Galaxy S4 Earpiece Speaker Quit. (anyone else?)

Well I was so excited to get my Galaxy S4 yesterday & all was going well until I needed to make phone calls. Notice the earpiece speaker was going in & out. Thought at first it was just a bad signal so didn't think much of it. But then 4-5 phone calls later still doing same thing. I could put it on speaker phone & would work clear with no problems. Well now it just completly went out all together with no sound at all. I've tried everything thinking & hoping it was just an error on my part, but it looks like I got a blown speaker! Just wondering if anyone else has experienced any issues with that? I love the phone & verizon is sending another one soon! (I hope?) . Stuff happens I know but it's just disappointing when you wait 4 weeks for phone & you get a dud (came a little earlier than expected tho). Can't wait to get the new one hope it's is a little better. Thanks

Annoying buzzing in the earpiece...anyone else have it?

In the last month, I been noticing a consistent buzzing in my ear with each call I make. My connections are filled with lightly audible static and buzzing noises, which over time, become quite irritating. After about 10 minutes, my ears begin aching slightly, and it becomes an unpleasant listening experience. It doesn't seem to be a connection problem, since when I use my headphone, I don't hear them.
Is anyone else experiencing this? Or do I have a defective speaker?
Also, does anyone else get the impression that this phone emits a lot of radiation/waves? Sometimes I feel like my brain cells are frying, and the monitor on my old PC as well as my amplifier goes ballistic when the phone is nearby.
What exactly has been documented regarding the safety of this device? Just curious, if anyone out there knows and could put my mind at ease.

Do not modify the partition map while running Windows, or your Mac OS X partition will not work properly again. Do all partitioning from Disk Utility.
Make sure your read and understand the Boot Camp instructions for your particular version of Windows.

I seem to have a problem with my screen, it seems to have an oil slick similar to what galaxy tabs have. Does anyone else have a similar problem and is it covered under the standard warranty for iPads?

I hadn't heard of this oil slick problem on the Galaxy Tab, but I just googled it and found some videos. If your iPad does that, it should be covered under the standard warranty, as long as it's not the result of you somehow misusing the device, dropping it, submerging it in water, etc. Take it to the nearest Apple store or authorized center.

Anyone else's iPhone 4s speaker not working after update to iOS 6.1?

My speaker does not work after updating the software to iOS 6.1. No sound for incoming calls or texts, no speakerphone, no siri, no music or any sounds played from apps. Headphones still work as does anything plugged into the headphone jack. I've check all my settings - everything is correct. I've rebooted and restored settings several times, I've docked it - nothing works.
Anyone else having this problem? Did anyone have this problem and were able to fix it? Does anyone know if Apple is aware and will be sending another update to fix it? I really don't think it's a hardware problem. Phone is in immaculate condition and never dropped or spilled on.

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after the iPad shuts down, then press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds). Ignore the "Slide to power off"

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:

I just checked to see if the update to OS X Yosemite 10.10.1 solved any of the issues outlined in my previous post, and to my dismay, nothing has changed -- all of the previous problems persist.
My iMac (8) -- it's renamed itself eight times since the recent troubleshoot with the Apple tech rep -- shows up as a shared device in Finder on my MacBook Pro, but when I click on it, I cannot establish a connection using "Connect As". So I've attempted to connect using the menu "Go/Connect to Server...", using both (alternately) the iMac's name and IP address, to no avail. I get a message which reads: "There was a problem connecting to the server 'Peter's iMac (8)'. This server may not exist or it is unavailable at this time. Check the server name or IP address, check your network connection, and then try again."
Here's what I know:
The server -- Peter's iMac (8) does exist;
The server -- Peter's iMac (8) is available at this time;
The server name -- Peter's iMac (8) -- is correct, as specified in the system sharing preferences;
The server IP address is correct, as specified in the system sharing preferences;
The network connection is active when I attempt to connect.
I'm convinced the problems stem directly from the OS X Yosemite update. None of this was ever remotely an issue in the previous OS X's -- any of them. This is maddening! What can be done? Apple?? Anyone???

Lightroom 6 quits unexpectedly. Has this happened to anyone else?

Every time I try to edit images in the Develop module, the spinning wheel of death appears and Lightroom quits unexpectedly. It makes trying to edit weddings extremely frustrating because it happens at different times while in the develop module. Im hoping this is just a little glitch and can be ironed out in an update. Has anyone else experienced this same issue and can other some insight?

I have hopefully just found an answer to our problem. While searching other threads, I received an answer from user pascalvangerven. It goes as follows:
"Finally... after four evenings of trial and error, I have found the solution: It seems to have something to do with the writing rights of the folder Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/Adobe. For reasons that are completely beyond me, this folder was set to "read only" for staff/admin, which apparently is a problem for LR6 to get launched (with the above laundry list as a result). By selecting Get Info and changing these rights to "read & write" the problem seems to be solved. I have no idea who caused this devilish spell -- Adobe, Apple, or both -- but I'm convinced that this should never have happened. "
Essentially you want to go to that folder, right click, and at the very bottom it should show the sharing options. I made sure all the options were set to "read & write". I hope this helps everyone! Please let me know the outcome.

I can't make or take phone calls, but i can message and use data. Has this happened to anyone else? I've gone through three Samsung Galaxy S5's in the past three days, two of which have this problem and one just stopped working all together.

I've had new sim cards put in, ive done hard resets on the phone, i've rebooted the phone, done battery pulls, and tech support has reset the signal to my phone. Nothing has worked. (I just "upgraded" <- lol.... and my old phone IS turned off.)

Im in 79707. So to recap my whole case: I upgraded my device using the verizon wireless website. I received my phone and switched my old SIM card from my Droid Razr Maxx HD into the new Galaxy S5. Everything worked fine until the next morning (May 31st) when I woke up and the phone wouldn't turn on. I took the phone to the local Verizon store and they were also unable to turn it on. They issued me a new Galaxy S5 (referred to as phone 2) and switched my SIM card into that one.
With PHONE 2 i was able to make calls and receive calls, along with text and data for approximately four hours. After that, i was unable to use the phone function of the device, but text and data were still functioning. I took PHONE 2 back to the Verizon store where they attempted to hard reset the phone twice, they also installed two new SIM cards at the store. After this they would get the same error, which is the phone just reading "Dialing..." after attempting to make a call. The Verizon associate declared the phone "DOA" and issued me another Galaxy S5 (referred to as PHONE 3).
PHONE 3 worked well, with phone text and data featured intact from when I received it on the after noon of the 31st until approximately 2:30PM on June 1st. I contacted Verizon Tech Support via Gmail phone to attempt the correct the problem. They reset the connection, had me do a battery pull, had me close the "phone" application, and erase the data and catche, then restart the phone. All of which had no effect. My phone is still able to receive texts and use data (even with wifi off) it simply cannot make or take phone calls. all it says is "dialing..." when I attempt to make a call. When other phones call my device it rings once on their end and directs them to voicemail, PHONE 3 does not ring on my end.
I have made sure my old phone is completely powered down.

See if the Disk is issuing any S.M.A.R.T errors in Disk Utility...

Open Activity Monitor in Applications>Utilities, select All Processes & sort on CPU%, any indications there?
How much RAM & free space do you have also, click on the Memory & Disk Usage Tabs.
Open Console in Utilities & see if there are any clues or repeating messages when this happens.
In the Memory tab, are there a lot of Pageouts?

A reset should fix it:
Double click the Home button. Slide up with one finger on ALL your apps to close them.
Then, Press the Sleep/Wake button + Home button and hold 15 seconds or until you see the Apple logo.
This will reset your device without erasing data, apps or settings.
