Game center games sync amongst multiple iDevices.

Hi
I have an iPhone 4 and 2 iPads for my daugthers to play and learn.
Both my daugthers are young and can't use thier own apple IDs yet and I don't want to keep more than one ID so that I'm using my own ID on all the three iDevices.
The problem is that when playing some games like smurf's village, which is installed on all the 3 devices, the devices will backup the current session/progress to a server and when another user tries to play the same game, it will prompt the user to choose between 2 saves versions and this will result in losing my game progress  eventually.
I remember once when I got the first iPad that I did something that will prevent game sync between devices but I can't recall what & where was that.
Any ideas ?
The iOS versions are as follows
iPhone 4 : 4.3.3
iPad 2    : 5.1.1
iPad 2    : 4.3.4

Hi Try a reboot press & hold power button and menu button hold both down until you see Apple Logo. If that doesn't work Delete Clash of Clans then add game back again you will still keep your scores. Cheers Brian

  • How do I stop games from syncing across multiple devices?

    Hi there,
My kids all have their own ipads (super big blessing from a grandparent).  My husband and I each have one as well.  We like to play some of the same games, and sometimes the game progress syncs between our devices.  Eg. We like to play Disney's Frozen Free Fall game, and for some reason, my ipad doesn't sync to my husband's.  When my kids asked for the game on their ipads, however, the games automatically synced to my husband's, so I didn't let them keep it (I didn't want them using all his items/lives).
My kids all like to play Angry Birds Transformers, and with the latest update to that game, their games are all suddenly connected to each other (they all have the same characters, number of gems, etc.).
How do these games sync (game center, icloud, etc.)?  Does anyone know how to disable the feature so that our games do not sync across multiple devices?  I would like us to not be sharing the same game progress.  We all share one itunes account.
    Thanks so much!
(If it helps, I have the ipad2, my kids have ipad mini 2's, and my husband has the ipad air.)

We all share one itunes account.
This would  be why the syncing occurs. Until a more knowledgeable person comes   by ...
You can have one, two or three apple id accounts per idevice. Assign a second apple id to all the kids machines. Same or multiple apple ids. depending on how you want the game to act. Does a family account differ?  delete the game from the current apple id.  Install the game on the new apple id ( or apple ids ).
    Look into family sharing:

  • Syncing Photos to iDevices Broken

I recently upgraded from iPhoto to Aperture. The update process (for me) went as follows:
Decided to upgrade to Aperture when I read that the libraries were (finally) compatible.
Upgraded iPhoto to 9.3, and upgraded the library.
Purchased Aperture, and told it to move the whole shebang over to that program (I thought, more in a minute).
Waited a couple of hours while all of that went on.
Everything seems to be hunky-dory in Aperture. The photos are there, they are organized as badly as they ever were, and include the kazillion duplicates that existed because my mom copied photos instead of tagging them, which is why I wanted Aperture so that I could tackle this project in a more organized fashion.
When I go to sync photos to my multiple iDevices, I get an error (Unknown error 1014) which searching informed me that this is generally an error accessing the photo library. No photos sync, but when I try and choose to sync to the Aperture library instead of the iPhoto library, it says that it doesn't exist. I can sync the iDevices to a specific folder (external to these programs), so it isn't the devices, although since all six of them started doing this at the same time when I did this upgrade, I mostly did this troubleshooting step for completeness.
    I have tried the following:
    • Deleted the iPod photo cache within the iPhoto library
    • Consolidated the masters in Aperture
    • Deleted the iPod photo cache again
    • Verified that the preview sharing setting is 'On'
I am not finding any other questions that are specific to this, and have spent a couple of hours browsing and using Google. I may be using the wrong search terms though.
Photos I take using my iPhone camera import just fine, the originals show up in the library, and Aperture deletes them from my phone after importing as I ask it to. But then they won't go back onto my phone unless I put them into a seperate folder that I specifically sync my phone to instead of the iPhoto/Aperture library.
One thing I did note, is that Aperture did NOT make a new library, nor did it rename the iPhoto library. It is still named iPhoto library, with the iPhoto application icon. Aperture is pointed to this, and does recognize it as the library it is supposed to be using. It may be iTunes that is confused; I don't see a way to tag this to post in both communities. If there aren't any answers here, I will try the iTunes section next.
Thanks in advance! Let me know if any more details are needed. The iDevices in question cover a very broad spectrum of fairly old to new (the iPhone 4S is the newest). iTunes is also at the most current version.

Since the latest update, you now have one library that can be opened either with iPhoto or Aperture, there isn't a seperate Aperture library.
I don't know why it's not working, but you should be able to use the iPhoto 'library' instead of the Aperture 'library' as they are both the exact same file.

  • Backup on centralized Storage for multiple iDevices (iPhone, iPad and iPod)?

    Dear all,
    Firstly thanks for reading.
I recently won a Synology DS413 NAS. Lan connected to the a Asus Router.
I’ve multiple iDevices such as iPhone, iPad and iPod at home.
    My home is fully wireless.
I want to have all my iDevices to have a backup copy on the NAS and sync inform such Photo, Music, Video and Contact.
Is this possible? Please kindly advice.

I've found an easier way, just go to settings>general>usage>music. Then swipe it and press delete, i think this deletes the database described above, then re-sync, this worked for me anyway. Good luck, you need it with Apple software.
I don't have a large library of music on my iPhone 4s since I've only had it since Oct 2012, but since the update to iTunes 11 in early December, my album artwork has been all messed up.  Everytime I would try to add new music, it would assign the wrong album artwork to anything new coming in.  And in addition to that, it would also mess up album artwork of music already on my phone.  Everything looked correct in iTunes, but on my phone, not so much.  After trying to unsynch, then synching again, my frustration level was at an all-time high. This problem seems to be everywhere online, but no concrete solution for everyone.
I finally came across your simple solution (at least for me because of my small inventory of music) of just deleting all the music through the settings, and then re-synching to add back my music.  Now all of the album artwork is correct again.  I'm almost afraid to add new music for fear the artwork will get mixed up all over again! I still think my issue is somehow connected to the iTunes 11 update because up until then I had no issues whatsoever. Anyway, thanks for an easy solution that worked for me.

  • Can you use sync on multiple computers at the same time? ie have someone else logged into your firefox account for you whilst you are also logged in

I am trying to sign up to something but there is only a short window so was going to ask a friend to sign in at the same time using my account to try to sign up (with my password being saved into my firefox account)

Hi. Yes, you can use Sync on multiple devices at the same time. I use it to keep my bookmarks in sync across my desktop and Android versions of Firefox.

  • My old laptop crashed, and took my iTunes account with it.  I got a new laptop, and want to sync my iTouch to my new iTunes account.  It gives me an error message stating that I can't sync to multiple iTunes accounts, but I can't access my old one!  Help!

My old laptop crashed, and took my iTunes account with it.  I got a new laptop, and want to sync my iTouch to iTunes.  It gives me an error message stating that I can't sync to multiple iTunes accounts, but I can't access my old one!
How can I get my new iTunes account to allow me to Sync my iTouch?  The only option it gives me is to "transfer purchases" from my iTouch to iTunes, but that is only about 25% of my iTunes library-most of it is CDs I have uploaded.  How can I Sync without losing all my music from my iTouch???
Also, I have lectures and photos, etc. on my iTouch that I don't want to lose.
I've tried a few of the iPod copy programs-the free ones and the ones you have to pay for, but I can't find one that will work for ALL my content on an iTouch.
Right now, I can't get anything from my iTouch to iTunes, and I can't update my iTouch with my new iTunes purchases, so I'm stuck!  Help!

Also-I tried to use my backup hard drive, but I wasn't able to drag/transfer/send/move any of my muic files onto my iTouch when the iTouch was connected to my computer.  I can't figure out why it won't let me do that.
The only thing I can see when I open my iTouch on my computer is my file with photos.  I can't see videos, music, or anything else.  What's going on?

  • I have just moved from MobileMe, where I had a 'Family account' (with unique email addresses for my wife and myself) to iCloud. We share the Cal and Contacts on our iMac. How do we sync to multiple devices - we each have iPads and iPhones? Mine sync OK...

We have just moved from MobileMe, where we had a 'Family account' (and we each have our own @me.com email addresses) to iCloud. We share the Cal and Contacts on our iMac. How do we sync to multiple devices - we each have an iPad and an iPhone, but with different accounts set up for mail. Mine syncs OK to Cal and Contacts, but hers doesn't. There must be a way! Please help.

According the this: http://www.apple.com/mobileme/transition.html, "After moving to iCloud, family member accounts are no longer linked to the master account."  You can share an iCloud calendar (see http://support.apple.com/kb/PH2690), but I don't think you will be able to share iCloud contacts unless you are signed into the same iCloud account on both phones.

  • When using Firefox Sync on multiple devices, I used to be able to 'send' a tab from one computer to another. Is this still possible? If so, how?

When using Firefox Sync on multiple devices, I used to be able to 'send' a tab from one computer to another. Is this still possible? If so, how?
I don't mean the ability to see what tabs are open on another device (I know how to do this). But if I am at work and find something that I want to read at home, it would be helpful to 'send' the tab to my home PC so that when I return home, it will automatically open that tab for me.

    Can anyone help?

  • Nokia E71 sync cause multiple calender entries

I've got a Nokia E71 and every time I sync between my PV (Windows XP) , Nokia E71 and my iMac i seem to get multiple calender instances of mainly repeating calender notes as birthdays and national holidays. I've tried to remove all the contacts with birthdays from my PC. When re-syncing the multiple calendar items will show up again. Seems that the PC and Mac read the calendar notes differently and hence after every synchronization add the same calendar series of i.e birtdays. Any solution to this annoying problem ?

if you are only having a few of the units with the challenges, check to see if there has been any other apps installed that may have affected the MfE that you installed on them to interface wtih your exchange server.
if there are no challenges there, then i would suggest uninstalling the MfE on the devices and then rebooting the device and then reinstalling it back on the device and setting it up again.
i had the problem only one time in the past and changing the settings seemed not to fix it at all.  but restarting the process did.
also, there could have been an issue with the coveraget those employees were in with thier handsets which could have prevented the unit from syncing, causing internal confusion, then trying again and backlogging the transfer....just a theory...as sometimes the network locks the data connection and while it shows that it is connected, it is frozen.
may be a good idea to see where those affected units are "travleing" in relationship to each other to see if the coverage as stated above is an issue.

  • IPhone3 - can I sync onto multiple PCs running iTunes ? or is this a one-one relationship ?

Can I sync onto multiple PCs running iTunes ? or is this a one-one relationship ?
My situation - use home computer for music etc., boat computer for weather file downloads, officecomputer for email / pictures ...
    Thank you

There is an App called Weathertrack, which pulls from the web GRIB files (weather information), that I would like to download onto the laptop we have on the boat, that runs some routing software (SeaTrack), that in turn integrates weather, tide, GPS etc to help with vessel navigation.
I can obviously do this from my home computer (this is the one that has the 1-1 sync relationship), but I don't want to empty the IPhone content whilst on the boat ...
If you can think of a way of making this happen, I would be very appreciative. Both PCs are windows based, home is Vista, boat is XP.
    Kind regards

  • Syncing with multiple computer on iOS 5

Ok am I doing something wrong here or did I expect something amazing from Apple for no reason?  You know how if you try to upload something to your iPhone on a different computer you would have to erase your phone and set the other computer as a new library or whatever.  So with iOS5 I was under the assumption that they changed it so now you can backup to the cloud storage and sync with multiple computers, meaning you can upload music to your iPhone (mp3's on the computer itself, not iTunes purchases) without having to erase your phone.  So what's the deal here?  I just re-installed Windows 7, it's going to be a pain having to erase everything and re-upload everything all over again.

The "deal" is the same as always. You can't expect something "amazing" from Microsoft as in not having to reinstall Windows on a regular basis. Why do you accept having to do that?
When having to reinstall Windows which is a regular occurance with that swiss cheese for secuirty OS, you need to update your computer's backup which should include your iTunes library along with all other important data such as documents, photos, etc. You need to de-authorize your computer with your iTunes account with iTunes before doing so followed by re-authorizing your computer and restoring your iTunes library from your computer's backup along with all other important data after doing so.

  • IMessage not syncing across multiple devices

    Hi All,
I have recently got on iPhone 4S as well as my exisiting iPad 1. My wife also has an iPad 2. All these devices have been updated sucesssfully to iOS 5.
We have one central iTunes account (mine) that gets used to purchase apps and music from iTunes - nothing out of the ordinary there.
We also have two iCloud accounts for use with our own devices (mine on the iPad1 and iPhone - my wife has one for her iPad2).
On the face of it - we can message back and forth ok apart from one small problem. Any conversation I start on the iPad will get duplicated to the iPhone but wont show any replies - these all go to the iPhone. So I'm basically looking at a one sided conversation from the iPad point of view.
Any conversation started on the iPhone just doesnt show up on the iPad at all.
I've found several posts (all based on the same theme) that suggests that I change the caller ID to the apple (iCloud) account on the phone and also 'reconfirm' the settings on the iPad.
This I have done several times but with no joy. I get the feeling that the sync between multiple devices isnt quite there yet.
Has anyone else come up against this in here - and if so - how did you fix it.
    Thanks
    Wayne.

The feature really doesn't work very well yet. Most likely a future update will fix it or at least make it more obvious why it doesn't behave consistently.
For what it's worth, after following the caller ID instructions that you have tried, it took about a day for syncing to start working but some conversations and messages still never show up on my iPad.
Not much we can do but wait for iOS 5.1 I'm afraid. No doubt apple are aware of the issue at this point.

  • Can't Sync with Multiple Libraries

My wife gave me an 8 GB iPod Nano for my birthday (I think they really mean 8 gB, but that's not really a big deal). It's got a nice slick aluminum (I think) case and a pretty LCD screen.
I had been resisting getting myself an iPod for a while now because Apple usually screws things up, but she chose it.
Not that I have it, I have decided that I was right. Apple completely screwed this thing up. My wife put a few songs from her laptop on the iPod and then I thought, great. I'll just add some from my laptop. I downloaded the new version of iTunes, but it told me that I couldn't add songs from my library without deleting the songs already on the iPod.
Now, I'm not a moron. I know that there's no technical reason for this reason for this. It's a freakin' piece of flash memory with a usb port and some dsp circuits. And it's one of the most expensive one's on the market. So why doesn't it work correctly?
This gd thing cost my wife $275 and IT DOESN"T WORK!!!! I'd take the POS back except that she already got my name engraved on it (not to mention that it might hurt her feelings).
Can someone please explain why Mac is trying to screw its customers over and why its customers put up with this BS?
I realize that there are probably hacks to get my iPod to sync with multiple libraries, but for $275, it ought to work right out of the box.

Okay. Okay. So I found the option to manually sync my iPod. I still think that it kind of ***** that the iPod doesn't store the files with their real names but instead uses those funny four letter names.

  • I forgot to enable sync on multiple devices hence I lost the data that was synced from my desktop.

I had enabled firefox sync only on my desktop and forgot to enable sync on multiple devices.
I lost the data that was synced from my desktop as I have re-imaged my system with new OS and when i login into the sync account none of the bookmarks are recovered.
Can Firefox team provide me the data that was synced?

    Hi darikere,
Unfortunately Sync was not meant to be a back up service. I am sorry for the inconvenience.
