G570 with AMD graphics problem

Hello
I have a problem with my Lenovo G570 laptop with AMD HD 6730M graphics card. There were some problems with it almost from begining, but bearable so I managed to live with it (some BSODs during games, or just from nothing and screen turning black). I have never found the answer for those, so I was just installing latest graphics drivers from AMD site (those on Lenovo site I have never managed to finish installation). And those new driver was quiet good, they havent stop BSODs but when screen disappeared, they was able to restore it without computer reset, so i worked with them through about 2 years. But now after one BSOD my laptop screen couldnt turn on when I started laptop ;/ but system was working. So I used external monitor to see whats happening and after loading Windows 7 there was always BSOD, also some strange vertical red signs showed on the screen (like plenty of red letters "S" or "C"). BSODs was usually coused by atikmpag.sys file so I went to emergency mode and uninstalled GPU drivers which seemed to solve the problem, couse laptop screen came back and Win7 started on normal mode, then I installed drivers back. It was working about 2 weeks and then crashed again and latest solution wasnt working this time. I tried also disc C format and installing old drivers from Lenovo site but with no satisfying results. I managed to wake up the screen by holding starting button 30sec with no energy source, then turning on with AC adapter, but with drivers installed there are still BSODs on wn7 start, but sometimes win7 starts and then GPU keeps reseting with strange screen defects. There was also some starts when win7 was working perfectly but after turning off it crashed again.
I know that this problem is quite complicated, but it has moments when  works totally normal, so I dont know is it all I could do myself or maybe there is any solution? In other case I'll go to service ;/

which mac mini should i go for: the one with AMD graphic card or Intel. I meanly going to use this for hometheater and HD movies.

Intel HD 3000 graphics card can easily handle HD movies up to 1080p. But if you are looking at higher resolutions possibly 4k or 8k that are being released this summer in new TV's, I would go with the AMD card. The AMD card would be good for video and picture applications and also games. But if this is strictly to power your 1080p home theater setup then the choice is obviously the Intel HD 3000.

  • Windows 8.1 Amd graphics problem

Hello , as the title explains i got some problems with my amd graphics and i googled it but didn't find any solution
The problem is : for an example crysis 3 pc game  this game i was able to play it on ultra graphics on windows 8 but when i upgraded the windows to 8.1 i play it on medium and it half lagging i thought that iam working on the intel card and the amd card is ignored by the pc i thought that the problem can be solved by installing  8 and work on it until it's fixed
my laptop version is : hp pavillion g6 2347
on windows 8 the graphics works perfect
on windows 8.1 the amd is ignored like it isn't  installed
    help me with it please

    Hi brave_heart,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
I see you are having an issue getting your dual Graphics cards to work on your HP Pavilion g6-2347 Notebook PC. I will try my best to help you resolve this.
Here is a document for Overview of Switchable Graphics or Dual GPUs that explains how they work and how to find out what has been installed in your computer. Once you know exactly what is installed you can follow the document for setting up the dual graphics for best functionally.
I hope this information helps, please let me know how it goes.

  • Hp m6 laptop- amd graphics problem

i own the hp m6 with the i5 processor and amd graphics card and i started getting problems with my graphics card, when i first got the laptop it worked fine, i installed the catalyst controller centre and it worked but the laptop had something wrong with the hardware so i sent back to best buy for a repair and now when i boot up my pc i get a message sayiing
"no amd graphics driver is installed, or the amd driver is not functioning properly. please install the amd driver appropriate for your amd hardware" so i already dowloaded the driver from hp and nothing changed then i checked the amd site and downloaded the catalys control center again but it didnt work, i already downloaded the amd program that tells you what drivers you need and it gave me some which i downloaded but it still didnt work. Can anyone help me with this?

By chance, have you tried performing a full system recovery?
After all that has been done, it seems that would be the next step and would rule out the hardware. I really don't suspect it's hardware at this point as I would suspect there would be other symptoms to go along with failed hardware.
If you do a recovery, make sure to backup your files first.
    Power off the notebook.
    Power on the notebook.
Press F11 about once a second to perform a recovery.
    Let me know what happens.

  • Stange display with CS4 - Graphic problem

    Hi,
I installed the trial version of Photoshop CS4. I have, however, a strange problem. All images are displayed like in my uploaded picture. I am sure that my graphic driver has the latest updates, and I have never encountert any problem with my system or with previous versions of Photoshop. What's going on here. My color profile is at default (North Am. General Purposes) and the Color managment is turned off.
    Patrick

You need to update to Version 11.0.1
And update you video card drivers.
Also it looks as if you have the grid turned on.
Further information that would be helpful would include:
    OS version
    system specs, video card
    scratch disk size

  • GT780 with AMD graphics card

    Hi,
is the GT780 laptop that originally came with a GTX560M compatible with any AMD GPUs, specifically the HD5870M? I have one installed replacing the GTX560M thats broken and the laptop doesnt seem to pay nicely with it. The big issue is that Ive lost the ability to adjust screen brightness.
    Cheers.

The GT780 is a bit different. It didn't have an 'integrated GPU' and a 'dedicated GPU' like the newer GT and GE series laptops do.
Because of this, the GT780 should work with an AMD/ATI card just fine to be perfectly honest.
The things you're 'having problems with' were particular to the NVidia card I believe, since it was actually controlled via SCM. This would have had to interface with the NVidia driver. Now that you're using an AMD/ATI card, SCM can't do the same things it did before because the hooks to work with the NVidia drivers won't work with the AMD/ATI drivers. For instance, the brightness probably won't work because of the settings it has to change. BUT I'm willing to bet if you use the FN+(whatever) keys to change brightness it will work.
The P1 button was a 'turbo mode' for the GPU, specifically for NVidia based cards. This will not work with an AMD based card.
The movie clip button probably changed the video profile being used in the GPU drivers and again, since you're not using the NVidia drivers anymore that button will no longer function.
Basically, what I'm trying to say is all the buttons you're having problems with had hooks that linked into the NVidia drivers and won't work with the AMD/ATI drivers.
If you aren't having issues with games and anything else, I'd just be happy that it works and you can play games.

  • Mega 651 with 7600gs graphic problem...

after some research in the forum i finally decided to get myself upgrade for gigabyte 7600gs agp and 1 gb ddr pc3200(2x512mb elixir pair match)...
here is the problem comes... the card work flawless in window (even in windows vista RC2 with AERO)... but when come to gaming, it starts giving Visual artifacts after few minutes of game loads (every game that i had, HL2, warhammer 40k, NFS:MW... start off fine but only for 1~2 mins before the game crashes) , i never had any problem with my old FX5200 with these games.
my PSU was fsp250-60ms (replacement of  my original 1), and as far as i know 7600gs consume less power than 6600gt so i assume the power requirement isn't the issue... to proof that, i even connect the card with a spare PSU i had externally and the problem remains. i even disable AGP fast write and increase AGP appreture to 256 in bios option... memory CAS is set to 2.5T
    please i need help....

thanks for the fast reply guys...
to Stu: i would do if i could, unfortunately most of my friend owns laptops, even those with desktop they uses PCI-e, they keep teasing me about my upgrade now...
to Kane81: i have a blower sitting beside the card and when i do the test i take the case off... i had my pc on for hours (watching movies, some office work etc) without problem...
i browse through Nvidia forum and found that there is some compatibility issue between SIS base board with 6600gt agp (artifacts, ramdom crashes... similiar to my case)... thus i tried the methods provided by them (upgrading agp driver, disable fastwrite etc) and still doesn't help...
any other have experiance like this before with  6600gt in their megapc series? if do, how would you solve this matter... ur experiance might be valuable to me... please help....
p/s: i got my card (brand New) from ebay (i check the box, is never been open, never been used before when i receive it), is there anyway to contact gigabyte about the warranty issue?

  • HP Probook 4540s (H6D81ES) AMD graphic problem!

    Hello,
I have installed the AMD Video Driver and Control Panel but I still can't find anything related to that video card! and my dedicated video memory is still 32mb!! There is any way to increase it or something?? Also how is it possible that I could play Watch Dogs which requires 1gb video ram while I have only 32mb !!
    This question was solved.

    Hi:
Your specific 4540s product number H6D81ES only has the onboard Intel graphics adapter.  It does not have the AMD/Intel switchable grahpics according to this spec sheet I found online.

I'm trying to draw a right triangle using turtle graphics, but I keep getting an error that says "incompatible types"(In class NewShape where it says "Pen p = new StandardPen();"). I have an idea of what that means generally, but I can't figure out why it is coming. Also, I'm not certain that my program will work because I have not yet been able to successfully run it (because of the error) so if you see anything else wrong please point it out.

  • Switchable Graphic Problem AMD & Windows 8.1- Solved

    Follow the steps accurately
    1. Open This Pc or My Computer and then go to Uninstall or change a program
    2. As the list is displayed, you will see Intel Graphic Driver & AMD Catalyst install manager. You have to uninstall it both in express mode so that no other previous setting are available anymore.
    3. First, uninstall Intel Graphics driver. If it asks for a restarting the pc than go for it.
    4. As the list is displayed, you will see AMD Catalyst install manager, right click it and uninstall it in express mode. Uninstall all the AMD component. Restart your PC as it will ask you.
    5. Go to This Pc or My Computer and then C Drive. Open Program Files & Program Files (x86) both of them if you are running 64-bit Os. In the search box write AMD and you will find some remaining files- delete them all.
    6. Now you PC is free of previous drives and the remaining files. Although right click to Windows sign and go to Device Manager. You will see Display adapters and uninstall them both. This step is not necessary but just to be sure that your PC has no previously installed drivers.
    7. Open your browser and download the latest Intel Graphics Driver for your PC. My driver was Win64_153322. Install it. If you install it correctly than you are half way through. Restart your PC if it requires.
    8. Go to AMD web site and download the latest driver. To avoid complicacy best option is to download Autodetect. Because it will choose the best appropriate driver for your system. File name is amddriverdownloader.
    9.  Open the file amddriverdownloader and download the driver. Download will be completed and it will start automatically the installation. Install it in express mode. Restart your PC as it will ask you to do it.
    10. Hopefully your driver problems will be solved. To check it go to device manager and see if the drivers are installed correctly. Turn on CCC and give it a try to play a game in High Performance. You will see the problem is solved.
This is how I solved my AMD graphics problem. I been suffering since I installed Windows 8.1 just after it was released and today 15 Jun 14 I solved the issue. I can play any game in High performance now.
If you think my opinion is helpful to you than Please share it.

  • AMD graphic card not working

    Hello,
    first sorry for my english,
    second here are my specifications:
    Intel i5 2430m 2,4 GHz
    8 GB RAM
SSD Samsung 850 EVO 250 GB and HDD Seagate 750 GB
    AMD Radeon hd 6490m
    Here is the problem:
two weeks ago i bought new ssd Samsung 850 EVO and HDD caddy. I switched original hdd to caddy and ssd to the place where hdd was before. I installed windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit to ssd, i istalled the latest drivers, but i have problems with AMD graphic driver.
When i start, for exp. Battlefield 3, windows crash and i get blue screen with note, that i have low IOH (NB) voltage (code 0x116). But when i uninstall driver for AMD and run the game on Intel HD 3000 graphic it runs perfectly.
Is it posible, that extra disc need power for working and use the power, which is used for AMD graphic card and that causes AMD for not working?
Sometimes i dont get blue screen, but i get note from windows: AMD driver stopped working and has been recovered Now i am using only intel graphics
    Greets

Hi: See if this one works...it has a different file number and is from the dv4-3200tx which has basically the same hardware as yours does. This package provides the AMD High-Definition (HD) Graphics Driver and Catalyst Control Center for supported notebook models that are running a supported operating system. For notebooks with switchable graphics modes, this package includes drivers for both graphics processing units (GPUs). Switchable graphics enable users to switch between a power-saving graphics mode (normally used under battery power) and a high-performance graphics mode. If high-definition multimedia interface (HDMI) video output is supported, this package also installs the HDMI Audio Driver. File name: sp52929.exe

  • AMD graphics acceleration questions

    Hi!
I'm planing to buy of new laptop. I found some interesting options, but with AMD graphics. I want to stuck with CS6, and I want to know, is there any way to use AMD graphics for Mercury Playback Engine? I hope there's a way...
If I will have to move to CC (that's what I really don't want to do, but...) how can I understand will PP and AE support it or not?
The cards are AMD Radeon HD 7670M and AMD Radeon HD 8670M

I have been looking in to this myself and the conventional knowledge is NVIDIA however on delving a little deeper I have found that is not the case. Admittedly when the Mecury Playback Engine (MPE) was first developed it only supported CUDA which is ofcourse NVIDIA technology however, over the past two years AMD have been working closely with Adobe to get their technology working with Adobe products: And apparently now the MPE supports OpenCL and OpenGL:  http://sites.amd.com/us/business/software-partners/adobe/Pages/adobe-solutions.aspx the opensource answer to CUDA that the whole industry is moving towards.
Finally I looked at some side by side comparisons of the 780Ti and the R9 290X http://www.anandtech.com/show/7492/the-geforce-gtx-780-ti-review/14 and, OK it is in Sony Vegas but, the video render times are significantly faster! Infact the R9 is faster in most catagories. At the moment CUDA support is more mature but I think the future is with OpenCL and OpenGL which is why I plumped for the cheaper R9 290X.

  • Problems with AMD A8-6410 APU with ATI AMD Radeon R5 Graphics

    Hi.
I have problems with the graphics card driver Ati Radeon R5. I have a HP 15 - g012dx , from one moment to another , the driver stopped working. I have to disable this driver for the video work properly. I installed the drivers that brings the HP Recovery Manager:
    * AMD HD Graphisc Driver:
    -version 13.351.1105.1001
    -version 13.351.1105.1005
Prove also unsuccessfully with these drivers :
    * amd - catalyst- 14.7 - rc3 -windows- aug12
    * amd - catalyst- 15.3beta - 64bit - win8.1 - mar20
    * sp67327
    * sp69615
PLEASE help me to resolve this problem
    thanks
    DISABLE DRIVER (VIDEO REGULAR)
    ACTIVE DRIVER (VIDEO PROBLEMS)

Install the driver that is available either by download from the HP support portal download section or the HP Recovery manager. You can access the Recovery Manager while logged into Windows or by booting to the usb recovery media you should have created by now.
Try the following HP graphics softpaq version 13.152.1.3000. The HP softpaq will also reinstall the notebook's chipset drivers.
    http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp64001-64500/sp64482.exeversion
Do not install drivers from AMD.
If you read the fine print at AMD, you will find that AMD cautions you that it is best to use the notebook manufacturer's drivers.
