Gallery style images? Thumnails enlarging -- how do I do this?

Just got iWeb this evening, and having a gas w/ it. Very cool, and I'm really surprised at all the customization that can be done.
I'm an illustrator and have depended on a buddy all these years that does my web site. iWeb is the chance for me to take the reigns. Despite being a professional, my needs are simple....
The meat of my site needs to be a portfolio of my illustrations (which Lord knows I don't have stuffed in iPhoto!). I have selected the photo page template, and dropped in several images -- making thumbnails (at least that's what I think they are). Okay, now I want the viewer to click on the thumbnail and a larger version of image pop up (on a new page?).
How do I do this? I'm not finding any controls for this in the inspector or a simulation of this action in the app? I looked through the "help" and then here (I'm sure the answer is around), but I'm not stumbling upon it?

Hi Tim --excuse me for jumping in, but I think you can do what you are needing wthout using iWeb. If all you want is a directory page, with photos tat act as buttons linking to larger images, you can do it all in iPhoto without using iWeb.
1. Assemble the photos into a separate folder in iPhoto
2. Choose File>Export and select the Web Page tab. In that dialogue box you can also select various size parameters, including titles and comments on either or both thumbnails and enlarge pix.
3. Set up a folder on your desktop to export to.
4. Click "Export."
Everything will be placed into the folder. If you then upload the folder to your website, it will place all the appropriate files in the right places, and you're done.

@Naiks, having suffered through unsuccessful synching attempts for Calendar and Contacts myself, l would suggest you try the following:
UNINSTALL iCloud control panel from your PC. Seems silly, but do it.
Go into Outlook, and look at the very top menu. Click FILE, then ACCOUNT SETTINGS, then click the popup box.
You will see a list of all your email accounts. Make sure that ONE of them has a checkmark against it. If not, select the account your want as your default, and click "set as default.
Exit out of Outlook and reboot your machine.
Now reinstall iCloud, check CALENDAR and CONTACTS, and do as instructed when prompted.
Reboot for good luck and now launch OUTLOOK. All that remains is to locate your iCloud Contacts and Calendar files, and make them your default.
IMPORTANT: Don't panic if you can't find your contacts -- they're there. Click CONTACTS and you'll see you have several available contact files. Locate the one label "iCloud" in grey type. Right-click on it, select PROPERTIES, then click the Outlook Address Book tab. Check the box that says something like "Make this my default Outlook Address Book." Keep clicking "apply" and "okay" until you've exited out of the dialog box maze.
You may have to do something similar with your Calendar files. I dd not, but if you need to, do it.
Everything should now sync pretty seamlessly.

I enter misc. items in each metadata file, ie. document title, author, description, keywords, copyright notice, etc. Each image has it's own metadata file, with unique keywords, which are unique to that image. The keywords then show up on the right side of PSE organizer under 'imported keyword tags'. Then I can select a keyword, unique to that image and wa...la... that image only appears in organizer. I have been doing this for years (like probably 10). But this is the first time I have experienced the duplication issue.
Not adding any auto-adjustments in Organizer as far as I know.
The names are not duplicated in organizer, but appear as ie. scnr0122.jpg and scnr0122-1.jpg. But the '-1' is not found on my server. Apparently they are being added from another source. Is it possible they are being pulled from a cloud server, ie. creative cloud or revel?? I do have the same files on those cloud servers, but am not intentionally duplicating the import.

“Save” is not a term used with LR to create images. What are you trying to do, exactly, in terms of LR menu options?
Are there questions marks on the thumbnails for the images that say File could not be found?
Sometimes a screenshot can communicate things quicker than words.

My Illustrator file icons don't match what the actual file image is. How can I fix this?

I'm using Illustrator 5.0 with MAC OS 10.8.4 and the Illustrator file icons are different thatn the actual file image. It's using the same image for 5 different files. THey all started out the same, but I edited them and then did a save as, but the file icon image didn't update. How can I fix this? I tried resaving the files and copying the files, but it didn't work.

Are you on CS5 or the very old AI5, which a few vinyl cut shops may have?
Do a save as , and enable PDF Compatible. That usually helps if the icons are blank, but may help you.
If that don't help do a command I on the file, select the icon, and hit the delete key to see if anything happens.

My photo booth sometimes freezes. The screen turns purple and the image glitches. How do I fix this?

i was instructed to email images as 300dpi or they would not be accepted. How do I save my images with this setting using Photoshop Touch or Photoshop Express? (Related: how do you assess these settings, and find file names?)

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but at this time, PS Touch only outputs at 72 DPI (but if you have Photoshop or similar, you can export it from PS Touch (as a PSD) and bring it into Phototshop and change the DPI).
Not sure what you meant by finding file names. Were you asking how to find your PS Touch projects before or after export?

Colors not saving correctly when image is saved, how can I fix this?

Hi! I've been a photoshop user for my newish photography business since this past summer. I honestly still have a lot to learn, but thankful my images have always been spot on, until now...you see, I recently discovered that when I open my png or jpeg files (these images were saved in ps cc), the photos appear to be dull and muted. It ls like the vibrance/saturation has been shifted down and yellow tones removed or muted greatly. I even saved some fo these files on a disk and reopened them onto my computer and they still look awful. I did not change any of my settings and to be honest, I don't know which ones are the best to work with since every photog I've asked has told me something different....buuuuut beside the point...nothing has changed. My profile settings are the same and I am confused and rather frustrated. If you know how to fix this issue, please share with me because I am at a loss.
How I edit photos:
Import into lightroom
Edit with preset
Export with preset into PS CC
Do finishing touched
Save as jpeg
Here is a screen shot from my computer. The photo on the right is the saved photo and the left is the photoshop photo. If you can tell, the photo on the left is dull and appears to be very flat. It also does not have the golden undertones that the ps cc photo has, which is what I want...

What color space are you working the images in? The Info panel and the little status box at the lower-left of the editing canvas can be set to show you your current color profile. I set the Info panel to show me the profile myself.
When you do File - Save As to save the JPEG, are you saving the color profile with the JPEG?
Lastly, when you say "the photos appear to be dull and muted", how are you comparing them (specifically)? Are you sure the application you're using to compare them with what you see in Photoshop is color-managed?
I suspect what may be happening is that you're editing your photos using a wide gamut color space, then either saving the JPEG work product without a color profile or viewing it in an application that does not support color-management.
Regarding someone telling you the best settings to use... The thing is, it's not really possible to suggest specific settings without knowing a lot more about your particular working environment. We don't know, for example, whether the printing process you're using will properly interpret the color profile. You should regard with suspicion any advice that suggests "set it and forget it" settings without trying to understand your color-management needs.

Iphoto seems to be deleting old (several years old) images that hav the same name as new images being loaded. how can i fix this?

I was browsing some old photos in iPhoto11 and started getting 'image not found' errors. After much investigation, rebuilding thumbnails and extracting photos using fatface iphoto library manager it seems that newer photos with the same name as very old photos (Canon camera naming scheme IMG_nnnn.jpg) have caused the old photos to be deleted? I thought iphoto handled this situation but it seems not.
I never got any error or warning messages on importing the newer photos. Naturally the old ones have been in there for years and were originally imported using older versions of iphoto.
As it happens I do have all these old photos stored elsewhere so its not a case of panicking but I could do with a solution going forwards.
Has anyone else encountered this (and of course if so how did you resolve it?)

Every new import to iPhoto goes into a new folder on the HD, so no, iPhoto doesn't overwrite older images with the same filename.
Are you running a Managed or a Referenced Library?
A Managed Library, is the default setting, and iPhoto copies files into the iPhoto Library when Importing. The files are then stored in the Library package
A Referenced Library is when iPhoto is NOT copying the files into the iPhoto Library when importing because you made a change at iPhoto -> Preferences -> Advanced. (You unchecked the option to copy files into the Library on import) The files are then stored where ever you put them and not in the Library package. In this scenario you are responsible for the File Management.

- What version of iPhoto.
- What version of the Operating System.
- Details. What were you doing when the problem arose?
- Did it ever work properly?
- Are there error messages?
- What steps have you tried already to solve the issue.
Anything else you can think of that might allow someone else to understand your issue.

I had the same problem. I had to take all my pictures out and restore my phone. Now my GPS will not work with my foursquare app. I try to talk to someone and god forbid if I put the phone between my shoulder and my cheek, I am forced to make a 3 way call or put someone on hold. I tried to hit home button but then I created a contact while talking to my mom. So far, this is my first iphone and I hate it as well but I'm suck with it at this point.

I'm pretty new to Muse so I don't know a lot about it, but I researched a lot and didn't find an answer to this question.
I'm trying to make a portfolio website. The website will be a 12 thumbnails. But each thumbnail is one project, not an image.
When you click one of the thumbnails, I want it to be a lightbox that will show embeded videos from vimeo mixed with images.
Ex: A coca-cola projet.
Main page has a thumbnail of a coca cola image. When you click on it, it opens a lightbox with a coca-cola film, when i click to the right arrow, it shows a cocacola poster, then another poster, then another video. (but they are all part of this gallery, that is inside the thumbnail.
Can you guys help me?

I don't understand why my thumbnails don't work.
I dragged a composition lightbox inside another one. But I still have the first lightbox there and can't delete.
When I try my wabsite i see this:

Like it is making a double lightbox.
but it doesn't show the images, it's like the first lightbox is on top of the second one.

Photo Gallery w/ Images adjusting size based on Browser size.

I'm new to web design but I'm trying to create a photo gallery with images that dynamically size based on the size of the browser window. Similar to this http://pageduke.com/#/Residential/Colonial%20Revival-Nashville1/1. I know th is a flsh site, but is there a way yo do it in HTML in Dreamweaver, maybe using Spry. I don't know Jquery, but is it possible that way.

Woo is not a gallery. It's just a slider - a panel widget, which should
be adaptive/responsive by default. The problem is that for years, the
typical jQuery plugin writer simply copies stuff done by others so
someone finally realized you don't have to fix a width and a height if
you know how to write a stub script
Galleries are totally different. To do a responsive gallery is not so
easy and the only ones that come remotely close - using open source
scripts - do require an initial width. They will not scale both up and down.
I gusess it depends on what the original poster wants and/or cares about
in terms of efficiencies and functionality.
