Game recaps (MLB.tv) stopped appearing

I recently became addicted to the Game recaps on MLB.tv. As soon as I got hooked, though, they stopped showing up. At first, I thought it was another marketing ploy by MLB -- get you hooked, then make you pay. But my other ATV owner-friends say they are continuing to get the recaps.
If I navigate to Internet/MLB.tv and choose Game Recaps, I see four games from Wed, 4/27, a bunch of games from 4/26, 4/25, etc. There were more than four games on 4/27. But I am not "presented with" the remaining 4/27 games or anything newer than that.
Obviously, there's no "refresh" button or similar. And, my (cheapskate/nonpaying) buddies are getting the current recaps. What can I do to "force" the ATV to go out and fetch the new game recaps?

Okay. Still not sure where you sign out. Are you talking about signing out of the whole Apple TV? Like with your iTunes account and password? Or are you talking about signing out of just MLB? I'll go take a look at my ATV in a sec to see if it's more obvious.
But, assuming I figure out what you mean, exactly, then I think your answer is "helpful" because MY previous solution was to completely RESET the ATV -- as in "Restore to Factory Settings." No other thing I had tried (including power reset of ATV) had previously helped.
Fun fact: I called Apple Support yesterday and they pretty much said that they don't really support MLB.tv. That I could try bugging MLB (I'm sure that'll be really fruitful) or I could bring my ATV into the Genius Bar to be looked at for Hardware trouble. I'm actually going to My First Genius Bar Appointment this Friday and plan to bring the ATV along, just to get a "second opinion." I'll repost if I learn anything exciting.

My iphone 3gs stopped appearing in the sidebar

A week or so ago my iphone 3gs stopped appearing in the itunes (10.7) sidebar when plugged in to my computer. It shows in the itunes fuile menu and when I right click the itunes icon in my task bar. It would still sync from the file menu. Now, itunes has stopped syncing voice memos and because I cannot select sync options without iphone in the sidebar I cannot fix this.
Any help is appreciated.

You could try restoring and staying away from that backup. I've had that happen to me before on my iPhone 4 from a corrupt backup. You could be coincidently mixing the two issues, sounds to me like you got lucky and your phone is A-OK but you may be using a corrupt backup.

Is this after you've chosen to Shutdown from the Menu, or just on it's own?
You can press the esc key to cancel, or Enter key to shutdown.
Check your System Preferences>Energy Saver>Schedule & see if it's set to shutdown at a certain time.

I've attached a stripped down version of the subVI which handles the UDP connection.
In the Init and Disconnect cases, I've had to remove the startup and shutdown commands as that's protected info, but they are just fixed U8 arrays. The subVI does not have any incoming errors when executed by itself or as part of the main VI nor does the Init case generate any errors. Also, the UDP Open and UDP Write functions process a nonzero Connection ID.
Let's see, what else? The Init and Disconnect cases operates just once at the beginning and end, as you might expect. While the Read case operating at 1x/sec during normal operation.
Let me know if there's any more insight I can provide.

how do i get the java applet to stop appearing on the dock? it seems to do this for pop-up windows. also, the text on the popup window is different, how can I change that to normal? this all started when i loaded MAC OS X 10.6.8

You could try to block popup windows.
Safari / Preferences / Security
Also, go to Safari / Preferences / Extensions and clean out everything there.

Bookmark dialog has stopped appearing when a bookmark location is selected

Firefox 3.6.12 has stopped displaying the Bookmark dialog when a URL location is selected for storage. Since the Bookmark dialog has stopped appearing, all the bookmarks can be found in the Recent Bookmarks section, and no place else.
This is different than how it operated previously. Only 1-program, Google Earth 6, which also installed Chrome, was upgraded since the Firefox bookmark dialog would appear allowing the user to select the folder destination as the link's saved location.

This issue can be caused by the McAfee SiteAdvisor.
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

Can't get error message to stop appearing, missing font...

I just updated to osx 10.5, and ilife 09 at the same time. I'm working in iWeb, and my previous sites have imported fine, and are uploading great, but I keep getting a message that I'm missing a font. Every time I click on a different page in my site I get the message, and even after I click continue and click on another page then come back, I get the same annoying message. The font is ArialMT and it seems to be the font that is the default for the template called "white".
My question is how do I get the error message to stop appearing. I would replace the font but I do not have it. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

I have Arial Rounded MT Bold in my fonts list but not in my fonts folder. Its copyright © 1993, Monotype Typography ltd. It appears to be a Microsoft font. I must trash it in case it pollutes my Mac!
Its sitting in a CD artwork folder and I must have imported it from somewhere at some time.
Have you tried deleting the iWeb preference file - Home Folder/Library/Preferences/com.apple.iWeb.plist and restarting your Mac to see if that will fix it.
The default font in iWeb is Arial Regular.

TS3280 onscreen ipad keyboard has stopped appearing when attempting to email a picture

I often email pictures I have taken with my ipad to friends. Just recently the keyboard stopped appearing. When I select email the picture, the new message screen appears, but the keyboard no longer shows up. The keyboard seems to show up everywhere else as expected, just will not show up when emailing pictures.
What do I need to do?

You should be able to see two different tabs when setting up the email if you go to Other > Add Mail Account. Once you enter in the email address and password, you should be at the next screen to provide more details about the email as far as incoming and outgoing servers and at the top there will be a blue section to add it in as a POP or IMAP email account. Are you running the latest version of iTunes (10.7)? Maybe try resetting the iPod with it still plugged into your Mac. To do this, press and hold both the Select/Center and Menu buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.
It might even help to do a low level reformat of the iPod's Hard Drive using Disk Utility. See this article for instructions.

Then the ethernet is not getting an IP from the TC.. there is no connection.
I am not sure where you mean when you say the green LED should be on. Do you mean the TC?

In order to help troubleshoot ethernet connections all routers use connectivity leds.. even APPLE.. it has one big LED on the front.. and 4 tiny leds beside each ethernet port. That light has to come on for ethernet to be active.. if you plug an ethernet cable into the port and the light doesn't come on.. then there is no connection.. either the other end isn't plugged in.. or the cable is bad.. or the ethernet port is bad.. something is wrong.
To get access to the TC you need this led to be green.. is it?
If it is green and the WAN is also green.. then I want you to unplug the WAN connection.. the blue wire in the picture.. the port slightly separated from the 3 LAN port.. computer plugged just into LAN port.. no airport turned on.. and press the reset again for 10sec until front led flashes rapidly.. then try and bring up the airport utility again.. assuming the ethernet led is green.
How old and what model is the TC?
The A number from the rubber mat will tell us the model.

New iPhoto Videos stopped appearing in iMovie (and media Browser too)

I only recently discovered the usefulness of viewing iPhoto videos in iMovie, simplifying the process to editing my videos.
However recently my videos have stopped appearing. I am using Leopard 10.5.6 and the videos are captured using a Powershot SD750 camera into an AVI format. up until the 12/12 the videos appeared fine, and I am sure that I haven't changed anything. The iPhoto library is stored on a NAS drive. Which does seem to lose connection on a regular basis, causing me to need to choose the library in iPhoto again.
When I launch iMovie it used to ask about loading the Iphoto videos though I have not seen this dialogue recently.
I also notive that in the media browser iDVD or web upload these particular videos are not shown.
I would be grateful for any help...

Suddenly today, this is working fine, not sure why, as I had rebooted the machine several times to try and resolve...
If anyine has any ideas as to why, I would appreciate it. When I opened iMovie today I saw the dialogue that had been missing:

To change the iCloud ID you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iDevice, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use. If you don't know the password for your old ID, or if it isn't accepted, and if your old ID is an earlier version of your current ID, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

My podcasts have stopped appearing

I have been publishing podcasts for four years. Suddenly last month the new ones stopped appearing. I suppose something has become corrupted in the xml code, but I am unable to find it. Do you have any ideas? The podcasts are for Knox United Church, Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

I bought an external hard drive in June (this yr) and it suddenly stopped appearing on the desktop. Disk Utility could see it. It wasn't the cord - now that I've tried that, the ext won't even turn on. I need that data off the drive BADLY! Help!!??

The drive stopped showing up consistently at first, then stopped all together. Disk Utilities could see it, verify it but not repair. I need it backed up. I took it to a local computer shop who tried a different cord. Nothing. When I got home, I read through several support forums dealing with this issue. One said I needed to zap my PRAM on my MacBook. I did so. Now the external won't even turn on! Any hope of getting the data off that drive? It is still under warranty but undoubtedly the firm will NOT attempt to back up the drive before issuing a new one. I downloaded something called TestDisk 6 that another forum suggested but no one offered any clue how to use it. I cannot figure the first thing to do with it! It appears to may be a Windows formatted program, anyway as most of the instructions end in the suffix .exe. I'm at a total loss...both personally as well as having already lost a complete week of business. Any suggestions would be appreciated but please note - I am NOT that computer literate. Just telling me to download something won't help me if I can't figure out what to do once it is downloaded. Also, taking this hard drive apart will void my warranty. Not that that is the biggest of my worries at this point but I wouldn't have the first clue anyway! I live in an area where we have something called Mac Authority in the mall and a Best Buy. Those are the only 2 connections to Mac-related stuff I have access to. Help!!! Please?

If your external drive does not have an independent power supply, you may wish to consider a couple of lower-cost options before tossing the drive. Bus-powered drives have no external power source and must get all their power from the computer. They can exceed the computer's USB energy budget.
Cheapest option:
1 Meter USB 2.0 A to 5 Pin Mini B Cable - Auxiliary USB "Y" Power Design for external hard drives.
This gets power from two of the computers USB porst sna can provide enough power to wake up an under-performaing bus-powered drive.
If you don't have enough ports to use this, try the next cheapest option:
Newer Technology 7 Port Hi-Speed USB 2.0 Hub with Power Adapter for Mac & PC
Such a hub has a an independent power supply to make up for wahat the comptuer fails to provide.
