Games into ipod trouble

hello,
i have a 5th gen ipod video, and i have games ready to be put into my ipod. when i plug it in and try to sync it, i get this error, "some of the games...blah blah blah... because you are not authorized for them on this computer.
so i try to go to store tab and "uthorize computer" and i did. and it logged me into the appl store, but when i try again, it has the same error. i go back to the store section, and "authorize computer option is still there. i de-authorize and retry like 4 times. same error. but i know its authorized beacuse i can play the music from my library. i cant touch the music under devices (my ipod) music.
i tried to reinstall my itunes, restore my ipod, but no good. please help!

so i finally figured it out....if anyone else wants to know follow the following step: (note: this is for manual DLing)
1) sync your ipod to the comp and open itunes
2) click on your ipod name or the ipod icon under "devices"
3) Look at the top, there are tabs that list summary, music, TV shows, podcasts,etc....
4) click on the last tab which will say "games"
5)there's a box you can check called, "sync games" and then there's the choices "all games" or "selected games" pick a choice
6) a the bottom of the screen there are cancel and apply, click apply, and Voila!

I struggled with a similar issue. I had the Apple tech support people on the phone for close to an hour, and they were flummoxed as to why iTunes was recognizing my newly-purchased game but iPod wasn't. Turns out the iPod has the "Games" choice hidden under Extras. Go there, and you'll likely find what you're looking for. It worked for me. I came to this realization after doing a full restore on my iPod. Hope this helps....

  • Cannot export videos into iPod format?????

I have Quicktime Pro, and recently exported some 15 video or so into iPod format, then imported them into iTunes for storage on my 60 GB iPod 5G. Imagine my surprise to find the error message that some of the videos, including all but three of the ones I exported, cannot be played on my iPod. I even tried using iTunes to re-export the videos in iPod format, to no avail.
What's the deal? I thought the "export to iPod" option in Quicktime Pro 7.1.2 and the "convert selection to iPod" function in iTunes was so that I could vide my videos on this iPod. Why is this no longer working?????

There are some files (such as MPEG-1 and those with muxed audio) that Quicktime has trouble converting. I use iSquint for converting videos for my iPod, and it works great. It's faster than Quicktime, and it's also free!

  • Can not add games to iPod touch 4g...

Can not add games to iPod touch 4g from ITunes (PC) it worked befour new update but why not now..

I can now transfer apps including games to my ipod from windows pc in Itunes. I click on ipod tab on the left hand side then click on the apps tab then tick the box at the top to sync and now i can drag and drop apps. No apps or music was lost, still all on my ipod touch, but it did mix my apps up so i had to sort them out. I don't know why it did not work, no setting where change, but the update might of change it.

how can we transfer games from ipod 4 to a different ipod 4??

Follow the instructions here or here; using the first set of instructions then requires syncing the second device with the iTunes library containing the content. If you want to transfer the game data as well, perform a backup and restore.

How do I find games for ipod touch 1st gen?

You will just have to search for game that interests you and then see the Requirements section to see if it is compatible with the 1G with iOS 3.1.3..
    I know no easy way.

    You may need to connect the iPod in Recovery Mode and then restore it via iTunes.  See this article for instructions on getting your iPod into Recovery Mode.;

can I turn my old Iphone into Ipod? It says that I need a valid SIM card

Follow these steps to use your iPhone without a wireless service plan:
Insert the SIM card from your new, activated iPhone or one that was previously used to activate the original iPhone.
Connect the iPhone to iTunes on a computer connected to the Internet.
Once iTunes activates the device, you're free to remove the SIM card and use the iPhone as if it were an iPod touch.

  • Import asf file into ipod

How I can download asf file (Windows Media Audio/Video file) into ipod? thanks.
    ipod mini   Windows XP

I follow the link but I can't convert the asf file in my computer to mp3 file
Correct. This was already explained it is not possible using iTunes.
The link shows you how to convert WMA to an iPod format, just liked you asked.
If you want to convert AFS to an iPod format, you will have to find another converter (try google).
Also, you I highly recommend you convert to the much higher quality AAC and not MP3.

  • DOWNLOAD NEW GAMES FOR IPOD    "TETRIS"

If only there were better games for ipod.
Some sources say that they are looking to make new ones.
Although they will probably not be good and just take up more memory. 30gb yeah right more like 27.5gb.
    Tetris would be nice though.
Any other ideas for simple games?
    p.s. made you look!

Bill - thanks for your feedback - although I do have a little problem with the logistics on your idea:
Scenario - left hand holding Ipod for music, lap for holding newspaper & right hand holding 'java enabled phone'
Q1 - with what do I press buttons?
Q2 - how do I hold my coffee?
PS - Saying iPod video is just for music + video is like saying TV is only for TV and not for DVD/Video/Photos/Games via consoles etc.
PPS - I am new to Mac and wonder if this widening of iPod horizons to include mini-games is touching on a sensitive area......... anyway my only aim is maybe for Apple to look at the number of responses / views on this particular topic and maybe do somthing about it (we have the technology...)
PPPS - For those who do not want games on iPod - it is not compulsory to buy any when they are (eventually) produced.

  • I was trying download a game my iPod say I need gl es 2.0 graphics capability

I was trying download a game my iPod say I need gl es 2.0 graphics capability

You have a 2G iPod. That App requires at least a 3G iPod..
To more easily find compatible apps:
iOSSearch - search the iTunes store for compatible apps.
Apple Club - filter apps by iOS version.
Starting when iOS 7 was released, Apple now allows downloading the last compatible version of some apps (iOS 4.2.1 and later only)
App Store: Downloading Older Versions of Apps on iOS - Apple Club
App Store: Install the latest compatible version of an app
You first have to download the non-compatible version on your computer. Then when you try to purchase the version on your iPod you will be offered a compatible version if one exists.
