Recently one of my Windows 2008 server was restored from system state backup, and below error appears before during startup, before logon screen:

I do not have recovery disk, also repair didn't work, any other solutions?
    Thanks.

    Hi Justin,
I would suggest you to use sfc to check if there is any systemfiles corrupted :
    1. boot from cd
    2.  sfc /scannow /offbootdir=X:\ /offwindir=Y:\windows (X  is boot partition , Y is windows system files partition )

  • CMDTUX_CAT:1685: ERROR: Application initialization failure

PeopleTools 8.19.04 requires an upgrade of tuxedo 6.5 patchlev ?? AND
Jolt, patchlev ?? . There are also some HP patches if you're moving
from tools 8.16 or below. We have successfully booted our BBLs on HP
with tools 8.19.04. Exact patch levels are in the release notes. If
problem continues, you might try PeopleSoft's Customer Connection.

    Kevin:
    1) You will get better Tuxedo help in tuxedo.general.
    2) Okay, Tuxedo 6.5 on HP-UX 11; show the output from
    tail $TUXDIR/udataobj/patchlev
    3) Fix the NLS problems with: export NLSPATH=$TUXDIR/locale/C
    { it might be NLS_PATH; I often forget which }
    4) It seems you are using PeopleSoft. The problem might lie in the PeopleSoft to Tuxedo
interface, whatever it is. I don't know where to direct you for that.

  • Red Rocket initialization failure

I started a new project this morning that would use Red R3D media and found the playback of 3K 2:1 R3D media quite choppy and then saw that a red X in the bottom right of Premiere CS 5.5.
    Event:  Rocket Initialization Failure
Unable to initialize the REDRocket(s).  1 requested, 0 initialized.  The SDK reports 1 should be available.
Device 0 returned status:  Old driver of firmware, driver available: 0.0.0.0 (1.3.5.0 required), firmware available 0.0.0.0 (1.1.10.1 required).
I am running driver 1.4.7.0 and firmware 1.1.14.38
RedCine-X v487 (Win7/64) sees the card and runs smoothly with it.  Windows7 control panel sees it (and the driver/firmware) just fine.
Any suggestions as to why Premiere 5.5.0 can't use the card?  Any help would be really appreciated, I need to get a jump on this job.
    FYI
    Win7/64  (all current patches applied)
    12Gb RAM
    GeForce GTX 480 with hack
    external eSATA RAID

    Bump.
Any Adobe folks reading this?  I've tried posting on Reduser as well without any replies.

  • Collection Server Initialization Failure

One of my collection servers will not initialize. The WinXP box was
replaced by a VMWare virtual WinXP machine and the ZAM 7.5 software was
installed on the new machine using the same name as the old server. I
installed the Task Server, Collection Server and the Collection client.
All of the services start and there are no errors in the event logs. The
manager shows the Task Server as running but the Collection server as
stopped. When I start the Collection server I get the errors shown
below. This is one of many Collection/Task Servers that I have setup
including some that have been replaced by virtual machines as this one
has been. All other Collection/Task Servers are running without error.
I'm willing to remove it from ZAM and re-install and have tried that
once to no avail. Any help is appreciated.

    Ajay,
Either you have forgotten to execute tmloadcf on your UBBCONFIG file or the
value of the TUXCONFIG environment variable is set to something different
than the value specified in the UBBCONFIG file.
In tmboot, the TUXCONFIG environment variable is set to
D:\bea\tuxedo9.1\samples\jot\ToUpper\tuxconfig , and tmboot cannot open this
    file.

  • Fileopen Initialization Failure(2)

I receently updated both Acrobat 8 standard and Adobe Reader 9 up to their latest versions.  Whenever I open a PDF with either product I get the following message
Fileopen Initialization Failure(2) you will not be able to open protected documents.  I am an admin on my system.  Anyone have an idea what is going on?  I searched the forums and did not find anything related to this issues.  Everything worked fine before patching.  OS is windows XP SP3  - no microsoft silverlight installed ( I found silverlight could casue much weirdness with Acrobat)

Somehow a version of the fileopen api that was 5 years old was installed in reader directory and the acrobat standard dir.  All I did was path the programs and wham error started.  I went to the fileopen site and the promptly solved my issue.
    Here is their solution
If  you aren’t concerned about opening documents using the plug-in you can remove it  by finding and deleting all instances of fOpen32.api; as I mentioned, that  plug-in was discontinued a long time ago (and our installer only dispenses the  current one).
Good job Bernd point me in the right direction
    Thanks

  • Remote Desktop disconnects immediately. Error 4005; Windows logon process has unexpectedly terminated.

Hi, I have always been able to remote into my pc (Win 8.1) using remote desktop. Just recently this stopped working. Either I get a blank screen for about 10 seconds and then it closes or the connection closes immediately. Every time this happens I get error
4005 in the event log; Windows logon process has unexpectedly terminated. It seems the remote desktop stopped working after the last set of Windows updates were applied. But no other web searches indicates anyone else has had this problem recently. I've also
read the Windows Server document or error 4005 which suggests my registry may be corrupt or a service may be stopped but this does not seem to apply to my situation. I'm stumped and without being able to remote into my pc from my office I can't do my job.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
UPDATE: After installing a new required Windows update and a bunch of optional Windows updates (that I had been ignoring), the problem has been fixed. I'm guessing which ever Windows update broke Remote Desktop was fixed in the latest update(s).

    Hi arzoo1,
So you have checked the steps mentioned in the article below?
Event ID 4005 — Windows Logon Availability
You may take a try with Dism /online /cleanup-image /resorehealth command and then check if issue insists.
For Windows Update related, please consider system restore or startup repair.
Try to boot into clean boot and then remote again to check if issue insists.
    Best regards

  • Re: win7 (prof edition) hd failure

    Just an update.
I believe some EVIL beings from some powerful organization has totally hijacked my Lenovo laptop.  Now the F1 key would not bring up the BIO setup menu, instead, it asked if I want to boot to Windows 7.  Windows update for .NET Framework 4 failed.  Previously I fixed.  Now it's gone again.
These [mod edit] despicable evil beings are most likely from a government.  An individual would not have such motivation.
Moderator note: This message regarding a hijack has been moved to Security & Malware from the original discussion: http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/R-and-L-Series-ThinkPad-Laptops/win7-prof-edition-hd-failure/td-p/123610...

    Hello,
My general rule of thumb when encountering these types of issues is to get on the phone with your anti-malware software vendor's technical support department.  They are likely best able to investigate and troubleshoot issues you think may be related to malware (whether from governments, criminal organizations or just garden-variety hackers).

    Hi,
Is ur PC running when the system is shut down?? if yes then u have to fix manually...The best practice is to finish off the loads before the system is shut down. Make sure that all the deltas are pulled before the system is down..
    try this for restarting PC
    /people/siegfried.szameitat/blog/2006/02/26/restarting-processchains
after cleaning up all the datatargets u can restart it as mentioned in the above link...

  • Unable to connect to Oracle Discover Application: ORB Initialization failure

We are running Discoverer 4.1.37 in a DMZ. Some of our internal users receive a "Unable to connect to Oracle Discoverer Application: ORB Initialization failure ..." error when trying to use Discoverer Plus. Our external users are able to connect using Discoverer Plus. We have SSL and Gatekeeper was configured with the machine's IP address (Exterior address), port 443 (exterior port), and exterior proxy address. Networking changes were made to enable users to use one web address instead of two (one for external and one for internal). Also, if I trying to use the machine's IP address in the web address, Discoverer just says "Loading" in the Discoverer Plus status box. If I use the one web address (originally, the external web address), I can log into Discoverer.

How are you trying to connect the database using JPA?
Has your datasource got bind successfully. You should check all these things first. If your datasource has not got binded then debug for that.
