Games on nano

can i put games on my nano or not because it came with games, so i asumed that i could put more on. But when i bought one, i cant figure out how to install it. HELP!!!!!

Actually I dont think reimbursement is possible if you HAD looked in the upper right of the screen UNDER the game description youd have noticed that theres a NOTICE saying that the games on the itunes music store is not compatible for the ipod nano nad only for the 5th gen ipod. YOu can say that its unfortunate that you didntl fully read the information before you had purchased the game. But im sure you can plead your case to apple. Though i dont know th link to who youd contact .
GFF:)
Next time buyer beware adn read everything before makiing that purchase even if it is to easy. NOR is the games playable on itunes or your computer either.

  • Problem syncing iPod click wheel games to nano 3rd gen?

Hi, I've recently encountered a problem with syncing up my old nano with all of my click wheel games. I was hoping someone could help me, as I need to figure this issue out before Christmas. So, here's what's wrong:
I plug in my iPod to the computer, bring up iTunes, and set up all of the games I want to sync under the "games" tab. Once I click sync, it recognizes that the files are missing (I've tried to locate them, but to no avail; I think they've been deleted).
My problem; however, is this: I also have a 2nd gen iTouch. When apps for this iPod are corrupt or can't be located, all I have to do is find the app in the iTunes store, click "Buy" again, and it automatically downloads it for the second time, free of charge.
For the click wheel games; though, it seems that this tactic doesn't work. I tried going to the games section of the app store and tried to download the files again, for free, by clicking "Buy", but then it proceeds to tell me this: "You have already purchased this item. Would you like to buy it again? If you buy it again, you may have duplicate items. If you can't find it in your iTunes library, make sure it's been downloaded by selecting Check For Available Downloads from the Store menu."
And, by the way, I tried the advised method, too, which brought me: "All purchases have been downloaded for this account. You can burn a CD, DVD, or use shared folders on your local network to transfer them to another computer."
So, I'm at a loss. I don't want to buy all the games again, so if someone could please help me fix this problem, it'd be really appreciated.
    Thanks.

Im guessing the game isnt stated for ipod nano 5g so prob' no.
Sorry couldnt be of more help, unless you can find it in games and download it again for this generation ipod.

  • Deleting games on nano

I there a way to delete the games on the Nano? Would that free up more space for music? Don't really use the games.

The iPod software is closed to developers, so there is not a way to put a game on there currently that will work with Apple's software.
That being said, there are some brave souls that are running linux on their iPods, and even playing semi-functional versions of Doom. If you are feeling adventurous, you can take a look at the following site for some unsupported/unwarrantied software installations.

  • Where are games for nano 5th generation????

I have been looking and looking but STILL there are no games for ipod nano 5th generation on the itunes store. The games are only compatible up to 4th generation nano models. I have contacted itunes support and was told games would be there a week before Christmas!
This is a frustrating situation, and since then I have not had much luck with itunes support. Does anyone know when these games may be available??

its really sad how some people can't find the games. I actually searched on google to find them because I couldn't find them in iTunes. The URL for the games for the 5th generation is http://www.apple.com/games/ipod/ I really hope this helps you alot.
    Good luck

  • Can't play games on Nano?

My daughter has an iPod Nano.  She got an iTunes gift card and used it to purchase games, which she cannot play on her Nano (so we find out).  How can I get a refund?  Are there any games for the iPod Nano?

How can I get a refund?
Call the place where your daughter got them from.

  • No Games For Nano

Is it just me or is apple stupid for not making there great new line of iPod ready games for the nano too. Seems kind of stupid to me considering the only slim problem would be small screen size??

no, apple is NOT stupid for the games not working on the nano, because it CANT work on the nano. they did not CHOOSE to exclude you nano users, nano users CHOSE the nano over the video capable version. this is like complaining that its not fair that your DVD's dont work in your VCR. it just cant do it. it doesnt have the ability. and no software upgrade is going to help. it's the components inside your ipod that give it the ability to play videos and the games. the games you already have are primitive, with little graphics. your ONLY hope of getting new games on the nano, will be games similar to the ones you have now, like old school space invaders or something like that with little to no graphic detail. and in that case, send a suggestion to apple (which you can EASILY do) and wait.

  • I have a nano 8gb. Are there no games for it that you can purchase?

Wondering if you can purchase games for nano 8 gb or are they obsolete?

No games are available for it beyond any bundled with the device or previously bought; Apple stopped selling them.

  • I think the 2ndGen nano has the DNA for games

Just from looking and using my 2ndGen nano with the Search features and the new Audio Recording, its seems to definitely have the guts to run games.
With the Search Feature etc. The Firmware has to be there I bet Apple left it off on purpose till MacWorld or the next iPod rollout.
Maybe not ALL the games but most.
But on second thought Apple seems to be headed down a path to make the full size iPod this all in one Media Device
and keep the nano just for music.
oh well its cool they doubled the storage space ut I doubt a year from now 9-20-07 Apple will redouble the Nanos storage space like they did with 1st gen nanos
    I mean 4GB for $149 and 16GB for $249

Apple Could Easily Put Games On Nano's.
But Its Just For The Video Ipod's
Because They Make Way More Of A Profit Off Of The Video Ipod's compared to Nano's.

  • Apps (games) now syncing to new iPod

I recently purchased a new iPod Classic 180GB to replace an older iPod Video 80GB.   I have two games (Bejeweled and Mahjong) that won't sync to the new iPod.  They are categorized in iTunes under iPod (5th Generation).   Does this mean they won't work with my new iPod?

    Yes, they won't work.
My apps library has the following sections:
iPhone, iPod touch and iPad Apps
iPhone, iPod touch Apps (which will also install on an iPad)
    iPad Apps
iPod Games - iPod nano (3rd, 4th, and 5th generation, iPod classic, and iPod (5th generation)
    iPod (5th generation)
Games in this last category won't load onto the classic series. iPod games were removed from the store a few months ago so unfortunately you are no longer able to buy a compatible replacement for your device.

  • Access Privileges Errors

After renting a movie via iTunes I receive the following error:
"We could not complete your iTunes Store request. You do not have enough access privileges for this operation. There was an error in the iTunes store. Please try again later."
The movie downloaded, and this message appeared when trying to process the file. I have
tried downloading it twice and I get the same message every time.
I do share my library under the /users/shared and I have checked that access privileges are set to read/write for everyone. Apple didn't seem to be able to help after contacting the iTunes Store support.
Any ideas why I wouldn't have access privileges after renting a movie?

Had the same problem when trying to download a game for Nano 4. This library is also shared - seems all folder permissions are correct - first time with this problem.
Error message is slightly different - It does say "not enough access privileges" but then goes on to say "check network connection" - I'm assuming it means internet connection to iTunes Store - it's running fine. Downloaded a bunch of music with no problem.
Also should say - this machine has parental controls enabled.
    Anyone have a clue?

  • Is there a way to "reset" the games "played count" on the 5th Gen iPod Nano

I was just looking through my new iPod Nano (16 GB), and happened to select
all three games (Klondike, Maze and Vortex), but never played them, just looked and then
quit out of each game. Now I have a "game played" count on all three games.
I'm not sure if I may hang onto this iPod Nano or possibly look into an iTouch.
If I sell this new one on eBay, I would like to know how to reset the "game counts"
back to 0 or the original "default" of no game counts showing.
    Any help would be appreciated.
By the way, why would Apple even need to show a "game played count" on any of
the iPod Nano games ... very weird.

I think the only way you can reset play counts on games is if you do a full restore of the ipod. But, then again, if you plan on selling it on ebay, it'd be probably be best if you do the restore, that way it'd be like opening a brand new ipod for the new owner.
As for why Apple would want to keep track of game counts...I have no idea.
