Game center bugs, lockups and not updating friend details

With the new ios7 game center I have found a couple of issues.
Firstly, it does not seem to update the name of my friends when they chnage theirs. It keeps showing their old name. Why is it not updating the credentials?
Even more seriously, there are 2 ways of getting the application stuck, at least on the ipad. The iphone seems not to suffer from the automatic jumping described below.
At the bottom, select the "Friends" tab. Select the "Points" view, which includes yourself (Me) in the list of friends,
Select yourself (Me) in that list, and you'll notice the app will jump back to the first tab "Me".
Try to move back to the Friends tab, it will immedeately jump back to the "Me" tab. You'll have to kill the app to see your friends again.
Similar method, but worse: At the bottom, select the "Friends" tab. Select the "Points" view, which includes yourself (Me) in the list of friends,
Don't select anyone yet but move to the "Games" tab and then back to the "Friends" tab. This will autoselect the player "Me" and you'll notice the tab also jumps to "Me" but the "Friends" tab view stays, and actually the whole app is now stuck.

Try this:
Open the Game Center app.
Choose "Me" at bottom.
Scroll down
Tap "Account: [youremail]@[youremailprovider.com]
Tap "Sign out."
Then sign in with whatever Apple ID you like.
If this does not work, then there is an issue with your Apple ID account. It would need to be resolved by either
removing any email addresses associated with your Apple ID that is also associated with another Apple ID [like your Dad's Apple ID] at appleid.apple.com [choose "Manage Your Apple ID"]
by going through the Express Lane to revolve miscellaneous issues with your Apple ID expresslane.apple.com.

You can't open the application "Game center" because it is not supported on this type of Mac.

Yesterday when I opened the Chess on my macbook pro, It kept popping up the alert"You can‘t open the applicaion"Game center" because it is not supported on this type of mac." Then I tried to open my game center on my mac, it can be opened but it blocked when I logged in . After I entered my user name and password it direct me to an blank page and then redirected back to the login page again.
I want to know how can I dismiss the alter and make the Game center work. Thanks.

Do a backup.
Quit the application.
Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J. When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder. Select Library. Then go to Preferences/com.apple.gamecenter.plist. Move the .plist to your desktop.
Restart, open the application and test. If it works okay, delete the plist from the desktop.
If the application is the same, return the .plist to where you got it from, overwriting the newer one.

Where are you trying to log in? You should be able to change your ID at http://appleid.apple.com - can you log in there?
Before you change your ID you should log out of the iTunes Store and on any devices which are logged into iCloud. Then once you've changed it you can log back in with the new ID. (Your iCloud synced data will disappear from the device when you do this but will reappear when you sign back in - give it time).
If you are unable to sign into http://appleid.apple.com you will need to contact Support. Go to http://iforgot.apple.com and sign in with your iCloud login. A new password will be sent to your associated email address. If this doesn't work you will have to contact Support. Go to https://getsupport.apple.com . Click' See all products and services', then 'More Products and Services, then 'Apple ID', then 'Other Apple ID Topics' then 'Lost or forgotten Apple ID password'. Special Ledger records are coming to the PSA and not updating in the data target in the month end and the info package is failing - because of that we are doing manual updating from PSA to the data target -

If your Infopackage uses Only PSA and Update subsequently in Data Target on the Processing tab, then you will need to add a process for Read PSA and Update Data Target in your process chain, after the Infopackage load process. Then it will take data from the PSA and load to the data target.

Podcasts episodes not visible and not updated

Since 2 weeks I have noticed that in iTunes for Windows new postcasts episodes are no longer visible in the Postcast section. The result is that as no updates are shown (also not after using the refresh option) the new episodes are not downloaded either.
The strange thing is that when I look in the iTunes Store or create a Smart playlist with Grouping set to Podcast the episodes are visible.
Any suggestions why the episodes are not visible and not updated?

Does this fit your situation? iTunes will stop updating a podcast subscription if you have more than five episodes downloaded but not listened to, as detailed in this page:

You can click Yes to continue downloading additional episodes. Or you can just listen to any part of any episode and a new episode will download at the next update.

Mac time freezes and not updating

After upgrading to osx yosemeti the mac time freezes frequently and not updating...I have to manually everytime to see the current time..

System Preferences/Date & Time/Date & Time - is it set to Set date and Time automatically? If so, try the following.
Do a backup.
Quit the application.
In Finder hold down the option/alt key while selecting the Go menu item. Select Library. Then go to Preferences/com.apple.systempreferences.plist. Move the .plist to your desktop.
Restart and test. If it works okay, delete the plist from the desktop.
If the same, return the .plist to where you got it from, overwriting the newer ones.
If you want to make your user library permanently visible, run the below command in Applications/Utilities/Terminal.
chflags nohidden ~/Library/
You will need to do that after any updates.

You cannot now. The only way to reset the passcode and remove the disabled status is to restore the device. There is no way to make a new backup now. That is actually the whole point of the passcode attempt limitation and the disabling of the device - to keep someone without the passcode from getting at your data. Once disabled, your sole single recourse is to restore it in order to be able to do anything with it.
At this point you can restore from your existing backup, or as new. Either way, you've already lost the current data on the device.

Hey, thanks for replying. It is the user who needs to manually submit the page.
Basically our page has a hidden div with various text fields and combo boxes. When the user click on specific links on the page, this div is populated and made visible to the user in server side code.
What happens for all other browsers other than firefox 23 onwards (worked fine in 22) is that after the user clicks on the link, our server side code is executed via a HTTP post. The server then renders the hidden div and sends the additional HTML down to the browser via ASP.NET AJAX.
With Firefox 23, the additional HTML is not rendered on the first postback. Subsequent clicks of the same link execute the same server side code but the additional HTML is rendered on the browser without issue.
We've done a lot of debugging now and the issue is localised to a specific third party supplier's (Infragistics) control. I think Firefox 23 must have changed the way that the viewport or screen bounds are calculated or reflected back to this control as the issue seems to stop when we remove the control's MaintainPositionOnScroll attribute. It might be that the Firefox 23 DOM is not able to provide the screen dimensions accurately when the page is first rendered. I say this as the second postback renders the additional HTML fine.
The control in question is quite an old version so I don't think it's your issue to be honest.
Just so that this might be helpful to other developers using the Infragistics Window Dialog Control, setting MaintainPositionOnScroll to false solved this issue for us.

For the past 10 days more than 5 apps on my iPhone and iPad are stuck and not updating. Can anyone help please.

1. Check iTunes and see if you have a pending/stalled download e.g. Podcast, Books, Music, Movies or iTune U. Finish off the download and you should be able to update.
2. Connect to iTune; and Check for available download (under Store). When download is completed, sync to iPad.
