I have to install Windows XP on Lenovo G700 latop. To do that I need driver for SATA Controller.
I am unable to find proper one. Could you help me and tell what driver exactly I need to get?

Where can I download the AHCi driver for Windows 7 x64 Home Premium for this notebook please? Lenovo G550. I'm trying to install there Corsair Neutron GTX, and Windows 7 x64 HP is unable to see the HDD, I tried plenty of drivers, but I always get faulty size of SSD, so they must have been wrong,

Well, I solved it by putting Corsair Neutron GTX into HP ProBook 4540s, installing windows there and than reassembling it into G550.

yes i have a sata drive.

if you unrar the 64 bit drivers in a folder you get a folder ide
inside are 2 more folders
one says xp one windows 2000
best i can see you need to copy every thing in the xp folder to the floppy
except the raid utility folder
these are what it tells you to copy for 32 bit

Need SATA RAID driver for RS480M2-IL(ms-7093) to install XP

I have lost my floppy to install the driver for my SATA RAID and can't seem to find the right one anywhere on the web.
It's an ATI SB400 chipset that has a SIL 3112a RAID controller.

Well, I found the correct driver, I think. It was in the ATI System driver package, on this page: http://global.msi.com.tw/index.php?func=driverfile&dno=2427&i=1
However, I still can't get XP to recognize my drive by pressing F6 at install. Perhaps I'm not using the right files from this package (287MB!). I found what I thought might be the correct drivers in the following folder: ATIDrv/SBDrv/RAID4xx and copied all the files to a floppy. Windows sees this driver and loads it, but when it gets to the point of formatting a drive (or whatever the next step is after you hit F^ and load the driver), it says no HD found, hit F3 to restart (sure would be nice to have other options here, like load another driver).
So, here's more info about my system (read the posting guidelines since last time
mobo: RS480M2-IL BIOS 7093v39
PS:Thermaltake TR2-430NP
RAM: G.Skill PC3200 1GBx2
HD1:Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 160GB
HD2:Maxtor Diamondmax20 160GB
Problem started when co-worker shut the machine off hard. On reboot, Invalid System Disk error and looking at RAID Bios shows drives in SYNC state. Removed the drives and attached to another machine, one looks fine so I clone it for good measure. The other is corrupted, XP wants to format as soon as it's mounted. Checking it with Filescavenger3 shows the files are still there, but I just reformat it since I have the good image of the other disk. Now I'm trying to fix the other drive, since it still comes up as Invalid System Disk, so I want to try either using the Recovery Console to FixMBR, or do a repair install of XP. I can't find the right driver to make this happen. I do have a disk with LastXPv2.11 that will recognize the drive, but it doesn't allow me to get into the recovery console or offer to repair xp. If you know how to extract the drivers from a slipstreamed disc, that might work too. Finally, I don't know if I've update the RAID bios, or if that happens when you update the mobo bios. I did update that to v39 and the RAID BIOS shows 4.2.50.
Sorry this is so long, any ideas to help get me going here would be fantastic

SATA Drivers and SATA AHCI Drivers for Zen 4.01 ir7 Boot CD

Our Zenworks Server is Zen 4.01 ir7 and we use Zen 4.01 ir7 Boot CD at our schools to install the Zen Parition which uses Linux Kernel 2.4.31.
I have no problem finding and compiling drivers for our Zen 4 boot cd and putting the correct information (.o file) in the NET folder under the DRIVERS folder and modify the DRIVER.CONF correctly as well.
Our only issue is that newer computers are coming out with SATA drives and some of the newer computers are coming out with SATA drives that support AHCI.
Are there SATA drivers and SATA drivers that support AHCI that we can put into our Zen 4.01 ir7 (Linux Kernel 2.4.31) and if so is there a link you can send me too and basically how do you put these drivers into the Zen 4.01 ir7 bootcd?

You may want to see if you can download and use a ZDM7 boot disk.
I've never tried it, but it may work.

ATA or SATA hard drives for my ibooks?

I have an ibook G3 and an ibook G4 that both need new hard drives.I wanted to know can I put a SATA drive in both or do they need ATA drives.

Does anyone know how to turn my two original X-Serves into SATA using machines. The problem is that I would like to have 1.5 to 2 TB drives in each bay but I can't fine IDE drives in that size anywhere.
If anyone has a tip on who manufactures IDE drives in those sizes I would much appreciate it. I've Googled to no end and can't fine anything over 500GB.

Easiest option? Go external.
Seriously. There's no easy easy way to internal SATA. You could add a SATA PCI card, but then you'd have to run cables to the drive bays, and you wouldn't be able to use the drive trays since the bus connector is PATA and not SATA, so you lose the hot-swappability of the drives anyway.
External SATA enclosures and an eSATA card is going to be way, way easier to implement.

You can buy any 3'5" SATA hard drive for the iMac. You can buy a hard drive at OWC.
Note that Late 2009 and newer iMacs have the temperature sensor inside the hard drive, so it's important to get one with that sensor. In this case, I recommend you to take your computer to an Apple Store or reseller and get your hard disk replaced

What IDE driver for a SATA HD for a KT4V ?

I have a new KT4V board with a WD 120 SATA hard drive. I need to install Win2K server on it. I can not discover what drivers to use so that Win2K will recognized the HD.
From what I can tell it uses the VT8235 chipset, but I can't locate anything for it.
All help appreciated.

Is the drive jumper set correctly, WD uses a setting for "stand alone" that most others do not use. If you have it set as master, and it is the only drive on that channel, it will not be reconised. Hope that helps.
