Gallery mobileme size

how to make gallery mobileme size larger than 320 in width?

With a MMe gallery you can't change the image display size. You can set the size of the image that a viewer can download but not the thumbnails or slideshows. The largest size for display is around 1024 x 768 pixels. The thumbnails are 480 x 360 pixels.
If you want to have a specific display size then consider one of the javascript slideshows like those shown in these demo pages:
SimpleViewer and Flash Album Exporter
Flash Album Exporter Postcard and AutoViewer Slideshow Themes
Jalbum
Some are limited to 800 x 600 while others you can set the size as long as the original files are big enough.
Which images exactly are you referring to and what size do you want to achieve?

  • Photo gallery image size

    Hi. Is it possible to adjust the photo gallery module's code in a way that makes the image that gets displayed on selecting the thumbnail image display no larger than the browser? I have a client that's uploaded image that are pretty large and would prefer not to have to save them as smaller images if possible.
    Thanks
    Grant

    Are you by any chance saving as a JPEG or TIFF file?
    The image size that Photoshop displays is the uncompressed file size - if you save in a format such as JPEG the image is compressed, which will result in a smaller file size.
    Below is a comparison of the same image in Photoshop versus the compressed file saved to my computer:
    Here's a more technical explanation of what's going on: http://photo.stackexchange.com/questions/15184/why-does-photoshop-show-my-jpeg-files-unusu ally-large
    EDIT: If you want more accurate control over the image file size when saving, try going to File > Save for Web... You'll be able to choose your file format, and then see the resulting file size in the bottom left-hand corner of the window:
    I hope this helps!

  • Spry Photo Gallery Image Size via CSS

    Hello!
    I´ve been customizing the spry photo gallery for a couple of time, but got my little problem when viewing it on a mobile phone. When you load up the pictures with a size of 450 x 300 px for example, put up the right xml file with it´s width and height, so the gallery shows the pictures in that size. So what I want to do is that you can specify the image size with css depending on the device you´re watching the site with. There is div in the css called "mainImage" where the size is in %. When you change it to 75% for example. The pictures are correctly shown with 75% of it´s original size, but the outline (grey background) is still in 100%. When you make this grey background transparent it´s still there and moves the caption down. I guess there have to be done some changes within the SpryImageViewer.js, but I just know very little things about JavaScript. Do you have any clues how to change this to specify the image size via CSS?
    Thank you for your help!!!
    Kind regards,
    Joerg

    I see you are still using Spry 1.5. Have you considered upgrading to
    Spry 1.6.1?
    Also your XML is broken, if you open up your xml in a normal standards
    complaint browser such as firefox, you will see that it doesn't render
    a normal tree view as it would do with other xml files. So i suggest
    checking those errors out.
    Its mainly because you  forgot to close your starting tag of the
    gallerys node. (<gallery
    base = ""
    background = "#FFFFFF"
    banner = "#F0F0F0"
    text = "#000000"
    link = "#0000FF"
    alink = "#FF0000"
    vlink = "#800080"
    before your xml starts.

  • Web gallery file size...do I have this straight?

    I've read through the posts so far. I'm new to LR (waiting for my package to arrive, so still using the trial).
    I set up a collection of 57 photos.  Most were raw, the largest being 167,866 KB.  (kinda large)  I tried to upload from LR (thinking maybe it doesn't work in the trial version as I kept getting errors of one kind or another?) and found the total of the files was over 176,000,000 KB.  Hmmm.  So, I went back into PhotoShop CS3 (after another program that usually will batch convert files didn't work) and saved each with 800 ppi maximum on a side, and saved them all for the web. (That took a little time, but not too bad.) Then I had to import the new .jpg folder, and re-edit each photo to maximize their exposure and such.
    Must I do that every time I want to post a web gallery?  In other words, I'll have to keep the original (larger) files, and make a smaller set for web plublishing, and convert everything to a .jpg file as well?  (I suppose there's no sense in filling my server with photos that are much larger than necessary, but it seems like a lot of extra work.)
    Also notice, if I have to start again (it is taking a long time, but then it's my first attempt), the collection I've saved has all the Identity plates and information I've typed in going back to Lightroom defaults, and the order of the photos goes back to random (after I've meticulously tried to put them in order).  Hoping this is just because I'm using the trial again, but no way to know until the box comes in a few days (I hope).
    The feature that caused me to make this purchase is the ability to do these galleries.  I've been looking at templates, modifying them, and working on doing this, for quite some time now. When I saw it's just part of LR...WOW!  I did get excited!  What a useful and wanted feature!!!
    It's more than one question, I know, but I've so many more!  Will the learning every become adequate to do what I dream?  (This last question is rhetorical, by the way.)
    OMGoodness! I thought I saved the gallery in the Collections...clicked on it, and no pics, nothing I did (for the second time) seems to be anywhere.  I have a LONG way to go in learning to use this tool correctly!  Arghhhh!  ... Last revision...went back into the folder, and everything is there.  Wow!  Guess I don't need it in a Collection.  Awesome!

    These files were scanned. I'm sorry, I forgot that.  They're old pics.  Some were in .jpg format, but most were in .psd format.  I converted them to smaller files in the Save for Web Device in Photoshop.  My next gallery will be shots from my Nikon D200, and I checked...the files are about the same size as yours.  These scanned files were considerably bigger as the film was pretty old.  Did quite a few of them previously to last night, and used a dpi (or is it ppi) of higher than 300 I did the last ones in. File size varied from 1,201 KB to 16.765 KB. (That bigger one was a 5X8 school shot.)
    Will it normally send the files to the web full size and then just use the dimensions specified in the program?  I have to check how much space I have on the server, but I do have another gallery I want to make, and I found a great plugin (here on the forum) to add mp3 music to the gallery. (I know, more space, but love it!)  I figured 800 pixels on the longest side would be plenty adequate for viewing, and the gallery parameters are smaller, so that's fine.
    One thing I don't understand, it asked me to place the files in "photos," but I don't think it uploaded a folder of "photos" to the web.  However, it's obvious the files went.  I was afraid if I used the export, I was going to have to upload the folder with my photo files to the server, but I think it handled that.  I hope I get a user manual with my boxed product.  It can't come soon enough!  LOL
    By the way, I successfully posted the gallery tonight.  It's really great, and my son loved it.    I am SO thrilled with this program!!!

  • Gallery image size strangeness

    My link:
    http://squarehead.myvnc.com/sbliss/
    The illustration gallery works fine, all the time. The photos
    gallery, however, doesn't properly size the images.
    Example: Switch to photos, select second photo (with
    seagull), it extends beyond the container (the container IS the
    right size). Then select the third image of the coast and switch
    back to the seagull. Now it's OK. The XML contains the correct
    dimensions. Any clues?
    I'm on a Mac, 10.4.6 running Safari.
    Steve

    Hey Steve and civy,
    I was wondering if you guys could do a simple experiment for
    me. Does the problem go away if you add the following CSS rule to
    whatever file is providing the CSS for your gallery?
    #mainImage {
    width: 100%;
    height: 100%;
    Let me know if this fixes the problem for you. This sizing
    problem has only been reported by folks using Sarari on the Mac.

  • Flash Gallery --- Image size

    First, does anyone know of a good free program to create a
    flash gallery?
    I am currently using SimpleViewer and I have a question about
    the size of the photos. All the pictures are different sizes and
    SimpleViewer allows me to set a maxium height and width.
    (maxImageWidth)
    For some reason, it stretches some photos and it doesn't keep
    the size of the photos (I have it set at 480 for both height and
    width). I am looking for gallery that will allow me to 'auto' set
    the height and width so that the size of the photos won't be
    stretched out and will appear as I have uploaded them.

  • Web gallery full size images blurry on .mac

    My photos look great in iPhoto. But when I have iPhoto create a web gallery and sync it to .mac the full size images are quite blurry. The thumbs are fine, but the full size images look over compressed. I can't find a place to fool with image quality for these images. Any thoughts?
    Thanks in advance.
    -Buddy

    Buddy:
    I found that the full sized images that I synced to a web gallery in iPhoto were jpg compressed to a quality level of 9 out of 12 (as determined thru Photoshop). I do not notice any obvious degradation of image quality. At 200% enlargement I did notice some unsharpness. My files are compressed down from around 2 MB TO 840KB.
    Do you Twango?
    TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
    I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • Web Gallery Photo size

    How do you set the size ie Small, Medium or Large when uploading to Web Gallery? I see only the quality settings of Optimized and Actual Size. When emailing photos a window appears to set size how do I enter this feature for Web Gallery? Obviously I am missing something as the Apple help pages indicate this is achievable.

    Gordon:
    I see what you're referring to. However that paragraph describes the various situations that resizing photos can be done. The following paragraphs describe the amount of resizing for each of those functions. The paragraph for "Printing and albums published to your Web Gallery" it mentions only Optimized and Actual/Full Size.
    The paragraph for "Email or view-only website" referS to using them in iWeb I believe, not a web gallery.

  • Web gallery picture sizes

    How can I customize the size of the pictures that I upload to the web gallery?

    When iPhoto published a web gallery the file is resized to 800 x 600 pixels for the slideshow and individual display. If you select the option to allow visitors to download the photos the full sized, pixel dimension, image is uploaded as well as the 800 x 600 display version. The full version will, however, be reduced in file size which is equivalent to a Photoshop jpeg quality level of around 9 of of 12. The pixel dimensions are the same as the original file.
    Is there some other size you want to have uploaded?
    Do you Twango?

  • Need to ggallery mobileme

    Have a personnal gallery mobileme, i use iphoto to send my picture on web, wow!
    But i can have 2 gallery mobileme if yes how is possible, need to separate picture from iphoto
    if i buy another iDisk it's a solution? Where in iphoto to have another gallery mobile me?
    Thanks to take your time to help me.
    Mike

    Mike:
    You can only have one overall "gallery" per MobileMe account but that gallery can have multiple iPhoto galleries in it. For example: Toad's Gallery.
    If you want an iPhoto gallery to not be viewable in your overall gallery you can hide it via the iPhoto gallery Settings pane:
    Click to view full size
    When you do that you will get a URL to that gallery but it won't have any links back to the overall gallery: Space Station Photos. That gallery can be given a username and password so that you can restrict access to it except for those you give the username and password to.

  • Problem with mutiple photo gallery...

    Hello,
    I'm new to As3.0 (i'm a designer...) but I need to create a photo gallery, So I found a Tutorial On lynda.com.
    I'm using a code that works perfectly, and modified it (copy and paste it) to have 2 SAME photo gallery (using different images) displayed on the page.
    So I'm using a 2 thumbnails (one for each Gallery) and by scrolling on the X axis of each thumbnail you can see the differnet images availaible in the gallery. By clicking it displays the full size image in a container.
    So far so good.
    The problem is that when going form one gallery to another, the first viewed gallery doesnt allow the other gallery main size image to display simply because it is underneath it... Like if it was a layer under another  top layer...
    I would like to know if there is a way to make each gallery unload their full size image when clicking on the other gallery.
    SORRY IF THIS IS A BIT UNCLEAR BUT CAN EXPLAIN IF YOU ASK...
    HERE IS THE CODE
    var xml:XML;
    var xmlList:XMLList;
    var xmlLoader:URLLoader = new URLLoader();
    var container:MovieClip = new MovieClip();
    var imageLoader:Loader;
    var fullLoader:Loader = new Loader();
    var frontIndex:int = 0;;

    function mcunload1(event:MouseEvent):void
    fullLoader2.unload();
    fullLoader.load(new URLRequest(xmlList[frontIndex].attribute("full")));
    function xmlLoaded(event:Event):void
    xml = XML(event.target.data);
    xmlList = xml.children();
    for(var i:int = 0; i < xmlList.length(); i++)
    imageLoader = new Loader();
    imageLoader.load(new URLRequest(xmlList[i].attribute("thumb")));
    container.addChild(imageLoader);
    function changeThumb(event:MouseEvent):void
    segment = container.width / container.numChildren;
    frontIndex = Math.floor(container.mouseX / segment);
    if(frontIndex <= container.numChildren - 1)
    for(var j:int = 0; j < container.numChildren; j++)
    container.getChildAt(j).visible = false;
    container.getChildAt(frontIndex).visible = true;

    var xmlList2:XMLList;
    var xmlLoader2:URLLoader = new URLLoader();
    var container2:MovieClip = new MovieClip();

    fullLoader2.x = 275;
    fullLoader2.y = -185;
    container2.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_MOVE, changeThumb2);
    container2.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, showPic2);
    xmlLoader2.load(new URLRequest("data/images2.xml"));
    xmlLoader2.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, xmlLoaded2);
    function mcunload(event:MouseEvent):void
    fullLoader.unload();
    fullLoader2.load(new URLRequest(xmlList2[frontIndex2].attribute("full")));
    function xmlLoaded2(event:Event):void
    xml2 = XML(event.target.data);
    xmlList2 = xml2.children();
    for(var i:int = 0; i < xmlList2.length(); i++)
    imageLoader2 = new Loader();
    imageLoader2.load(new URLRequest(xmlList2[i].attribute("thumb")));
    container2.addChild(imageLoader2);
    function changeThumb2(event:MouseEvent):void
    segment = container2.width / container2.numChildren;
    frontIndex2 = Math.floor(container2.mouseX / segment);
    if(frontIndex2 <= container2.numChildren - 1)
    for(var j:int = 0; j < container2.numChildren; j++)
    container2.getChildAt(j).visible = false;
    container2.getChildAt(frontIndex2).visible = true;
    function showPic2(event:MouseEvent):void
    fullLoader2.unload();
    fullLoader2.load(new URLRequest(xmlList2[frontIndex2].attribute("full")));
    addChild(fullLoader2);
    container2.filters = [new DropShadowFilter()];
    addChild(container2);

    This is just a quick guess.  Whenever you call...  fullLoader.unload();  also call fullLoader2.unload(); and vice versa.

  • Mobile me gallery question

    hi. i have a quesion please: when i create a mobile me gallery, the size of the image to be viewed is really small. is there a way to adjust the viewing size?

    My question is ,when we sync with our mobile me gallery ,aren't we supposed to get our photos back to the computer's library automatically?
    No - you need to drag the photos for the MoblieMe galleries to the library
    and if not ,how do we get the photos and iphotos library and events back to a freshly installed operating system.
    The best way would be to load the backup you made just before erasing your drive and installing OS X

  • Can anyone help get me started on making a simple custom web gallery template?

    I have tried using the documentation and a freeware template as an example, but I am getting confused, and I think the template is over-complicating things.
    I have a web-template that requires the following to get images to automatically work in a gallery:
    Full size images in a specific folder
    Thumbnails or each full size image in another specific folder
    Simple HTML code for each image which allows for image title and description information
    The script takes care of the rest.  So what I want to do is have Lightroom genereate the images in their specific folders, and the HTML code on the fly for each gallery I wish to publish to my website.  I'm posotive this can be done, but I'm having trouble customizing the code.  I've tried looking for tutorials and help, but the documentation on this is limited, and I'm not a programmer.  I do however have enough experience with basic web design to be able to work with existing templates with relative ease but this is seemingly difficult as I'm not sure what each file in the plugin structure is actually doing.  Any suggestions on how I can make a simple gallery output like this?  Or a link for a good, solid, easy, step-by-step tutorial?
    Many thanks in advance!

    You don't need the intermediate step of uploading to Verizon; you can upload directly to Facebook from your phone.  You need to go to your Facebook account, and set up your mobile number; then you will get a personalized email address and you can send a text message with the picture and any caption you want to that email address and it will show up as a mobile upload on your timeline.
    You *used* to be able to text a status update or a pic to 32665 (FBOOK) but that didn't always work.
