Game Board on Pogo Games is partially hidden

For some reason the game board on my Pogo games has slid or moved over under the chat area. I cannot get it to move back. I can enlarge the outside screen but the game board doesn't move. Their support services have been unable to resolve the problem. I have tried changing the screen resolution, but it doesn't help. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

JPopupMenu Partially hidden behind Windows Taskbar

I have a JPopupMenu that is made visible when the user clicks an icon in the notification area (aka system tray). On Wndows, the popup is partially hidden by the Task Bar, and I'd like it to be in front. But I can't see any methods in JPopupMenu or its super classes that accomplish this, such as Window.toFront(). However, even that method only ensures the Window is on top of other windows in the JVM, and whether or not it ends up on top of native windows or windows in other JVMs is platform-dependent. But my experience with using Window.toFront() on Windows OS has been positive.
Just to avoid a red herring, there is a problem with Windows, fixed by XP SP3, wherein tooltip menus for icons in the notification area are obscured by the task bar. I'm running XP SP3, however, and popups from the notification area for non-Java apps are shown on top of the task bar.
Does anyone have a suggestion for how I can get the JPopupMenu to display in front of the task bar? I could use JPopupMenu.setLocation() to palce the popup just above the task bar, but that will be visually undesirable.
I'm using the SystemTray class from the JDIC library because my app needs to work with Java 5. Since the popup menu is a jdk class, I'm assuming the problem is not in JDIC, but I'll check that source vector as well.

It seems the problem is indeed with JDIC. [This post|http://forums.java.net/jive/thread.jspa?messageID=273514&#273514] from the JDIC forum says the problem only occurs when org.jdesktop.jdic.tray.TrayIcon is used with Java 6, not with java.awt.TrayIcon using Java 6, and not with org.jdesktop.jdic.tray.TrayIcon using Java 5 or earlier. So the solution is to detect Java version, and use JDIC classes only for Java version earlier than 6. It's an ugly solution, but unless/until the JDIC code is fixed, I don't think there's any other choice.

Lightroom 1.3 Web Module - Appearance Panel Partially Hidden

When I go to the Web module, the right margin of the Appearance panel is partially hidden such that I can't access all of the controls....it's driving me nuts. Is this just me or is anyone else having this problem. I can't figure out how to shift the panel horizontally. Any help would be appreciated. Happy New Year!

Try restarting LR. Try cycling between Fullscreen modes with 'f'.
Try Shift-tab a couple times to hide and show the panels to see if this affects the panel. Are you attempting to use, using two monitors?
Obviously I grasping at straws here, but this ain't usual!

Facebook's Left Menu of home page is partially hidden and cannot be open for viewing

Left hand navigation and drop down menus used to be scrollable if they went off the screen. Now they are fixed and items cannot be viewed if they are hidden (i.e., clicking "More" on the Apps bookmarks does not show all apps that are bookmarked. If the number of "Notifications" drops down below the browser window, it is no longer scrollable, hence I cannot see them all. I am limited to viewing only what is displayed in a fixed browser window. I don't know if this is a Firefox problem or Facebook, but I have asked other Facebook friends and they are not having the same problem. I also didn't seem to have this problem in Google chrome.

Video commands partially hidden when I look at finished project

I remember seeing somewhere that this happens because the project gets too big. I just can't remember how to resolve the situation. This only happens in a few of the sections.

OTHER is a legitimate category and if you ran the re-index of Spotlight, that will reflect how the various files are defined by Yosemite.

You can move folders around but personally I see no point in it. If I can find a specific file, that is what I deem to be important. That display has had a bug in it from the inception of Yosemite.

Moving a partially hidden window

I normally run my MBP with an external monitor but the other day I used it standalone so all the windows got "shuffled" onto the MBP screen.
The problem is that the Preferences window for MSN Messenger for Mac 7 (latest version) is now stuck, paritally off the top of the screen such that the title bar and menu/tab bar are behind the OS X menu (in fact, it must be even higher than that).
As I can't see the title bar I can't move the window. I tried moving the menu bar to the external monitor but all that happened was the Prefs window moved with it.
How can I move it? In some Linux window managers (KDE I think) you can move a window by middle-clicking anywhere in the window and dragging while holding down the Alt key - is there a similar thing in OS X? I've tried every mouse button/modifier key combination I can think of.

It isn't displayed, i.e. it disappears. Remember this is a MS app and appears to follow the semantics of modal dialogues in Windows, i.e. they aren't "real" windows. They are a PITA in Windows as it's possible to hide them with another window and they are a pain to find - they don't appear in window lists and you can't Alt-TAB to them.
oh, yes, I forgot about that. I know that MS office Spaces integration was supposed to be fixed in Snow Leopard but I guess that didn't happen with MSN messenger. that's probably also the reason those apple scripts you tried didn't work.
Looking at this from a different angle, where are window positions likely to be saved as the position is retained across reboots. Is it the OS that handles this, or the app itself?
the window positions of an application are stored in the preference file of that application in /users/username/library/preferences. if you quit an application, delete its preference file and relaunch it then it should display on the default screen with default values. however, some apps (like Mail) keep important data in their preference files and deleting them will wipe that data.
Thanks. As you said about Mail, MSN Messenger stores all its data in their, e.g. account details, and the plist file is binary, but a quick Google revealed plutil so I converted it to XML, edited it in vi, and converted back to binary +et voilà+ it worked!!
The window position was 0, -56 so I just changed it to 0, 56
that will of course, do it.

Spotlight menu hidden behind menu bar in Leopard when "Show Desktop" Expose

The Spotlight menu is partially hidden behind the menu bar in Leopard when using "Show Desktop" (part of Expose). I tried using "Show Desktop" with keyboard shortcut keys and screen corners, and this behavior still exists. I tried toggling Spaces on and off, and the behavior still exists.
This has been an issue since day one of using Leopard, and on every bootup. It's absolutely reproducible, and this is a bug, unless someone can prove me wrong? (Hopefully, I'm wrong.)

Fixed in 10.5.2.

In your code you have inlineStyle="height:180%;"
Get rid of that. Never attempt to stretch a component vertically using inlineStyles with %.
Use table properties: autoHeightRows = N and ContentDelivery = immediate, where N = to the number of row tall for the table.

Toolbar hidden and clouded in the background

Hi
Part of the Navigation menu - the home button, reload button, stop loading current page, Google PR button, etc - have disappeared from my Mozilla browser and I can't figure out how to get it back. The File, Edit, etc toolbar is fine and is still there but parts of the Navigation menu appear to be gone. The weird thing is I can see some buttons hidden in the background at the top of browser almost like they're clouded and partially hidden, if that makes sense. They can't be accessed or clicked though. I've tried all the troubleshooting methods I can find - reset toolbar, customize menu, add buttons, etc - but nothing works. I just downloaded Mozilla version 4 but the same problem persists. Any ideas how to fix this?

Can't make buttons hidden in normal state.

I've been reading the boards about how to make buttons hidden in the normal state and that all you have to do is turn the opacity down to 0, but that doesn't seem to be working for me. The buttons (such as the triangle or solid line built in to DVDSP) just turn grey.
Is there something I am missing?
Please advise.

5. Policy conversion from or to different vendors
I have been working on firewall policy analysis industry for more than 10 years. The algorithm I use is the best in the industry from what I can tell. I want to use this technology to improve firewall management.
I would like to ask if there is any interest in this tool? What kind of requirement from firewall administrator? In what enviroment do you prefer to run this tool (Linux, Windows)? Any suggestions on what information should be included in the output?

To hide some objects frome a collection, try using the Include rule in List Tile View Data / Style settings > General settings
It is the same place where you define the collection that is displayed.
