Games dont appear in iTunes

i bought 4 games for my 3rd generation 4gig Nano on a Vista pc under my username. Vista then got nuked, and now im on a different computer running Windows XP, with SP 2. the thing is, when i open ituns there is no games menu in the sidebar. worse, i checked the prefrences and there is no option to show a games menu. i just updated both the ipod and 'tunes, if thats any help. any and all suggestions will be appreciated. thanks.

It sounds as if the reason the games aren't showing is that they were on the other computer. You can try contacting customer service at iTunes and explaining the situation. They may allow you to download the games again at no cost.
Best of luck.

  • Games not appearing in iTunes library

So since I updated iTunes to 7.7.1 and the applications section was added (unless it was added in the update before that) I can no longer see the games section. When I sync to my iPod it only has the default games that it originally came with. Also when I go the the iPod settings and choose what to sync, under games there is nothing. The game in question is Peggle and my iPod (Classic 80GB) is up to date.
I've also deauthorized and reauthorized the computer, and checked for purchases, nothing.

I ran into this bug, too. All my game stats got erased! boo, hiss
Please report this as a bug!

  • HT1977 Purchased apps dont appear on iTunes

I purchased pages and numbers with an iPad I dont longer have for a year. Now I have an iPhone and I cant find those apps on iTunes. Do I have to buy them again?

Since the apps were purchased for iPad you wouldn't be able to see it under the iPhone format, so you would have to purchase the iPhone version of Pages and Numbers, same thing with your computer. There are 3 different versions (with 3 different prices) of these applications.

  • Imported tunes dont appear in itunes until i restart.

often , when i import tunes it goes through the motions and brings up the little box about processing each mp3.
but the mp3's are no where to be found until i quit and restart.
its quite basic but seems to be getting worse.
i have about 9000 tunes in my library, and the tunes i'm importing have no protection and are infact copied from my other itunes library folder on another machine.

That is the normal behaviour. iTunes must be running for you to be able to access the media stored there with the Apple TV.

  • Can't download previously purchased tv shows or movies, they dont appear on my MBA in itunes but do appear on my ipod 5

i recently purchased a new ipod 5 (ios 7), i have a 2013 MBA, i am running the latest itunes on both devices.
i am not able to see a list of my previously purchased tv shows or movies in itunes on my MBA but can see the list on my new ipod.
they dont appear as "previously purchased" any resolution to this issue

The iTunes Store went DRM free for music back in 2009 but the other content such as movies, TV shows, audiobooks and iBooks still contain it as required by the rights holders. This limits you to playing the content on a computer or device with the necessary software to decode the DRM. It should be possible to connect your large display to your laptop's audio and video outputs if you want to make use of the larger display, or you could purchase an Apple TV unit.
Here is one of the support articles on this topic iTunes: Frequently asked questions about viewing and syncing videos. I imagine there are references to the same or similar in the terms and conditions that most of us skip over when installing the software.

  • My ipad does not appear in itunes. I am OS 10.6, itunes is up to date, I have restarted computer and ipad and switched usb sockets. Dont know if its related, but I can no longer see my sony handycam in imovies too.

My brand new iPad 2 does not appear in iTunes. I am OS 10.6, iTunes is up to date, I have restarted computer and iPad and switched usb sockets. Don't know if its related, but I can no longer see my Sony Handycam in iMovies too.

What content are you wanting to copy of the iPad ? You should be able to copy off anything that you've purchased from Apple (films, music, ibooks, apps etc) by connecting the iPad to your computer's iTunes and doing File > Transfer Purchases. If you want to copy off music copied from your own CDs or purchased from other sites then you will need to find a program for your computer that can copy them off – iTunes won't copy them off.
For photos taken with the iPad, copied to it via the camera connection kit or saved from emails/websites then you should be able to copy them off via the Windows camera wizard.
For photos that were originally synced from a computer you will need a third-party app such as Simple Transfer which can copy them off via your wifi network. But as photos are 'optimised' when they are synced to the iPad, any that you then copy back to a computer may not be exactly the same as they originally were on your computer.
Content in third-party apps (documents and files etc) then how you copy that content off will depend upon what the apps that they are in support e.g.either via the file sharing section at the bottom of the device's apps tab when connected to iTunes, via wifi, email, dropbox etc.

  • ITunes imports songs but they wont appear in iTunes

When I go to import music, iTunes will go through the whole import process but when I go to search in my library, the songs dont appear. I can search for the album and it appears in the search box but when I click on it, nothing happens. I can go through my iTunes media folder in finder and find the album with all the songs in there but for some reason, they're not showing up in iTunes itself.
    Please help.

Do you have itunes Match switched on People have reported that switching it off can help speed up imorted content appearing.

  • Some, but not all, podcasts existing on the iPod no longer appear in iTunes. Different podcasts have been affected at different times, after changes in the state of the iPod. Only podcasts are affected.

I have not seen this precise issue addressed anywhere. I don’t know if it’s an iTunes or an iPod problem:
    - Some, but not all, podcasts existing on the iPod no longer appear in iTunes;
this, after normal behavior for more than a year since purchase of the iPod.
    - Different podcasts have been affected at different times, after changes in the state of the iPod.
    - Only podcasts are affected.
    - This concerns an iPod nano 6th gen. and iTunes 11.0.2 (26) on System 10.6.8
    - The only change to iTunes, the Mac, or the iPod is that just before this condition began
I’d begun syncing an iPhone via iTunes.
I sync manually (“manually manage music and videos”). The first time this happened, I wanted to delete seventeen podcast episodes (all belonging to one podcast) existing on the iPod — but they didn’t show up in iTunes. I tried re-downloading them and re-syncing, to see if the new versions would somehow “re-link” to iTunes. They didn’t. Only one — new — episode appeared in iTunes.
I ultimately reset the iPod and manually resynced all the podcasts I currently had on iTunes. That worked, though I had to painstakingly add in all the other content deleted by the reset.
So: after that reset and manual sync, all podcasts and episodes on the iPod were visible to iTunes and I was able to delete the podcast and its — now 18 — episodes I’d wanted to get rid of to begin with. But the next time I connected the iPod, only 8 podcast episodes out of 21 episodes total existing on the iPod were visible to iTunes. These are different podcasts; I’d deleted the original “invisible” ones.
By “visible,” I mean in the “Podcasts” list view under “[name]’s iPod” in the iTunes sidebar. If I select “[name]’s” iPod in the iTunes sidebar and the “Podcasts” tab, all podcasts and episodes are visible, though greyed out because I’m set to sync manually. It’s unclear to me if these are the podcasts on the iPod or those currently in iTunes, as they are currently the same. If I switch to syncing automatically, all content on the iPod will be lost again, so I’m not up to trying it at the moment.
As I said,  this involves only podcasts. All other content on the iPod does appear in iTunes.

I have the same problem- i see my movies in the ipod section in itunes and they even show as mpeg4 in the 'kind' section but they dont have that small TV icon next to them. if i play these in itunes, they play fine- but try playing them on the ipod and all you hear is the sound and no picture. All videos that i manually transfer work fine in the beginning- its when i hook up the ipod to the comp again and start itunes- they start showing up without the 'tv' icon!! i have to again transfer them from the itunes library to activate them as videos.

  • Ipod wont charge, appear in itunes, or turn on

my husband has just gotten an ipod 5.5 gen. We hooked it up to the computer and synced it. It looked like it was doing fine so we left the house. When we got back it was not apparent in the itunes screen and it wont turn on. It had very low battery life when we plugged it into the computer. I didn't know what happened so I unplugged it, restarted the computer and plugged it back in. There was no difference. I have a nano 3rd gen, I plugged it in to our computer using the same cord and it said connected and appeared in itunes. I tried to restart the 5.5 gen as stated in the manual -switching the on/hold button once then pressing and holding the menu and selected buttons for 6 to 8 sec, but there is no response. I dont know what to do now. please help

It's probably broken from the latest update. If its new then you might be one of the lucky ones. Take it back to the store or call Apple about it.

  • Track names dont appear

After upgrading to the latest iTunes, when i put the iTunes of full screen it doesn't show me the track name/artist and album on the full screen.
Also when i place the mouse over genius mixes it doesn't show me what type of mix it is.
Is anyone else having this problem as well and is it just an option that i have accidentally put on?

the track names dont appear, even though i am connected to the internet and, itunes has them (that was my source for recording
So these were iTunes purchases? Or did you record these somehow?
cannot spend hours looking thru others poorly worded or cryptically worded responses.
As opposed to "poorly worded or cryptically worded" questions?

  • IPod won't appear in iTunes or in My Computer. Help please

    Hello
my iPod is fully charged (2nd gen nano), and charged up last night.
When i plug it in to put more songs on, it won't appear in iTunes or my computer. I know that the USB port is working fine, becuase i tried my pen drive and that was fine, and the iPod screen lights up.
I've dont the first 4 R's - Reset, Retry, Restart and Reinstall.
But i don't really want to do Restroe, because it will wipe everything off my iPod, and if i then still can't get it to sync, then i'm abit screwed.
    Any toher ideas from anyone?
    Any help would be good
    thankyouu
    xx

When the screen lights up, is there anything on the display? If it's just a white lit up screen, try to force it into disk mode (which can be difficult if you can't see anything). Essentially, turn the hold switch off so there's no orange color beneath it, hold the menu & middle buttons for 10 seconds and then immedidately hold the middle & play/pause buttons for 10 seconds. If it appears in iTunes at this point you may want to consider restoring.
If this is not the case and you see the normal display when it's connected to the computer, I'd suggest connecting it to a different USB port (preferably one directly on the back of the computer - avoid connecting the iPod via USB hubs, keyboards, printers, etc). Try this step even though your USB port works with other devices. You might also try a different USB cable if you have one from another iPod.
