"Games" icon in nokia 5800 main menu

hey,
does anyone know how i could have a "games" icon on my nokia 5800 main menu similar to the one on the nokia n97, because i dont like how my games are mixed in with all my other applications under the "apps" icon.

Nokia 5800 Mains Charger N-Series

I recently bought a Nokia 5800 Mains Charger N-Series. I plugged it into my phone (a Nokia N73) and it began charging for around 30 seconds.
After this time it stopped charging my phone. I fiddled around with it but it wouldn't begin charging my phone again.
I then tried using the charger on my brother's Nokia phone and the same thing happened. It charged for 30 seconds and then wouldn't start again.
The main issue is that now I cannot charge my phone or my brother's phone at all. I used two different chargers on these phones (both of which worked fine previously) but they won't charge our phones at all.
I would really appreciate some help with this matter since both my phone and my brother's phone are out of action completely. All this from buying a phone charger which was supposed to be compatible with my N73 seems to now have ruined the phone.

So will your phone and your brothers phone charge using the original charger that came with your phone anymore? If it doesn't than you have probably damaged your phones by using the faulty charger.
If that is the case then I think you already know what the solution. We can only help you with settings and software issues here. Anything else that involves hardware and replacement parts can only be fixed by a Nokia Care Point. As for the charger, you need to take it up with Play.com

Can i put a phone icon (like Favorites) on main menu?

Favorites is my most frequent use of my iphone. I would like that icon on the main menu without having to choose Phone first. Is that possible?

How can I restore the icon items in the main menu bar (clock,time,battery)?

A few weeks ago I noticed that the items in the main menu bar are not updated, do not work, and cannot be selected. When I move the cursor over this area, the rainbow cursor appears and nothing can be selected. As a result, the time, date, battery status, finder, and sound icons in the upper right hand corner no longer function. I have shut down and restarted the computer, but the problem still persists. Any available help on this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Niel, I followed your suggestion, but nothing seemed to change. I couldn't find the exact file, but found one that was very similar....com.apple.systemuiserver.plist...... I dragged the icon to the desktop and then attempted to move it to the upper right corner, but the rainbow cursor was displayed and nothing happened. Do you have any other ideas? Nokia 5800 white menu button flashes

Hi & yes its me again , i seem to have a strange thing on my mobile, whenever i reply to a message or just end a phone call & the mobile locks itself automatically the white menu screen flashes as though its indicating that i have a missed call or sms, but however I would have none of these, the inbox isn't full either, to make the white button stop flashing I have to unlock and relock the phone again.
Has anyone had this type of problem before?

Found out it was the breathing light that was going slowly on and off, if i disable it, its gone, however i enabled it as i didnt mind having this feature turned on, the new sms or missed call light flashes faster than the breathing light, however Its fine with me Thanks to all!!!

Sharing A Solution - CREATING A SET OF SUB MENUS ON MAIN MENU IN iDVD

A recent question I posted got some attention from a number of people about how to create a set of sub menus on the main menu of an iDVD project. Evidently there are a number of us who tried to find a way to do this. I attended an Apple Store iDVD workshop and was fortunate enough to be the only one in attendance. So I had the Mac Genius’s attention for a full hour and he was very helpful. Here’s how to do this in detail. Good luck!

CREATING A SET OF SUB MENUS ON MAIN MENU IN iDVD
NOTE: when you import the iMovie file don’t add to the drop zones or add music to the sub menus until you finish this work!
Go to the map view. Once in map view choose to show the map view as a flow chart moving from left to right – it’s the left selection of the two which appear on the left-hand side of the sizing slider tool that determines how big the map view icons will appear. You will want to set that slider to the minimum size to make it easier to navigate. Select the main menu icon.
Open the main menu to edit it and select “Scene Selection” and then copy and paste it as many times as you have sub menus. Each sub menu can only hold 6 scenes so if you have 18 scenes you will have 3 sub menus which means you will copy the first one and then past it twice which will give you 3 sets of “Scene Selection” options on the main page.
After you create the set of “Scene Selections” return to map view. You will now have a copy of each group of sub menus under each sub menu. The entire film will be recreated for each set of “Scene Selections” that you have and you need to edit them out so that you have only one for each sub menu.
You CANNOT simply delete the groups in front of the one you want to keep. For instance, suppose you have 3 sub menu groups and you are at the first sub menu selection. You cannot simply delete the first two groups in front of the third one – it will delete all of the sub menus after the one you want.
(REPEAT FROM HERE) Go to the last group of sub menus and select the scenes for the first group of sub menus. In other words go down to the last grouping of sub menus, locate the first sub menu group and choose each scene within the group and delete each one. This will leave you with an empty sub menu. Do this for the next group and any subsequent group up to the last one. Do not delete the last group! This is the group you want at this level.
Once you have deleted the scenes you can cut and paste the last group of scenes to the first sub menu selection in the group. Once done you can delete the other sub menus groups that come after the first one.
Once you have the group of scenes moved to the first sub menu selection you need to change the name of the group of scenes. For instance if you are working on group 13-18 you need to change the group name from 1-6 which is what it is currently named.
Repeat these steps for each successive group moving up from the last one to the top with one change – you will choose to delete the last group from each successive sub menu since you have already saved it in the last group you worked on which is below the one upon which you are now working.
Once you are at the top group you will then simply be able to delete the other sub menus that appear beyond the first one.

Bad performance on global race-nokia 5800

Ive updated my flashlite, and all, but the performance of global race game on my nokia 5800 (just bought a few days ago) is quite bad(framerate wise) compared to my cousins' 5800. what could be the problem?

When I read battery estimates I always deduct 50% of it, that is usually a more realistic figure...the battery times are laboratory test results and usually don´t have a lot in common with "the real world"...
This isn´t just with Nokia phones btw...
About your test: I think your battery is fine, one the reasons why you couldn´t achieve the 35 hours is that you had the phone turned on...and if the phone was moving (it was constantly changing antenna signals) then the result gets worse as well...

Nokia 5800 Huge Icons

Hey friends
I have nokia 5800, recently upgraded to V30. but the icons in menu are really huge.. i want small icons which was there in v11. Is there any option to make them small?
There is small font option but that doesnt changes icons in menu grid.

I have the same issue. Updated to v30 on 03/11/2009 and my menu icons have gone from 4 in a row to only 3. They now have the description underneath but I now have to scroll up and down pages which used to show on one screen. Changing the font size to small makes no differance.

I have a new MacBook(2012). Being a new Mac user, I do not know what to do when Safari doesn't open at all. The icon just bounces up and down and when the cursor is on the top main menu bar it is the spinning rainbow wheel. Any ideas for help?

When I try to open safari the icon stats bouncing and then nothing happens other than the cursor turning to a spinning rainbow wheel when it hoovers on the top main menu bar. I have shut down and restart several times. My safari worked yesterday and then today this, but with. I indication of a problem. I can't even get the browser window to open so that I can clear caches or reset anything. When I opened my computer this time I don't even get a bouncing icon. No recognition of selecting the program at all. If I go to spotlight and try to open safari from here I still get no response. Can you help?

If you have moved the Safari application from the Applications folder, move it back.
As far as the cache goes, there's a work around for that when you can't empty the Safari cache from the menu bar.
Go to ~/Library/Caches/com.aple.Safari.Cache.db. Move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
Try Safari.

There are some keyboard commands (shortcuts) you can use instead of having to go to the Apple menu -
Control-Eject          This brings up the Restart-Sleep-Cancel-Shutdown window.
Command-Option-Eject          This puts the machine to sleep.
Command-Control-Eject          This closes all apps and restarts the machine.
Command-Option-Control-Eject          This closes all apps and shuts the machine down.

I have just connected my new apple tv, in the main menu I see only two icons; "computers" and "settings". Where do I find the icons for internet, movies etc. We do not live in the US..

The unit has full WiFi access with no problems, I can access ITunes on my laptop via home sharing no problem.

Reading through the threads my take is
There seems to be something awry with wifi chipset. Typical symptoms are initially being able to connect to connect to a Wifi network then the connection is dropped. Then you see just the 'computers' and 'settings' icons on screen
Power off, reset and factory restore doesnt seem to solve it
Occasionally its nearby antenna cables etc causing interference
One report with convincing evidence it was the HDMI cable, swapping to anotehr cable fixed the problem
Plugging in ethernet works, this is purely a wifi issue
Sometimes plugging in ethernet temporararily wakes up the wifi
Many people seem to have exchanged their units only for the same thing to happen to the new unit a few weeks later. Just wondering if its a fomponent fail or heat issue.

How do I make a main menu for a game?

I need to make a main menu for this tower defense game that I am making. I have 2 parts to the menu that I need to put together. I have it as follows:
I have a start screen where the player presses the start button. I now need it to take the user to the main menu itself. I have both the start menu and main menu in the same document but on different layers. I have a button labeled as start which I have set up to where when it is clicked, it changes colors but I also need it to hide/show the menu layer. I just need the that start button to take users to the menu layer where I have 3 more buttons which are resume, new, and options. I will need those buttons to go to their different layers also. After users hit the resume or new buttons, I need the game itself to start which I will start making after I figure out the other issues.
I am new to Flash and I really want to learn how to make tower defense games. For now, I am using http://www.ehow.com/how_7788131_make-tower-defense-game-flash.html as a guide to make the game stuff but it doesn't say anything about a main menu. I am using a trial version of Flash Pro CS6 and it is due to expire in 28 days.

Nokia 5800 menu problem

I have a problem with my nokia 5800. A red menu bar keeps flashing up intermittently rendering all other functions useless. i have tried cleaning the screen but it still keeps doing it. any suggestions before i throw it out the window as its driving me mad!

Try the following steps, check whether things are working after each step where appropriate, before trying the next.
Restart the Apple TV (Settings > General > Restart).
Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
Restart your router. (Also try removing it’s power cord for at least 30 seconds)
Reset the Apple TV (Settings > General > Reset > Reset all settings)
Restore the Apple TV (Settings > General > Reset > Restore)
