G750 power button problem

Hi guys,
So the problem with my laptop is that when I press the power button, the power button itself and the two leftmost lights below the touchpad- power and battery- they light up for a second or two. But the laptop doesn't start up and the lights go off. If I long press the power button, the laptop starts, though.
Now this is not a severe problem as of now, I know. But I'm pretty sure this will escalate into something else. Does anyone know what the problem actually is and what I can do to solve it?
P.S.: Unlike people with power button problems, I didn't do anything with the hardware or software.

I’m sorry to hear that the Power button is not working as expected in your G750 Laptop. I would suggest you to perform the Flee-Power, below are the steps to perform the same:
Remove the battery and any other peripheral device connected to the computer.
Hold the power button for 10-15 seconds and then connect only the AC Adapter and try to turn ON the computer.
If the issue persists even after performing Flee-Power, I would suggest you to contact our Technical Support for further Assistance to get the details of the nearest Authorized Service Center to get the issue analyzed.

for this one no need to tell your IMEI number and all. if your phone is bought in apple store with one year apple care warranty then you can replace a new iphone charged upto $150. so how did you got the apple care warranty from an local book stall shop?

Nokia lumia 610 power button problem

Hi,
It has been more than a year since i have been using my nokia lumia 610 but from few days i have been experiencing a problem with my phone . sometimes power button becomes too sensitive and it becomes like a touch button , Also , it turns off by itself And while starting , it reaches upto nokia logo and then vibrate and turns off.
now phone working fine, "this problem started when my phone fall down like 50 cm high to ground".

G550 Power Button Problem

Recently I received a Lenovo G550 but the problem is that clicking the power button does nothing. Holding it for a while does nothing either. I managed to turn on the computer when I accidentally clicked the OneKey button and rebooted from there but it is inconvenient to do this every time. Once on, I click the power button which, according to the "when I press the power button," should put the computer to sleep mode but instead does nothing. Holding the power button does nothing either. What can I do to fix this problem?

I bought G550 last jan 2010 and ran out of warranty last month. my laptop is not powering at all.
it happened after i replaced my broken keyboard with a new one.
when i removed the multimedia panel (that has power button, audio controls, onekey rescue button), it looked like i damaged the ribbon cable that goes from the back of this panel into the motherboard (which is under the
keyboard).
the pins on the ribbon cable were distorted and couple of times it powered and after that i could never power it on.
unfortunately i lost the cable, so am not sure of the make of this cable. i am looking for a replacement part
Is there any way to get the parts list for g550?

IMac power button problem

I am having problems starting my iMac. The power button has to be pushed 5 or 6 times before the computer will start.

I assume because it is a 17" it has a couple of years. Sounds like the switch is breaking, but has not completely. That would require the assistance of a technician.

Hp g70 changed power button problem

I changed power button unit I got from eBay as the original got damaged when I was changing screen nothing comes on now with the new one have tried all things taken it out and redoing static starts etc. Beginning to think I may have affected the motherboard really appreciate any help as I was doing as favour for my student niece anybody else have this problem.<br>Thanks

Dv2815nr Power Button Problems

Hello,
I have an HP Pavilion dv2815nr. I went to turn off my laptop this evening and the power button would not work to shut it down. I pressed and held the button for a while and it would not work. So I shut down through windows. Now I can't get it to power up. I can push and hold the button but it won't respond. I get a blue light where the power cord plugs in so I believe I'm getting power. Also, the battery was charged as well.
I've tried disconnecting the power and the battery and holding the power switch. Still no luck. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I've been having the same problem. After I kept trying I finally got it to boot up in Safe Mode. I then went to the power options and turned off the sleep mode. That seemed to help somewhat.

MSI GE60-2OE upgrade to windows 8.1 bios/power button problem

Just upgraded my GE60-2OE to windows 8.1, during start up pressing del key doesn't do anything (normally it will enter system bios), and that's not the only problem, my power button light which is originally suppose to be blue in colour has become orange even when my laptop is idle, i know orange means it is running on nvidia graphics but thats the problem here,how do i make the light back into blue and how do i enter system bios at startup? my EC and bios is updated to latest version,i have latest geforce experience installed and also latest intel hd driver.

Camera and Power button problems!!

I have 2 major problems with my playbook. First problem is that the camera doesn't work. When I press the camera button, black screen pops up without any buttons visible. Sometimes an error message pops up saying that the camera is in use and won't be load up. Second problem is that when I turn the screen off by pressing power button and try to turn it on again by pressing the button again, it won't turn on. I can only turn the screen on again by swipe across the screen. The fact that my playbook doesn't work properly bothers me a lot since the problem arose only 3 months after I bought the device. What should I do to fix these problems??

I have seen post where the turnaround was 3 days. You must backup your files first because the PlayBook will be wiped clean. Here are the contacts in Germany.

13 in MBPr power button problem

I have a 13 inch MBPr, every so often I will go to hit backspace several times and I will end up hitting the power button twice, which straight up turns off my computer. Is there a way to change the default option at least to sleep so I don't lose my work? I've tried searching around and haven't found a working solution. Thanks!

About iphone5 power button problem

Hi my iphone 5 power button doesnt work.Turkey store didnt change it.

If you are eligable for a repai or replacment, either send in your iPhone or take it too your closest Apple store and you will be spoke through a number of procedures. They should take your phone and usually with in 5-7 days your phone should be given back to you in working order.

MSI GS70 Stealth Power Button problem

I just got my gs70 stealth laptop. The power button keeps changing between orange and white almost every second. Am I missing some driver?

Most likely there is something that is causing the computer to use the NVidia dedicated graphics card for less than a second, over and over. It could even be the monitoring program that is included with the NVidia drivers (to allow you to see what programs are accessing the video card, this will cause the card to get enabled as you describe over and over).

Power Button Problems

within the past few weeks, the manual on/off button does neither. i can program it to turn off and them back on at certain times. but if i need to use it before it is programmed to come on, the button won't work. i can take out the battery and when i put is back in, it will reboot and off i go. i cannot turn it off manually at all. my carrier is t-mobile - called their BB specialists about the problem - their suggested solution is to download and install the latest version of system software. how would that fix what i think may be a hardware problem? any other suggestions?

Take the device to the nearest repair shop to check the button contacts.
If the device is under warranty - ask for replacement.
