Galaxy Tab A tablet trade-in promo no honored

Hi. I spoke with 2 stores on the phone: 845 (Folsom, CA) and 364 (Citrus Heights, CA).
I mentioned one of the tablets I'm trading is off brand. They stated the item must be in the database for the $50 giftcard.
Can anybody at BBY help? Store 845: 916-817-2115. Store 364: 916-725-1455. Perhaps communications gets jumbled during promotions and they need some reassurance?

Hello dwerve,
Welcome to the forum. Our trade-in program is a great way to upgrade to the latest and greatest electronic gadgets. I'm very sorry to hear they informed you that your tablet would not qualify when you called both our stores.
As you may be aware, the promotion excludes Barnes and Noble Nook and eReaders, and according to the terms and conditions, not all products are eligible for trade-in. Not available in all locations and some stores may have additional limitations. Trade-in value may vary. Condition, documentation and accessories may affect value. Device must power on to be considered working. Water-damaged devices and devices with cracked screens are not considered working devices for purposes of this offer.
If your tablet meets these conditions the store should be able to accept it, and I would be happy to reach out to the store leadership team. Using the e-mail you registered on the forum, I was unable to locate your information. I would appreciate it very much if you could send me your contact information, and the store you prefer to visit in a private message. To send me a private message, simply click to the right of my signature below.
Thank you again for visiting the forum, and I look forward to hearing from you.

  • Samsung Galaxy Tab A Tablet Trade Issue

    Hello,
My wife wanted to take advantage of the trade in program for the Galaxy Tab A but when we went to the store, the staff was very rude and unhelpful. After reseraching the issue online, I came across this forum. The store representive said that she could not accept the tablet becuase it was not listed in the database. It appears that others have had this same issue and you were able to help. Any help, is greatly appreciated.
    Thank you,

Greetings Uncharted_Taco, and welcome to the Best Buy forum,
It surprises me every time I read that one of our store locations has denied a customer the option to trade-in their tablet per the current promotional offer because the tablet could not be found in our Trade-in system.  This is not the first and probably not the last time that we will have a trade-in promotional offer, so we should all know the correct process by now.  A tablet should really only need to turn on and not have any damage to be eligible; however, please keep in mind that the terms do mention there could be other limitations.
I am terribly sorry for any inconvenience you or your wife may have experienced while at our Prescott, AZ store and would like to see what I can do to further assist.  To discuss the matter with you and gather a few extra details, I will be sending you a private message. You will end up needing to go back up to the store, as the offer expires on 5/16/2015 (Saturday).  You can check your private messages by logging into the forum and clicking on the little envelope icon at the top of the page.

  • NHL Gamecenter Premium Upgrade on Samsung Galaxy TAB 2 Tablet

For the past 4 days, I have been trying to get the premium upgrade on my tablet.
During this process I have been on the phone with NHL support 3x and been DMed by VZWSupport through twitter.
Nothing has been resolved at all.
When I install the app (YES on 4G LTE) and open the app and click on upgrade to premium, a box comes up that says I need to pay 4.99 for it. I click continue and are given 3 options. When i click the "bill to Verizon wireless account" it shoots off an error message.
Then when I click on videos, and click Verizon exclusives, it shoots off another error message saying that its only offered for Verizon customers.
For some reason this tablet is blocking information to the app and I can't access anything that I am supposed too.
This is getting really out of hand, and I am getting annoyed with it.

I am sorry to hear about the troubles you are having with the app. We try to make the app as compatible with all devices as possible. The full list of devices the mobile remote is compatible with is https://www22.verizon.com/OnDemand/unprotected/AboutFlexView.aspx   . You may find there may be devices that do work with it that re not on the list, but these are all verified working devices with the app. Since yours doesn't appear to be on the list, we can not gaurantee it will work. Submitting all the feedback has gotten word back to Verizon about the troubles you are having. You can also submit this to the Verizon Idea Exchange. Please search on the idea exchange and cast your vote. There may be another member who made the same suggestion. If not, please add a new idea so your fellow community members can comment and vote on your suggestion. http://forums.verizon.com/t5/Verizon-Idea-Exchange/ct-p/ideaexchange  . • How can we print from our Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 tablet to the wireless HP 150 printer?

We can use our phone or other devices but the Samsung says only use a Samsung printer when we try to connect via Bluetooth to the HP printer.
We'd prefer to utilize the bluetooth so do we need an app or cable,if there actually is a cable which can be used to connect to the tablet?

    @jb0503
You can get the HP Print Service Plug-In at the Google Play Store...

  • Trade in Trade up promo not honored at Hartsdale Store 822

Well I just came back from another wasted trip to the Hartsdale Store:
    299 N Central Ave
    Hartsdale, NY 10530
    Phone: 914-946-0707
    GEO: 41.027210, -73.793617
Website says this store accepts trade in.
I brought my tablet in to the store last Friday.  The customer service lady immeditely told me that their computer system could not provide the gift cards and that I should come back later.  I asked her when and she replied Sunday.
Today is Tuesday, 4 days later than my original visit.  Again, the representative told me they could not process the trade in because the computers do not work.  She suggested I contact corporate.  Well I'm pretty sure corporate is going to tell me it should work and I should go in and speak to a manager.  And we all know how that will end.
This from a high technology store with their own group of 'Geek Squad' techies.  How can you trust them with your electronics when they can't even fix their own?
So in summary, I wasted the time and gas to drive to this store (twice) and they are flatly refusing to honor the trade in promotion.  Getting pretty close to abandoning this store.  Oh how I miss CompUSA and CircuitCity!

    Hello Woz2000,
I'm very disappointed to read that your recent visit to the Hartsdale store has resulted in such feelings. What you describe is not the superior level of service to which we aspire, and I very much regret that we've not lived up to that ideal for you.
I presume from your message that you did not speak to a manager during your recent visit. If you wish, I can work on your behalf with the store's leadership to help rectify this situation, and I'm happy to do so. If you' please send me a private message with your preferred contact information, I'll get in touch with the store managers.
Thank you for bring this to my attention and for sharing your experience with us.

  • HP Deskjet 2540 and Galaxy Tab 3 - cannot print wirelessly

    Hello
I would be very grateful for help with the following issue.
I have an HP Deskjet 2540 and a Galaxy Tab 3 (Android) and wish to print wirelessly from the tablet.
I have installed the ePrint app and the ePrint All-in One Remote app on the tablet.
In order to print I have to change the tablet's wifi connection from my home wifi to the printer's wifi which means that I cannot print straight from the internet.
I have tried saving web pages and then printing i.e not using the home wifi but a message appears on the tablet saying " Connect to Samsung printer".
My question is therefore, how do you print when you can only have one wireless connection on the tablet at a time i.e either the home wifi or the printer? Every time I want to print, do I have to change the wifi connection on my tablet from my home wifi to the printer's?
    Many thanks in advance!

    Hi Sujo,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums.  I gather that you are unable to print web pages from your Android Galaxy Tab 3 tablet because you are using the printer’s wireless direct feature which does not have internet connectivity.
Let’s get the printer connected to your home wireless network.  If you have a computer running a Window or Mac operating system it’s fairly easy to connect the printer.  Please follow the steps in the Installing the Printer Software for a Wireless Network Connection document for the operating system that is running on your computer.
If you only have your tablet available, please follow the steps in the post by @Jon-W titled “How can I setup a Deskjet 3050a/J611 to my Chromebox?”.  Please start where he says “There is another alternative but it can be hit or miss”.
Once you have the printer connected to your wireless network you should be able to print web pages as both devices will now be connected to your wireless network.  Please let me know how it goes.

  • Sony MDR-1RBT with Samsung Galaxy Tab 2?

I've successfully paired my new Sony MDR-1RBT Bluetooth headphones with my Samsung Galaxy S3 phone.  However, I can't get them to pair with my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 tablet.  Are they compatible?
I held the button for 7 seconds until I heard the sound and the red/blue lights flashed.  The Galaxy Tab was discoverable but never found the headphones.  I tried restarting the tablet, restarting the headphones, etc.
Any suggestions would be appreciated - these headphones were too expensive to not work with all my devices.
    Solved!

I figured this out today - I realized I had to hold the power button long enough to see a red flash and then keep holding until I hear a second tone and a red/blue flashing.  The unit paired right away when I did this.  Thanks!

  • Hp deskjet 2540, Samsung galaxy tab 3 printing

'Use the printer wirelessly without a router' page and 'hp all in one remote, print quality report' both printed very clearly and seemed promising.
I have since printed a document with two different apps
Polaris office 4 printed it boldly but with poor detail both as .doc and .pdf
HP ePrint printed with fine quality but very faint given the document was written with a bold font when printed as a.doc, and as a .pdf, printed boldly but with the same poor quality as polaris. Furthermore, since printing a pdf with ePrint I can only print a pdf and not a doc even though I have  un installed and reinstalled the app.
How is it possible for two prints of the same document to be so different?
Is it possible to alter the settings of the printer?
Is there an app compatible between Samsung and hp that works better than the ones mentioned above?
Please consider the fact I do not have a router or home Internet.

  • Request for Admin-BBY Sticky Post for new Trade In & Trade Up Samsung Galaxy Tab S $50 Offer Details

Considering some of the problems that people have had in trading in their qualifying working tablets not in Best Buy's trade-in system for a minimum $50 Best Buy Gift Card during the ending Surface 3 promotion... would it be possible for Admin BBY to post a new sticky message for the new promo starting today for trading in any non Nook/ereader tablet without screen/water damage that turns on for a $50 gift card and coupon for $50 off the Samsung Galaxy Tab S? It would be valuable to know if any of the terms of the trade-in have changed, and to head off questions about the inability to use more than one coupon per tablet purchase before you are inundated with complaints..
Thanks in advance! Nothing gets me into a brick and mortar store more assuredly than the promise of a discount off a coveted new piece of technology!

    Hello StellaDallas-
It’s definitely concerning when customers are experiencing disappointments with one of our promotions and I can certainly understand your desire to see something posted on our community to help head off any future issues.
The stores are provided with all the information that they need to process these promotions correctly and hopefully, we have also learned from any past mistakes as well when putting them together.  Right now, you can find all the details of the Samsung Tab 3 trade-in promotion here.  From what I can see, it seems to cover all the details of the promotion very well, including stating that only one coupon can be used per transaction.
Otherwise, as far as I can tell, the promotion is identical to the Surface 3 promotion, with the caveat that the trade-in must be used towards the purchase of a Samsung Galaxy Tab S.
    Thanks for connecting with us!

  • Store 360 not honoring Galaxy Tab S trade in

Reading here it, admins kep saying the tablet does not need to bein the trade in system, but store 360 in williston,VT refuses to honor the deal on any tablet not in the trade in system.
FYI I am trying to trade an archos 10.1 Gen 8 tablet. I've already wasted 2 hours trying to get them to honor this.
    Solved!

Best Buy is currently running a Trade In promotion to coincide with the newly released Samsung Galaxy Tab S. You can receive a minimum $50 gift card plus a $50 coupon toward the purchase of the new Samsung Galaxy Tab S when you trade in any working tablet.
The full terms and conditions can be found here; however, the specific details of the promotion are as follows:
    Offer valid June 27, 2014 - July 5, 2014
The tablet to be traded in must be able to power on to be considered working
Tablets with cracked screens or water damage are not considered working for purposes of this offer
This offer excludes Barnes and Noble Nooks and all e-readers
Qualifying tablets will receive a minimum $50 gift card plus a $50 coupon
The gift card received as part of this offer does not have to be used towards the purchase of a Samsung Galaxy Tab S
The $50 coupon is only valid towards the purchase of a Samsung Galaxy Tab S, can only be used in-store, and is valid through July 12, 2014
Even if your tablet doesn’t appear in our Trade-In system, which you can visit here, your tablet should still qualify for the promotion provided it meets the requirements listed above.

  • HP Touchpad Trade in Trade up - Samsung Galaxy Tab S

    Good Afternoon,
I went to store SNELLVILLE GA (Store 776) last night, to do the HP Trade up Trade In for the Samsung Galaxy. I was denied the ability to trade it in as it was not in their system or shows up as discontinued. Funny thing is that I showed them this forum where there were other responses from my HP touch pad on the Best Buy Wifi. Yet the supervisor Ashley would not budge and said she cannot help me. Unfortunately the manager was busy helping other customers and was unable to assist me.
If it's not too much trouble can someone from this forum help me? Possiby call the store and provide some guidance? I truly appreciate your assistance. I look forward to a prompt resolution.
Please note that my tablet is in great condition.
    No water damage,
    No scratches
    Powers up fine
    Has screen protector
    Thanks,

    Hello velez2311,
I was very happy to read that you set out to participate in our Trade In and Trade Up promotion with the Samsung Galaxy Tab S. I’m disappointed to hear that your experience at the Snellville store was not what you had expected when you attempted to trade in your tablet.
You should be able to participate in this promotion, regardless of whether your qualifying tablet is found in our trade in system. Our store associates should be knowledgeable about how to process such a trade in should they be unable to locate your tablet model in our system. That being said, some stores do have further limitations.
I have reached out to the Snellville store leadership with the details required to process this promotion. I suggest that you make another visit to the store and request a manager assist you with this promotion.
You may view the Trade In and Trade Up details  here if needed. I'm grateful that you wrote to us about your experience.

  • How can I bring up the menu to save as pdf if my tablet (galaxy tab 2 7.0) does not have a menu button /

I'm trying to use Firefox 10.0.5 on my Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 which is running Ice Cream Sandwich. My problem is I can't get to any of the menu functions, escpecially the 'save as pdf' because there is no menu key. I can't get the tablet version because it's a 7" tablet. I have tried the Beta (14) but it doesn't have a cookie manager like 10 does. Anything I can do ?

I have one particular site that happens to be a bank. It will not let me get the full desktop view, only mobile. Even with the phony addon that makes it think it's the desktop version of firefox. I'm assuming it's because it set a cookie but my only choice in v14 is to clear all cookies and passwords and I don't want to do that. There are cookie managers in v10 that let you delete certain cookies as oppossed to all cookies.

  • More tablet trade in issues

    To Whom It May Concern:
I've seen several threads on this forum that have resolved issues that folks have been having with the tablet trade-in promotion.  Unfortunately, I have one more issue to add to your workload.
I've tried twice now to trade in a tablet at the Winston-Salem store (Store 158).  The first salesperson wasn't very knowledgeable at all about the tablet trade in promotion, and I was sent away empty-handed.  The second salesperson was much more knowledgeable about the promotion, but was unable to trade in my tablet as it was not in Best Buy's system.  I was disappointed by this news, as I had perused these forums previous to my second trip, and had seen several posts regarding "recycling" tablets that weren't showing up in the system, and recieving the $50 gift card and $50 towards the Galaxy Tab S.
I spoke to the store manager about my issue, and he confirmed that he didn't have any way to recycle my tablet and get me the $50 gift card and $50 off the Galaxy Tab S.  I informed him of the language in the trade-in program, which specifically mentions ANY working tablet, but he once again insisted that he was unable to trade-in the tablet, or process it as a refund. It seems, from reading these forums, that this is a widespread issue, though I do appreciate that you folks do seem to be doing what you can to help your customers out.
The tablet that I am trying to trade in is a Hisense Sero 7 Lt.  (specs:{removed per forum guidelines}  I'll be monitoring this thread if you folks need any further information from me.  I would like to note at this point, that I am in no way trying to get anyone in "trouble" over the issue I'm having.  On the contrary, the Best Buy employees that I've enteracted with have been courteous and helpful, but simply not very knowledgeable about the tablet trade in program.
Thanks so much for your time.
    Regards,
    Tony
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hi Tony,
I'm sorry to hear about the difficulties you encountered trying to take advantage of our current Samsung Galaxy Tab S trade-in offer at our Winston-Salem store. We expect in-store associates to be knowledgeable about these type of offers, as well as the redemption process, so it's disheartening to learn of situations where that expectation may not have been met.
As long as a tablet meets the minimum requirements of this promotion, then it does not matter whether or not the model is immediately recognized by our trade-in database -- a process is in place to ensure customers are still able to receive the offer. Those minimum requirements are:
    The device must power on
The device must have a legible serial number
The device cannot have a cracked screen
The device cannot have any water damage
The device cannot be a Barnes & Noble Nook or eReader
That being said, I've passed word of the situation along to the store's on-site management team. If you haven't already done so, I'd encourage you to stop by the store at your earliest opportunity and to speak with a manager on duty. I have confidence that they'll be able to help you find a resolution.
Let us know if you have any other questions!

  • Tablet trade in declined

I tried to trade in two tablets at west lebanon, nh store.  Manager of store ( Michael {removed per forum guidelines}) insisted that I buy a surface pro in the same receipt for trade in. I explained to him tha corporate has clarified that it doent have to be still he insisted and said it is upto his discretion.  He also declined one tablet saying  it is not in database though it has been clearly mentioned in the blog here that it doesnt have to be.  So disappointing. Today is last day for trade in. Hope atleast managers consistently follow corporate policies.
    Disappointed customer

    Hi prav25,
Thank you for taking the time to sign up for the forum.  I can understand feeling disappointed if you perhaps encountered a roadblock while trying to trade-in your tablet and take advantage of the current $50 gift card offer.  The offer details that you mentioned above, which can be found here, are accurate.  A customer did not have to purchase the new Surface Pro to qualify for the gift card and a tablet did not necessarily have to be in our Trade-In system to be eligible.  As long as your tablet powered on and did not have a cracked screen or water damage, then it should have been eligible.
I am very sorry for any inconvenience you may have experienced, as that was not the intention when we offered the trade-in promotion.  We do have a similar tablet trade-in offer that is valid until 7/5/2014, so you could still potentially get at least a $50 gift card for your tablet.  I would encourage you to go back up to the store and have them take a second look.  You may even want to print a copy of the offer terms from the forum and bring that in with you.  If you encounter any additional issues, please let us know.
