Games don't work

i recently purchased star wars battlefront, and it worked fine on tiger...but once i upgraded to leopard, it didn't work. star wars battlefront clearly installed, but whenever i click on the icon, it bounces, the name shows up on the top bar like any other application that's launched - but nothing shows up. it's just showing the desktop. is this a patch issue? if it's not, then i'm considering downgrading to tiger 10.4.

Check on the manufacturer's website and see if they are supporting 10.5 yet. They may offer a patch as you said to allow the game to run. They may not offer it until later in the future. I looked around a bit and didn't see anything. Normally some third party fanatics will get together and write a patch themselves for it, but that normally doesn't happen for a while.
If you wish to currently play Starwars Battlefront and run 10.5, I would suggest, if you have a large enough hard drive or multiple harddrives, partitioning and installing both systems, 10.4 on one partition (or disk) and 10.5 on the other. I currently do that with 4 different systems. I have 4 harddrives, one has 10.4.10, one has 10.4, one has 10.1 and another has OS 9.2.2 and 10.4. This way I can run basically any program I want. This may be your only option until someone releases a patch for it to run in 10.5.

I have contacted Big Fish games and tried all the suggestion still to no avail.....

If you "recently purchased Mavericks" without upgraded your hardware (MBP), then your MBP is still capable of running whichever flavor of OS X that you previously were able to run these 40% of Big Fish games.
In that case, partition your hard drive or add an external drive and install that flavor of OS X (Snow Leopard or Lion) there and "dual-boot" your MBP into the alternative OS X when you want to play those games using Startup Manager in the System Preferences before Restart.

Games don't work any longer

I have several games, some free and some purchased, that I have played quite a bit, but now they don't work. When I open them, they act like they are loading, but them I kicked out. This happens at different points during the load process. It has now happened to 3 or 4 different games. Does anyone have any idea why this happens or how to fix it?

One of the files may have become corrupted over time. One solution is to remove the games from your iPod altogether and then resync them to your iPod. If that doesn't work, restoring your iPod may be a good idea at some point as well. Just keep in mind, that restoring an iPod will erase all the music and files from the iPod so make sure they are backed up on your computer somewhere. Hope this helps.

K7N2G-L + newly installed Sempron 2800+ = games don't work anymore

Hi folks,
I have upgarded my K7N2G-L mobo with a Sempron 2800+ Socket A Thoroughbred core and after that games installed on my computer stopped working. After clicking a game icon, the black screen is displayed for a moment and Windows XP returns.
I have formatted the HDD and installed Windows XP again, than installed drivers from mobo CD and at the end games. It didn't help. Everything is as before. I have upgraded BIOS to the newest version yet before I installed the cpu. Bios recognizes the cpu correctly. I have performed HOT CPU TESTER PRO 4.41 and the cpu is OK. FSB is set to 166 (333) in the bios as well as by jumpers. The cpu temperature must be ok because the cpu passed hot cpu tester pro with a 100% load for 6 hours. However games work when I change FSB to the 133 (266) and what's more they work when the fsb is set to maximum 158, higher fsb results with that games stop to work.
Any suggestions?

I have installed some game yesterda , but none of them are working ,
There's always missing file , files like " d3dcompiler_43.dll " d3dx10_43.dll ........etc
My friend told me just download from the internet what ever the files missing but i guess download from microsoft or toshiba or nvidia website will be more safety .

http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8109 for a download. You should also find the required files on the game installation cd in a folder expected to be called DirectX. I think you must have skipped the DirectX installation each time you installed a game.

After IOS8 update my iPad runs slow, most games don't work, and touch screen isn't as responsive.

I installed IOS8 on my iPad2 now my iPad runs slower than before. Most games do not run. The touch

DirectX 11 games don't work on MSI GS60-2PE Ghost Pro

I have MSI GS60-2PE Ghost Pro
Every game, that uses dx11 doesn't load. It just gives a black screen. If I try to launch the game on the intel hd graphics card, a game launches (with obvious lack of perfomance). I tried installing the latest drivers, switching to some old drivers, but it didn't help.

ah your having same problem as me Alienizer my gs70 came back from repair with a broke GTX 870M that couldnt play anything on DX11 so to confirm this install futurmark 3DMARK 11 then tell me if you get this error DXGI_DEVICE_HUNG if it does then your GTX 870M is broken and you would have to send it to MSI Service where they can repair under warranty hopefully if your laptop is still new
Update: this type of issue cannot be fixed by drivers switching or upgrading since issue will presist so this is mostlikely a failure in GTX 870M chip itself so yeah if futuremark 3DMARK 11 throws above error then i can confirm GPU of yours is dead it isnt doing preformace because it's broken.
Update 2: Sorry i meant to say install Futurmark 3DMARK 11 then run a full DX11 test durring load if you see loadbar behaving weird like it becomes out of place and you see white dots above thats sign of GPU is failing so then aprox half way the bar will load but then freeze and shortly after it will exit and program will throw a window log with DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG near bottom of log.

Javascript games that work in IE don't work in Firefox - why?

When you open it in IE you can see what it should do!

That particular game was created a long time ago... in the age of Netscape version 4.
Netscape version 4 had proprietary objects named layers that are no longer supported in Firefox, so the game fails because it assumes that Firefox supports layers. You can see this if you open Tools > Error Console and scroll to the end of the long list after clicking the link to start the game.
If you think the developers of this site might be willing to update the game, let them know about this problem.
If not, and the game is very important to you, you could try Chris Pederick's User Agent Switcher extension (Tools > Add-ons > Get Add-ons) to make Firefox temporarily masquerade as an old version of Internet Explorer. There's no guarantee that will make the game work in Firefox, but it has a better chance than what you get now.

Upgraded to yosemite now my speakers don't work and i can't play videos on Facebook.

When i play a video on face book I'm told i need to upgrade flashplayer, i wasn't even aware i had it downloaded! I have got rid of flash player (i think ) and now I'm told i need to download FP before i can watch videos. I can't play games on FB either and my speakers don't work.
I wish i hadn't upgraded to Yosemite to be honest as i prefer the old layout and it seems to have caused me problems. Everything was working fine before the Upgrade to Yosemite.

Is the version of Windows 7 Ultimate you have installed 32bit or 64bit?
Open windows Control Panel, open Device Manager and open up Sound, Video and Game Controllers - do you see an existing entry for the IDT High Definition Audio CODEC listed here?
There is an alternative IDT Audio driver you may wish to try on the following link.

Z77A-GD65 - fast ram and Intel Rapid Start don't work together??

Greetings.
I have got 2x4Gbyte G.Skill CL10 2400Mhz ram. When running this ram at its default speed at 2400Mhz, Intel Rapid Start don't work. When I shut it down, it acts normal until the point where the system "wakes up" for a few seconds to write to the special partition for IRS. The PC then try to reboot, but after 2 attemps it says that the Overclocking has failed and I have the choise of F1 (setup) or F2 (load default settings and continue).
If I lower the ram speed below the default speed (i.e. don't use the XMP profile), then Intel Rapid Start works fine.
Memtest86 do not show any error at all after 4 pass with the G.Skill at 2400Mhz. To me it seems like the motherboard can't handle this speed at the state in Intel Rapid Start.
Anybody with info about what to do?

Second, I can messure a real performance difference when using this memory at 2400mhz vs 1600mhz, f.i. Winrar5.01 x64, when searching in reg.database, and other memoryhungry programs. My graphic-card is not powerfull enough to show any difference in games, but almost anything else I _can_ se a difference.
If you honestly can read these 3 links and still say, that memory speed does not matter, I think I know more about this than you

IPad 2 Rotation, Sleep, and Volume Buttons Don't Work.

I have an iPad 2 running 7.1.1 (11D201) and just yesterday the sleep sleep and volume buttons don't work, and the screen won't rotate at all. I have already tried the following:
Switched the Lock Rotation/Mute settings in General
Power cycling it
Held the sleep and menu button to reset it (the button worked for that at least)
Done a network reset
Reset All Settings and restored from backup
Reset All Settings and restored from iCloud
Erase All Content and Settings and restored from backup
Erase All Content and Settings and restored from iCloud
If anyone has any OTHER suggestions besides what I've already tried, I am all ears. Thanks.

Go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here. You WILL lose all of your data (game scores, etc,) but, for the most part, you can redownload apps and music without be charged again. Also, if you have IOS-7, read this.
