Hi pallabmukherjee,
Thanks for posting. Just to confirm with you, when you say enabling the virtualisation. Do you mean enabling the Intel Virtual Technology? If you're aiming to do this you can do so by going into your BIOS.
Please see illustration below.
Hope this helps.

Enable virtualization
Hi,
I have a Pavilion DV7-2260ed. It has the Intel Core 2 Duo CPU T6600 @ 2.20GHz. It has hardware virtualization, but Virtual PC's detection application warns that the capability is disabled in the BIOS.
My BIOS does not have an option to enable it.
I have read on fora that the advanced options in the bios can be enabled. However, for this specific model there is no Flash file available.
What can I do?
Thank you,
KasperHi Lisa,
I think i have found out what the problem is. On these two sites, i found my answer.

Any solutions?
Thanks in advance,

In your case, it is not possible for you to enable Intel VT because the CPU does not support this feature. (Your dv7-2215eb has an Intel Core 2 Duo T6600.)
http://ark.intel.com/Products/VirtualizationTechnology
Processor Family Supports Intel® VT-x Supports Intel® EPT
Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor T6000 Series T6670 T6570 Yes No T6600 T6500 T6400No No
It seems that my T6600 Duo core processor is unable to support VT-x.
I do not have the enable Virtualization Technology option in my BIOS and also do not know how and if I can enable the advanced options. But now, I think it is not necessary anymore.
Thank you for your reply though.
kind regards,

U330 bios doesn't enable virtualization techonology mode?
Can any one from lenovo tell me why U330 bios doesn' t have virtualization technology enable?
My work MUST use the VMware. Can any one tell me how to enable it?
It 's very serious problem for me.

BoombalakaRicky119,
We can inquire further, but the IdeaPad product line does not support VT presently. As it is not marketed as specifically having this feature, this will likely be seen as a future requirement rather than a bug to fix.
Best regards,
Mark

How to enable virtualization technology
hello
I'm working on toshiba satellite L850-b404 laptop with intel i5-3210m processor which shows the intels' website that it supports virtualization technology
http://ark.intel.com/products/67355/Intel-Core-i5-3210M-Processor-3M-Cache-up-to-3_10-GHz-rPGA
Also virtualization technology is enabled in my bios settings.
But I can't run virtual machine properly I'm using virtual box and getting this message
"VT-x/AMD-V hardware acceleration is not available on your system. Certain guests (e.g. OS/2 and QNX) require this feature and will fail to boot without it."
Plus when i run intel (R) Processor Identification Utility it's shows me no next to virtualization technology
Any suggestions?

How to enable virtualization on Satelite Pro U200
Hi, I have satelite pro with Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU T5600 processor. I'm 100% sure, that it have virtualization support.
So the question is: Is there (or why not) any possibility to enable the virtualization in bios? I need to run 64b OSes under vmware server and for this is the virtualization needed. :(Hi
If virtualization option is not available in BIOS settings I am afraid there is no much to do.
Interesting discussion about Virtualization you can find under http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=18827&messageID=68756

MOVED: how to enable "Virtualization" for my PC?
This topic has been moved to Off-Topic Technical.
https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=135319.0Which CPU is installed?
That will etermine whether or not it is even an option in the BIOS.
The following images are from preproduction BIOSes and serve only as examples.
With an eligible Intel CPU it should be in the System Configuration menu in the BIOS.
With an eligible AMD processor it is called SVM (secure virtual machine) and it is also in the System Configuration menu of the BIOS.

I Want to Access BIOS on ThinkCentre M Series to enable virtualization
My Operating System is W-7 Pro and I want to install XP Mode, only I think I need virtualization enabled in the BIOS.
After powering up, the following don't give access to the BIOS:
F1
F2
Ctrl+ Alt + F3
Ctrl + Alt + Ins
F1 + F2
Does anyone know how to access the BIOS in this machine?
According to the Registry Key this computer has Lenovo BIOS Version 5JKT55AUS.
How to enable virtualization is another question, but first I want to get into the BIOS.
Thank you
Solved!
Go to Solution.Hello,
Thank you BiggAl (Guru) for responding. Sorry about the delay in my getting back, I am in school, hence little time.
You were 100% correct, once I connected a wired keyboard, F1 accessed the BIOS reliably.
Now my problem is that I don't see where in the BIOS to enable "virtualization" mode.
Can some one tell me how?
Thank you -
Enabling Virtualization on a 970A-G46?
I've been trying to figure out how to enable Virtualization.
My BIOS version is V1.11/20121031.
My CPU is a AMD FX-8120 (Which supports AMD-V).
I'm using the GUI Click Bios 2.
My goal is to run create and run a Linux Ubuntu VM using virtual box for development. Is it possible?
Got it. I'm dumb. I enabled IOMMU in click BIOS. Got to create the VM and it's installing UBUNTU. Works well - so far. We'll see how it runs. -

These fix a battery charging issue and have several other important fixes from previous updates rolled in. However, the real problem you will face is that the P7350 processor standard in that machine does not support virtualization.

Yes, thats the important model number.
According the Toshiba website your model has Intel Core2Duo T6600 CPU. So I have checked the Intel page directly and T6600 CPU doesnt support Intel Virtualization Technology (VT-x). You can check this yourself:

Unfortunately there is no option to enable Virtualization :(
