Game Center is missing Requests button

Hi all,
I have never opened Game Center before, but I have received a friend request from my fiancee, and in trying to accept it, I discovered that my Requests button along the bottom is missing (see image below. I have "Me," "Friends," and "Games," and that's it. When I tap "Friends," the screen says only "No Friends" (waaah!) and there's no option for accepting friend requests or creating new requests.
Has anyone experienced this before? I wonder if there's a setting somewhere that I have turned off? I checked my Settings, but can find no such thing. I appreciate any help. Thanks!
Elesar

I just noticed this too, I even rebooted the phone, restoring is not an option for me unless if a new update is out.
I normally don't go into my game center but this morning I did, and there was no request tab or request a friend button.
But here is something that I did. I had restriction on which disabled Game center multiplayer. Therefore, I went to game center, it wasn't there. Now I went back to the restriction, enabled the mltiplayer. Went back to game center, Voila, the request tab, was there. So check on your Restriction settings, and see if this might help?

  • Game Center - no add friend button and unknown notifications

On my iPhone 4 when I click into game center I dont think it is acting as it should? There are a few things wrong I think?
    - In the friends tab it just says "No Friends" and has no button anywhere for me to add friends.
    - There are only three tabs down the bottom 'Me', 'Friends' and 'Games' - shouldnt there be an extra one?
    - Randomly sometimes when I enter game center then exit again a notification show on game center in my home screen and when I click on game center to find the notification it is no where to be found but the little red "1" still stays over game center in my home screen and I can't get rid of it?
Someone please help, I am very confused!!!
    THANKS HEAPS

Enable Game Center under General>Restricions>Game Center. There are two toggles, "Multiplayer Games" and "Adding Friends". Turning on the latter toggle will enable you to add friends to your account.
Alternatively, you can disable restrictions completely.

  • Game Center not adding request

    >:( I've been having my problems with my Game Center. One day i had 471 friends and that same day i had 12 request and i Accept them and my friend list went to 469. today i had 469 and had 5 more request and now i got 468 friends. What is going on. I thought when you Accept people is suppose to go up not low. By this day I should have over 490 friends. How can i fix getting friend not losing them?

I'm not sure what it is, unless someone else suggests something your next step is AppleCare or a visit to a Genius at an Apple Store.

  • How come my game center has no request tab (3 tabs instead of 4)?

I have a ipod touch 4g, with the latest version 5.1.
My friend has been sending me requests from her game center that has a request tab (all together 4 tabs), while I haven't been able to receive any requests nor do I have a reqest tab (so my game center has a total of 3 tabs: me, friends, and games).
    I've already tried:
    1) setting it back to factory version through itunes
    2) openin up games through game center
    Any ideas?

Go to settings then general then restrictions then scroll to bottom then make sure online multiplayer and adding friends are on

  • Game Center friend request problem

I am using an iPad Air on iOS 8.1.3. Me and a friend are trying to become friends in Game Center. At first, we couldn't get any requests to show up. We both went to the Add friend feature and tried entering both usernames and email addresses and neither of us were getting a request from the other. I have tried restarting the iPad and signing out and signing back in. After persistence, we managed to get requests to show up on each others iPads, but it wouldn't let us accept the request. It would appear, we would hit accept and then the request would stay in the requests list like we had never hit accept. Then my Game Center homepage would sometimes not change, or sometimes it would say 1 request and 1 friend, and sometimes if i had recently hit accept multiple times, it would say 1 request and 2 friends, but when you go in the friends list, it is blank. The friend is also running iOS 8.1.3. I am new to using Apple products, and this would be my first Game Center friend.

  • Game Center friend request problems

I've tried to add my friend through Game Center and I sent the friend request fine via email, but when I asked her if she got the request, she said that she did and that on her friends list it said that I was added to her list and that she could see the scores on my games and everything. When she removed me, she sent me a request and I never got one. Anyone else have this problem?

  • Game Center Requests/Contacts Issue

I am new to a few things here, so its a little confusing and I'm not sure under which category my question falls.  Many, I guess:
For one, I only recently began using a Windows computer for the first time in a decade or so, because my Macbook broke and the cost of repair was astronomically high.  I used Windows years ago but that doesnt really count because it was pre-brain surgery and I basically cant do any of the things I was able to do back then.  So I had learned how to use a Mac afterward & that is what I've known.
Now its like I'm figuring out Windows for the 1st time AND.. to make matters worse, this pc I got is Weirdos 8.  Very strange stuff here.  After my MacBook broke, I took it in to the Apple Store & found out the high cost of getting it repaired so it sits languishing, probably forever.   And IDK but I think they priced these Windoze 8 machines low to try to lure - I mean - entice people into buying them?  Because I paid next to nothing & the thing works great.  Until now, that I said it works great.  Now its going to break.
Ok soooo.....today I noticed that there were suddenly a ton of notifications under my iPhone's game center app.   Checked it & I saw that ONE person -  one extremely annoying person, I might add! - had sent me over 80 game requests/challenges.  I began to go through and after about the first 500 million, I developed irretractible carpal tunnel syndrome and permanently lost the use of both arms.  So I decided to just go ahead & remove this person as a contact.  It was some sort of stranger from the web with whom I had literally *never* had any kind of communication at all other than to accept her friend request.
And the most sinful part of what this woman did was lol she had (this is so awful.  I know I'm horrible...)  her profile picture was that of I guess her son or daughter.  Kind of unidentifiable.  I mean, if youre going to make your picture show your child, at least show your best looking kid.  Heh heh.  So anyway, I removed the offensive in 2 ways woman as a contact & hoped that would remove all 550,388,936 requests (give or take) but it did not.  I even closed the app and re-opened it but that didnt help. Please tell me I dont have to manually go thru & remove every single request...
beat my high score of 100 points
beat my high score of 110 points
beat my high score of 120 points
beat my high score of 130 points
beat my high score of 140 points
beat my kid with an ugly stick
beat my high score of 150 points....
But in all honesty, there were over 75 individual requests across at least 5 different games from her.  Not cool.  Is there a way to avoid this?  Like preferably BLOCK a person, causing all of their requests to go away?  Or just some more simple way to do it?

    Try to do this:
    1. Open Terminal (in Applications>Utilities)
    2. Paste the following command:
    sudo -b "/Applications/Textedit.app/Contents/MacOS/TextEdit"
         - Enter password
         - TextEdit should open
    3. Press CMD+O > Then select "On My Mac" in the upper left corner
    4. Press CMD+SHIFT+G and type: /etc/hosts
         - Open file
    5. Clear all the content and leave only (if there is more content, copy it to another file):
    ### Host Database## localhost is used to configure the loopback interface# when the system is booting.  Do not change this entry.##127.0.0.1       localhost255.255.255.255 broadcasthost::1             localhostfe80::1%lo0     localhost
    6. Save file
    7. Open Game Center. Log in should work now.
    8. If there was any extra content in the hosts file, paste it back.

  • HT4211 How to accept friend request in game center?

I am trying to add a friend in game center. I can see the request but when I hit the request the screen goes to my friend list and there is no request present. Alternatively when I try to find him I get the message "Friend request failed. Unable to send friend request". I know he does not have any problem adding friends and this is the first time I have seen this message. Funny thing is it happened right after I did the update to iOS7.1.
Notifications are allowed for game center on my phone, parental settings are off, and I have allowed people to request to be my friend in settings.
    Any suggestions??

Nvm I figured it out. Very stupid! Recently changed my password and game center will still run eventhough you didn't change the password for game center as well. Simply restarted my iPhone and everything is fine. Just wish there would have been some sort of notification when I first accessed game center after changing my Apple ID password.
    Anyway no worries all good...

  • Can anyone help with game center I cannot accept or request friends

Hi can anyone help with sorting this problem out, I cannot accept or request friends via game center, Any help would be much appreciated. I get request and when I click on accept friends, nothing happens, when I go to game center it says no friends.

Thanks Martin. I'm waiting to hear back but I believe he has the Vixia HF S10 or S11. It's a flash-drive HD camcorder. I have heard that the lousy software that comes with the Canon's for windows forced the clips to downsample. I'm going to try to Log and Capture directly from him camcorder. The (canon) device only has a USB port and I didn't think USB worked on macs for video.
My video clips are 1920x1080 AIC, @29.97 fps.
His clips are 720x404 mpeg2 muxed. It doesn't tell me anything else.
In MPEG Streamclip, I can export to the same specs but in FCE it still makes me re-render the clips for some reason. very time consuming...

  • How do you accept a friend request in the new Game Center with iOS 7.0.4?

How do you accept a friend request in the new Game Center?

I have a red "1" showing I have a request, how do I accept it? I have my list of friends, I scroll down and see the list of recommendations (which doesn't tell me they are playing my game), but I don't see where to accept the request sent to me.

  • When I press the add friend button on game center the screen turns black.

When I press the add friend button on game center the screen turns black and the
    application froze.

Does that keyboard have a '''Fn''' ''(Function)'' key? <br />
If so, hold the Fn key when you hit the F11 or F12 keys.

  • I cannot send/accept  freind requests from Game Center.

I cannot send/accept freind requests from Game Center.

    What setting did you change?
Is the Restrictions that prevents adding friends set in Settings>General>Restrictions?

  • IPod 4th Gen power button broken, game center and some apps won't load.

iPod 4th generation, iOS 6.1.6, power button is broken (will not click at all, I can't let my iPod run out of battery because I won't be able to turn it back on).
Game center, and some of my apps will not load.
I also have issues with apps and Safari crashing, but that isn't a major problem.
For the apps not loading, I've tried deleting them, and then reinstalling them, but it didn't work.
Is there anything I can do about this?

To reset the iPod without the hardware buttons,
    - Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings. All your wifi and bluetooth preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected. You will have to rejoin wifi networks and repair BT devices
For Safari problem try going to Settings>Safari and Clear Cookies<data and History.
To turn on an iPod without a Power button just connect the iPod to a charging source

  • Game Center Friends are Missing

This morning Game Center says I have no friends.  However, under the ME tab it still lists the correct number of friends, games and achievements (but shows no games in the six squares to the left and right).
I've restarted the iPad and signed in/out of Game Center.  Nothing helps.  Any suggestions?

I'm not sure what impact they have as I don't use Game Centre, but there are two settings in Settings > General > Restrictions for Multiplayer Games and Adding Friends.
