook again.
    You should now find the settings you require if you open windows Control Panel, open Mouse, click the Device Settings tab and then click the settings button.
    Regards,

  • 1st Gen IPod Touch Volume Controls won't come up after a few minutes

    I've got a first gen IPod touch and ever since I upgraded to the OS 3 family I've had a problem where after a few minutes of playing a video, if I tap the screen to bring up the volume controls, nothing happens. If I tap the screen in the first few minutes, the controls come up fine but after a few minutes a screen tap does nothing. Returning to the home screen and re-launching the video player didn't work either. I was turning the unit off and back on to correct the problem but after reading that a new "feature" of OS 3 pertained to volume control and headphone detection I tried a new tactic. When the volume controls would not display, I unplugged my headphones (the video paused when I did this) and plugged the headphones back in and the volume controls display auto-magically and would appear on with a screen tap for a few minutes then I was back in the same situation. Is there anyway a setting could be created to disable headphone detection and the "features" that it brings? The headphones work fine when the volume controls won't display so it doesn't feel like a headphone problem. Thanks.
