Game prob

see the screenshot on my n95 8gb.
the fone is in potrait mode but the game gettin launched lik this..
it was well with v11 firmware.
this prob started after upgrading to v15..
now updated to v20 but still it persists..
problem only for sisx games n not for any java games..
please help

I use an Audigy ZS 2 Gamer, had the same problem, minus the resetting of Mic to Wave you are having.
How about trying to change the setting by opening up the MediaSource Player, then:
View > Show Recording Status > and change the recording source to "Microphone" in there instead of the Surround Mixer.
I know it's essentially the same process, but with as buggy as this software is, maybe it will make all the difference. That's how I always changed my setting when using Teamspeak and it worked for me.
Another thought: Have you tried leaving the Surround Mixer open with your readjusted settings, even while in the game?

Audigy Gamer prob

I have a Sound Blaster Audigy Gamer that I bought quite a while ago. It is retail and installs fine off of the CD (drivers, applications, etc.). Because the drivers on the CD are so old I want to update them. I downloaded the AUD_WEBUP_PCWDRV_-84-40 driver setup program off of Creative's site but it gives me the "Setup could not detect any Sound Blaster Audigy on your system."
In the device manager there is the Creative Audigy Audio Processor (WDM) and it is enabled and is shown as working properly, which it is. The sound works through the card and everything plays okay but I want to update the drivers and everything for the next generation games and whatnot (though I probably should just upgrade the card, but that is irrelevant).
The web setup program is an .exe file so I cannot just extract it and get the drivers out so I don't really know how to get around this detection problem. Any help would be appreciated.System:AMD Athlon 64 3400+EPoX 8KDA series motherboardBFG GeForce 6800 OC

Fatal1ty Gamer prob

Just bought the Fatalty Xtreme Gamer Pro but every time I install the card and Windows install the drivers my computer does a memory dump and crashes, then reboots starts installing the card again and has a memory dump and crashes. If I remove the card I have no problems and have had no problems installing other hardware.

I don't know this is a bug from X-fi 2.5.0006 XP Driver or my installation.
Before I apply this new driver, everythings work great but when I install this driver (along with mediasource 5 update).
it seems that when I push mute button on remote, it's not mute at all and when I press volume + or -, its seems to apply only for left channel even I try "move all slide indicators at the same time" option. (Old drivers apply both channel)
Any suggestion?

2 ZS Gamer prob

I recently reformatted my Hdd and did a fresh install of everything. I also installed the software that came with this sound card. The sound didn't work initially so I downloaded and installed the drivers from this site. Now I have no sound. I reinstalled the drivers and got some sound when it was rebooting like the windows start up sounds. But after that nothing. No music files or games work? Any ideas?

Did you disable onboard sound? In Control Panel, Sounds & Audio (or similar name), Audio tab, do you have the Audigy selected as the default Playback, Recording, Midi device and have "Use Only Default Devices" selected? In the mixer, what do you have selected as REC and Playback sources?

Help! I can't get USB to work

Ok at first I was having problems with running any 3d games. I still have this problem. What it does is it totally freezes the system during the middle of play at random spots. Then I decided what the heck I guess I need to get all the new drivers and stuff. So I got everything installed from the Live Update 2 except for the Bios update and the USB update. My OS is Windows XP so I don't have any choice but getting that USB update via LU2. So I tried installing that update and during the install when it tries to find an install wizard for the USB it freezes the machine and disables all usb divices. No usb devices work after I did this install.I've tried installing it 4 times. I get the same result each time. I don't care how I can do it I just want my usb back up. Can somebody help me?
Oh and I think that the 3d game prob is that I need to get an actual AGP card so that it doesn't overheat the graphics chip and perhaps a better heatsync for the Pentium 4 2.26 Ghz chip.

Try this driver, it is from intel.
The intel VGA integrated in the 845G chipset is known to be less than perfict (or actually very poor).
There was an article about how it has incompatabilities with games.
Even a Gf2 MX200 is stronger than it so practicly any card you would but is stronger.

GT70 Dragon Freezing, low FPS & Turbo Button

the last Weekend, i probe more exhaustively the laptop and update to nvidia lastest Drivers (320.18) (no Beta)
last week i have a same problem ( https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=169182.0 ) but I do not use the computer much.
i play at f12012 and Dirt3,wrc2, fifa13 (all originals) etc and I have a small freezing during play. and much more pronounced if I have activated the turbo button (led on).
these jumps or freezes are performed whether there is much movement on the screen as if you're standing (always in the game, not on windows)
seeing this problem, i download a FPS test (FRAPS), and I checked 60FPS whit out turbo button (led Off) and and when it slows down, it's like a blink, and the FPS are 60.
if the turbo button is in use (led on) the FPS stars in 60 and at any time can drop to 30FPS.
with turbo button enabled (led on), the problem is accentuated, these declines are almost constant (60-30, 60-30) and makes slow games.
probe also use the extra ventilation button in both cases, and the result is the same.
in the Nvidia Panel Switching the option PhysX to Gforce 680m and looks better, but not well at all.
where is the recomended option to PhysX? (auto, Gforce 680m os Intel HD400?
what is the turbo button función?
is normal to be slower with enabled turbo button? (led ON)
on the other hand, whitout AC charger plug , the laptop is slower, is possible to use all the power without Ac Charger? (I understand that the battery would be exhausted before)

Connect your device to iTunes and do the update through iTunes. Using a computer takes much less space on your device than doing the update on your device.

Audigy 2 NX Directional (backward) Game Sound Prob

Hello.
I recently bought one of the last few Audigy 2 NX's and I like it EXCEPT...
I play a lot of online games (first person shooters) - Counter Strike specifically...
and pretty much until a player is about 5 feet behind me, i cannot hear a thing ... let me elaborate
i can throw a grenade at a pretty average length, then spin around so the nade explodes in a path that is DIRECTLY behind me, and i will not hear it ... though, if i through the same nade the same direction and length, but i am FACING the explosion, the direction and sound is fine - i hear it loud and clear
if i am turned around and someone rushes DIRECTLY in a path behind me, i will not hear ANY footsteps until they are about 8 feet behind me in game, then i start hearing them
obviously this isnt right!!! i obviously cant have 3 / 4 directions in game work fine, but behind me i cant hear anything... does anyone have any opinions about this? ever heard anything about this? what's going on! i have tried and experimented with a lot of different settings in the creative settings
i have tried eax on and off, speaker settings on headphones, 2 speakers, 4, 5., and 7., ... i dont know what else to try
i just bought it a few days ago so i know the drivers are updated ... right?

Well, I am new to high-end sound cards, and I may be misinterpreting the terminology, but the sound card is supposed to be a 24bit/96kHz card.
I am under the impression that one should be able to set the output quality of the card to 24bits of depth and a 96kHz sample rate, despite the speaker setting that one may be using, to decode good quality audio streams (say an audio cd or the dolby digital audio of a dvd movie.) I can currently achieve this only on 2. speaker systems (or when i set the speaker setting of the card to 2.) Otherwise the maximum bit depth/sample rate I can set the card output to is a sample rate of 48kHz and a bit depth of 6bits.
Am I mistaken in thinking that if I am playing a good quality audio stream I should be able to raise the output quality of the card to that which it is advertised and claims to have?

X-fi gamer NO SOUND Prob

first off all my x-fi gamer card is working on my old computer.
i have a problem with x-fi gamer. yesterday i bought a new computer. i installed win xp , all drivers , games etc. when i trying install a x-fi drivers i get blue screen(something like that 0x0000008E (0x0000005, 0x85c94cB3.0xF7A6B294, 0x0000000) . to install drivers i had to turn on on chip audio. after i install drivers everything looks fine but when i open winamp and trying to play a mp3 i keep getting error (bad direct sound driver.please instal drivers or select anoter devic in configuration error code:88780078 )
i have this error even if im trying turn on a software stuff from x-fi. so i got no sound at all. what im trying to did to resolve my problem.
changed slot of x-fi -doesnt help
turn off on chip audio-doesnt help
put off my network card and get on that slot a x-fi -i cant even open windows(blue screen on startup)
installed newest drivers from creative-doesnt help
installed drivers from cd-doesnt help

Audigy Gamer re install prob

I am trying to re install my Audigy Gamer sound card and when I attempt this with the original install disk I get a error message saying that "Setup could not detect any sound blaster audigy on your system. Please ensure that your sound blaster hardware is properly installed before running this setup program. Setup will exit now". When I look in the device manager I can see that Windows has a "Creative Audigy Audio Processor (WDM)" listed.
How is it possible that Windows sees Audigy hardware and yet Audigy's own install software doesn't? Also how can I get this thing properly installed ? I've un installed it several times and physically removed the card already and after 3 hours of this fun stuff I am right back where I started.

Hi. I've got the same problem after reinstalling windows and installing sp2. I keep getting the same error messages. few times on reinstall of old drivers from the cd it actualy went frough with installation and there actualy was sound at windows shut down. but on starup nothing again. tried reinstalling few times. tried installing new updated drivers, but thouse would not install at all! tried changing pci slots, nothing.. and it seems that creatives techs or c.s. reps have no interest in looking in forum nor they have any idea what the problem is with this issue . I suspect it has to do with sp2 update. may be direct x issue. but can't roll back to previuse version of direct x without reinstalling the sp2. any one has any idea how to fix this sound card issue?

Sound during games...very strange prob

I have a strange problem. When playing games I only hear sounds like gun fire, other characters speaking or general ambient sounds when I am not facing the sound source. If I turn my character to face the sound it disappears, I need to turn at a 90 degree angle to hear.
I am using a SB Li've! card with Logitech Z-640 speakers.
Has anyone experienced this before?

Just want to clarify, I don't need to really move the direction my character is facing, just the camera direction. If I have my camera straight behind my character and he is talking to someone face on, I need to move the camera so that I am looking at my character from the side in order to hear what is being said.
I know this sounds weird but I don't know how else to describe what's happening.

XFI Xtreme Gamer New Old Prob

Hi guys first off an apology as this is going to be a long ass post
Right i have a problem with my XFI card which i know is not a new problem, but for me it is first off a bit of background..
My old machine which was as follows:
DFI Lanparty NF4 SLI-DR-Expert
AMD 64 3700+/4200+ X2
2 GIG OCZ Platinum EL DDR 3200
2 X 7600GT in SLI
XFI Xtreme Gamer (both old and new version)
with the old version (no heatsink) big card i couldnt get anything to work couldnt get drivers to install and sometimes couldnt even boot to windows. after plenty of arsing about with drivers bios update and bios settings i got fed up with it and like a muppet i bought another Xtreme gamer (new one with heatsink), and to be fair everything worked like a dream, i have read over these forums multiple times and basically read the main problem with these cards was when paired up with a NF4 motherboard so even tho i was annoyed at having a dud card which no body wanted to claim responcibility for, i was quietly content with the fact i had a working XFI card on a NF4 board. All was great the sound was excellent with my speakers and fatalty headset, games like bf242 FEAR etc sounded better than they ever had before.
Then i came into some money and decided for a big pc overhaul which was as follows
ASUS M3A32-MVP-Deluxe
AMD64 6400+
4 GIG Corsair XMS TwinX 6400
Nvidia 8800GT
I decided as it had worked so well up to now and the fact id had it less than a year, i kept the same XFI card
Got everything setup and installed latest drivers bios and everything, then i hit a problem. ANY GAME that claims to take advantage of the XFI etc has crackling problems. in bf242 when artillery goes off anywhere near me the crackling is INSANE. explosions in FEAR result in INSANE crackling. now this new board i use is a QUAD crossfire board socket AM2+ etc all the latest stuff and yet still this crackling problem persists 2 YEARS+ after the card came out.
now i have gone thru so many posts on so many forums and absolutly EVERYTHING i have tried has done NOTHING to resolve my problem.
CAN ANYONE HELP ME? CREATIVE IM LOOKING IN YOUR DIRECTION...
your company has had alot of money out of me in the last few years so some help would be appreciated.

GeForce4 Mx440 probs in some games

Hi guys i just got a GeForce4 Mx440 64mb DDR (model 8878 by MSI) but I'm having some problems with it when I play Flight Simulator.
Whenver a text shows up, the letters are shown in a very weird way, as if it had a shadow. Here's a link to an image of this problem.

I'm using Nvidia's latest drivers (41.09) but it's still happening, and it only happens in Flight simulator. I got other graphic intensive games and everything runs smoothly. I also noticed it crashes the audio too sometimes.
My system is
Soyo Dragon SY-K7V with Via chipset
AMD Athlon 1800 processor
512 RAM
7200rpm 60Gb Hard Drive
and
MSI 8878 graphics card.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

Yes i did and there aren't any patches. :( That's weird because it didn't happen with my older Geforce2 card and it only happens with Flight Simulator in full screen mode...
