G710 seems dead after restart but will eventually start.

Question

If I restart my system, lights on the front act normal, but screen remains black for more than 20+ minutes - by black I mean nothing - no Lenovo screen or anything else.  Then if I hit a key or the touchpad, the login screen comes up as normal.  If I leave the lid open, I can "awaken" it as normal.  The front light indicates it's in sleep mode.  But if I close the lid for a time, it will take 20+ minutes before it comes up.  I first thought this was the result of the background install of an update, because it only happened once, but now it happens all the time.

Not the case with most notebook computers, they rarely survive more than a year or two of use, regardless of being dropped or mistreated. The primary factor is related to the "lightweight" syndrome that has compromised cooling and impact resistance on the system components. Also - with computer technology advancing faster than most of us can keep up with, manufactures know that users will most likely trade in or upgrade on a yearly basis to take advantage of new offerings in connectivity, or better graphics / storage options.
I had an older P3 notebook that lasted almost 10 years, but you would not want to lug it around or drop it on your foot - it was built like a tank.
