G580 - Discos de recuperacion Windows 8 (Argentina)

Hola comunidad!...a alguien de Argentina le llegaron los discos de recuperacion de Windows 8? los pedi un par de veces pero no tuve suerte, no se si sera por los problemas de aduana u otra cosa.

Debes contactar al centro de llamadas Lenovo, donde te indicaran que tiempo de garantia tiene los discos y esto varia según región, ellos te darán mayores detalles, números a final en mi firma.

Supongo que lo que quiere es crear un disco de instalación de OS X Mavericks para reinstalarlo en caso de tener algún problema.

Sin embargo, para reinstalar OS X desde OS X Recovery necesita una conexión a Internet, algo que lo hace inútil para muchos usuarios.
Otra opción que tiene es la de descargar el instalador de OS X desde el Mac App Store y grabarlo en un DVD o pendrive. Para hacer esto, abra el Mac App Store y descargue OS X Mavericks.
Cuando la descarga finalice, el instalador de OS X Mavericks se mostrará, por lo que ciérrelo. Después, descargue DiskMaker X, ábralo y siga sus instrucciones. Cuando termine, ya tendrá el disco de recuperación.

As mentioned on the title,i already upgraded to Windows 8. And i having problem installing driver from lenovo website,
not through windows built in driver.
As i want to install conexant smart audio driver,to get the dolby, i get and issue of :

And the bluetooth driver,also i cant get all driver works,as my bluetooth driver was ar3011 bluetooth 3.0 and at the driver website,not mentioned about this driver.
One Key recovery not functional.
About the bluetooth and wifi switch,at setting charm when turn OFF bluetooth,at desktop area see bluetooth still ON (Maybe just wait for later update)

Problem Solved by fully remove the driver installer,then install as administraitor right.
The Bluetooth also solved by :
1. Remove Lenovo Energy Management Windows8
2. Install Lenovo Energy management Windows7
3. Restart
4.Switch On bluetooth via fn+f5
5.Install Bluetooth Driver Windows 8 according ur laptop
6.Restart
7.Remove Lenovo Energy Management Windows7
8.Install Lenovo Energy Management Windows8
9.Restart
-U will see ur bluetooth on start charm.

G580 Unidentified network after up grade Windows 8.1

My machine details:
Machine: G580
Model: 20150
OS: Windows 8
When I tried to connect Wi-Fi is not possible. In the internet graphic shows No internet access, all the problem appear once I installed Windows 8.1.
I turned off the modem but the problem continues

Just to check, when it says "Connected - No Internet Access" can you open an elevated command prompt and type ipconfig /all and observe the TCP/IP IPV4 address

- If you get a valid IP address (192.xxx.xxx.xxx / 172.xxx.xxx.xxx / 10.xxx.xxx.xxx) then there's most likely a security software that's interfering with the internet connectivity. If you have a security software from your old Windows 8 installation (eg. Mcafee, Norton, AVG, etc.), try to uninstall it and observe.
- If you get a 169.254.xxx.xxx IP address then you're most likely getting a DHCP failover (APIPA).  check this thread and try the script made by cbautis2 to refresh the winsock and TCP/IP configurations of the PC and observe. In addition, ensure that the DHCP Client service is running under services.msc.

BIOS Request for G580 Model 2189 Windows 7 x64

Hello, could someone please provide an original BIOS for G580 Model 2189 x64 Windows 7? Thank you!

Not to difficult to find... Why the "original" BIOS request? Usually not a good idea to backstep BIOS unless directed to by support professionals. Also, BIOS updates are independant of Windows Versions, the installer or "flashing": program used to install the BIOS file is sometimes Windows version dependant.

Lenovo G40-70 : Dual boot windows 8.1 and fedora 22

Buenas tardes Estimados, recurrí al foro porque no puedo ingresar a mi partición de W 8,1 que trae instalada de fábrica la laptop, por motivo que instalé Fedora 22 (en otra partición)Quizas mi error fue instalar Fedora en modo legacy,y cambiar la bios al modo UEFI no reconoce el disco duro por ende no dejar cargar windows 8,1 .,si me permiten puedo indicar a detalle el mensaje que presenta (Imagen) , de ser factible me puede ayudar a solucionar el dual boot sin dañar la partición de Windows (y respaldar información), caso contrario me gustaría me ayuden con alguna ISO original que contenga sus aplicaciones Pre Instaladas ya que me acostumbré a ellas.. y yo proceder a realizar nuevamente la instalación.Esperando su comprensión, me suscribo. No estoy seguro pero creo que cuando se instala Windows se coje la informacion de la licencia de la bios automaticamente, no tiene que ser un disco de recuperacion. En webs de descargas podras encontrar imagenes iso de windows aunque no se si son seguras, tengo isos originales de Microsoft descargados de Dreamspark por ser universitario, no se si hay otros medios oficiales. Yo tambien instale una distro GNU/Linux en mi caso Ubuntu, me documente bien e hice un usb de recuperacion de Windows, tengo compañeros que tienen que cambiar entre legacy y uefi para poder cambiar de SO. G480 (20156) regresar de Windows 10 a Windows 8 y volver a Windows 10

Hola, como estan, espero no molestar. Explicare lo siguiente, tengo con mi G480 desde hace un año con Windows 8 que luego lo actualice a Windows 8.1, ahora lo actualice a Windows 10 pero no se pero siento que anda algo lento no lo se, recuerdo que cuando lo actualizaba estaba en la pantalla de configurando aplicaciones me aparecio de que le "estaba tomando un poco mas de tiempo" y, no se si tenga algo que ver, pero es extraño pero tengo que presionar el boton de encendido dos veces porque en la primera vez que lo presiono se enciende la pantalla y luego se apaga y tengo que presionarlo otra vez. Se que se puede volver al estado de fabrica con OneKey Recovery y me gustaria saber si es posible restaurarlo para que vuelva a Windows 8 y volver de nuevo a Windows 10, ya saben, borron y cuenta nueva. Nota: no se si el no tener copia de seguridad y no tener garantia tenga que ver en algo. De antemano, muchas gracias

Hola, tienes varias opciones, la primera es regresar al estado de fabrica con OneKey, pero segun las informaciones de Microsoft, tras actualizar a Windows 10, alguna particiones Recovery podrian no funcionar, esto seria lo primero que habria que comprobar y segun esto, tienes dos alternativas:
-Si funciona Onekey, aplicas, regresas a Windows 8, actualizas a Windows 8.1 y por ultimo, actualizas a Windows 10.
-Si no funciona Onekey, tendrias que solicitar a Lenovo los discos de recuperacion que suelen tener coste o bien, descargar una ISO de WIndows 10 desde la siguiente direccion e instalar en limpio, en ese caso, tendrias que bajar las aplicaciones de Lenovo que estuvieran disponibles en Lenovo ya que la version de Windows 10 no las lleva incorporadas logicamente:

Think disabling WMM on G580 solved wifi Limited Access issue

I'm posting this in the hope the hope that it may help someone else. I have a G580, model 20150 with Windows 8.1 and the Broadcom wifi card. Like many of you, I had the limited Access dropout issue. Here's the things I can remember trying previously:
Switching from the Microsoft Broadcom driver to the Broadcom driver.
Turning off power management on the Broadcom driver
Setting IBSS mode to just b/g
Disable Bluetooth collaboration.
Disabling all things power managment I could find.
etc...
The thing I found that seemed to fix it once and for all is going to the Advanced properties of the Broadcom and disabling "WMM". As I understand it, WMM is a QoS feature for prioritizing audio/video port traffic over data. Supposedly, you can't take advantage of wireless N speeds with WMM off, but I'll trade performance for not having to reconnect every 15 minutes.
I'm not going to mess with telling you how to disable WMM since there are tons of instructions and discussions on the interwebs. I also can't guarantee that it wasn't a combination of WMM and other fixes that solved my problem because I'm not willing to experiment on my finally working pc. My system has been constantly connected and going strong for 12 hours.

Don't these usually work by intercepting the DNS quieries and then redirecting you to the gateway for authentication? Check your DNS settings and try to use theirs for the nameserver. Make sure something else isn't getting specified such as Google Public DNS.

El adobe photoshop Cs5 no me coje el serial de Mac que me pone en el disco.

Hace un par de años, realice un curso de fotografía profesional con CEAC, este me mando el material necesario para hacerlo, entre ellos el Adobe Photoshop Cs5 (Original), este me traía dos discos, uno para sistema windows y otro para Mac. Lo instale en Windows y perfecto.
Ahora mi problema, acabado el curso, como realizo un gran número de fotografías, me salía más rentable pasarlas y editarlas al Mac que en un HP (Debido a la memoria, obviamente), pero al instalar el CS5 en el Mac y poner el número de serie correspondiente, me dice que el número de serie es incorrecto.
¿Una ayudita?

El número de serie de las licencias de los programas, hasta la versión CS6, son independientes y separados para Windows y Mac.
Y ademas son diferentes y no son intercambiables.
Es decir si tienes un número de serie para Windows (al parecer te funcionó en Windows) de Photoshop CS5, no vale, y no funciona para la versión Mac.
Aunque tengas los discos originales de Windows y Mac del programa, si sólo tienes un núemro de serie, sólo tienes una licencia, y en tu caso es de Windows.

Windows 8 file moving

This is my first experience with a computer with preloaded software. I bought a Lenovo G580 model 20150 with windows 8.I added a drive partition (F) for data storage and moved my downloads folder to it, then downloaded some files to verify operation.When that worked I moved the "my documents" file to the same location. To my surprise it wound up in the downloads folder. Any attempt to move it from there tried to redirect it back to the downloads folder. I then restored the default location created a new folder on the F drive and moved my documents to that folder. This appeared to work but now I could not find the new folder anywher on "my computer". But things giot more confusing when I went to the address bar and clicked win+D and got a path to the new folder that I still cannot find on my computer! Itried the same thing with my pictures and got the same result. I tried another new folder and got the same result.
This appears to be a hard bug. It looks like windows 8 will allow me to organise this computer the way I like, but not if I cannot predict the results of any action. At this point I am dead in the water since I don't want to add more stuff until I know I have a reliable foundation set up.

G580 Model 2189 Wlan mit 5 GHZ?

Hallo, ich habe ein Lenovo G580 Model 2189, dazu Windows 8.1 installiert.
Meine Frage, Läuft meine WIFI Wlan Broadcom 802.11n auch auf 5 Ghz?
Laut Wiki müste doch N mit 5 Ghz laufen oder? Meine Fritzbox habe ich umgestellt auf 5 Ghz, mein Handy erkennt es und funktioniert gut nur mein Lenovo erkennt es nicht. Er findet es noch nicht mal...!
Wenn es nicht funktionieren sollte, kann ich da einen anderen WIFI Chip einbauen und wenn ja welchen?

Hallo Klaus und willkommen im Lenovo Community Forum.
Es werden ausschließlich 802.11n single band Module verbaut, die das 2,4 GHz Frequenzband unterstützen. Welche Module das im G580 sein können, findest du hier auf Seite 102 (Pos. 16). Andere Module werden aufgrund der BIOS Whitelist nicht unterstützt. Ein Booten ist nach dem Einbau eines nicht unterstützen Moduls nicht mehr möglich.
Als Alternative bieten sich jedoch externe Geräte an, z.B. ein 5GHz USB WLAN-Stick.

PROBLEMAS RECUPERAR/INSTALAR WINDOWS 8

Muy buenas, Hace año y medio, adquirí un Lenovo Z500 el cuál venía con Windows 8 preinstalado en su disco duro HDD interno. Bien, decidí adquirir un disco SSD, intalar Windows 7 y sustituirlo por el HDD de la casa. Mantengo el HDD con el WINDOWS 8 en el disco duro que extraje del pc, y a día de hoy intento iniciar el Windows 8 por usb (metí el HDD en una caja adaptador), configuro el arranque desde la BIOS para que inicie desde el USB y me da el pantallazo azul de ERROR EN WINDOWS 8. Probando todas las opciones de reparación que ofrece no hay forma alguna de iniciar Windows8. ¿Qué solución me dan? Al no tener el dvd del Windows 8 y venir preinstalado no sé muy bien como podría hacer una instalación limpia del mismo, ya que supuestamente con este nuevo sistema de los SO con licencia OEM se realiza el formateo desde la partición RECOVERY, pero no la encuentro en el disco HDD que traía el LENOVO. La idea sería recuperar el Windows8 que venía de serie en discho disco HDD para clonarlo al SSD. ¿Alguna idea? Gracias.

Debes conectar el disco a su lugar anterior si quieres que levante el sistema.

Es una imagen para Windows 8.1 pero funcional con tu ordenador.

Did you try the Vista driver? Normally they work fine for W7.

Another thing you can try is to be connected to the internet. Click on the audio controller in the device manager. Click on the Driver tab. Click on Update Driver and select the automatic search.
Sometimes W7 will pull down a driver from the Windows Update site.
If the above 2 suggestions don't work, try this driver which seems to be the same as the Vista one, but for Windows 7.

G580 20150 W7 BIOS

Why Lenovo doesn't provide any download links for bios update for g580 20150 model under Windows 7? Is it some company secret or what? I just don't get it, why company like Lenovo doesn't want to share files that they HAVE to has due to support stuff etc. Where is the point in leaving customers with outdated versions? Yeah some could say that anybody can find some ROM's over the web but why we can't use official updates?

I would not update / change BIOS unless ablsolutely neccessary... Too many have ended up bricking their notebook that way. Most of the time the update just is a minor bug fix to address problems that have surfaced, rather than an essential add on, or security issue.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it!
