Gallery Prob on N91

Hey everybody, I have been using this fone since july 7,06.faced a little hanging on running applications (thats nothin at all),did not face any sms sending either,
but the problem is:
When my gallery is full with 300-350 hi-rez wallpapers with 12-13 folders and songs over 3.5 giga if I uncautiously disconnect the phone from PC when using USB Mode or any quick handlin (I M A BIT IMPATIENT!) the gallery shows nothin!no images, no songs no video nothin.
Then,At first I capture a image but to get no result!
Then I miserably have to take a hard reset by *#7370#
but no recovery.
So at last I have to full format the HDD.
And now I m tired of getting this done for several times as
I have to put my stuffs again to my fone.
And O yeah I recently upgraded its firmware to 2.10.013
everything is fine but its a pity that this problem still exists and the latest thing is the gallery shows no data even if I (guess so far) have not done anything.
So plz guyz comon and give some solution to dis wheather there is any othe way to data recovery.

Stop the USB mode before disconnecting from Windows task pane.
Or press the RED key on the N91.

Web photo gallery prob

sup,
when i try to use the web photo gallery feature in PSCS3 i get an error message " error disabling controlls for missing tokens , some file or folder for selected style might be missing"
wtf, ive been using PS for about 6 years now and i havent a clue what a token is , can anyone point me in the right direction,

Have never used the Web Photo Gallery so not sure what I am talking about. But, I remember I did receive an e-mail from Adobe a couple of weeks ago saying that Stock Photo service was going to be discontinued in March. Are these related?

N91 images in gallery problem

hi evry1 im new,
Just got my nokia n91 but already got a problem wich seems similar 2 evry1 else, i have loaded all of my pictures onto the hardrive using nokia pc suite, on the computer it says that my pictures are there on my phone but when i open the images folder in the gallery, they aren't there but my hardrive memory says that they are, so any ideas on how to get them back into the gallery?

no i just copied the pictures from my computer folder to the n91 images folder on the hard drive, it does say they are their when i click on the n91 images hardrive while connected to the computer and when i go onto the memory details of the hardrive it says the images section is being used so the pictures are actually on the phone they just arent being shown in the gallery.
but ive just found out that if i change the camera settings so that when i take a picture it saves in the phone memory instead of the hard drive, i then go onto gallery and the pictre i took is there so could it be possible that the gallery is automatically showing the pictures in the phones memory instead of the ones in the hard drive?
if so does anybody know how to change this?

N91 gallery video problem

all my videos and images are not in the gallery (saved in hdd)
i can see them in the file manager.. but in gallery they're not there,
i moved 1 image to the phone mem to test,and i can find it , so basically it is searching in the phone mem. all mp3s are working fine, anyone knows how to get the phone to look in the hdd

First check what is YR firmware by typing *#0000#.
if it says 1.10.xxx then upgrade it to 2.10.xxx by yrself or NSC.
BUT THAT IS NOT THE REAL SOLUTION ALTHOUGH IT WILL LESSEN ITS RISK 70%.
But if it is 2.10.xxx or after upgrade y need to do these things
[remember:it is tricky]
1. Connect yr phone as ausb drive to yr PC.
2. Open the N91 local drive.
3. Choose properties,then selct tools
4. Finally tick only the first box under tools
and see what happens...
Then if it does not work y badly then in need to do a hard reset [since it is the stable solution for me] but dont forget to back up the contacts and messages via Nokia PC Suit.

I have MX 6 and think this is a problem.
I can generate what looks like xml in the browser, but when I
try to save it to a file I get this sort of output for the above,

You shouldn't search for line 145 into the CFM file but into
the answer that is sent to the browser. The resulting XML sent by
the CFM is invalid so you have to identify first the line 145 into
the response and than to look where the line is generated.
As Don did I opened the URL into Firefox and when the XML
error displayed I look into the source (View Source). The server
instead of serving a valid XML answer a HTML content which is not
correct. (Maybe a CF server error ?!)

N91 HARDRIVE UNAVAILABLE?Anyone have the same prob...

After havin my nokia n91 for about 4 weeks, all of a sudden all the music has dissapeared and its telling me the hard drive isnt available?it wont let me format it or anything. anyone got any idea to what to do?ive updated the firmware but it still keeps losing contact with the hard drive on the fone

From some Tips I found:
13) "HDD unavailable" etc - In older versions of sw it was possible to get this and even with 2.xx it can happen (more rare). Make sure the battery cover is on fully (and its magnet is not damaged - check the little box in the battery cover with a paper clip for the magnet). Make sure USB cable is not connected. Make sure you are not running any applications that are using the HDD. Sometimes 3rd party apps it seems have been found to leave a file open on the HDD even when closed and then this can happen - you may have to uninstall that app. Some apps screw up there databases and it look slike a HDD issue. Finally if none of this works then you may have to do a HDD format, or a SW update/refresh or hard reset to clean out any offending applications.

4) HDD Users Guide : Nokia has now issued a HDD maintenance guide. Go to europe.nokia.com http://europe.nokia.com/A4158095 and select - Get support then from the list of phones select Nokia N91 there select User guides and from the list of languages select English. Then download the PDF. It has data about backing up and restoring (ie when to use PC suite and when no to), SW updates (goes through how to prepare for a sw update ), Themes and other TIPs. Alot of the tips from before seem to be in here. Also copying contacts to HDD has issues with 1.xx sw on GSM only China units (from Blogs), not on WCDMA units. Note WDRM rights will not be saved with a backup-restore (MSFT rules) but usually when you buy a song you get multiple synchs so it is usually not a problems.

Tutorial for a Spry photo gallery with thumbs and buttons ???

Anyone know of a a tutorial for building a Spry photo gallery with both thumbnails and next, previous, stop and play buttons(functions) ???

Adobe show the source for their Photo Gallery Demos, but that doesn't help me much ... I need a prober tutorial that tells me how to do : )
The only tutorial that I've been able to find, is one for Dreamweaver 8, without buttons - I'm looking for a updated version.

Uploading photos through web gallery not working.

People
When people access my web galleries and use the upload feature and it accepts the uploaded files, but, the photos don't appear in the web gallery or get synched to my iPhoto. However, using the upload feature through email does work!
Any ideas on that?
Also, once synched with web galleries on my iPhoto, how come the photos don't automatically appear in the event that the person uploaded the photo to in the fist place? The photos appear in the event under Web Gallery on iPhoto but not the actual event. Does that make sense?

Same prob here (EU).
Looks like uploading through the web interface (while browsing the web gallery) doesn't work.
E-mailing a picture works a treat, though...
Tried also using firefox (I'm on a MBP with all the latest software versions) but no luck!
I've looked also at the contents of my iDisk (it had to be in the loop!) and indeed found that the web gallery is under <.macmember_name>/Web/Sites/gallery/<id> and every picture that's in the gallery has its own folder named after the picture name containing 5 files: *large.jpg, medium.jpg, web.jpg, square.jpg and reflect-medium.jpg* (their meaning is quite obvious...)
The pictures I sent through the web interface didn't produce results in my iDisk whatsoever, while the one I sent using mail had this new folder-files created in the right way...
I think this upload feature is seriously flawed...

Problem uploading photos to "Web Gallery"

I have selected 107 photos to upload to my web gallery. I click "web Gallery" >

10 second later , I receive this

Are you running the latest version of iPhoto, 7.0.2? Additionally, do you have any quote marks, tildes (~) or other non standard characters in the gallery name or file names?

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

N80 Gallery Bug introduced in firmare 5.0719.0.2

In case you guys from Nokia didnt notice it yet ...
There was a new bug introduced into the Gallery application of the Nokia N80 with Firmware 5.0719.0.2.
The bug looks as following:
If you open the Picture Gallery there simply wont be any pictures or videos shown (from both internal memory and memory card). All one can see are the two weblinks in the gallery.
Only thing that help to bring the Gallery back to normal condition is to reboot the phone.
Several people who have upgraded to 5.0719.0.2 have this problem. And it definitely was not there before in any other Firmware Version 3.x or 4.x.
Is Nokia already aware of this bug and will fix it in a future firmware release? It really annoys me a lot. So much that i already think of buying a new phone from another manufacturer.
Besides ... Why doesnt Nokia release the 5.0725.0.1 firmware for European N80s? Maybe the bug is already corrected in this newer firmware...

To tell the truth this is one of the most common most annoying and of course older bug from N73, N80, N91.
Later nokia introduced new gallery in N93, N93i and N91 8GB.

N85 pictures not showing up in gallery

The pictures that I take on my N85 are not showing up in the photo gallery. Using the file manager, I can see that they are being saved to my memory card, but they do not show up in Photos. Really annoying.

im having a nokia n95 nd i faced same prob as u did..... when i open my gallery it shown the message that [no images or videos]..i found a solution..for that.the steps r below..
1-press remove memory card
2-than remove memory card from phone
3-switch off ur phone
4-switch on ur phone
5-put in memory card
6-wait 20-25 secs as phone will load memory card
7-open menu now nd see if ur phone have loaded the memory card
8-open gallery ,
u can see everything there back now
so enjoy................

N91 freezing even worse after update..

just got my n91, it was reseting on it's own, and i updated version to 2.00.052, and now it's even worse, takes almost 3-4 minutes when sending a txt msg or pulling up gallery etc.. please help

Hey.. It seems like your phone was not properly upgraded. Here follow these steps:
1. Back up all your data.
2. Format your HDD
3. Now update your phone again using the latest updater (V1.1.30)
4. Now before you put back your data install the sms accelerator from http://www.europe.nokia.com/A4158100
5. Now put back all your data.
It should work fine now.
MAYBE U WANNA TRY INSTALLING THE SMS ACCELERATOR FIRST AND SEE IF IT SOLVES YOUR PROBLEM.

N91 major problems

Within the first month of my having an n91 I was experiencing problems with the phone. It just hangs daily and does not allow you to even restart the phone without removing the battery. I thought it was a software problem so I had the firmware upgraded - three times! Now it has been sent off for repair. Has anybody had the same problem with the phone and if so what was the result?

hey guys. My n91 has given me probs over the last month.
I opened the bak cover one day. it gave warning msg. i put it bak on. then it immediately said hard drive unavailable.
After a couple days it came around. it said it needed a format. So i formatted it. it worked fine for a few days then when i'm playing music or something while accessing hard drive, then it wil freeze. Hard drive goes unavailable again. It comes around earlier then it needs another reformat. I do it, it works fine again. Then it goes faulty again after a few days. i eventually had to format it like 7 times over the past month.
silly phone. now i just dont fiddle too much.
can anyone assist me.
o yes i have also installed newest software update recently. one format ago. V2.10.013
I'm not too sure but i think when i opened the bak cover at that time, the disk was still being accessed and the sudden decrease in air pressure may have jerked the read/write head and may have possibly damaged it. You should know that all hard drives need a certain amount of air pressure equilibrium. That accounts for that hole you see on hard drives saying "do not cover".

Installed Update, Now Can't View My Own GalleryI'm

I'm stumped...
I'm working on my website, which includes a Flash photo gallery that I created in Photoshop CS3. All was working fine a few hours ago. I could view the gallery from the local folder on my MacBook, could also view it online.
Was surfing for some gallery options and got the "Update Your Flash Player" link... So I did. (Up to 10.0.22.??? -- it's the latest version, I triple-checked...)
Now when I go to my own website, I can't view the Flash gallery (same is true from the local folder on my computer). If I open the page, all I get is two links:
"Upgrade Your Flash Player"
"Click here if you have Flash Player 6 installed"
If I click #2, the gallery works (locally and online).
I tried deleting the plugin from my "Library" and re-installing. No help.
Tried simply re-installing about 5 times. No help.
Thoughts???
(Using a MacBook Pro, OS 10.5, Safari and Firefox -- same prob with both)

I installed Dropbox and it seemed to convert my photo for it's use. Now when I try to view my photos on iPhoto it won't work.
This is what happens;
You might see this message in iPhoto: "To open your library with this version of iPhoto, it first needs to be prepared." If you do, you can use the iPhoto Library Upgrader tool to prepare your library to work with the current version of iPhoto.
I used the Upgrader toll to prepare my library but it still doesn't work!

A Nokia N95 owner who just bought a Nokia N91 aswe...

Hi guys
popped out last night and met a guy off of Ebay, he had a brand new unused Nokia N91 with Version 2 Firmware, he got it as a replacement handset from his 02 insurance and then 2 weeks later he got a Nokia N95
i gave him £110 for it and im pleased with it, stll had the label on the screen! Result!!
i couldnt stand the lack of volume and audio quality while playing MP3`s on my N95, i wll still use my N95 as my main phone but have put a pay as you go simcard in the N91 and will use as a spare mobile whenever i go on a long trip
why is the N91 just so much better at playing MP3`s?
its louder, better sound quality etc
i feel like i been duped getting the N95 when it should have been as good for playing Music
so far the N91 hasnt crashed or rebooted or any of the problems that i had with my previous ones that i sent back with HD problems
anyone else done the same as me?

N91 is better in the audio department.
N91 has higher output power
N91 has better frequency response (from very low frequencies to very high)
N91 has better SNR (Signal to Noise Ratio, also because it has more output power)
N91 has better THD (Total Harmonic Distortion)
N91 has better response at very low frequencies (10-80 Hz range) thus is much better at outputing bass (not through the internal speaker but through the 3.5 mm connector)
N91 has better playback time.
N91 comes with 4GB or 8GB.
I have played with both the N91 and the N95, don't get me wrong, the N95 is not bad, but the N91 is better (WRT audio).
Of course the technical differences in the end mean nothing and unless you really want the best sounding device, then N95 may be good enough for you.
The N91 is not fragile, but it doesn't 'like' some of the third party apps. and that's when you start having probs.
