Gallery Photos on 5230
I'm probably being really stupid but I want to rotate a coupl of the pictures in my gallery. I've managed to work out how to rotate the pictures but can't seem to get them to stay that way. What am I doing wrong.x
Guys i think he asking How to fit a computer wallpaper (1024*768) to 5230 screen which is 360*640.
there are two ways to do that 1; use a photo editing program on your computer to crop the image to 360*640 before you copy it to your phone or 2; after copying it to phone use built in photo editor in your phone to crop the image to fit the phone resolution.

How do I get my gallery photo pages in iweb to publish on my site ?

I have recently upgraded to iweb 09 from iweb o6. I have also upgraded from tiger to snow leopard and now have a terabite size hard drive. Iweb was working great before , but now i cannot get my website to upload correctly using ftp fetch. fetch is not the problem as i tried another ftp and had the same problem. My pages that have gallery photos on them will not show. my website is www.naomigrant.com the pages not responding are paintings sold and paintings for sale page. I have uploaded correctly , published correctly and everything looks like it has worked. But when i go to my site the images are not on those two pages. Images are showing in other pages. when i test it in iweb and it says you can visit your site , everything looks good there and you can see the images. So i am totally at a loss as to what to do. I have spent 3 days trying to fix this so far. Can anyone please help me? Should I reinstall i web?There is no point in re-installing iWeb, because after you have published it really is not an iWeb problem - if there is something not working on uploading the files, then it is really nothing to do with iWeb after html pages have been created.
If you are using Fetch to upload, then you have obviously published your site to a local folder? If so, are the photos there when you look at your local site? If they are there when you publish to a local site, then it is an error in uploading and if photos do not show, it means that some things are not being uploaded to your server correctly.
Have you tried using Cyberduck instead of Fetch? Cyberduck or Transmit are two of the better ftp programmes to try. -

You can't put a PDF into the photo gallery. The Photos app can only hold pictures and video. You could take a screen shot of whatever is on the screen of the device by tapping the Home and power buttons at the same time. That screen shot would be stored in your Camera Roll in the Photos app. -
A few of my photos in my Galaxy S4 gallery have suddenly had a grey box cover various portions of the photos. Some are half while others the grey covers almost all of the photo. Anyone know why this has happened and how do I fix it please? thanks for any help you can give.
Hey Adam..........thanks for responding to me. This issue started last week as I was backing up my gallery photos over to Dropbox from my S4. I have not made any changes to my device or plan, nor have I done any updates, downloads or damaged my device. The images in the thumbnails at the bottom are clear and visible, however when I tap the photo it pops up for an instant and then a grey box covers the photo. All my photos are on the SD card- none are in the cloud, which is why I sent them to my dropbox to back them up. It appears that there are about 5 or so of over 700 photos that this has happened to. I am attaching a few of them so you can see the problem. Let me know what I need to do to fix this. Please reply to my email (removed)

I'm trying to save my MobileMe Gallery photos per the online instructions. However, it only shows me one album available to download - it's from 2010. How do I download all my Gallery photos to my pc?

What happened to my gallery photos
Unfortunately, iCloud does not offer equivalents to Mobile Me’s iDisk, Gallery or Web Hosting services. You will need to find a third party solution to replace these services. You might consider DropBox, SugarSync, MediaFire or any other service that offers online storage. (not all these alternatives offer all the services previously provided by iDisk)
If you don't have your gallery photos on your computer, you may be able to recover them, but you will need to be quick.

N97 mini: folder setting for image gallery / photo...
Hi I've just got a simple question: is it possible to choose the images folder(s) which are shown in photobrowser or image gallery on a n97 mini?
now it shows all the images on my device/mass storage/sdhc card, and I don't want that to happen. I want to be able to choose the folders which are shown. now it also shows all icons of my pois inthere, so i've got over 400 images (all images which are used by programs) while there are only about 50 files in the images folder.
now i have to scroll through 350 images which i don't need, just to find 1 photo i want to use as a background.
hoping that there will be a software update which allows for changing these settings, so that it only shows the folders I want to use.

Go to Solution.You can use X-plore from "lonelycatgames" , to hide an entire folder, but those images are used by programs this would be of no use.
If you are interested to know how:
1ownload and install X-plore, their website, (trial works as good as full, with a just a splash screen at startup)
2: Open it, Create a folder any where on memory card. Or if you know the folders where "those 400" pictures reside, navigate to it.
3: click Options>file>attributes>and tick "Hidden" it'll ask "Do you want to edit attributes of all file in this folder?" click yes.
Now all the file in a particular folder are hidden, so they won't show up in gallery.

Gallery problem with 5230 on my 4th phone
Still have a problem with viewing my photos once I put a couple hundred in my phone under mass storage. Have over 3 gigs available on a 4 gig card and all my photos are under 200kb which are smaller than the ones my phone actually takes. As soon as I pass an unspecified amount of pics and files the gallery refuses to open up my image folder, says opening and that's it. The only way I can get in is if I'm lucky shut off phone and restart, try and get in before gallery sets up, problem is once I leave can't get back in. Another way is press off button scroll to remove memory card remove and then restart phone go to gallery push in card and see files but once again once you leave that's it do not use internet, have tried 3 different memory card and 4 new phones all with same problem does anybody know what the problem is, my guess is a software problem that nokia is not admitting to, supposedly this phone should handle up to 16 gig of mem but it seems to be having trouble with more than 2,
The images or their size will not be causing the issue. The gallery display is database-based, the database is used to store details of everyimage stored on the phone (irrespective of whether in phone memory or memory card, and irrespective of which folder they are stored in), and each time the gallery is opened the gallery is updated to check for images added to the phone since the last time.
I would suspect that you have nothing wrong with either phone or memory card, but simply that the sheer volume of extra data means that the processing of the database update is so huge that the phone is getting stuck - you appear to be asking it to update info on 1Gb of data all at once. It may not even be crashing, if you allow it to stand a longer time it would probably appear eventually correct - I have the same slow first opening of the gallery everytime I reformat my N96 and then restore the mass memory content back to the phone.
Try introducing the images to the phone in several groups of lower numbers of files to see if that makes any difference. -
Should I be able to see my MobileMe Gallery photos in iPhoto?
I posted this problem a couple of months ago but received no answer - I'm hoping that someone else may have experienced the same problem or someone can explain what it is that I'm doing wrong -
I upgraded from iPhoto '08 to iPhoto '09 in June 2009. I have nine MobileMe Gallery albums. Eight of these albums were created and uploaded using iPhoto '08 and only one with iPhoto '09. I have just noticed a problem which, I believe, has only happened since my upgrade and it's a strange one.
While scrolling through the Photos in my iPhoto 09 Library I noticed that for those photos that appeared in an album uploaded to MobileMe Gallery using iPhoto 08 I have the photo and immediately next to (after) it a white dotted outline of a blank/black space with the Title of the previous photo under it. If I select this 'blank' photo and drag it to the Trash it removes the photo from my MobileMe Gallery album!
This applies to every photo uploaded to all 8 MobileMe Gallery albums with iPhoto 08. The behaviour is not repeated in the images uploaded to the one album I have uploaded to the MobileMe Gallery using iPhoto 09.
Before I realised the significance of these 'blank' photos I selected them as I was scrolling through my Library in Photo view and moved them to the iPhoto Trash! Then I discovered that doing so removed them from both the album on my MobileMe Gallery and the MobileMe Gallery album that I see in the left hand column of iPhoto.
WIll I have to live with these 'blanks' in my Photos view forever?
I would be grateful if anyone can suggest how I might be able to fix this problem.

PS I have now created another 5 MobileMe albums using iPhoto '09. All these display correctly in my iPhoto 'Photos' view as well as on my MobileMe Gallery so I can confirm that the 'blank' problem only relates to MobileMe albums I created and uploaded using iPhoto '08.
Surely other people have experienced the same problem??Many thanks for your prompt reply. I don't have a backup drive with me at the moment but as soon as I get back to my Time Capsule I'll backup and do as you suggest. Hopefully, that will solve the problem.

I have created a web gallery with some photo pages and some movie pages. In iWeb, I can add the movie pages from my Web Gallery, but it does not seem to see the photo pages. The photo pages are definitely there when I go to .Mac. Any ideas?

PhilHave you tried republishing and seeing if the issue continues? Have you changed anything with your domain or possibly in iWeb to cause the problem?

Photo gallery photos will not open for desktop background selection
The photos I have in photo gallery will not open when trying to make changes to the background on desktop. Will also not open when trying to open them to e-bay.
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.

Web Gallery photos bouncing back
When sending photos from the iPhone to a Web Gallery, the message bounces back with this error:
Relaying denied, try authenticating.
I was under the impression that in order for a Web Gallery to show up on the iPhone, I had to be logged in correctly to my .mac account to begin with.
It's also worth mentioning that the Web Galleries created within iPhoto do not appear on the iPhone (Web Gallery Albums view) and vice versa. However, they all appear on the web via Safari.

Multiple Galleria Photo Galleries on same page
I'm trying to use multiple BC Photo Galleries and Galleria to display a project gallery of images on the same page. Also, I'm a beginer at using Javascript and JQuery, so this might be a fairly simple deal, but my lack of experience is probably getting in the way.
There are multiple sections to this project gallery; landscaping, hardscapes, night lighting, pools, etc. I'd like the user to be able to click on one of the gallery sections and the Photo Gallery switches out to the new selected gallery, so that only one gallery is showing at time, but they stay on the same html page.
I need help with the following:
1. When you first visit the page, I only want the first gallery to show up. Then switch out with the others when you click on the other sections. Is this possible with Galleria, because of the way it computes the measurements of the stage within 5 sec?
2. Not sure how to fix this error: "Init failed: Gallery instance already initialized". I know this is happening because I'm running the init function for each project gallery. Is there a better way to do this?

Bridge Web Gallery Photos Not Loading
Just upgraded from CS4 to CS6. I had been using the Create Web Photo Album command in CS4 which of course is no longer available.
So, opened Bridge and created an HTML Web Gallery. The HTML Gallery looks great and when I open it with DW locally it works fine in preview mode. After uploading the gallery to the server, the gallery page layout is there but the thumbnails don't load. Page is functional and when I click on one of the thumbnails its large pic page opens but again the pic does not load. The images, both the thumbnails and large images, upload OK and are present on the server.

I also tried two other gallery formats; Standard and Lightroom Flash. Both of these worked fine after uploading. So it appears to be a problem associated with the HTML gallery. I tried changing the page doc type to HTML 5 and HTML 4, to no avail.
Please help. Thanks.It's funny: I had just posted to someone else that they should update to 7.1 to get the web gallery to upload. I didn't realize I was not up all they way myself. So now I'm at 7.1.1.
Problem was, I still had upside down photos.
So the work around I employed was to export the edited photos out, delete the photos within iPhoto, then re-import the edited photos back in. Ah, now they show properly.
Not my favorite solution, but what are you going to do?
I still suspect there might something within the web gallery functionality, which wants to upload the Originals and not the Modifieds. Thoughts anyone?
