Games playing on G4 MDD

What do I need to do to get Call of Duty 2 or similar resource hungry games to play OK on a G4 MDD (Dual 1.25, 1 gig ram, original graphics card - whatever that is)

I have a dual G4 MDD with 1.75GBRam, Radeon 9600 Pro.
COD 2 runs very well with their "normal setting" at 800x600. With a 9800 Pro, it should run with even higher settings.
I think that COD2 is multi-processor aware, so it uses the second CPU, and this makes a big difference. However, even my Powerbook G4 1.67 can run COD on normal settings.
I do not know why the dual G4's were excluded from the official specs, but they are definately capable of running it.
Also, there is now a demo. Give it a whirl.

How do I sync game play between my iPhone 5s and my iPod touch?

For example, if I have angry birds on both devices, how can I get my angry birds game play (levels completed, high scores, etc.) to sync between the two devices?

Is there a way to "reset" the games "played count" on the 5th Gen iPod Nano

I was just looking through my new iPod Nano (16 GB), and happened to select
all three games (Klondike, Maze and Vortex), but never played them, just looked and then
quit out of each game. Now I have a "game played" count on all three games.
I'm not sure if I may hang onto this iPod Nano or possibly look into an iTouch.
If I sell this new one on eBay, I would like to know how to reset the "game counts"
back to 0 or the original "default" of no game counts showing.
Any help would be appreciated.
By the way, why would Apple even need to show a "game played count" on any of
the iPod Nano games ... very weird.

I think the only way you can reset play counts on games is if you do a full restore of the ipod. But, then again, if you plan on selling it on ebay, it'd be probably be best if you do the restore, that way it'd be like opening a brand new ipod for the new owner.
As for why Apple would want to keep track of game counts...I have no idea.

Check the following:
That both your Mac and your iPad are signed into the same iCloud account
Go to System Preferences>iCloud on your Mac, confirm that you have checked Documents & Data, then click Options and confirm that Pages is checked.
Go to Settings>Pages on your iPad and confirm that "Use iCloud" is turned on. Also go to Settings>iCloud and confirm that Documents & Data is on, and that Pages is turned on in the app list.

If you are trying to play Flash-based games, you do not even have Flash installed; look in Addons>Plugins in FF for Shockwave Flash.

Firefox loads the Yahoo Games site but the ads on the right side overrun the game play area? How do I fix this?

My EI7 is crashing when I try and play the games sudoku and sometimes even word roundup but the game play screen area is totally visible.
My Firefox doesn't crash I just can't see the extreme right side of the game play area as the ad box on that side overlaps the play area.

Try to remove the Firefox plist file (org.mozilla.firefox.plist).

Does ram make game play smoother?

Hey, as many other people i am a minecraft lover, but currently on my 2010 white unibody macbook minecraft doesnt run very smoothly. I usually have to put the render distance on tiny because anything above short it makes the game play very laggy!
I was wondering would increasing the ram to 4Gb or even 8Gb instead of 2Gb make me ably to run minecraft on a far render distance?
Also it would be nice to know the performance of your computer/laptop compare to its specs.

It sounds like you may have multiple problems, but none of them are likely to be caused by malware.
First, the internet-related issues may be related to adware or a network compromise. I tend to lean more towards the latter, based on your description of the problem. See:

If investigation shows that this is not a network-specific issue, then it's probably adware. See my Adware Removal Guide for help finding and removing it. Note that you mention AdBlock as if it should have prevented this, but it's important to understand that ad blockers do not protect you against adware in any way. Neither would any kind of anti-virus software, which often doesn't detect adware.
As for the other issues, it sounds like you've got some serious corruption. I would be inclined to say it sounds like a failing drive, except it sounds like you just got it replaced. How did you get all your files back after the new drive was installed?

27in 2010 [Mid] Running Really Hot During Game Play

I've seen a couple other concerned users in here and figured I'd post my issue with my Oct (mid) 2010 27in i5 iMac.
For starters:
2.8ghz Intel i5
16gb of 1333 ddr3
ATI Radeon HD 5759 1024mb
Mac OS Lion 10.7.4
During game play the temperature of the top portion of the iMac exceeds 120'F, I'm fine with the heat, It's a large sealed aluminum case housing lots of hot items. Here's the catch my graphics begin to deteriorate and pixel/hexigon away so gaming is no longer visible... Now I've got a desk fan running behind the computer and can get a few more minutes before the pixel/hexigonal phase hits and game play must stop or be tolerated.
I just downloaded iStat widget to attempt to capture some temperature and fan data. Could this issue not be the temperature and maybe my GPU? Is there a standard limit of temperature to determine maybe my fans are not functioning correctly? Is there a safe way to clean the iMac's innerds without damaging anything?

Can you record live while game playing with adobe audition? I have a youtube channel and I want to record voice as I'm playing of course and cancel out the noise maybe put a nice effect on it.. That'll depend on the capabilities of the sound card/audio interface you're using. If that interface can feed the right things to Audition, it can record it. For just the game, look for "Wave Out" or "What U Hear" on the list of audio sources but not every system has this. Also, if you want to record your own contributions as well as the game sound, that gets more complex too.
I know that there are specialist pieces of software that are designed to record live gameplay (which don't rely simply on your local sound card). I know of a couple called "Action!" and "XSplite" but I have not personal experience with either.
However, before going that direction, check out the "Record Devices" menu in your sound system and see what it allows.

If you are meaning [http://wpepro.net http://wpepro.net], that tool doesn't use Firefox in the slightest. It uses TCP/IP (part of Windows) to Monitor networks (it can also be used nefariously).
Please update your Firefox to Firefox 11, as the version you are running Is vulnerable to Many known security holes. After you do that, try to see if your problem is still going on.

Choppy sound and game play with Google Chrome.

I'm getting choppy audio and game play with Bejeweled Blitz with google chrome. I tried all the solutions offered on the "Flash player games, video, audio don't work" site. None of which helped.
Any other ideas?

Do you notice any difference if you use the system version of Flash Player instead of the built in version included in Chrome?

Havok and interesting game play

I am only a newbie, and I have noticed this:
"Real physics usually doesn't make interesting game play".
does that mean that the Havok Physics engine is not "Real" physics, cause all the games made with havok are interesting??

it was used to make?Havok is a commercial "engine" that provides a developer with a suite of libraries that can be used to calculate the behavior of bodies in space. I realize on the face of it, my explaination sounds condescending, so please let me elaborate. Havoc simply consists of a collection of methods and functions - you still have to determine which behavior you want to effect. If your car hits an oil barrel, you still have to decide whether you want the barrel to slide, or pinwheel off in a parabolic arch, but once you do, you can provide Havoc with the masses and speeds of the two objects and Havoc gives you a nice plot of where the barrel should be, and what orientation at any given moment. That information can (in theory) be easily plugged into your graphics routines.
It's better to say that Havoc gives you the option of easily adding "realistic" behavior to objects, and of course, you can always subclass those methods to stimulate unconventional environments such as in space or deep underwater.
