Gallery/slideshow widget with no yellow border around thumbnails?

Hi,
Does anyone know of a hack to get rid of the yellow border around Gallery thumbnails? Or, do you know of a third-party Gallery/Slideshow widget that has a cleaner look: thumbnails but no garish border?
Thanks!

You can't change the look of the thumbnail in the embedded gallery widget. You can certainly try to use you're own HTML widget but the gallery effect will not be the same since it will only be in full-screen mode once the user taps on the widget image as opposed to having the ability to swipe through the widget right in the book. If that's fine with you, I recommend two sources: Get a widget using JS/HTML code from a place like Code Canyon, or if you don't want to mess with coding, you can use bookry or bookwiddgets.

  • How to to print an .indd document with a border around the edge?

I have an Indesign document that I want to print with a slight border around the edge.
I print this after exporting it as a PDF.  But when I choose the various combinations of 'print printer's marks' in the export settings, none of them seem to work.
I want just a simple thin border line around the edge of the document to print.  I don't want the interior body to print (which it sometimes does).
I know this can be done, because on some of my .indd documents it works... but I can't figure out what I did to get it to print that way.
    HELP!
    and thanks....
    jn

Thanks... the visible guides setting change took away the purple interior rectangle.
But it still doesn't print the border outline.
Here in text form is a summary of the .indd file settings that does print a border correctly, as I like it to.
The relevant paragraph under Marks and Bleed has crop marks off... and document bleed settings on.
I wonder what I'm missing?  Sometimes I wished Adobe just used plain english... like 'print border outline of document'!
    Thanks!

  • My screen dims and shrinks with a blue outline around the window.  It won't let me do anything unless it goes back to normal, but it won't stay that way for long.  What is wrong and how do I fix it?

When I start up my screen will rapidly shrink to a smaller size with a blue border around the window.  It rapidly goes from full screen to this smaller screen with the blue border and back again.  It seems to be affected by the use of the mouse.  My mouse was old so I bought a new one....didn't help.  When I have to tabs or two applications open they seperate, shrink, and appear simultaniously on the screen.  This just started happening.

  • How do I put an outline border around a table i.e. without internal borders being displayed?

    Hi
I'd appreciate some help with putting a border around a table
    as I'm sure
I'm not doing this the best way!
I selected my table then chose a thin (size 2) border and
    desired colour.
The problem is this has put a border around every cell in the
    table.
Trying to remove the internal borders has been very
    frustrating!
Just be clear, when I say "remove the internal borders" I
    don't want to
merge cells I just want to stop the borders displaying.
    So...
Is there a quick way to simply put an outline border around
    the table?
What is the best method for removing internal borders?
Having got so used to the ease of formatting tables in MS
    Word this is a bit
    of a hair puller!!
    Thanks for your time.
    Happy New Year!!
    Ian

Don't use the property inspector to add the border - you will
    need to use
    css...

  • White Border Around Template Images

I recently created a "page layout" document from a template. This is my first attempt to use a template and it was all going well. Until I hit "print." When I print the document, the images that were already part of the template are printing with a white border around them. It looks fine in Pages and when I go to Print Preview, but it comes off the printer looking funny. What's the deal?

Thanks for the clarification. I had a hard time selecting that white border around the photos. I couldn't even figure out what it was for awhile. I think the printing problem is related to that white border which is an image, photoBG_triple.png, that is behind the photos & their masks & on top of the lined paper image, notepaper.png. I think all that layering looks nice on screen or PDF, but could be a printing nightmare. How does it look funny? And what kind of printer are you using?

  • Dynamic Border around image

    hi there,
i have a main flash movie (main.fla) which has images placed
    on the screen.
Each image has an invisible button placed on it.. (ie: the
    button has only
the hitarea defined and no rollover, down etc.)
NOTE: that the images are different in sizes. hence they have
    different
    width and height.
    I tried making a movieclip of 200 x 200 in size with a 1px
    border around it
and dynamically making it adjust to the width and height of
    the images. BUT
i seem to be hacing the following problem-
    1) for images that are larger in size than the border
    movieclip.. the border
    tends to thicken.
    2) for images that are smaller than the border movieclip..
    the border tends
    to get more thinner
    Required-
OnRollover of an image.. it should have a border around it,
    inorder to
highlite the selected image. Lets say, a 1px border and red
    in color. How do
    i achieve this?
Would really appreciate if someone would provide a simple
    code to achieve
this as i am not used to programming.
    Please help..
    thanx

yep, thats cause when you stretch your mc the lines will
    stretch with it.
if you are using flash 8, use the 9slice guides.
for the mc that contains your border go into the preferances,
and you will find a check box for the 9slice thingy (technical
    term)
check that, then double click on the library symbel to edit
    it.
you will find flash has drawn four dashed lines.
move these so that they mark the inward edge of your borders.
basically the area inside these guides stretches normally
    the corners don't stretch
and the edges stretch either horizonally or vertically
for more info look in the help.
oh, and don't transform (rotate skew etc) your mc once on the
stage or you'll loose your slices...
    best

  • Border around image links

What the heck is it with a blue border around image links in
CS3???? I discovered I can get rid of it by setting the border to 0
in properties but what a pain. I also noticed tables have a 1
border by default. I'm sure there is a place to change the default
    but I can't find it.
    Any suggestions?
    thanks,

    Sure. This set of stuff:
*zeroes out the margins and paddings
    * guarantees a vertical scrollbar (so no jumping between
    short and
    long pages)
    * establishes colours and fonts etc. for the tags I tend to
    use
    * gives me a way to float images left or right
    * defines a tag that I can use to clear floats (the hr tag,
    in this
case, since I never use an hr as a visual element: I always
    define
    borders when I need them)
    * styles the form and form elements
    I customize these to suit.

  • After effects CS6 Yellow box around the edge? I think its effecting my keyframes.

I'm unsure where these yellow lines have come from/if they're related to my keyframes not working. Whenever I try simple opacity 0% - 100% in two keyframes it snaps straight to the 100% on the first one.
Please help someone, i'm sure its a simple solution !!

The yellow border around the Composition panel is telling you that you have your Show Channels menu set to something other that the default---specifically RGB Straight in your case.

  • How can I easily create a lightbox from a thumbnail slideshow widget?

I have already created a slideshow using the slideshow widget with thumbnails. I have 9 images loaded into it with the thumbnails remaining next to them when the thumbnail is clicked so that I can click any thumbnail OR click through them with an arrow. BUT, I would also like to be able to click the 'image' (the hero?) and have a lightbox pop up with the image alone and arrows to click through this way as well.    How on earth can I do this without having to re-do my current design?  I cannot figure it out.
    Thanks for any help!

    Hi
You can surely achieve this using any composition , for example insert a composition and then insert another widget in that.
This way the image on click would show another widget with images or information.
Sorry but currently as you have mentioned , you are using Slideshow and we cannot insert other object in slideshow.
    Thanks,

  • Yellow border/frame appearing when in Process Slideshow mode

Help, I have spent hours making an IDVD with one menu, using the old travel theme from 6.0 I think. I have no movies only photos for a slideshow and about 7 chapters with total of about 900 slides. The music is in and all previews perfectly. I check the Project info window and all seems well. I, out of frustration, for the last time, chose best performance. I check the burning window, it renders the menu fine but when it starts to render the slideshow, some chapters go through just fine and a couple of others, show a yellow background which becomes a border around my photos. It is ugly, I didn't chose it and don't want it BUT I can't seem to get rid of it. I did burn one to see if maybe it wouldn't show up but it did. I am wondering if someone else has experienced this problem and can help me. I am making this for 12 other women and I need to get it finished. Thanks!

Since you're using Snow Leopard, I'd take a look at this fix for some of the crashing problems.
Follow the instructions exactly, no more, no less.

  • How do I print multiple (4) photos on one page with a border around each?

How do I print multiple photos on one page with a border around each? I've gone the contact sheet route and adjusted the number of columns but there's only outer margins and very little white space between the photos down the middle of the page.

    Ok, now I feel stupid! I always thought I was printing 6 x 4 but now I realise I can't have done!!
The photos that I used to print are approx. 5.2" x 4" (i.e. 4 fitted nicely on a page & I had to cut the boarder off).
I guess I just need to play with different sizes under the 'custom' option in order to get the biggest possible picture!
    Thanks for the help

  • How can I print with black border around edge of image?

I'd like to add a black border around the edge of certain images I'm printing. I know it's fairly trivial in Lightroom, but I can't see where this option is in Aperture. Is this lacking in Aperture, or am I just missing it? Many thanks.
PS -- I'm aware there are some plug-ins that claim to do this, so if Aperture can't do this, please feel free to chime in with comments on the best plug-in for this task.

Thanks, Rich. That's a good plug-in, and does cover what I need (with lots of other features, too). The problem, though, is it requires an export of the image, which I then have to either print from another application, or reimport to Aperture to print. I was hoping to find something that will either just apply the border to the print job, or that would serve as more of an Edit With . . . type of plug-in than an Export plug-in, so I can keep everything in one place. Thanks again.

  • Problem with white border around images

    Hey guys,
I'm new to the creative suite and have just finished running through all of the video tutorials, etc. I'm having a small problem which can be seen in the sample site I'm fooling around with here:
    http://www.andrewedunn.com/gsd/
I'd like to get rid of the small white border around the "GS" logo. It is an illustrator document.
Basically I put the letters in place, converted them to paths (so I can resize it) and dropped it in my GoLive document as a smart object.
A google such suggested rasterizing, but I couldn't get it to work after fooling with it a little bit.
Further, if I wanted to add a drop shadow to it, how can I do it so that it is transparent on top of the background images in golive? The one time I tried it, the drop shadow was placed on top of a white background.
    Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Are your background images always going to be displayed left-aligned on a black background and always the same size, so that the left half of the logo will always be over the photo and the right half will always be over the black? Or will the size or placement of the photos vary?
Are all of the photographs in approximately the same moderate tonal range, or will some be bright and some dark?
If the background will be consistently as you show it, you should be able to anti-alias your logo against a medium gray on the left and black on the right for acceptable results. If the background is more varied, you are not going to get good results with either GIF or JPG format.
    See this related thread:
    http://www.adobeforums.com/cgi-bin/webx/.3bc38b6e/3
    > Further, if I wanted to add a drop shadow to it, how can I do it so that it is transparent on top of the background images in golive?
Only by exporting as a transparent PNG, but then older browers won't display it properly.
If you are really needing to have a logo that casts transparent drop shadows on top of a wide variety of images, you might consider going the Flash route, even though you aren't planning animation. Flash has very good transparency handling, and there are Flash player plugins that are compatible with browsers that won't display PNG images.

  • Need help with slideshow widget appearing online

Hey out there a big thanks in advance for this.
I have slideshow widgets set up for my artwork and graphics pages on my website and they were working fine before the last Muse update.  I then went into Muse to add more images to said slideshows and export and upload them just like normal.  Everything went fine and then I finished uploading and viewed my site and the widgets did not appear...I also experienced some margin formatting difficulties but that is probably unrelated.  I have not changed any permissions and have not changed anything besides adding in a few images only to one of the two slideshow widgets.  I have completely deleted and re-exported and re-uploaded everything as in all of the files twice and still nothing.  I really need some help with this one as soon as possible.  Again a huge thank you.  To see my site please go to www.joeldsiegel.com  I have been using stablehost and the ftp client is CPanel if that is of any other help.  Thanks again!!

Sorry, should've been more clear on that. Yes, the images
have been converted to movie clips, adn the linkage ID's are
img1-img8. The reasoning behind that is that, at some point, new
pictures will take the place of the current pictures.
The attempt at randomness is actually a leftover from a
previous incarnation of this project. Ideally I'd like the pictures
to always play through in the same order, but I'd like it to start
at a random place in that order so it's not always the same image
coming up when the page first comes up. So, basically, I left it in
for lack of a better idea.
As for the setInterval() and runTimer() and "Void" question,
that part is complete patchwork on my part. I'm not surprised that
I missed something or included something extra. There isn't any
code beyond what's attached in my previous post.
I think, at the time, I was hoping that the "if(timePassed
    > nTimeout){" part was on the right track, but are you saying
that the void cancels that part out?
