G570 - Some Intel drivers aren't updating - Need Help

I have the G570 Notebook. Due to numerous BSODs I am attempting to update all drivers listed at the Lenovo download drivers site.
When I updated the Intel Chipset Driver with version 9.20.1019 it said it was successful, but the Device Manager shows version 9.20.1015.
When I updated the Intel Management Engine with version 7.0..0.1144 it said it was successful but the Device Manager shows version 7.0.0.1118.
Windows Update shows an optional Thinkpad Display driver for my computer. I have a Lenovo Essential G570. Is this for my computer - I don't think so since my notebook is not a Thinkpad.
Other updates that I applied did show as updated in the Device manager.
I would appreciate some advice about all of this. Thank you.

Thank you for your advice on the include subfolders. I decided to try this out on the Intel Management Engine Interface driver.
I turned off my anti-virus and followed all of your steps to update from the device manager. I pointed it to the C\Intel Management Interface folder. I got this message:
"The best driver software for your device is already installed. Windows has determined the driver software for your device is up to date." So I closed the Window..
I don't understand this, but I'm hoping Windows is correct.
I didn't try the Intel Chipset driver at this time, but previously I had gone to the Intel Driver Download site where it examines your system and it didn't complain about my chipset version, It said "this version is valid".
I will leave well enough alone for now. Again, thank you for your help. You will hear from me if I get another bsod.
EDIT: I forgot to mention that when I previously attempted to update the Chipset Driver and the Intel Management Engine, the Windows Program Compatibility Assistant popped up and said "This program may not have installed correctly" I had it reinstall using recommended settings and told it to overwrite the files - I sat there for 35 minutes and finally rebooted the computer and shut it down again and saw no files were updated. A few days later I attempted the Chipset again and is said it was successfully installed but did not ask to reboot and driver version remained the same. When the Program compatibility came up for the Intel Management I told it it installed properly - it never asked for a reboot either, although I did.....I'm just giving this for additional information.

My 2006 MacBook Pro and my 2011 MacBook Air both do it. It happens because the earth ground stops at the power brick and is not carried through to the case of the machine. It is not dangerous or the machine would not have been UL approved.
Since I operate on battery 99.9999% of the time it doesn't bother me at all.

Can't update new software update need HELP

Ok I got the Jan software update and well I just know really how to just install it. I red someone's post here but it's just not clear on how to do it. Is there someone that can tell me in a clear way the steps to do it please. I know he said to do a folder called "Mobile Applications" and to put the downloaded file (iPod touch App Pack 4A93.ipa) in it, so I did it and I put it in the iTunes folder in my "Music" folder, I pressed Sync and no software appear. So I just need help with this please!!!!!!

Satellite Z30-A-1E9 Drivers and Sofware Updates needed

Hello Folks!
I accidently installed a Windows V-Touch server on my Pre-installed windows on the Toshiba Ultra Book. I reinstalled the windows but now all of the drivers are missing. Could someone help me out with the drivers, is there any kind of driver management tool. Also I remember there was a Toshiba utility manager from where software was found and updated via that tool not sure if that was the name of the tool but it was in the tray of windows. From where could I download all the drivers and software so my Toshiba machine could work as good as before?

On Toshiba notebooks you can find a preinstalled tool called Toshiba Service Station.
This software notifies you about the driver updates…

Botched Update Need Help PLEASE!

Last week an Auto-Update failed and when I went to restart I got the forever loading screen. So after several minutes I started up in single user mode and I received the infamous:
Load of /sbin/launchd failed, errno 88
I have found discussions on the matter on random internet boards and blogs pretaining to ealier versions but nothing here yet. I'm not too Terminal "Bash" Savy but here was my attempt.
I downloaded what I thought would be the latest update that was botched onto a Flash Drive MacOSXUpdCombo10.4.11Intel.dmg. The goal of course was to install manually as other Mac owners had been successful with this approach. I did have a problem with identifying my Hard Drive. I would get the message: "/Volumes/Macintosh HD does not exist." I tried several approaches including /Volumes/Macintosh\ HD/.
I also noticed when I ran System Profiler that *My Disk Utility is 10.5.8 Last modified 8/20/06*... Again, I'm no expert but it is my understanding that 10.5.8 is Leopard, right? So... how is that possible? And what should be my course of action from here?

01. You have posted your 'Tiger' problem to an AppleScript programmers' discussion group. The appropriate group would be the 'Tiger' discussion group.
02. An experienced Macintosh user knows not to use the 'auto-install' feature (particularly with respect to a Security or System Update); but, to download the update(s), and manually install it / them. With respect to a System Update - download and install only the 'Combo Update' ('Mac OS X 10.4.11 Combo Update (Intel)' in your situation), with one exception - when updating to 'Mac OS X 10.x.1', where there will be no 'Combo Update' equivalent.

If you have data to be backed up - you will need another Mac, a Firewire cable, and to follow these 'Firewire Target mode' instructions; then copy your data to the other Mac.
Whether you follow the above step (if needed to back up data) or not, boot from the provided install disc and perform an 'Erase and Install' installation. Once completed, obtain (that is - down first) the needed / preferred updates - and then install them. A suggestion - if 'QuickTime' and 'iTunes' are among the updates - install 'QuickTime' first, then 'iTunes'.
Finally, return the backed up data to your Mac.
Note: You can use the 'Apple, Software Update...' menu item, to launch 'Software Update' to obtain a list of Apple's suggested updates. From here you download the suggested / preferred updates via the applications 'Update, Download Only' menu item. The downloaded file(s) will be saved to the '/Library/Packages/' folder.
If among the list you see only 'Mac OS X 10.4.11 Update (Intel)' - remove its check mark, so as not to have it downloaded. Instead, click here - to view the web page from which 'Mac OS X 10.4.11 Combo Update (Intel)' can be downloaded from.
Recent 'Software Update' observation:
When performing the suggested 'Software Update' steps above, with a PowerPC G4 dual 500 MHz PowerMac - running MacOS X 10.4.11, the application listed 'Java 1.3.1 and 1.4.2 Release 2', 'iTunes Phone Driver', 'iPhoto Update', 'QuickTime', and 'Compatibility Update for QuickTime' as the needed updates. I choose to download, not auto install, the updates. The result was four (4) of the '.pkg' files saved to the Mac's '/Library/Packages/' folder, with an alert box stating 'Some of the checked updates couldn't be downloaded. The digital signature for this package is incorrect. The package may have been tampered with or corrupted since being signed by "Apple"' - with respect to the 'QuickTime' update.
Wow, Apple's 'Software Update' application checked my system installation, talked home, suggested a list, and then reported a failure! Go figure. One could only imagine what may have happened - if the updates were allowed to be auto installed.
P.S. After the first four (4) updates were successfully downloaded, I attempted to download only the 'QuickTime' update. It too was then successfully downloaded. Rhetorical questions: Should I then trust the 'QuickTime' download?, or any of the downloads recommended by 'Software Update'?
Final note: Typically, one does not have to download (and install) the latest updates, at the time of release, or at any time; unless an application or an update requires the installation of another update - prior to its installation and usage.

Pix and Videos gone after update - need help please.

Hi all,
I upgraded to the new OS2 and loved it... no problems there. When I tried to connect and pull pictures off via my PC, I got a message Blackberry Desktop software could not connect. I tried it multiple times after restarting the Playbook but would not connect. It connected and advised I needed to upgrade my software which I did, but when I started the Playbook after the install it was like it was brandnew out of the box. Had to go through the tutorial and then I was shocked to find all my pictures and videos were gone. I don'r care about the videos but had some really important (to me at least) pictures I wanted off of it.
Sooooo.... any chance of recovering those or does the updates just "Blow" everything away? I will never use my Playbook to take any pictures or video of anything again and guess I learned a painful lesson.

Bootcamp partion lost after OS X update, Need help repair my disk.

After updating to Yousimiti yesterday, i encountered som problems with my bootcamp partion.
I wasn't able to boot from the partion. I googled a lot, and found some posts, where the problem was resolved, and followed the following steps:

After this i was able to boot form my Drive, but it tells me: "Operating system missing".
Then i started investigating further i saw that my bootcamp partion now only is 60GB, where before it was 100GB.
When i first made my Bootcamp i made it 60GB which i fast found out was not enough for the programs i needed, so i used a program on windows to expand the patron, from empty space on the disk. Now i have 40GB blokced space, and the 60GB Bootcamp.
From what i have read the problem is that Windows and OS X does not use the same Data table format.
Is it possible to Rewrite the datable, os that OS X knows that the Windows part is 100GB and not only 60?

BBM icon missing after update. need help asap please

Hi I'm using a bb bold 9780 and my bbm is 5.0.1.45 and when I tried updating it, it hangs whenever it finishes installing. And when I tired a battery pull, my bbm icon goes missing. Any idea how to solve this issue? Could really need some help here cos its quite impt. Thank you in advance

When you get a chance, do a battery pull. When the red light goes away on the front of the phone, hold down the back button the entire time while the phone is booting up. When the boot is complete, the phone will enter safe mode.

Logic express 7.2.0 update. need help!

anybody know where I can find the 7.2.0 update? I've been stuck on the 7.1.1 version for awhile and have been trying to find the 7.2.0 with no luck. Its not even on the support site. MacBook crashing every so often with a some sort of memory leak? Need help to pinpoint cause.

I've only owned this Macbook for about 4 months now and it has started giving me this save memory leak issue every so often. I am not 100% sure if this is the proper place to post this kind of stuff, but I've tried to uninstall some things that I've added in the last month (which is when it started). No luck.
Can anyone tell what it might be just by looking?

I'm sorry to have conveyed that impression. I do very much like EtreCheck, but it is completely misused by too many people who seem to think it's the answer to all problems. If is excellent for what it does. I helped beta test it for the developer. But it's a tool best used when a helper specifically asks for it when it is needed. That isn't for kernel panics. It may well be that some software can cause the panic, but the panic itself is generally in hardware. You can see that in the first few lines of the report. I urge you to learn more about them:

You will find a wealth of information about panics in the above references. There are many panic reports that simply don't give us any clues as to their root cause. They can be frustrating to deal with. But when someone is having a kernel panic EtreCheck is simply not the tool you whip out first or even second.

SCCM Clients stuck downloaded Windows Updates(Need Help)

I am using SCCM 2007 software update for my site. I created a deployment for windows XP patches and it applied successfully on the collection. But now i am seeing in Enforcement states for a deployment, Clients are stuck "downloaded Update(s)" stage,
I have check client logs also but does not find any error.
Can any one help me out over this

Kindly stop trying to bump your post by entering information that doesn't help anyone. On the client side what does it look like. Does the patch say failed when it installs? Do the client even see anything. You can stop the Windows
Update service. Delete the software distribution folder and restart it and it should recreate the folder and attempt to download the patches again and install. Remember the community is here to help when possible. By your posts I assume this
is an emergency so you might want to contact CSS, searching the internet or find a private consultant that could help you faster than we could. Sometimes there just isn't enough information for us to fix a problem. I have seen this problem

Windows update is messed up
WMI issue
Patch downloaded is corrupt. Delete the cache folder and see if the client will retry
Machine simply needs a reboot and it will complete whatever it is doing, retry and install
Client needs to be repair
Take a step back from the problem and write down some problems/solutions so you can track what you are doing and so you can find a direction.

Recent update - NEED HELP!!

I have recently updated my ipod and itunes and all of my music was lost on the ipod. I have tried to sync it multiple times and it adds the songs but only 1/4 of the music is actually able to play (the rest show up light gray). What do I need to do?
I added two new cds on my itunes yesterday and they show up on my ipod but they are light gray and will not play.

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Unsync all music and resync
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.

ITunes and Quicktime Error after automatice Apple update, need help!!!

So I currently have a new labtop with windows vista. I have been runining iTunes for the pass 3 months already no problems. The Apple automatic update has never caused any problems till now. Quicktime needed to be updated today, and I accecpted the update, prior to that iTunes and Quicktime was working properly. Once the quicktime update was complete, it restarted my computer like usual. Then when I tried to open iTunes this error came up:
"iTunes cannot run because it has detected a problem with your audio configuration"
Now I checked the audio configuration and nothing was changed or anything, that has not been touched at all, so I still think it had to do with the update. The next error was came up when I tried to open Quicktime and it read:
"Runtime Error!
Program C://ProgramFiles/QuickTime/QuickTimePlayer.exe
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information"
So as long as I have been using Quicktime and iTunes I have never encountered this, I tried to re-install but the error kept coming up after it was installed. Please help me out!
