Game won't work!

I've had my iPod mini for almost 2 years now, and when I updated it, on the previous iTunes, when I tried to play Music Quiz, it said 'Error - music not found'. Now, I know this is impossible since I have about 700 songs on my iPod right now. I've tried all conventional fixes (aka resetting it, using the updater) but I still can't get it to do Music Quiz! Please help me! I want my pointless hours of music trivia back!

Sorry, false alarm, all I had to do was restore and replace the songs on the iPod. Mods, if you would be so kind as to delete this thread? Thanks.

Updated to 7.7 - now youtube and flash games won't work

I upgraded to 7.7 a while back and ever since then I can't get youtube videos to load or play flash games online though safari. Any idea what could be causing this problem. Please let me know!

verify same on another Mac, its likely a dead SATA card inside the external enclosure.
One assumes you arent referring to a 2012 Air with a Toshiba SSD, since the Air contains no hard drives, only a SSD.
2013 Air use Sandisk or Samsung SSD.

Older Games won't work...

I have Zuma and Musika, which I bought for my older 5.5 gen Video Ipod.
I recently bought a Classic and the games won't sync to it. I looked in the iTunes games store and they indicate only a couple of games are compatible with the Classic.
Is Apple going to update these games so they work on the Classic or are they just going to screw me out of my games?
Does anyone know the email for this type of support?

True. I helped them get even more richer this week by spending $350 on the Complete Bob Dylan and the Complete U2. Great stuff there. Apple is supposed to be making money and there is nothing wrong with that.
Next generation iPods will require new games then too.

Facebook games won't work after Maverick install on MacBook Pro

I just installed Maverick on my MacBook Pro, it is a mid 2009 model. Ever since when I get on Facebook with Firefox, Chrome, or Safari, I can"t get any of the games to load. Everything worked just fine last night before the install, but now I am at a loss as what to do to fix this problem, short of wiping the HD and starting back over in Snow Leopard.

Sims game won't work!

I have a macbook air and ever since i bought it in september 2013 i have been trying to get my sims 3 game to work. i am not sure if it is my computer or if it is the external disc drive that is the problem so i am hoping someone can help me out with that. i have put my sims game into my external disc drive and it doesnt show up it keeps saying insert disc here but the disc is already in. it only does this with my sims game it works with DVDs so i am just wondering if it is my sims game or my computer that it isnt compatible with? i have tried torrenting the game and it always says there is no disc inserted.

Downloaded game won't work properly on my iPod Nano

I downloaded the game "Monopoly" and synced it to my iPod Nano 4th generation, but it doesn't work properly. I searched the apple site and found out that if the section "Games" doesn't appear under the "Devices" heading, then the game is not compatible with the iPod model. However, on iTunes, it says Monopoly is compatible with iPod nano (3rd & 4th gen.), iPod classic and iPod (5th gen.).
Does anyone have any suggestions or solutions?

Have you trying your restoring your iPod. Keep in mind that by doing this is will erase everything on the iPod so make sure all your files are backed up on iTunes or on your computer somewhere. For step-by-step instructions on restoring your iPod, see the link below. Then try resyncing the game as well as your music. If all else fails, you may be able to contact Apple about redownloading the game. Hope this helps.

when I turn on games it loads and when it says press x to start nothing happens, it starts to load graphics and says press x to skip then nothing, x works when no games in console, any ideas would be greatly appreciated

IPOD touch games won't work on my ipod

I downloaded games from the apps store. They said they were compatable with the ipod touch but everytime I open them on my ipod touch 8gb they just close again. Anyone got any ideas how to fix this?
Also I downloaded an audio book but my computer keeps asking me to authorize it and then it says it is authorized but it still wont play. What can i do?

what OS are you running on your Touch ? many apps require iOS 2.x or later ...

The Games Won't Work!

I've recently gotten the Sims 2 and HALO for my mac, the problem is, whenever I play them, my mac will crash for no apparent reason. I've checked the system requirments but my mac should be able to play them, I've also tried calling tech support but that didn't work either. What should I do? I'll try anything just please help!!!

Try using Disk Utility to repair your startup disk (hard drive) as shown in Dr.Smokes Resolving Disk, Permission, and Cache Corruption.
You may have some directory corruption causing this issue. Repair Permissions also.

Purchased games won't work

I purchased a game and whenever I try to sync my ipod
(5th Generation 60 gb video (new version etc)) this
message comes up:

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

- sign out and the sign back into Game Center
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

Pogo won't play games java won;t work with firefox

I was playing pogo and it came up to update Java. Did it and now can't play most of the games like canasta. Says java won't work with firefox.....it did before. try for 4 days not and no luck

Apple is selling a game that won't Work, for now.

The game in question is "HeavyMach2". Apple has discounted it from $.99 to .99. Thing is, the game cannot be played. Why? Because the developers are based in Japan. So, why sell a game that cannot be played? It's info goes over WiFi, and until Japan is able to get some kind of normalcy (may God watch over them), Heavy Mach 2 will not be playable.
I think it's pretty chintzy of Apple to take this kind of advantage during the disasters going on over there.

Thanks for the advice, Niel. Interestingly enough, the Unit Converter had not created a plist file. I did try you suggestion of dragging all the widget plist files to the desktop, but the Unit Converter still didn't work.
But I have now found the solution. The problem was being caused by a custom number format that I had inherited from the Panther installation. In Tiger it's impossible to set a custom number format - the number format is set automatically for each region and it's impossible to change it. But it was possible to set a custom number format in Panther and it is recognized by Tiger. So I can either keep using my custom number format, in which case Unit Converter won't work, or set one of the standard number formats, in which case Unit Converter works (I see that now it actually launches, it has also created its plist file: eveidently the file didn't exist before because the widget had never got as far as creating it).
I think it's very bad that Apple removed the custom number format feature. And since the old custom number format from Panther was recognized by the new system, it's also bad that this widget doesn't work with it.
But at least I've found the solution to my own problem!

My f5 and f6 keys won't work on a game i play?

I play a game called runescape and there is hotkeys which are f1-f5 mainly and i am trying to use these hotkeys to do certian things faster and my F5-F6 won't work, please help i'm a new mac user since last christmas!
