3 days ago my nokia xl gallery and music stopped syncing the pics. After the factory reset,it's only syncing the internal memory but not the external memory.is there any solution?

Hi, Madhup. Welcome to Microsoft Mobile Community! When you say "stopped syncing the pics", do you mean that you're unable to find the pictures that are saved on your memory card? If yes, have you tried inserting your SD card to another phone so we can further check it? Before doing a factory reset, were you able to create a backup? Note that aside from your memory card, you can use OneDrive to store all your pictures and important files into the cloud. In case you're referring to a different one, do let us know for us to properly address this.

is in Firefox OS no file browser and no way to show my pictures and my music in a folder view? I have sorted all my pictures and music in folders but in the gallery and the music app everything is totally unsorted or show under "unknown artist". :-/

Thanks for using Firefox OS. There is a file browser in the marketplace called Explorer that let's you see your files in the folders. See https://marketplace.firefox.com/search?q=explorer

Problem with S60's Gallery and Music Player.

My question is about my phone's OS itself, I have an N81-3 phone (Symbian S60 3rd Edition FP1)
I had lots of videos, musics and apps on my 2GB memory card but yesterday I just noticed I can no longer access any of my images and videos using the phone's Gallery, also the Music Player does not show any of my songs, but I can access them using Tools>File mgr. and in Data storage mode on my PC.
I turned the phone ON and OFF, also removed my memory card and insert it again but still I can't see anything, gallery says "no images or videos"...
Applications and games which are on memory card are fine and I can still use them and problem is only about Music Player and Gallery.
How can I fix this problem?!
I must add when I tried to backup my images and videos, I noticed there are some files in the images folders which looks corrupted, their are like this: 8╟ΘukΩ+h.!~p or ─ë█#=

And when I tried to delete them I got this error: The file name you specified is not valid or too long.
or this one: The file "File name" is a system file, if you remove it, Windows or another program may no longer work correctly.
Also these files show a size even larger than my memory card, my memory is 2GB but those corrupted files in Images folders show 12GB!

Your content will only be where you put it. It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer.
You can transfer itunes purchases from your iphone: File>Device>Transfer purchases.
You can import your pics taken with the iphone as you would with any digital camera.
You can e-mail the other pics to yourself, they will never be of the original quality.
You can out a unique contact and calendar entry on the computer. You should get the option to merge the data when you sync.

Old Hard Drive Fried! How To Add Photos and Music from iPod to iTunes

Hello! I'm in serious need of some help.
My old hard drive died without any warning, so I lost everything that was on it. Luckily, my iPod is full of very important photos and all of my music.
How do I transfer these images and mp3s into iTunes on my new computer?
I've lost everything else, so the last thing I want to do is lose the only photos I have left along with the gigs and gigs of music I spent months gathering and organizing.
Please let me know the surest way to transfer these images and music files from my iPod into iTunes.

If you have any iTMS purchases the transfer of purchased content from the iPod to authorised computers has been introduced with iTunes 7. A paragraph on it has been added to this article: Transfer iTunes Store purchases using iPod
The transfer of non iTMS content such as songs imported from CD is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there is a manual method of accessing the iPod's hard drive and copying songs back to iTunes on Windows. The procedure is a bit involved but if you're interested it's posted in this thread: MacMuse - iPod to iTunes
If you prefer something more automated then there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. This is just a selection, you'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos, photos and games as well. If your iPod is set to update automatically take care when connecting back to your computer and an empty iTunes. You will get a message that your iPod is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press "Cancel". Pressing "Erase and Sync" will irretrievably remove all songs from your iPod. Your iPod should appear in the iTunes source list from where you can change the update setting to manual and use your iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it. Check the "manually manage music and videos" box in Summary then press the Apply button. Don't uncheck Sync Music it will be unchecked by default when you choose the manual setting: Managing content manually on iPod
Whichever of these retrieval methods you choose, keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync again. I would also advise that you get yourself an external hard drive and back your stuff up in case you have problems again. External drives are comparatively inexpensive these days and you can get loads of storage for a reasonable outlay.

I need help here. Everything in my phone is missing. I accidentally lost all data after disconnecting from computer and how do i retrieve them back? Since then, whatever pictures i took doesnt appear in Gallery and all my PDF documents are still missing and movies that I've downloaded too. How? Ive tried restoring. Still nothing. You wouldn't connect the iPod to the iPad for data transfers. Music is stored and shared either through a computer or iCloud.

I'm not sure what to do as far as turning my purchased movie into DVD goes either. I grasp that you uninstalled the Intel graphic driver and the catalyst control. You reinstalled the Intel driver and now you can view and hear videos on the Internet but you are unable to set the resolution as high as previously.
When I checked the specifications for your notebook I see that you have switchable graphics.

Please try this process.
1. Download the chipset driver, and both graphic drivers and save them but do not install them yet
2, Delete the chipset driver and install the updated one.
3. restart your notebook
4.Delete the Intel driver and install the updated one
5. restart your notebook
6. Delete the AMD driver and install the updated driver.
You should now have a Catalyst Control Center.
This should now allow you to use the higher graphic card which should support the higher resolution.

If you tried to restore to your iCloud backup and your photos didn't fully restore, first go to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup and make sure it isn't still in the process of restoring.
If the restore is complete and all your photos weren't restored, all you can do is try restoring the backup again. You might try the solution posted by ezjules in this discussion: https://discussions.apple.com/message/19518589#19518589. This involves opening the photos app after the phone restarts and you provide the passwords for your Apple IDs, then leaving it open for the remainder of the restore process.

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

This is a tedious solution, which is stupid! And some users report an inability to reauthorize a computer after an "en masse” deauthorization. I can’t believe Apple doesn’t provide a list or menu to find out which computers you’ve authorized! Obviously, APPLE knows (or else they couldn’t tell us how many computers we have authorized)--so why can’t they give us access to that information about our own computers??!!!
And for an already-authorized computer with a hard drive that’s since been replaced and upgraded from Mavericks to Yosemite, would it be recognized as a “new computer” and require authorization? Would its previous incarnation (i.e., with the old hard drive and OS) be considered a separate computer? Some users report they can’t authorize a computer after an OS upgrade because of that. I had this problem post 6.1. Not sure if it was a coincidence, but I'd just recently changed my password after being convinced I'd been hacked, due to being told I was entering my password wrongly, repeatedly by iCloud / iTunes. It turns out my iCloud account on my Settings -> Mail, Contacts and Calendars was listed as Inactive. Putting in my details, turning off Contacts over iCloud (thus deleting them) and turning them back on again, repopulated my contacts from iCloud with numbers attached to them.

When you sync with itunes on your computer make sure you have all the songs that you want to sync selected in the music tab in itunes when you connect your phone. Also with your phone connected click on the tones tab and make sure all the ringtones you want are selected there then sync

The price for Downloads is no different and even if it was I am happy to pay. This also applies to Movie rental which is crazy and extremely restrictive. I a supposed GLOBAL community why does Apple do this.
