Games on more than one iPod???

Can the new iPod games be put on more than one 5th Generation iPod?
P4   Windows XP   iPod 5th Gen 60GB

Hi Duckyspawn!
All you need to do, when your iPod has the game synced to it, is to disconnect it from your computer, then plug in your wife's iPod. (It's not usually a good idea to connect iPods simultaneously if they are both auto-syncing).
Then, just click on her iPod in the Source List of iTunes, and go to the "Games" tab, to set up the syncing options.
Also, this article might help with instructions on syncing iTunes Store games to an iPod.

  • Is it possible to use a bought iPod game on more than one iPod?

My dad bought a game for his iPod and I don't know if or how I can use it on mine, too. Is it possible? If so, how?

I have an iPod nano (3rd gen) and he has iPod video (5th gen). He and I use the same computer, and iTunes, for our iPods.

  • Can I have more than one ipod with more than  music library on one computer

I was just wondering if i could have 2 different ipods (one a 5th generation and the other ipod touch) with 2 different music libraries on the same computer and itunes? because right now im using my parents computer and my fiance is using my laptop and we're moving so we'll only have one computer in the next few weeks. So if anyone could try to give me an answer or have a solution that would be fantastic lol!

See these articles about using more than one iPod on one computer, and with either one or more iTunes libraries.
    Multiple iPod installations.
How to use multiple iPods with one computer.
If you have the latest iTunes, an easy way to create a new library is to hold down the 'alt' key whilst opening iTunes (for Macs), or hold down the 'shift' key (for Windows).
This will give you the option of either using the current iTunes library or creating a new one.
There are various methods of transferring different songs to different iPods with a single iTunes library.
One is to manage the songs manually.
With this setting, you can drag and drop songs/playlists etc onto the iPod from iTunes, and also delete and/or edit songs which are currently on the iPod without affecting the iTunes library.
If you wish to keep the convenience of automatic sync, then you could set the iPods to sync with "selected playlists". This setting can be found in the iPod summary screen under the 'music' tab. With this setting, different playlists can be transferred and later deleted from each iPod without affecting any playlists stored in iTunes or the playlists on the other iPods.
Also, on the 'summary' main page you will see the option to "only sync checked items". With this setting selected, if you remove the check marks from any songs in iTunes, they will not be transferred to the iPod. You can restore the check mark if you want to put the songs back on the iPod at a later date.
Be aware that when playing songs in iTunes, any songs that do not have a check mark against them will be skipped over and will not be played.

  • How do I sync more than one Ipod on Itumes (MS Version)

    Hi everyone.
I have two different Ipods that I want to sync to the same computer, but with different music. I use one Ipod in the car and another at night to listen to relaxing music. Is there anyway to sync more than one Ipod on the same computer so that both have different files on them?
    Thanks for any suggestions!

  • How Can I Update More Than One Ipod on the Same Computer?

I've had my 30G Ipod since April 2006. For Christmas 2006, I bought my sister a 2G Ipod. I cannot figure out how to put songs on her Ipod as we both share the same computer and Itunes Library. I've already asked Ipod Corporate for help via their FAQ section regarding more than one Ipod operating with the same computer, but their advice (which told me to create a playlist small enough for her Ipod and checked as a shared playlist) did not work for me. I'd really appreciate any help with my problem. Owning an Ipod but being unable to listen to it, as I'm sure many people would agree, is quite annoying.

There are basically two ways of using multiple iPods on a computer and these involve:
    a) Sharing a single iTunes library and user account.
    b) Creating multiple user accounts and having separate libraries.
    Sharing a Library
If you want to share the one library, you can set either or all of the iPods so that they only get updated with only certain playlists (you can update from more than one if you wish):
Loading songs onto iPod automatically - Windows
Choosing the update option "Sync Music - Selected playlists" allows you to create a playlist specifically for the iPod and drag the tracks you want into it. If you tire of the list and want to change it, you just add or remove the songs you don't want. The ones you take out out remain in the library to be used some other time if you choose. You can read more about playlists at these links:
iTunes: Creating playlists of your favorite songs
How to create a Smart Playlist with iTunes
However since you seem to have a problem with that method you can choose to update any or all of the iPods manually and just drag whatever content you want to them: Managing content manually on iPod
    Separate User Accounts
Another option is to create a separate User account for each person on your PC or Mac. Different accounts by definition would give you completely separate libraries. Each account has it's own iTunes folder, Library and iTunes Music folder and you load it with CDs etc just as you did with your original one. The iPod can be set to update however the owner chooses, sync all, manual or sync specific playlists
If you are unfamiliar with setting up Windows user accounts you can read more here: Using Windows XP User Accounts

  • Using More Than One iPod On One Computer

    Hi everyone,
I am sure my question will be an easy one to answer for the right person - who will no doubt have more experience than Apple's helpline which I just tried.
I have a 60gb iPod with Colour display, which syncs with my iTunes (version 7.0) (currently at about 45gb) on a Windows XP machine. I have seen the new range of iPods and am very keen on getting one of the new Shuffles. My question is: can I use both iPods with the same iTunes, same music library, and on the same computer.
Any responses would be very gratefully received. If anyone happens to know what the student discount (as in how many %) is on the Apple Store then I'd also like to know.
    Many thanks in advance,
    Edd

Yes, you can use more than one iPod on the same computer.
If you don't want the same music on both, this article discusses two methods of setting it up:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=300432
My wife and I use Method Two in that article, and include the Recently Added smart playlist so that if either of us adds a song, it will be on both iPods for a few weeks.
The one thing to keep in mind is you will want to avoid having them both connected simultaneously. This article has more information:

  • Connecting more than one ipod to one mac computer

Can anyone please advise me on how I can connect more than one ipod to just the one mac computer. I need to set up 3 ipods to work on the one mac computer but each with there own itunes library. thanks

When the iPods belong to two users, there are a couple of recommended methods for using more than one iPod on a single computer. Method one is to have individual Mac or Windows user accounts which by definition would give you completely separate libraries. Each account has it's own iTunes folder, Library and iTunes Music folder and you load it with CDs etc just as you did with your original one. Each iPod can be set to update however the owner chooses, sync all, manual or sync specific playlists.
Method two is to set your preferences so that either one or both iPods get updated with only certain playlists within one library. Have a look at this article and see what you think and go for whichever you feel suits your needs best: How To Use Multiple iPods with One Computer
Another option when using a single library is to set one or both of the iPods to manual update: Managing content manually on iPod
Choosing the update option "automatically update selected playlists only" (called Sync Music - Selected playlists in iTunes 7) allows you to create a playlist specifically for each iPod and drag the tracks you want into it. If you tire of the list and want to change it, you just add or remove the songs you don't want. The ones you take out out remain in the library to be used by the other iPod. Make your playlist a Smart playlist and limit the size to just below the advertised capacity of your iPod ( for example, around 3700MB for a 4GB or 1800MB for a 2GB Mini or Nano). You can read more about playlists at these links:

  • More than one ipod - help

Can more than one ipod device be managed from a single computer? More importantly, can separate music libraries be used? I want to keep my music separate from my child's music, for a number of reasons. Thank you all in advance for your help.

I dont think you can make seperate libraries, but you can just make a seperate playlist for you and your child. When you want to add a song to either playlist, just click and drag from the main library.

  • Why can't I set up more than one ipod with the same e-mail account?

Why can't I setup more than one ipod with the same e-mail account?

Not really sure what you are doing that this doesn't work...I have an iPhone, iPad and iPod all using the same email account without any conflicts.  Can you explain a littl about what you are trying to do that isn't being allowed?

  • More than one Ipod on a single computer.

I just wanted to ask before I bought a Classic 80 gig if it is possible to have 2 seperate Ipods connected to a single computer with totally different music? The reason I ask is I have a 16 year old daughter and lets just say I really don't want to have to listen to her "choice" of music. Can I have 2 differnt lists of music so I can sync one with my music and she can keep hers syning with her choice? Also if it can be done how hard is it? I don't want anything that will be a total brain strain everytime I want to add a song or even to set up. Thanks in advance

Yes, you can connect more than one iPod to the same computer & iTunes library. You can manage what goes on to each iPod using simple playlists, one for you, one for your daughter. Just drag & drop items from the main menu to the relevant playlist and choose to sync selected playlists on each iPod.
