G580 (20150). Monitor - FLICKER. Help me pls!

Hi to all! Sorry from my English I have lenovo g580 (20150) and Windows 8 x64. Monitor -> flickers! This is very bad, im dont work ;-( help me pls!! Maybe im need driver or special custom setting?? i have full drivers from lenovo site.

Maybe im dont have 60 hz? in settings set 60 hz. im donwloading powerstrip and view. 59 hz! This is normal? maybe i need driver for display? or i need special system setting? help..............

I heard there is a nvidia driver installation conflict on Win8 because of windows update.
Try this:
1). Disable windows Auto-Update and disconnect your internet connection.
2). Reinstall the geforce driver with Custom(Advanced) and checklist the Clean install
PS: You can use the latest optimus driver from lenovo or from nvidia site http://www.nvidia.com/Download/Find.aspx?lang=en-us

I have a g580 (20150) and i´m using win 8.1. I have a similar problem. My brightness-controls via the fn-buttons work, like every other fn-shortcut, but there are only 2 brightness settings working. i have either very bright or less bright. every other step in between does not work. before i reinstalled i had like 12 different brightness-steps from very bright to almost completely dark. even if i use the windows brightness-settings i have only these two brightness-levels...**bleep**...i have installed all drivers from the lenovo page including intel drivers, nvidia drivers and energy manangement and also the newest drivers from intel and newest energy management drivers. i have always only 2 brightness-levels. adaptive brightness is switched off. help please...

Welcome to Lenovo Community!
As per the query we understood that you are facing issue with brightness in your G580 laptop.
To change the display brightness on a laptop
Open Power Options by clicking the Start button , clicking Control Panel, clicking System and Security, and then clicking Power Options.
Move the slider next to Screen brightness at the bottom of the screen. The brightness changes automatically.
Also try to connect the external monitor for the issue.
Also try to perform color calibrate by go to control panel and select appearance and personalization, select display option.
Under display option select calibrate color option and follow the onscreen insrtuctions.

Help! Pls! Ti4800SE-VTD8X

Help! Pls!
Recently purchased the Ti4800SE-VTD8X card.
Anyways, problem is my system seems to running well slow and i mean slower than my very old PII back up sys!...
I had a Matrox G450 eTv card in the unit prior and things worked fine! I have done a complete reinstall of Xp and things were still slow! Last night i thought i would try the old card and things went back to normal i.e nolonger slow?
Things i have done:
Uninstalled the msi drivers and installed nvidia Drivers and back again!
Changed the settings and only used one monitor...
Changed my Psu
Unplugged all other devices (Sound etc...)
Put some more heat sink solution on the mem chips on the card (Not silver)
Not really sure what else to try? So any help and advice would be greatly appreciated...
Opp Sys: Windows Xp Pro
Cpu: P4 2Ghz
Mem: 1.5gb
Hard Drives: 4 x 100gb Ibm 7200's
Mother Board: 845E Max2 MS-6398E
S/Card: Creative Soundblaster Audigy
Monitors: 2 x 17" Flat Panel Screens

Ahh...for a P4 it seems a bit warm but keep in mind that ambient room temp and airflow in the case can influence the temps reported. As long as you took your time and made sure you mounted the heatsink correctly you should be in good shape.
As for the Codegen PSU I am curious about the power specs. Is there a sticker on it that shows amps for the +3.3 +5 and 12v?
Codegen has been known to be troublesome in the past. If you start getting random crashes, reboots etc. while taxing the video, you may consider the power supply as a last resort.
You seem to be in decent shape :D

G580 20150 problem game automatically shut down

Dear Lenovo Community!
I have bought my Lenovo G580 (20150) this summer, and ever since, I have been facing an annoying problem. When I try to play a game (regardless of its system requirements), after a few minutes, the laptop shuts down suddenly automatically without any previous warning or explanation after rebooting. I have already tried World of warplanes, Empire Total War and the new Tombraider as well, but the result is the same. However, there is no lagging even on medium-high settings. Besides, the laptop works fine without problems when I use other non-gameing programmes.
I sent it back to a local laptop service (I have bought from them), but they said that they didn't manage to find any problem.
What should I do? Please, help me.

Ah, I forgot to mention that I use win 8 x64, it may be important.

G580 20150 Hardware Scan error

Hi , I have a lenovo G580 20150 laptop. The lenovo solution center runs a scan and displays the error WHD01V01G-8J6A3H with a message to contact lenovo support. Can somebody tell me what the problem is?

As per the error code the issue is with the HDD sector errors and needs to be replaced. I would strongly suggest you to contact our Technical Support for further Assistance to get the details of the nearest Authorized Service Center to get the issue analyzed.

You could just try changing your Input Sources under System Preferences>Language & Text:
But I kind of doubt that's going to work. It may be a hardware problem or a system problem. If you take it into Apple they might be able to determine which and might advise a reinstallation of System software. I would take it to an Apple Store or an AASP but, first, make sure that you have a backup just in case they suggest a clean install of the system.

and I captured from my HDV and try to edit.
but,
viewer is strange.
every frame in viewer is white(blank) and sometimes marked "X"
it is normally displayed only when 'play'
In single frame, jogging and shuttling, reverse playing, it just blank,
(when jogging, sound is hearing)
but point it and move to timeline, I can see every single frame.
I already know HDV is long GOP mpeg2 and so it is hard to en/decode.
but I think my case is abnormal.

are you saying that when you connect your MacBook Pro to a monitor, your Internet connection slows down, but when you disconnect the monitor, it speeds up again, and that this is reproducible from one day to another?
Does this happen both under OS X and under Windows 7, or only under one of them?
How are you currently connecting your MacBook Pro to your monitor?

Unless you're trying to tether your phone to your computer or create a personal hotspot, it won't pair with your computer by bluetooth. File transfer by bluetooth is not supported. So, you can quit trying unless you're trying to tether.

I would recommend deleting the affected movie from your iPad, and redownloading the movie.

If you have a rescue email address on your account (an alternate email address is different) then you can use that to reset them : If you forgot the answers to your Apple ID security questions
If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer your questions) then you will have to contact Support in your country to get the questions reset.
