G580(20150) CPU 100%

Video card started to overheat and slow down after BIOS update.
Need to downgrade BIOS (older than April 24 2013), but lenovo.com contains only latest BIOS version.
Lenovo G580 20150.After upgrading to v9.01 video card voltage has grown. In games or apps like Photoshop or other apps, which work with graphics temperature of video card grows to 100-105 celsius degrees. And performance has declined. Before BIOS upgrade max temperature was around 75 degrees and performance was almost twice as. And now I need older bios, but I can't find it. =(

CPU 100% When Playing Minecraft iMac
Hi There!
As the title says, "CPU 100% When Playing Minecraft". Every time I boot up Minecraft the Fan becomes loud. I have another iMac (Late 2013) Model and it runs Minecraft fine with all the same settings. So I don't really no what to do. But if you could help me try to get the CPU usage down or maybe turn the fan down? Or something like that that would be great!!
My iMac Specs.
Mac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2014)
Processor: 4 GHz Intel Core i7
Memory: 32 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Graphics: AMD Radeon R9 M295X 4096 MB
So Yeah, if you could give me a hand, I would be so much appreciated!
Thanks!Firefox 3.6.6 Windows XP - often goes to 80-100% CPU even with only one tab open (in this case the one I'm writing this message on). When this happens the only cure is to kill it with task manager and start again.

G580 20150 problem game automatically shut down
Dear Lenovo Community!
I have bought my Lenovo G580 (20150) this summer, and ever since, I have been facing an annoying problem. When I try to play a game (regardless of its system requirements), after a few minutes, the laptop shuts down suddenly automatically without any previous warning or explanation after rebooting. I have already tried World of warplanes, Empire Total War and the new Tombraider as well, but the result is the same. However, there is no lagging even on medium-high settings. Besides, the laptop works fine without problems when I use other non-gameing programmes.
I sent it back to a local laptop service (I have bought from them), but they said that they didn't manage to find any problem.
What should I do? Please, help me.
Best regards
PS: I am not a native speaker, so If I was not clear, please let me know and I will try to explain it better.Ah, I forgot to mention that I use win 8 x64, it may be important.

G580 (20150) Brightness Hot key Problem
Hello there guys!
I'm experiencing some problems after the lenovo support techs changed the hard drive of my 4-month G580(20150) laptop. It seemed that they didn't get to install some drivers concerning sound, wlan etc. but i did manage to do this by myself.
The only issue i didn't solve was the Hotkey concerning the Brightness(Although the Fn+Sound was automatically solved when i downloaded the sound drivers).I've read similar problems from other users and followed the steps by unistalling the Lenovo Energy Management, restarting and istalling the LEM v 8.0.2.5 again but nothing.Problem still there.
Any ideas about it??
Thanks in advance
Solved!

G580 (20150) Brightnes only two different settings 1 win 8.1
I have a g580 (20150) and i´m using win 8.1. I have a similar problem. My brightness-controls via the fn-buttons work, like every other fn-shortcut, but there are only 2 brightness settings working. i have either very bright or less bright. every other step in between does not work. before i reinstalled i had like 12 different brightness-steps from very bright to almost completely dark. even if i use the windows brightness-settings i have only these two brightness-levels...**bleep**...i have installed all drivers from the lenovo page including intel drivers, nvidia drivers and energy manangement and also the newest drivers from intel and newest energy management drivers. i have always only 2 brightness-levels. adaptive brightness is switched off. help please...
Hi Me22,
Welcome to Lenovo Community!
As per the query we understood that you are facing issue with brightness in your G580 laptop.
To change the display brightness on a laptop
Open Power Options by clicking the Start button , clicking Control Panel, clicking System and Security, and then clicking Power Options.
Move the slider next to Screen brightness at the bottom of the screen. The brightness changes automatically.
Also try to connect the external monitor for the issue.
Also try to perform color calibrate by go to control panel and select appearance and personalization, select display option.
Under display option select calibrate color option and follow the onscreen insrtuctions.
Hope this helps. Do post back if issue persists!
Best regards,

Why Lenovo doesn't provide any download links for bios update for g580 20150 model under Windows 7? Is it some company secret or what? I just don't get it, why company like Lenovo doesn't want to share files that they HAVE to has due to support stuff etc. Where is the point in leaving customers with outdated versions? Yeah some could say that anybody can find some ROM's over the web but why we can't use official updates?
I would not update / change BIOS unless ablsolutely neccessary... Too many have ended up bricking their notebook that way. Most of the time the update just is a minor bug fix to address problems that have surfaced, rather than an essential add on, or security issue.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it! -

[GNOME 3.4] gnome-shell overview search + gnome-documents - CPU 100%
Hello
When I type something in the gnome shell overview my CPU goes to 100% for a few seconds even after I left the overview.
The process which is taking my CPU is : gjs-console
With gnome 3.4 you can search for documents via the gnome shell overview, this search is based on gnome-documents. So I tried dis-installing gnome-documents and the problem was solved.
I don't know if it's a bug... but if the gjs-console really is the documents overview search process, it's strange that it doesn't stop when I leave this overview.
What do you think ? Should I report it as a bug ? Arch bug / upstream bug ?
PS : By the way, the gnome-shell extension "tracker-search" is faster and, I think, better for finding documents via the overview. This behaviour is the same in my box but I don't think it's an arch bug but an upstream issue (its not a bug formally speaking)... maybe it should be reported to the gnome-documents team in order they do more polish to it.
Best,
