'Games' category missing in app store

Hi, just recently the category for games has gone missing in the app store on my iPod, i live in Australia and I haven't come across anyone else that is experiencing this problem, only online.
Just wondering if anyone has any idea if its going to come back any time soon or what's happening

This appears to have been a problem going back to February and I have yet to be able to find any king of reply from Apple. I can only assume that if we aren't in the US, we aren't worthy of their attention. They won't even acknowledge your existence if you haven't purchased AppleCare. The only downfall of Apple products is, you never stop paying for them.

You can't downgrade the iOS on the iPad.
Quit iTunes, reboot the Mac and reboot the iPad and then try again.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

Games category missing

The games category in my app store disappeared suddenly yesterday. Every other category is still there but this one...Anyone else with the same problem and what do I do?

Try logging out of your account on the iPad by tapping on your id in Settings > Store and then log back in and see if the games category then appears.
Other things that you could try are closing the App Store app completely and seeing if games show when you re-open the app : from the home screen (i.e. not with the App Store app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the App Store app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
And/or a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

i downloaded it already but it should have the iTunes U App in my homepage as a shortcut. now, it doesn't have this icon in my apps pages. when i need to use it, i have to open the App store and search it out every time. For example, after downloaded the Facebook App, it would have a FB App in my homepage. my Question is I DON'T HAVE THE ITUNES U App IN MY HOMEPAGE NOW. You do not have the option? Make sure there aren't any Parental Restrictions not allowing you to purchase apps.

I need the steps to publish my game to the Mac App Store.

I am working on a project using Unity3d game engine, it started as a free game but i thought that i could create something that sell so i need all the steps to be mac developer to be able to distribute my finished game at the Mac App Store!
Please notice that i am not from the USA, and there is no app store for my country, is that gonna be a problem regarding me getting paid?

Start at the [Mac Dev Center|http://developer.apple.com/devcenter/mac/index.action]. Everything you need is there.

No. When you join the Mac Developer Program you'll get instructions on how to set up your bank account and how to place your app in the correct stores.

I am missing the app store button

updated my phone last night and I am missing the app store button- is there a fix for this? HELP

Default apps are part of the iOS and cannot be deleted. Search all home screens and all folders and/or search for it with Spotlight, that will tell you what folder it's in.
Also check Settings > General > Restrictions to see if it has been restricted.
If not found, Settings > General > Reset > Reset Home Screen Layout.

My daughters Ipod Touch is stuck with a black/blue screen. She downloaded the game Breakaway from the App store yesterday and today she opened the game it said this game is not connected to game centers and the screen went black/blue reset didn't work

I tried resetting without the power adapter and with the power adapter and nothing happens. She has only had the Itouch for 2 weeks.

I did try that numerous times and nothing happened. However, I did eventually get it to work. After trying to reset it numerous times and the screen still just staying frozen I logged into the Home Share portion on the Home computer and deleted the Bubble Birds game. Eventually the Itouch died and I was finally able to reset it by plugging it in and holding down the buttons. I doubt the deletion of the game helped, but since it seemed to be the cause, I went ahead and deleted it. Thank you for your reply.

There is an ad for a game stuck on my App Store and I can't make it go away

I have a new iPad and there is an ad for a game stuck on my App Store page. Does anyone know how I can clear it?

Double click the home button and swipe the App Store up to close it. Check to see if the add is gone. If it's still there it's reset time. Press and hold down both the home and power button for 10-15 seconds till the Apple logo appears. Release both buttons. Wait 15-20 seconds till your iPad starts on it's own. Now the add is gone.

Games missing from app store category

Same as tittle mentioned, my games category seems to be missing from the category list from my AppStore

Thanks. Both categories are definitely in the iTunes Store since I can see them from iTunes on my computer, but not having an account in Malaysia I can't check from my iPad. Perhaps someone else here will have an Malaysian account and be able to either duplicate the problem or offer advice.

Missing Category Icons in App Store

Hello,
When I open the App Store, there are only 2 icons visible under "Categories" - Entertainment and Books. The others are all blank. The category titles are all there, just no pictures. Everything works fine. Occasionally when I sync the phone to iTunes the icons come back temporarily but disappear again soon after that. Sometimes when I sync they don't reappear - I haven't yet figured out what I am doing in the sync that does or does not bring them back.
Everything on the main page of the phone is visible, it is just icons within the App Store that are gone.
I have searched a bit and found similar posts regarding the icons being incorrect, but not missing altogether.

It is an iPhone 3G S, 32GB, OS 3.1.2, no jailbreak or any other modifications. This was happening both before and after I upgraded the OS, and resetting the phone did not help either.
Funny thing is that my iPod Touch does the same thing (many of the same apps installed on both) so I wonder if there is some kind of conflict.
My apps are: AP Mobile, Bloomberg, Reuters News Pro, ESPN ScoreCenter, The Weather Channel, Epocrates, Sirius/XM. That's it...the phone is just a week old.

Tabs missing on app store using iPod touch 2G

When I go onto app store and tap on a game or application.
It enters the game page, which displays info on game and buy .etc
But where there used to be a little tab you tapped on to go back to search or top 25 this no longer appears.
Looks like apple has been tinkering with app store again.

Same here since second to last change at Appstore
about 6-8 months ago. There's no back button on the INFO
page in any category or heading at the Appstore.
I sent a screenshot with the same blank top gray bar.
So in essence Apple does not support this iOS at the
AppStore anymore. AND alot of developers are not using
the iOS SDK that allows support for iOS 3. Not sure
what the reason for this ignorance on part of Apple and
developers? C'MON!!! it's been ages. Fix it.

Games section on the App Store

Is it just me or is the game section on the iPAD different than every other category?
Every other category lets me see everything within that section when I click on new. Where I have pages and pages of apps to choose from.
Maybe I'm an idiot, but I don't see the same thing on the games section. I know there are hundreds of games for the iPAD, but I'm only seeing 15-20 of them.
How do I view ALL the games for the ipad, and not just the new and noteworthy, or the featured ones?

Unfortunately, the App Store for the iPad is really quite bad, so far. I'm hoping they will improve it soon. If you do a search on the word "game" in the store and then click the "See all" button, you'll get dozens of pages of games, all of them, I presume. The problem is that they only show in pages of twelve. You have to then scroll through the entire list, one page of twelve at a time. Each page takes a rather long time (relatively speaking- about three seconds) to load, so it's tedious to get through. Then, most annoyingly, if you click on an app to check it out, when you go back to the search list, it returns you to the very first page, for some reason. How ridiculous! Especially if you were on page 30. The only way around this is to write down (on a piece of paper, no less, because if you exit the App Store you'll also be back on page one when you return) the names of any apps that strike your fancy, and then do a search for them after you're done scrolling through all the games.
Another thing you can do is search for game categories, like "adventure games" or "word games" and get a more narrowed list when you click on "see all."
Hope they improve this real soon.
