Game Center ID not recognized

After I updated my iphone to IOS 5 and sync my apps, Apple ID and password are fine but the game center ID (nickname) is not. it didn't recognize my game center ID when I tried to set it up. Some of my apps(games) are linked to game center and now when I played the games, it goes back to the first level. is this normal?

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)

I apologize, I'm a bit unclear on exactly what you are asking. If you are talking about changing to or using a different Apple ID in Game Center, you may find the following article helpful:
Sign in to your Game Center account using your Apple ID. If you don't have an Apple ID or another Apple account, tap or click Create New Account to create an account to use with Game Center.
You can change the account you are signed into by:
iOS: Tap Settings > Game Center.
OS X: Click the Me tab in the Game Center app and click on your Account.

However, make sure you are aware of the following:
Note: Please note each Apple ID has its own associated scores, achievements, and friends.
Apple IDs are also tied to your other Apple services, and therefore should not be created lightly.

I have the same exact problem. I have literally done everything that everyone says works but it hasn't solved mine. I went to the Recieved at and It has my number and my email right under neath it but I can not select my Number. My Email is clickable but my number is like a super faded grey not like you can't see it but it is not close to black.

I apologize, I'm a bit unclear on the exact nature of the issue you are describing. If you are unable to access Game Center and you are not seeing your Apple ID displayed, you may want to try manually signing out and signing back in to your Apple ID. You may find the following article helpful:

I have changed my apple id password and verified it but game center will not recognize it

Game Center will not let me log in - Ipad 2

I have no idea what is happening with Game Center. Up until about two weeks ago it was working fine; now nothing.
1. My Apple ID works fine: no problem there
2. Restarted and reset my Ipad twice: still did nothing
3. Reinstalled the OS on my Ipad 2 and did a complete recovery: still did nothing
4. Have shut it down multiple times (multi-task bar): no help
5. I cannot create a new account
6. I get the message to log in when I start a game, but it simply gives the error
7. I even resent my account information back to my email as a last resort to reverify my ID...still nothing.
Error message is: "This game is not recognized by Game Center". I get this message from every angle when I try and log in.
I should point out that this all started to happen when I recovered my computer from a hard disk failure. I had to reinstall Itunes, but I transferred all of my purchases etc. The same problem that I am having with Game Center I also have with Flipboard...
Any help would be greatly appreciated

If you can, try logging in to iTunes from a computer to see if your ID is accepted.
Also, try resetting the iPad:
Settings->General->Reset->Reset All Settings.
You won't lose any data but will have to log back into your wifi network(s)

Game center account not working on multiple devices.

My game center account works fine on my iPad 2, but when I log in on my 3GS (after logging out on my iPad 2) my iPhone can't receive invites and invites that I send do not work when the other player accepts them, it just says "waiting" . All of my push notifications are turned on and I can play with random people online, but I can't play with friends or even receive invites from them. But if I log out of my iPhone and log in on my iPad the account works just fine.

Try reset iPad
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
Note: Data will not be affected.

Game Center ID not associated with Apple ID

I Upgraded my daughters iPad to iOS 8. It is asking me to enter the Apple ID to log into Game Center vs her Game Center ID. When i do this is requires me to create a new Game Center account. I enter the old account name and it says it is already taken.
Somehow the GC ID and the Apple ID got disconnected after the upgrade. How do I get the two connected again?

People log into Game Center with their Apple ID. This is not to be confused with their Game Center nickname, which is like a screen name.

Game Center is not working properly

Been having issues with Game Center for a while, specifically on my ipad 2 with 7.x iOS.
The biggest issue I've had is that it seems to randomly ask me to login into Game Center despite having been logged in previously or it looking like it is signed in in settings. The only useful information that I've seen on this issue is that it seems the consensus of users is that iOS 7.x uses more memory for the OS and memory intensive games are causing the service to fail when they fill up memory in the background. Not really a solution, but does seem to at least match what I've noticed since updating to iOS 7.0
I've been living with the above issue, but it has progressed beyond that now.
When attempting to login to a game this morning, the game froze. Trying a few things, it seemed like no game was logging into Game Center. So I checked in settings and when going to the Game Center section, it shows my username on the right like it's logged in, but the information below that never loads and just shows the 'waiting' symbol, which never resolves.
The Game Center login seems fine as I can use it on my other device just fine.
I've tried the various 'solutions' that others offered on here already, (resetting the device, time, etc.) but to no avail. I'm loath to factory default the device as it's full and used for work extensively.
Anyone have either issue and resolve it successfully?

Game center will not load. It churns forever with no loading.

I am running iOS 4.1.2, newest for my ipod, a 8 GB 2nd gen.
Is there any way to get game center to load and let me in? I don't have unlimited time and it would be nice to load withing a few minutes, instead of more than 10. I have given it about 10 minutes and nothing happened except for some buttons appearing. I have not set up my game center, I have not done anything except try every time I have wifi to try again and it will not work. I am on very fast wifi, it downloads games withing a few seconds.
Any way to fix this?

I have, no change.
I used Zombie Cafe, hit "Create new account" and it put me on game center's page, churned forever, no change :-(.
I tried use existing account and put in my apple id stuff and the same thing happened

After 6.1.2 update Game Center says "not allowed to sign in on this device"

I just downloaded the 6.1.2 IOS update for my 4th gen Ipod touch, which caused a couple of my games to start over. To resume progress, I attempted to log into Game Center, but it keeps telling me that "you are not allowed to sign in on this device". I have done multiple searches online and reset my password, etc, but I can find no solution to this - when the error come up, it gives me the option to cancel or go to settings. I have tried changing some of the settings, but I am unclear what setting would cause this to happen. I would be very appreciative if someone could help me out!

When I run the game at IPad my game works without problems. After hiding Game Center game works fine.
In IPhone after clicking Game Center game does not work. All the buttons do not work.
What could be the reason?

I have the same problem...
Tried using Chess, editing the hosts file, using the iOS simulator from Xcode, I added 208.67.222.222 e 208.67.220.220 to the DNS Servers, and I currently have a clean Mountain Lion instalation...but GameCenter still doesn't work.
I get a small green window that covers the login fields, and the window has nothing on it, just a button to "Cancel". I put my password and click on Login, but nothing happens...

Games center does not accept apple id

I just downloaded Mountain Lion on my macbook pro and have found it will not accept my apple id in the games center. If I open chess i get a green screen that is blank but apparently should contain terms and conditions. Currently I cannot play a simple game of chess (something I enjoyed on Lion) until this issue is resolved. I have tried repairing the permissions, but no difference. Anybody found a soloution to this problem?

Are you by any chance using an iPhone app to control the AppleTV? Try using the remote which came with the AppleTV instead. I read a thread yesterday where people using an app couldn't log into Netflix until they discovered that they needed to add a space to the end of the password (when using the app). The same might be true for the Apple ID.

HT4314 Game Center will not connect and will not disable in Hayday, even if I am connected in the game center app

I cannot get connecting to Game Center except periodically. When playing Hayday not only will it not connect it will no disable either so it pops up so often you just can't even play the game. It happen on another game that is connected to game center also. I will not get involved with any other game that requires game center at this point if it cannot be fixed. I already changed my password with is a major pain and now I have this long password and before I had a short one.
